Very close to Victoria Station and just up the road from Buckingham Palace (which is where we were in our way to!). We even went back in there on the way back!... can definitely recommend the chicken sharer platter, it was lovely. Great tangy BBQ sauce

Proper Good London Pub. Great local London Pub. Next door to the now famous Goring Hotel that the Middletons stayed at prior to the Royal Wedding, this was my spot of choice to enjoy a top notch pub breaky (with Champers) on the big day. Added advantage was that we could pop out to see the Royal procession. Good local with sound pub grub.

This wasn’t the best pub I visited in Victoria. They had a decent selection of beer, and I had never seen the hand pumps before, but I ended up leaving not satisfied. We did find a whiskey we like here though, that’s why I gave the fourth star. The food was just ok. We had the nachos and some fries. The chips were good and the VERY LITTLE cheese on them was decent, but it was not good overall. We hate about half and went elsewhere.

Bag O' Nails, nestled on Victoria Street in London, England, is a hidden gem that seamlessly marries traditional pub charm with the quintessential British dish, fish and chips. Upon entering, you'll be immediately captivated by the warm, inviting atmosphere, complete with a delightful bar. The bar at Bag O' Nails offers an extensive selection of libations, from classic cocktails to a wide array of wines and craft beers. The skilled and friendly bartenders create a perfect setting for pre-dinner drinks or a night out with friends. The cozy, dimly lit surroundings add a touch of elegance to your visit. Now, let's dive into the food. Bag O' Nails doesn't just serve fish and chips; they elevate this classic dish to an art form. The crispy batter enveloping the tender fish fillet is cooked to perfection, delivering that satisfying crunch with every bite. The accompanying golden fries are exactly what you'd expect from traditional pub fare – crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Don't forget the mushy peas and tartar sauce, which complete the dish with their authentic flavors. This dedication to crafting the perfect fish and chips is a testament to Bag O' Nails' commitment to preserving the essence of traditional English pub cuisine. It's comfort food at its finest, and it's evident that the chefs take immense pride in serving this beloved dish. In summary, Bag O' Nails on Victoria Street is a must-visit for those seeking the ultimate fish and chips experience in London. This establishment seamlessly combines a welcoming bar with outstanding, traditional pub food, making it a cherished spot for both locals and tourists alike.

The Bag o Nails a pub on the corner between Victoria station and Buckingham Palace. Lovely service, a fine selection of beers, both cask and keg. Rapidly fills as soon as the doors open with a joyous cosmopolitan crowd. A good place for a beer, you won't be on your own!

Tucked near the regal Buckingham Palace, the 'Bag O'Nails' restaurant is a charming gem that combines a wonderful vibe with a fantastic location. My recent visit left me with a mostly positive impression of this establishment, where the energy was palpable, the servers were welcoming, and the ambiance was delightful. The first thing that struck me upon entering was the inviting atmosphere that seemed to envelop the space. The well-thought-out decor and cozy interior immediately set a warm tone for the dining experience. The lively vibe was infectious, and it was clear that this was a place where locals and tourists alike could come together for a good time. Speaking of the location, it's hard to ignore the allure of being in such close proximity to Buckingham Palace. The historical grandeur of the surroundings added an extra layer of appeal to the overall experience. There's a sense of being part of something special as you dine in this location. The servers at 'Bag O'Nails' were a true highlight of the visit. Their friendliness and warm demeanor created a welcoming environment that made us feel right at home. However, it's worth noting that there were instances where getting their attention was a bit challenging. Given the restaurant's bustling nature, it's understandable that they were juggling numerous tables. While this did slightly affect the overall experience, it's a minor quibble considering the busy nature of the establishment. Now, let's talk about the food. The Fish n Chips, a British classic, was satisfying in its own right. However, it did lack a bit of the distinctive flavor that I've come to expect from similar dishes at other establishments. While it wasn't a disappointment by any means, there was room for a bit more seasoning or a unique twist to make it truly memorable. In summary, 'Bag O'Nails' near Buckingham Palace is a place that encapsulates the heart of London's charm. The vibrant atmosphere, friendly servers, and excellent location create an ambiance that's hard to resist. While there might have been some minor issues with getting the server's attention and the flavor profile of the Fish n Chips, these are small blemishes on an otherwise enjoyable experience. I would certainly recommend this restaurant for those seeking a quintessentially British dining experience with a lively twist.

You need to order from the bar 1st and then they'll bring your food. It was pretty crowded at lunch time but we found a table inside. We split a burger, it was VERY good. The beer was nice and cold. The employees were friendly and helpful.

The signature burger was quite delicious! The pork belly and sauce added extra flavours that you don't typically find on a burger. We ordered a side of gravy and it was honestly one of the best gravies we've ever had! The service was kind of strange in that there is no actual waiter so that was a bit annoying. Most annoying were the toilets as they were super crammed, up a large flight of stairs and not very hygienic. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the food.

The best dinner! My chicken burger was absolutely delicious, probably the best burger I have ever had. My partners pie was delicious. I had a ginger beer, which was okay, and my partner had a beer. We sat upstairs in the dining room and had a nice view.

Saw the pup a year ago but couldn't stop in, in 2023 I have zero regrets, such a chill pub. The staff are great beer selection big and the atmosphere is super chill. Just a walk away from the hustle and bustle of Buckingham Palace a great spot to sit down and just relax

Get here early if you are having lunch the place fills up fast. Fish and chips are authentic and delicious. Only one server today which slowed things down a bit otherwise a great place to grab a pint and eat.

A good traditional pub with gastro cuisine twist on classic favourites such as steak and ale pie (pictured). Stunning location and friendly service. My wife’s soup arrived slightly less than hot, but my pie was piping and the additional IPA flavoured bbq sauce for the wedges was an inspired accompaniment. Drinks were somewhat overpriced but overall a great experience.

Great selection of beer, but they aren’t printed in the menu. Go check. Steak and ale pie was pretty yummy (though the chips were middling). Loses points because you have to go to the bar to order and pre-pay your meal (I almost lost my table in the process). Overall a good experience, but I might have ordered more (another drink, dessert?) if I didn’t have to go and make the order myself.
