I love their tea. It’s the best in England and my reason for coming back again and again. It’s a nice place, the food is good and the staff are very friendly and service minded.

A very warm welcome from all the staff followed by an excellent lunch. The restaurant was kind to find us two tables on a busy Saturday and served us quickly as we were rather short of time before going to the theatre. The food was delicious served with continental charm. A lovely experience and would happily return. Than you.

I enjoyed a lovely lunch with my children at Tuttons. We sat outside and enjoyed the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden whilst we relaxed in the sun. My children had the kids meals, chicken strips with chips, and the fish goujons and chips and I ordered a latte with chips. Their plates were completely finished and both children gave the food 5 stars out of 5. A special mention to the manager Fabio for great service and for being highly professional. Thanks, we will sure visit again!

Situated on the famous Covent Garden piazza, Tuttons is one of the longest standing restaurants in central London. The menu celebrates English cuisine and highlights British produce.

On a busy night, we were still able to walk in and get one of the last empty tables...and I'm glad we got the opportunity to eat here!

I started my meal with the Roast Butternut Squash Risotto. Just wow! It was cooked to the perfect tenderness while still having a firm bite. The flavours really complemented each other.

My main was pretty good as well. The stilton, broccoli, leeks and spinach puff pastry had this amazing creamy sauce with pine nuts and raisins. I also had a side of mashed potatoes to see how the Brits do it. Umm, delicious! Creamy and smooth!

Very cozy ambiance, very friendly staff. The food was good yet for some reason it wasnt satiating. The fish tasted way better than the chicken. The lavender drink was mindblowing (highly recomended). Didnt like the desert at all (rhubarb crumble), would have preferred something chocolaty.

Really decent bar attached to a restaurant in Covent Garden. In an area full of tourists and theatre goers, surprisingly the crowd in her are a mixture of mature diners and younger dressed up types having cocktails. A brasserie bustling feel with high ceilings. Not enough tables and a weird layout which leaves folk standing with their drinks in the walkway between the main entrance and passage to the restaurant. Not the most relaxing when you have to keep moving out of people's way. I would recommend this place for a pre-dinner drink as unless you have a table, it's not the most comfortable.

Had a lovely family Christmas meal. Buzzing atmosphere overlooking covent garden, service good, starter of beef carpaccio and some oysters. Main went for the pork and apple, very pleasant and good creamy mashed potato. Cheese board desert washed down with a couple of bottles of reasonably priced Malbec . Will come again

A nice place to enjoy a decent meal in Covent Garden. Had the pork cutlets, which were excellent but still not worth the price we paid for it. If you want great food, better to try Balthazar.

An institution for the last 30 years, in 2012 it had a makeover by interior designer Russell Sage. Now the furnishings are red retro luxe, with shiny mirrors and blanquette seating and the menu is traditional brassiere with an emphasis on great British produce. We were warmly welcomed on a Thursday night by the staff who knew we were coming - always a good sign. Tuttons was busy and had a great vibe, with lots of eager conversation.  The menu had a range of prices and a pre and post theatre menu for those watching the pennies.  I was worried that service would be slow, but our order was taken quickly but a very efficient waitress. W e ordered the the house white while we waited for our food. It was very pleasant for a house wine, clean and fresh with some acidity but not too sharp.  Then the starters. The onion soup came first, with a plentiful amount

For as long as I can remember, Tuttons Brasserie has been on the corner of Covent Garden Piazza and for as long as I can remember it’s somewhere that I’ve avoided!  Why  Like everyone I had my own favourites in Covent Garden and Tuttons never quite made it.  There was nothing particularly wrong with the place, but nothing outstanding about the food listed on the menu. So, it was with a mixture of curiousity and apprehension that I accepted an invite to try the newly revamped menu in the newly refurbished restaurant. We arrived on what was almost a sunny lunchtime and decided to risk eating al-fresco.  After all, one of the best things about Covent Garden is people watching…Tuttons does have a rather splendid upmarket brasserie interior now – shiny, well padded leather banquettes, a glorious art deco ceiling and enough mirrors to satisfy even the neediest narcissist.

As a British restaurant (although their website states "modern European"), it would be nice to see a little more seasonality in the menu, however the specials were excellently festive. It is pleasant to note, however, the multiple references to Kentish produce, which isn't too far from London. The prices are a little high for my usual tastes, but this is a celebratory dinner. It also suggests that Tuttons is aiming at the predominantly tourist market - fair enough for such a tourist centered area.

