The staff were so accommodating despite me confusing bookings and the food is absolutely superb. A modern, relaxed atmosphere and the understanding that it's best to keep things simple makes this one of the best restaurants around.
Wonderful dishes and nice staff. A mix of Mediterranean food with the tappas idea is great, so you can try a bit of everything what they offer. I recommend Morito!
Very nice tasty food and very good service and we went on a busy Saturday night, would highly recommend
Lovely atmosphere, very attentive knowledgable staff, happy to explain dishes in detail & offer options.
Polenta dipped aubergine chips served with a succulent goat & chick pea dish with yoghurt was really good.
Great choice of wines.
Raspberry & yoghurt ice cream with gooey granola fudge was delicious.
Would defo recommend if you're in the area.
Great food! Wish there were more vegetarian options as 2/3 of the menu is fish and meat - All in all great flavours, though.
So happy they have my favourite beer, Alhambra.
My favourite dishes were the Cheese Fritters and Croquetas!
Morito Hackney Road is the third restaurant from Sam & Samantha Clark of Moro and Morito on Exmouth Market fame. Unlike the Exmouth Market location, the space is here is open and relatively large, with high concrete ceilings, concrete floors, and bright lights.
We only popped in for a little late afternoon snack but were mightily impressed. Nice airy space and already quite busy at 18:00.
The two of us shared the fried aubergine with date molasses and feta. A generous mound of aubergine fries for $7 were beautifully balanced in both flavor and texture. Aubergine cut like chips had been dredged in cornmeal and then deep fried. They were bone dry and light, not at all greasy. Drizzled with sweet date molasses, sitting in a pool of salty pureed feta and sprinkled with chopped mint.
We immediately made a dinner reservation for later on in the month.
Food was great, service was quick. Only downside we would say is the atmosphere is very noisy and a lot of people standing around, almost felt as though there was too much staff? But overall experience and food was good 👏🏻 Especially the pork belly and dessert.
Incredibly delicious food, perfect for sharing. We had all the veggie options plus a fish and pork dish, everything was superb. Service was also fantastic, everyone was so friendly. I'd love to come back again soon
Great place. Great chef. If you want to eat good and tasty food, this is the place to go. Server's are fast, attentive, and knowledgeable. Food is fresh and rich. Portions are just right. Standart never goes down. Highly recommended.
As everyone else says, the aubergine and labneh are a must. Adding apricots was truly genius. I loved the sea bass (I think) ceviche too. The sardines were fine but if you are trying to branch out and be adventurous by getting bone in fish and you are concerned you might not like it, maybe don’t. It was good and I ate it but I would have enjoyed something else more. Obviously that is to do with me, so does not affect my rating but they are whole fish and I am a food panty 😂. The food was fast and service was good with friendly staff, especially Omar who was on the bar which is a good place to sit if there are two of you. Good vibes and I would return/recommend it to friends.
I consider Morito a Hackney institution of some sort. The food is always 5 star and I love the vibe 100%. Usually you may need about 2 tapas per person, the wine selection is really good too. It is a quite popular spot so for bigger reservations I suggest using their website / checking options in advance.
My favourite one is the lamb chops but have tried also a quite variety of fish dishes here that are divine.
Beyond our expectations and delicious. Love the bread!!! It was very delicious. Highly recommend the fried aubergines with goat cheese. The check peas one was good too. We were 4 people shared and no drinks, £19/pp. quite a fair price. Would like to try its brunch menu next time!
Really good food. The egg plants were great. Sardines are amazing . Everything was good. Pedron peppers were spicy .. unexpectedly.
The services are wonderful.
Some food are a bit too salty, but overall acceptable. The seats are quite close, not spacious even for ordinary people.
12.50% service charge was ~ unexpected, that should be *bolded* at the bottom of the menu list.

Good Quality Spanish, North African and Mediterranean food! Unique and delightful blend of flavours. In other words YUMMY! Lovely atmosphere. A restaurant GEM in Hackney. In fact a friend who lives in the area recommend this place to eat and I took his advice and went here with 2 other friends and my 2 babies - who subsequently loved it too! It was amazing!! Family friendly too, I had a double buggy but was able to be seated. I went here during my maternity leave. We will definitely return for eats in the near future. Friendly staff too! Oh and not forgetting the unique receipt feature that certainly impressed me! If you know, you know! Highly recommend
This place likely needs no introduction, being part of the London restaurant scene so long it may as well be part of the furniture.
A very popular spot, the place is always busy, but they provide ac wonderful stay off plates and have a great wine list which will keep even the most discerning client happy.
For a decent, casual, if not cheap meal. Morito is definitely worth a visit.
I had brunch with a friend for the first time here and we had a really good time. Very nice and relaxed atmosphere - can get noisy if the place is full as tables are quite close to each other.
Dishes were really good - we chose 4 (3 veggie and 1 meaty) and it was enough for 2 foodies 🤗
Definitely try the fried aubergine - it's out of this world!! 🤤🤤 thanks to the guy serving our table for recommending it!!
The Greek wines and sumac margarita were great. The boquerones and lamb chops were amazing. The Cretan sausage and fried aubergine were very good. The broccoli salad was mushy and under-seasoned, there was no balance of flavours and we didn't eat it. The chocolate mousse wasn't a mousse, it was more like hardened ganache. Really stiff, not at all light and airy. Everything was quite overpriced considering they were small sharing plates. The waitresses weren't particularly friendly, frankly they seemed tired. The atmosphere was quite nice, though some of the tables were too close. Overall, I enjoyed it, but for the price I would expect better service and every dish to be perfect.
Really enjoyed the food here - went for the first time in 2019, and returned again this week. Was very pleased to see that the menu and food is just as good, if not improved since last time. The staff seated us despite us not having a booking, and we were lucky to get the last available table!
Really nicely looked food, and generous portions - the fried aubergine was particular highlight for me.
Will be coming back again next time I'm over in Hackney.
Restaurant was full, service felt unrushed and friendly. Eye wateringly expensive, Yes the quality is good and it's tapas, but it all felt a little overpriced for what it was - a gourmet hamburger in a pub being a good comparison in terms of value. The restaurant was also quite cold by the windows- one of us put the jacket back on to stay warm.
The hours of the restaurant haven’t updated to reflect their brunch hours on weekends.
What a lovely spot! I can’t wait to try their lunch menu. Imagine Spanish tapas with a Turkish twist. Lovely interior design, too. Featured in my video you’ll see the eggs with truffle and pan con tomate, so simple but packed with flavour.
Been to Morito way too many times in Exmouth market but this was my first time at this location. The menu was different. It was my lucky day- all vegan Day. The pilaf was delishhhhh!
