Makan Restaurant - London - Photo album

My family and I loved the nasi campur and the teh tarik (less sweet) very much - I ordered a second glass myself. Delicious Malaysian food is just what we needed after a few days away from home. It is halal of course☺️
Authentic family run place. Great asian dish variety, fresh and fast service. Tasty, great price - sorted with a £10. Take away option, possible to mix/customise. Chicken and rice dishes consistently tasty.
Super casual, canteen-style Malaysian food. Good vibes all around, and very quick service. Ordered the Chicken Mee Goreng and was impressed by the quality of the meat. Good spot on Portobello Road for a chilled out lunch.
The food here is really nice. You can choose multiple type of hot dishes with rice, fried style food, roti canai, malaysian dessert and also traditional malaysian drinks. They serve authentic malaysian cuisine. They also offer vegetarian options. The service here is efficient and the owner is really
Great tasty food. Meal sets are about £10 each. Our bill was £60 overall. Decent selection and states pretty authentic. Didn’t give it 5* as I’m a poor northern monkey who also lived in Asia and thought it would have been cheaper but this is central London.
I can't fault it, fast service, delicious buffet style food you choose what you want it's heated up you pay and sit wherever is available.
Easy, simple, yet a delicious discovery. I’ll be short and just do a review summary. It’s a cafeteria style place, big, chilled, with loads of space. Order at the counter, to stay in or take away. Menu is varied, just look at the wall, choose and say. We went and it was busy, well it was a Saturday
Was surprised to see this place empty! Absolutely delicious food, I ordered the chicken satay sticks with white rice, it came with peanut sauce and a salad on the side. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite, finish my plate! 10/10
Wanted to stop by for nasi lemak but ended up eating nasi campur because of their type of dishes that day. The sambal brinjal/ aubergines was delicious. Definitely worth the stop and had our fills as we spent walking up and down the streets at Portobello markets.
Lovely, fresh food Alhamdulillah! Savoured the flavours from the Seafood laksa 👍🏾
Delicious, fast, and friendly. Char Kway Teow is really flavorful without being too salty and is evenly mixed with egg, scallops and shrimps, and vegetables. My friend’s chicken satay is also very tender. The food in the counter also looks good, though slightly too oily. A bit pricy for the stree
Been there many times, usually get the Laksa curry which is amazing, but all the food is delicious. Wonderful atmosphere, lovely service and, on top of all that, not expensive at all. A perfect little restaurant.
Excellent food, excellent service, plenty of authentic Malaysian food, those who want to have a taste of Malaysian food can always come here. Those who crave for masakan kampung, this is your destination for it..!!!
It was really nice! Me and my two years old daughter went in for lunch. She’s got dairy allergies. So roti Canai was a go to option. Everything was halal. The staff was very kind!
Makans has been my favourite Malaysian restaurant in West for 2 years straight! They have vegetarian options available, and they're just as lovely as a piece of heaven.