Tuttons is arguably one of the most famous and long standing restaurants in Covent Garden, situated on the east side of the historic piazza, overlooking the hustle and bustle of the markets. The building has been in use since the early 1800's, and Tuttons has been serving up delicious food for over 35 years. They are famed across the internet and print for their British approach to food. The interior may evoke a fancy American diner, or a classic French brassiere, but the food is decidedly British. With stand-out dishes on the menu including Kentish roasted beets with goat's cheese & beetroot mousse and Dingley Dell braised belly of pork with bubble & squeak, green beans & red wine sauce, you feel right at home with the dishes on offer.

We arrived to a friendly and polite manager, who quickly seated us at a wonderful table in the centre of the restaurant. The interior felt warm and cosy, with a distinctively wintery feel thanks to the tasteful festive decorations. We were treated to a celebratory glass of Prosecco which was cold, crisp and a great start to the meal.

There was appropriate waiting times throughout, with notably excellent service from our waiter. The small things such as remembering that only Alex takes pepper really made a difference to the entire experience. We were offered bread which was free (a great touch). The basket has three types of soft bread with wonderfully crisp exteriors and rich butter.

Based on my preference for fish, I went with the Seared scallops with crispy bacon, butternut squash puree and shiso cress and the Pan fried fillet of Sea bass with leek & potato mash, wild mushrooms with a Cornish crab & shrimp butter. Alex chose the festive terrine of venison, pigeon and game then pork belly with bubble and squeak and red wine juis.

Our starters arrived shortly after our bread (about ten minutes). The scallops and puree were wonderfully sweet and soft, balanced by the crisp and salty bacon. The delicate flavour balance was complemented by the excellent mix of textures. Alex's game terrine of venison, pigeon and 'game' (bit ominous!) was vibrant, fresh and gloriously meaty. The piccalilli that was served alongside it was sharp and really amped up the whole dish, cutting through the richness and giving a balanced mouthful.

We drank more wine then our mains arrived. Firstly they smelt absolutely incredible; rich and packed of flavour. My sea bass boasted two fillets which was a nice surprise, with perfectly crisp skin and wonderfully soft flesh. Just a slice of the fish alone was a joy to eat. The wild mushrooms bring a meatier touch to the dish and added texture, while the crisp green beans seem like a slight after thought. The fish was placed atop a quenelle of leek and potato mash which, unfortunately, make the mash a little greasy. That aside it was wonderfully smooth and the little leek surprises were a nice touch.

The star of the show was Alex's pork belly. The smell alone evoked memories of stunning roast dinners and nights in front of the fire. The pork was buttery soft, so much that you could cut through it with a spoon and worked excellently with the red wine juis. It would have been nice to have kept the crackling on the pork belly for added texture. The red wine juis was absolutely stunning; rich, velvety texture with a deep, meaty flavour. The bubble and squeak was a fun choice of carb and gave a novelty touch to the dish. This perfectly British dish was finished with crisp green beans which brought colour, texture and freshness to the dish.

Overall: The service throughout our visit to Tuttons was excellent, and our waiter was particularly attentive and thoughtful. Tuttons is well worth the price for a special occasion, however I would recommend a weekday evening visit, preferably in the off peak season, for the best experience.

A very sophisticated and elegant décor, with a very pleasant atmosphere to enjoy a meal. The service was very friendly and our food came very quickly. The food was okay, but didn't exactly hit the spot, which to be honest I would expect from the prices. The experience was fairly enjoyable but couldn't really justify visiting again mainly because it's fairly poor value for money.

Tuttons Covent Garden has been teasing me forever! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked by and wished I had a reservation there. In fact, I even took this photo of it one day in an effort to push the universe’s energy my direction. Yep. I wanted to eat there. Bad!

You can imagine how excited I was last week when I was contacted to review the restaurant. Beyond ecstatic!

Mr. Sunny and I had a reservation for 6:00pm and arrived right on time. The restaurant was already packed!

It’s located right in the Covent Garden Piazza, so I imagine it’s buzzing all day long.

I was immediately impressed with the array of options on the menu that were good for those who eat gluten free. Although nothing was marked, there seemed to be quite a strong selection.

