Such a great brunch today, the food was delicious and the our waiters Dan and Amanda were very attentive and friendly. I definitely recommend the Turkish eggs as a hangover cure!

Very good roast chicken and steak. Fast service and was surprised how fast our main dishes came out. They were very helpful when we asked how to get somewhere. The gentleman even pulled the place up on his phone to show us where to go. Thank you!

Sunday lunch here today. Pays to book ahead to get s table. However there seems quite a large first come first serve area as well. Large outside area as well inc a little kids area which is great.

Reasonable prices, concise menu but cover the range from pork belly down to squid ink risotto so something for most people.

Kid friendly, quick service.

Will happily go back.

Sometimes a meal leaves an indelible mark in the memory. Sometimes a meal is so profoundly exquisite that you salivate over it, you taste it, long after the plate is cleared. Sometimes a meal, sometimes a dish. At The Latchmere Pub in Clapham, picked uncaringly and wolfed down, I had perhaps the best pork dish I’ve ever had.

The Latchmere is a great local pub for a nice drink - especially in the summer when you can use the outdoor beer garden. I love that all the windows open fully so even when you're sitting inside it's not too hot and you don't feel as though you're missing out on the good weather.

The staff are really friendly (and make a mean gin & tonic!) and are always willing to give you a hand when you can decide what to drink.

Not too badly priced for the area, but maybe a touch expensive. Always worth popping in!

This is my local pub and its great.  The food is excellent a proper gastro pub with reasonable prices and choices.  the sunday lunch is superb with the biggest yorkshire pudding you will ever see!  Theres a theatre upstairs and the whole place has had a make over from a grotty avoid it pub to the rustic decor it has now.  I do prefer to go here in the winter as the garden has the tv on and I tend to abscond to the Duke of Cambridge.  Obviously in Battersea we have an amazing selection of pubs but this one is still my favourite.  Plus its more or less opposite my shop which helps for an after work tipple!

With the first Sunday Lunch Club taking place at the somewhat underwhelming Crooked Well in Camberwell, we were on the lookout for another South London pub to satisfy our Sunday cravings. Having accidentally left planning to last minute we were slightly limited to choice and ended up at The Latchmere in Battersea.

Following a major reno, The Latchmere pub on Battersea Park Road has recently reopened under the guiding hand of the Renaissance Pubs group to offer a comfortable and attractive venue (think: Victorian with light contemporary accoutrements and minus any twee fittings) for all those pubby things we like to do as Londoners. Kemey and I paid visit a couple of weekends ago for one of our most favourite of pubby activities – Sunday lunch! – and were more than pleased with our experience. Here are some of the highlights.

Kudos to the Latchmere staff for immediately bringing a jug of tap water to our table soon after being seated! It’s a little thing, but such a gesture goes a long way to helping ensure a decent dining experience. Service remained friendly and consistent during our lunch. And what a lunch it was!

A starter course of aubergine and mozzarella ravioli with aged Parmesan butter (£6.75 as a starter, £11.75 as a main) was a nice way to commence the meal (although completely unnecessary given how massive my main course was). My roast – grain fed beef topside, with “all the trimmings” (£14.50) – was a mound of yum dwarfed only by the mega Yorkshire pudding perched atop the meaty mass. A tip of the hat to the importance of provenance and an apparent commitment to supporting nearby producers, the beef came from Renaissance Pub’s “own farm” – an appreciated touch!

Kemey was pleased with her choices as well: cauliflower and Stilton soup (served with excellent grilled bread, £5) to begin followed by the veggie Sunday roast (pumpkin and trimmings, £10). I think for our tastes, the kitchen could have gone a little easier on the butter and been a tad more generous with the gravy with each dish involved. But I reckon I’d just mention such next time I visit and they’d accommodate.

Puds were pleasant. I liked the salted sticky toffee pudding, vanilla ice cream (£5.50) while Kemey had no qualms with the “strawberry and passion fruit mess” presented to her (£5.50).

A pint of locally brewed Sambrooks Wandle went down well with the meal (and cheers to my waitress for the rec).

I was excited to visit because of the rave reviews - it was a decent roast but I wouldn't say the best I've ever had! The food was well seasoned and the giant Yorkshires were perfect, and portions were huge. But it could have been hotter, the slices of meat were on the thin side and the roast potatoes could have been crispier.

