Service was excellent and we genuinely felt looked after here. The waiter knew the menu back to front and was super helpful and attentive. Really nice atmosphere and I always appreciate a good playlist. The food was absolutely spot on - I can't recommend the crab linguine enough. Only thing I regret is not ordering one of the prosecco slushies.

Great pasta dishes in a really cool surrounding. Loved the terrazzo tables, mural and music too - nice drinks, seems a fun place.

GREAT PASTA - GOOD MUSIC - REASONABLY PRICED!
Chef and restaurateur Stevie Parle has recently opened a new pasta restaurant in Carnaby called Pastaio. The restaurant shares a similar concept to Padella – focusing on small-plate hand made pasta. They did a soft launch for a week and we took advantage of the 50% off discount to try it out.
Good location, pasta was fresh and tasted great. Had traditional and modern twists on the menu. Drinks were reasonably priced. Enjoyed it and felt was good food, well priced with a good location.
Great spot in Carnaby for Italian pasta. Great atmosphere and service. Also big portions. It’s a great spot for a lunch or refuel before continuing your journey around London

Had made a reservation online but it was a relatively quiet Monday visit at 4pm.
We ordered the olives as nibbles to come before our mains:
Dad ordered: Crusco chilli, rocket puree, breadcrumbs, green spinach spaghetti - I tried some of this and it was really delicious, lovely crunchy bits of breadcrumbs and chilli seeds enhanced the texture of the dish!
Mum had the Bolognese which I have had in the past and know how deliciously rich it is. She had the chocolate sorbet for dessert and commented that it's not much different to a chocolate ice-cream!
I had the Nettle & ricotta ravioli, butter, parmesan - very buttery and rich, lots of sage and the nettles add a nice crunch! Wanted the pistachio ice-cream but all out so had the tiramisu instead and this was heavenly!
I had 2 of the Sour Amaretto Slushies and could probably have had at least 5 more as they were DIVINE.
Do not believe the reviews about portion sizes - they are just right and not too big to be GREEDY. The quality of the food is outstanding and sometimes incredibly rich that more would just be sickly!
I only -1 star as I had to keep getting the servers attention for drinks (especially on a very hot day), menu, bill, etc. - particularly when it was not even busy.
Had lunch at PASTAIO today. Just fabulous.
The lobster pasta was so delicious and big portion for 2 that we couldn’t finish. The waitress who was serving us on the terrace was so attentive. She has such a welcoming smile and great customer service. We also ordered the house white which accompanied the lobster tagliatelle beautifully. Thank you team for this amazing experience.
Home made pasta is amazing. One of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. The service was quick and very professional, the food was amazing and location spot on.
Great place to meet friends. Love the vegan options (they even have a separate menu). Service was great. Music is a little loud but that‘s a personal preference thing. Absolutely love the frozen drinks.
INCREDIBLE! I had the artichoke and lemon pasta and an aperol spritz and they were both delicious! The pasta was perfectly cooked and flavored, and it was a good portion size for the price. The hostess was super nice and found room for me even though I didn’t have a reservation.
Ate here twice. Once with family. We chose it because the kids menu is proper food (not nuggets and rubbish), just smaller portions. We all loved it and I can't believe how reasonably priced it is for the location! Excellent service, friendly, welcoming. Delicious food, homemade pasta. Really a great place to eat!
Went there to try the whole lobster pasta to share. Although great presentation, it lacked a bit of flavor and the lobster was overcooked. However, it was lovely to sit on the terrace and enjoy some good London weather. My partner loved the slushies, I had a Negroni.
Great place for a basic pasta, like tomato with basilica, really tasty and delicious.
However the “advanced” pastas like Bolognese are overpriced, as of me. The size of plate is the same, it has a little of meat and price 2.5x higher than a basic one. It still tastes good, but I just can’t say that it worth those money
Real carbonara in London! Nice service and great flavours. They have a kids menu with three different pasta dishes, small size. They have high chairs and a lovely atmosphere, but the terrace can be a big noisy.

Not being from London, we was looking for a restaurant that was in a central location and was able to offer one of my fussy friends a fair choice of food to choose from ... Pastaio was chosen and they more than delivered!
My friends and I had a fabulous time here celebrating (I hate to say it my 40th) birthday. The restaurant has a lively, cozy atmosphere.
Our server was friendly and attentive he noticed my birthday badge that I reluctantly was made to wear and tried to hide under my hair, he later had arranged for a complimentary tiramisu complete with candle to be presented in front of me. ( I did quiz my friends if this was prearranged but they had said no.)
On to the food... fab-u-lous!!! EVERYTHING was super tasty, seasoned to perfection. We had some anti pasti to share, Focaccia, Squash copanata, Burrata, chickpea with octopus. Mains we had the Slow roasted tomato pasta, Clam linguine and the Whole lobster linguini for 2. Plus desserts too. And wine lots of wine. Whilst chatting after the meal they also compd us some lemoncello each too totally unexpected.
Thanks Pastaio, I'll be recommending and will also be sure to come back!

Modern place in a fun area. The slushies are a nice treat and food is good. Honestly our favorite picks were the facaccio and burrata. The pasta options were good and we really loved their pesto sauce. Prices are a bit high, but service was great and we felt like they took great care of our group. We'd definitely go again and do recommend it if you're looking for pasta in this specific area.
