After a seven-hour flight, I needed a coffee and snack before the first chores of the day. The red-eye coffee (filter coffee with a shot of espresso) hit the spot, followed by a slice of Chocolate Guinness cake. Mmmmmmm. Not bad price and pleasant staff. Will I go again? Hell yes.
Brilliant choice of food in a very friendly atmosphere. Great vibes in the place. Lots of vegetarian choice.
Amazing corn fritters a very enjoyable bottomless brunch
Beautiful food and amazing service! Best brunch i had in london!!
Made the trip to London absolutely fantasic. Great food, even better coffee.
Top class, glad we went, staff and food were excellent! Can't wait to visit again! May have to purchase the cook book!
The Smashed avocado & beetroot cured salmon on sourdough toast with poached egg & rocket was delicious! 10/10
Thoughtful staff as ever. Great take away lasagne today guys!
Delicious Fish tacos! And nice to find a place named after my native Australian weed. That said, the food is no way a reflection of the weed itself, but was actually really good.
Service is quick and friendly as well.
It doesn’t take a lot to convince me that brunch is always a good idea! And our Lantana outing was no different…We decided to try Lantana (the Fitzrovia branch) as I’d heard lots of good things in the past. They don’t take bookings over the weekend so unfortunately you may have to queue for a while. However the wait is worth it. ...
I often find myself craving an Antipodean style of brunch in the weekend. There’s something to the laidback vibe, the flowing coffee, food that looks as good as it tastes. This feeling led to me to Lantana in Shoreditch, a very Australian cafe offering one of the best brunch options in the east. I didn’t find the portions outrageously-sized or anything, but I enjoyed both dishes I had. A punch of vibrance and some good cooking.
Some restaurants ought to have warning signs at their entrances. This might make you fat. This might cause grievous injury. You might find your future wife here. I found all of these were applicable to Lantana. Addressing the first point you will have to read the below. With regards to the second issue, it seemed that the serving staff were in a bit of a hurry today. So much so that when rushing to set the table next to me, the waiter impaled my foot with a dropped fork. Good thing I was wearing my hiking boots this day in prepeartion for an afternoon stroll. It duly glanced off without sinking into the flesh beneath. In respect to the last comment, I should have known from my visit to the Modern Pantry that brunch was very much the preserve of the fairer sex. Dressed in fancy wear, so obviously just out from a fashionable weekend yoga class, I thought that this was another venue I should recommend to my single friends.
Come for a quick Saturday Brunch and loved the place. Good food, excelent service. The cakes are amazing. Specially the Crack Cake. A place to come more often.
Great artisan vibe in this cafe, and check out the talent on my coffee. I'm kind of being stingy with my rating though because I evidently opted for the wrong choice when ordering here - I went for the sweet french toast option which was obviously not going to leave me as satisfied as the insane savoury options. The food envy I experienced when eyeing up my neighbour's toasted courgette bread with grilled halloumi, slow roast tomatoes, poached egg and chilli jam was definitely self-inflicted, but you know, the waitress could have intervened.
Great australian cafe this tiny place is always busy. It was this that led me to try it, as from the outside it didnt look like anything too special.
The service is extra friendly, coffee tastes a lot better when served with a smile. Cheesy but true. In fact the coffee was really good!
Didn't get to try the food but will be back soon!

Lovely little cafe on City Road with an inviting atmosphere and delicious coffee!
Ambiance: 3.5
Sunny and open with beautiful chalkboard art. I like the dark and light decor. My only complaint is that the inner portions of the cafe don't have as much light as there are fewer windows. I like my cafes sunny, as I like working while I drink my coffee. Wifi available, though, so that's great.
Service: 3.5
The barista seemed a tad stand-offish, but was friendly enough once you got your order in. I wouldn't say they were beaming with enthusiasm, though!
Coffee: 3.5
Quite tasty and served in cute, personalized coffee cups. The flavour was strong with the perfect amount of form ( I ordered a cappuccino!) It was good and hot, something I am partial to when it comes to coffee!
Final Verdict:
It's my new favourite nearby grab and go coffee place. Not my first pick for indoor seating ambiance, though.
Lovely local spot in the financial district that I popped into while on mini holiday in London. The coffee pour over was amazing and well worth the wait. Smooth and lovely. The Turkish eggs with halloumi was outstanding. The flavors mixed so well. It was very satisfying and a far cry from the traditional breakfast I was thinking to order. The waiter recommended this flavor explosion and he was spot on. I took a picture for all you folks but couldn’t help digging in right away.