Have been here for drinks a few times and it's always been a nice atmosphere. The beer garden out the back is lovely. We went for Sunday lunch today and the roasts were gorgeous, probably the best roast I've had at a pub/restaurant. The portions were very generous and each of our meats were very tasty. Everything on the plate was very flavoursome. There was a great offer on for locals for ÂŁ20 when you spend ÂŁ60 which made the price very reasonable. Also bonus points for it being super dog friendly, a great local place to bring the dog for a drink.

Great pub with a decent selection of food. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the Latchmere because it feels like and old, traditional pub, but it's well kept and clean. There's plenty of indoor space, enough for a few families with kids (and there's a kid's menu!), but they also have a patio area that also includes covered booths and TVs for watching matches. I had the ribs for dinner, which were surprisingly good, and came with a small side salad and chips. Everything our group ordered looked quite tasty, and the kids happily finished all of their fish and chips order.

I absolutely loved my experience at The Latchmere! The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was simply outstanding, each dish bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. The ambiance was delightful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Super dog friendly. And let's talk about the birthday offer – what a fantastic deal! For just £20, we got so much value for our money. It was a generous package that included not only a scrumptious meal but also a memorable celebration. I truly felt pampered and appreciated as a guest. I highly recommend The Pub to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience. Whether it's a special occasion or a casual outing, this place has it all – great service, mouthwatering food, and a charming setting. I can't wait to return and make more wonderful memories there! Cheers to The Pub for exceeding my expectations! 🍻

Lunchtime service. Food was lovely and well presented. One minor grumble they did not have brown sauce to go with my stake and ale pie. The staff were very pleasant. For us, we wanted to catch up, so the atmosphere was quiet, which was perfect. I gather it is a very popular social point and has a very busy vibe at weekends and evenings.

My partner and I had our wedding celebration at The Latchmere in November 2021 and could not be happier with our decision to do so. Working with Corbin was seamless and efficient and on the day he and his team were so great it just made the experience even better. The food was incredible and they were really open to allowing us to customise the experience in the way we wanted. The atmosphere of the pub was so perfect and fit the exact vibe we wanted to have for our wedding day. Would highly recommend other couples looking for a chill, but really fun wedding experience to consider them. Or honestly just going in for the food and drink in general!

I love this pub and I have been a regular for nearly 32 years and have seen so many changes for the better. I took my Mother and her friend out for lunch last Friday. Great welcoming male Aussie host with a goaty beard. He was attentive and gave us a VIP treatment. We had the Pre-Theatre Deal which is a bargain at £17 for 2 courses. Started off with the chicken and pork terrine with a wild salad and toast. Lovely chunky terrine and full of flavour. Main course was the Fish and Chips and 10 out of 10. I nearly fell off my chair when it arrived. The battered haddock was bigger then my hand!! Lovely fresh flaky haddock with triple cooked steak chips and all the condiments. Best fish and chips I have ever eaten. Unfortunately I could only eat half but my Mother and her friend polished off the rest! No food wastage for us! Our belly’s content with such amazing food and service. Our amazing Aussie Host twisted our arms in having the desert. We shared the Bonofee Pie. It was a massive portion and heavenly. I will definitely be coming back with the entire family. Great welcoming staff, brilliant selection of beers and wines and the food is out of this World. They do a 33% Discount if you sign up with them for Mon - Friday. Thank you so much to the Latchmere Staff for a great lunch afternoon and see you soon. To the Aussie Barman with the goaty beard, my Mother saus you rock!!’ Thankyou for the great service and my compliments to all the kitchen staff.

Great local pub with an emphasis on good pub grub and a good range of beers and wines. I’ve been a number of times now for weekend roasts as well as mid week dinner and drinks with both friends, young children, and older relatives and usually there’s is something to please everyone - highlights include the roasts, imaginative alternative mains, and nice touches like scotch eggs and other bar snacks. Recommend.

Great pub for a Sunday roast, the Yorkshire puddings are absolutely massive and the meat and veg are perfectly seasoned and well cooked. The desserts are worthwhile and come with a decent dollop of ice cream. Could've been hotter, but that's the only criticism. The service was excellent.

Best Sunday roast I think I've ever had. Staff were really friendly and personable. Place was a little noisy but like in a good atmosphere kind of way. Would highly recommend and I can't stop thinking about that roast!!

Old school pub with a really great crowd. The staff are very kind hearted. One of the few places in London where you can get away from rowdiness and have a really pleasant time.

Good atmosphere and good service. Interesting watching the locals attend with there fashion dogs small enough to fit in a bag OR looked after enough to be brought to the pub on a child’s buggy. I left feeling out of place for not having a dog with me. Needless to say the dog breed were not common breeds.
