Byron was really good. I like my burger well done and it wasn't a problem. Their sides are fab. Good food combined with good friends made for a fun evening.

Thank you for being one of the few high street food joints that has a well thought out vegan option that is healthy, filling and reasonable in price. I love that you can add, remove and swap items. The beetnik burger is delicious and suitable for those that are lactose intolerant. Additionally the burger can be swapped for a gluten free bun or made skinny, with the skinny option coming with a generous portion of salad (unlike some places that pad out a few green leaves across a bowl). We'll done!

Byron was recommended by a friend who has been to London before, and I do have to say I was not disappointed! The classic burger was delicious! And the mac and cheese was soooo good! The service is great, excellent waiters. I'm definitely going there again!

Had a perfect double bacon cheeseburger for lunch. Unfortunately you have to get fries as an extra ... A bit cheap.
The burger was superb, I've heard others giving it mixed reviews but seriously it's one of the best burgers I've ever had. A light fluffy bun and great sauces. The pot of fries were a bit too salty but tasty. Good helpful, friendly service kept us supplied with drinks. Price wise was agreeable food wise but maybe the wines were overpriced.
Definitely a must if your wanting a burger fix.

Location: On the first floor of One New Change is little burger restaurant called Byron (no doubt overshadowed by Jamie Oliver's Barbacoa), one of chain of around 10 restaurants across London. Byron is a small, pine furnished space, spattered with mocha leather booths, but its charm comes from its huge open kitchen, from which loveliness is produced.

Price:
£10.50 (we went for the 'Big D' burger, and then accessorised it with bacon and cheddar)

Presentation:
Not bad at all. Nice solid bun, interesting mixture of salad, tomato, lettuce, onion and mayo. Presented 'bun on' with a massive slice of pickle, all resting on a piece of greaseproof paper on a plate.

Lifting the lid (so to speak) revealed 8oz of prime beef burger that was about 2/3 the size of the bun, which was a little disappointing.

Bread:
Floury, yet nicely toasted bap. Good enough quality to hold together throughout the eating of the burger. As readers of this blog know, a poorly executed bun can bring the whole burger experience crashing down like a house of cards. I'm pleased to say this bun, while uninspiring, was of very good quality. My only issue with it was it massively outsized the burger, ending up in some serious air biting...

Meat:
Really goooood. Impressive for just £10.50, the meat came out medium (it was a pretty thick burger and they didn't cook it any less than than that), full of flavour, a with a touch of juice dripping from the patty as I lifted it off the plate. And it's what you'd expect from O'Shea's butchers in Knightsbridge. This, ladies and gentlemen, is a meat win!

Plate Accessories:
Nothing except a lonely slice of (really quite tasty) pickle. Although I did order a side of skin on chips, which were nice (reckon they were double cooked at least...).

Overall rating: 8/10

To sum up the Byron burger experience, I'd say: excellent quality meat, nicely made beef patty (if a little small), unimaginative bun but decent quality, decent bacon and cheese topping though miffed we had to pay extra for them. My dining companions both had Monterey Jack cheese with their Big D burgers, and found it pretty good as well. This is definitely a recommendation for this place - and if you are going for just a burger with no frills - you'd be hard pushed to get a tastier burger for just over £10.

If you are looking for a suitable chain,
Then Byrons burgers is always a safe bet,
The salsa I'm afraid to say was awful plain,
Their guacamole though, the best I've tried yet,
Better still, courgette fries, no one could refrain,
And moderate pricing won't leave you in debt,
The staff were friendly, and I liked the decor,
Wouldn't rush back, but it deserves a good score.

I have yet to find a restaurant in London which can improve upon the burgers produced here - their burger with bacon, avocado and green chillis served with courgette fries is a joy to behold and even better to eat! Together with a peanut butter malted milkshake and you're in glutton heaven.

Great burger choices, salads if you wish, tasty desserts, craft beers, decent wine, what's not to like?!?

This is one of the best Byron's that I have visited so far. The staff are friendly and polite and food arrives quickly although it gets exceptionally busy at lunch time. The seating on the right is great for a group of 4-5 as it kind of cuts you off from the rest of the restaurant and gives you a bit of freedom.

As of all Byrons, I would just go for the classic, normal fries and an Oreo milkshake for dessert. Aw and also if you don't like overly greasy food DON'T get onion rings as they are surprisingly of a lower quality than anything else at Byron.

With the american burger restaurant currently the fashion in London, Byron is a very acceptable addition to the group; and a welcome change to ridiculous queueing and dodgy interior design!

That being said, this Byron, in the heart of the glass-monolith One New Change is probably the least well designed of all the ones I have been to - I guess it is hard to really enjoy the restaurant atmosphere in a shopping centre.

As always, the burgers are tasty and cooked to order - mine was most-definitely medium rare - and the simple array of combinations are enough to sate most burger needs. My Chilli Burger was brought to life with a fantastic chipotle mayo, although it is almost totally lacking in spiciness - perhaps a concession to the more consumerist nature of a chain.

The milkshakes are a brilliant desert fare and more than enough for two to share.

Really lovely burger out at Byron Burger Bar in London opposite to the Shaftesbury theatre. The server showed us to our table, we booked in advance. The server advised us of the best deal - Uncle Sam burger for £9.99. Great food, nice atmosphere. Toilets were upstairs and were clean. I would visit again.

Years ago, I had an amazing experience at Byron burger and I’ve finally come back to try again. It doesn’t look like they have courgette fries anymore or give a long slice of pickle to go with the burger. The burger was really tasty even though the quality seems to have changed. It was a little on the medium to rare side, but I’m ok with that. The mac and cheese was ridiculously stringy and really enjoyable. I have to go back again and try it again to see if it was just a one off. I’d definitely recommend trying their burgers.

A great restaurant/diner with amazing food. The staff is friendly and forthcoming. The food is fresh and well prepared and the atmosphere is great (personal taste). It’s like an American diner. I’ve visited Byron several times, before the pandemic and after. It’s still amazing.

Enjoyed a mouthwatering festive Brie Merry Burger: 6oz patty, creamy brie, bacon, braised red cabbage with spinach, mulled plum chutney and home made mustard mayo. Most delicious.

Thank you so much to the manager for seating 6 of us so quickly. We just had a bad experience at another nearby Japanese restaurant, as we have a guide dog and the restaurant staff were being horrible 😔 The food at Bryon's was hot and tasted great, especially the onion rings and chicken strips. Thank you to all the staff, we left very full 😄

One of the best burger restaurants I've ever visited. The meal was very delicious and the milkshake with the whiskey shot - just extraordinary.