Healthy and hearty breakfast in the heart of Shoreditch. You’ll need to make a booking on weekends as it gets busy! Love the Turkish eggs with Lamb koftas and the smashed avocado. Corn fritters are good here too!
Hit this place up for lunch with three other colleges. Food was tasty, service could have been a bit more attentive, but realise it was peak lunchtime. Nice atmosphere with a chilled vibe. Will come again.
The Wild Mushroom was so flavourful and filling. While it’s on the pricier end, the portions are large and satisfying. Great breakfast/brunch place with great service!
I appreciated that the restaurant allowed us to book a table for more than 10 people, unlike other places. The food was decent, and the staff was extremely polite and friendly. Thank you very much!
Nice brunch spot, lots of different options on food and juices. Coffee is really nice too. Great efficient service from Ashley - our table had quite a few different needs from allergies to specific orders and she accommodated us throughout. Also great allergy menu with allergens highlighted red for an easy read
We had an amazing time. The food was perfectly cooked. Eggs perfekt bacon not overdone. Just try it. U will not regret it
Lovely breakfast, decent sized portion but a little pricey - £18. Quality was good so can justify the slightly higher spend.
The Lantana katsu was amazing! The chicken was perfectly breaded and fried, and the sauce was delicious. The service was also great, and the atmosphere was perfect for a sit-down meal.
Dropped in for a working lunch with colleagues. Service was super prompt, so it's a good option if you want a sit-down lunch spot - but are pressed for time.
Everything we had was decent. The halloumi fries absolutely heavenly though - would highly recommend
Total price came up to around £25 per person. Worth a visit.
Came here on a Sunday morning having made a reservation before and was glad we did as it was full when we got there. Ordered the bubble Benedict while my friend had the smashed avocado toast with roast tomatoes and they were both great. Good portions and very tasty. We then ordered the sticky toffee pudding and warm chocolate brownie to wrap up our brunch. We stayed there for 2.5 hours and not one moment did we feel we would be kicked out soon since we were there for so long. Cappuccino was strong enough for me too without a sour aftertaste so really good experience all around!
I had the veggie smashed avocado and it was amazing! Atmosphere warm and the staff very friendly!
This place was fantastic.
3 people, 3 meals, 3 rave reviews.
Great food!! Lovely staff & service.
My only minus is it’s a little on the expensive side.
I think adding 1 sausage or 2 slices of halloumi or a couple pieces of streaky bacon @ £5 a piece is bit ridiculous.
Lovely breakfast this morning. Great coffee, good service that wasn't overbearing as it can be sometimes in restaurants, and the food was delicious! The avocado poke bowl was so fresh and tasty and my friend really enjoyed his tacos. Highly recommended
Really impressed by the menu variety and the portion sizes - the best brunch I’ve had in ages!
I’ve been here 3 times so far for lunch and here’s my opinion on the food from best to average
Pulled Pork Bánh: Best dish so far! I looooove it! The sauce, the meat and the shallots all taste so good individually as well as together!
Fish tacos: pretty good and filling portion. Hard to eat them because of the amount of filling! I love them, though they definitely lack spice. Second to best option
Corn fritters with bacon: these are pretty good too: the bacon is delicious, though the corn fritters get boring after a while as there isn’t enough fraiche or avocado to eat it with. Don’t know why it says “roast tomatoes” when there is just one tomato served.
They have a buy one get one free offer on coffees if you fill out a survey!
I like the servers, especially the waitress with glasses! Overall, I love the pork and the prices are so reasonable, thus I rated it 5 stars!
Great little spot with an interesting combination of middle Eastern and Asian food. Everything was fresh, interesting and full of full of taste. Our Asian pork belly was one of the best I tasted in London. To top it all up service was quick and friendly and prices were actually OK considering the area. I do recommend booking in advance unless it's Monday as its always full.i will definetly return to try the weekend brunch if I manage to get a booking in.
We visited on a Sunday morning around 11am; as there was only two of us we got a table but I'd recommend booking.
The menu was good with full English, French toast and unlimited prosecco brunch options.
The service was good, although breakfast took a while to arrive - maybe that's a weekend relaxing thing! The interior was relaxed and informal with a nice atmosphere.
Our coffee arrived quickly and was very good (and pretty!). Food was nicely presented and tasted fresh. Would definitely go back to try the cakes!!