We received a bottle of delicious wine. It was a very silky Fuzion Tempranillo Malbec.

Mr. Sunny was ‘ol over the little tasty treats on the table..

They kept him busy as he struggled to decide among several delicious sounding Starters. He chose, and loved, the Dedham Vale Beef Carpaccio with watercress and parmesan shavings.

As a sneaky side note, I have to tell you that we definitely giggled when I spotted the ‘Stinking Bishop and Asparagus Tartlet’ on the Starter menu. Remember the day I discovered Stinking Bishop cheese at the St. Albans Market? I had no idea it was a real delicacy!

As we sipped our wine, we relaxed, laughed and watched the hustle and bustle of the Piazza. Then, our Main courses arrived.

Mr. Sunny loves to flex his mussels. So, he picked the Native Mussels in a cream, shallot, leek and white wine sauce with matchstick chips.

I munched on a la la lovely Grilled Lamb Steak which includes roast butternut squash, red onions, cherry tomato and mint yoghurt.

During a quick trip to the loo, I noticed two private dining rooms. I learned from the website that these two rooms in the basement are called Vaults. They’re both newly refurbished and offer distinctly intimate atmospheres. They can be used for private parties, corporate dinners, and more.

And, while I was snooping downstairs, I just couldn’t help but follow the sounds of some thumping bass. After a few quick twists and corridor turns, I landed smack in the middle of Dirty Martini. You might remember me popping in their Regent Street location to chillax after winning an iPad Air at #RegentTweet. This Covent Garden location was filled with a rock star crowd, for sure!

Mr. Sunny and I certainly enjoyed our evening at Tuttons Covent Garden. However, aside from the great food, our experience was truly wonderful because of our server, Timea. She was one of the most hard-working and knowledgeable staff members we’ve ever encountered. Try to ask for her if you go. You’ll be happy you did!

If you have a Tastecard, be sure to check out the great deals you can get at Tuttons Covent Garden as well.

One afternoon me and my partner were out for movie and decided to dine at Tuttons. We dined at 1.00 pm prior to a matinee show. The service was quick, professional and the staff was really friendly. The food was delicious but a little expensive. The location of Tuttons is perfect, right by Covent Garden Market and close to the theaters. We also had couple of our friends with us who also enjoyed the food a lot and enjoyed the experience. They are relatively fussy with their food but had no complaints. Would definitely use Tuttons to recommend to all my friends.
I would give 10 on 10 to this place as the presentation of the food and service was just fab relative to the other restaurants.

Brilliant service from Mitchell and Shannon. Upon arriving I was warmly greeted by Mitchell who lead us to our window seat table and offered us drinks once we were seated, since being indecisive we asked for a recommendation which was the “Surf & turf, seafood risotto and crispy poached egg” all which were cooked perfectly and served in a timely manner. Would recommend going for dinner if you’re around Covent Garden

Lovely place right on the piazza in Covent Garden. Food was tasty but portions on the smaller side,.. We had the seafood risotto and the halloumi orrechiette with 2 small side salads of tomatoes with shallots and rocket salad with parmesan and balsamic, dessert was creme brulle. Service was very good and lively atmosphere.

I can’t rave enough about this place! I ordered the butternut squash risotto. The wait time was a little long but it was definitely worth it for such a well crafted meal. The risotto was creamy and delicious, and the chicken breast was juicy and succulent. 10 out of 10 would recommend

We had a reservation at Tuttons yesterday for dinner and it did not dissappoint! The food and cocktails were amazing! The restaurant was high class and the decor beautiful. Making a reservation is probably a good idea, as people were being turned away, if they did not have one. Our waiter was cheerful and friendly and our orders served quickly despite how busy they were. Perfect for a special treat. There was seating available outside also. Well worth a visit.

I wasn't sure how to rate Tuttons because 2 of my party thought the food was good, but the other 2 (this includes me) thought the food rather tasteless. I guess food tasting is subjective, however, as I was one of the 2 who thought the food was bland, I get the deciding vote, hence 3 stars for food. The service was ok, although we did have to wait an awful long time for service after being shown to our table, however, once the waitress came to us, both food and drinks came fairly quickly. As for the restaurant it's in a prime location in Covent Garden, which is very nice, but be prepared to pay a premium on your bill for this. When thinking of my reviews I always ask myself would I like to go back for a return visit and on balance, given the blandness of the food the answer is no.
