All in, I’d recommend the place and I’d like to try the evening menu which looks slightly more ambitious.

It was a colleagues leaving lunch last week. Hidden in between the residential streets and shops of Brook Green, Hammersmith and Shepards Bush Road is an unsuspecting gastro pub. We headed there for a spot of lunch. My mouth watered as soon as I saw the lamb steak on the menu, I couldn’t wait for it to arrive.

To be sure these are not luxury ingredients, but there was barely a technical error to be seen in my meal tonight, something that I could wish for in plenty of grander and pricier restaurants.

It was a colleagues leaving lunch last week. Hidden in between the residential streets and shops of Brook Green, Hammersmith and Shepards Bush Road is an unsuspecting gastro pub. We headed there for a spot of lunch.

We stepped inside the modern looking pub, greeted with large wooden tables, freshly baked bread on their counter top. The cucumber water tank is free for all the customers to drink up. Taking over the corner of the pub we eagerly looked at the menu. My colleague boasts how the menu changes twice-daily using local sourced fresh ingredients. The lunch menu was impressive, simple dishes yet imaginative flavour combination. Having a great selection for fussy eaters ranging from seafood to meaty meals.

My mouth watered as soon as I saw the lamb steak on the menu, I couldn’t wait for it to arrive. Most of the mains are reasonably priced from £12 onwards. The food did take a while to come as everything is cooked to order.
As soon as my main arrived my eye widen and fixated to the mammoth piece of leg lamb beneath my eyes. Stamped with chargrilled marks, and small rocks of ground pepper the juices still bubbling away. The juices burst like a pipe as you cut into the meat; the dollop of mint yoghurt was the perfect dip from chewing through the perfectly flavoursome tender leg of lamb. Underneath awaits a bed of super tangy tomato sauce, aubergines and fluffy cous cous. The sauce itself was a lovely rich flavour and the cous cous soaked it well.

There was a lot of ooh and aah, yummy echoing in the room. A brilliant meal and I wouldn't hesitate to go back again. For a fantastic meal for under £20 you can’t go wrong.

A perfect pub experience on our arrival day in London! Great service, great food and great beer! We had the battered haddock with thick chips, smashed peas and a delicious tartare sauce for £ 17.50 and oven-baked vegetables (courgette and aubergine) plus seaweed on fregola pasta for £ 16.50 - DIVINE 👍👍👍! Not too pricey at all if you consider the big plates and the high quality of the food in such a lovely atmosphere. Thank you, Havelock staff! 😊

Today I revisited the Havelock Tavern in masbrough Road Brooke Green W14 , for a truly excellent Sunday lunch of rose lamb with all the trimmings including Yorkshire puddings homemade roast potatoes vegetables gravy etc The chefs are amazing and cook excellent dishes but I think they're sandy roast is probably one of the best in the area or that you could probably get anywhere and there is a choice of beef lamb chicken and pork on rotation and when in season. Not only is the food staffer absolutely professional and friendly under the direction of Rob and his superb team. The pub has an outside garden area which also can be heated up on cold evenings and s also children family and dog friendly. Definitely the best pub and restaurant around and definitely the best Sunday lunch around the area and beyond... Excellent pub and a great place to eat and drink with a imaginative and changing menu you and I highly recommend the great tasting Sunday roast which can consist of roast pork belly , beef , lamb , vegetarian and chicken , all a accidentally cooked and throat with roast potatoes vegetables and I'll course Yorkshire pudding and homemade gravy and sauces . The Havelock also has a good range of starters other main courses including a fabulous burger and probably the best fish and chips in London . That is a good range of homemade desserts on offer and everything is a very reasonable price in very clean surroundings with excellent friendly professional management and staff. The pub also has a very well kept garden which is suitable for summer or winter dining and tables outside the main entrance . Children and dogs are also welcome and the place has a good atmosphere and is very friendly with plenty of local customers and customers from a far and overseas . Basically I love this place .

This is the best pub in the area by a country mile. Great for group hangs. Perfect for a quiet pint. And the food is excellent. The burger is second to none. Try the flame grilled prawns - you won’t regret it! Enjoy, pub lovers!!

The Havelock Tavern on Irving Road, nestled between Brook Green (Hammersmith) and Shepherd's Bush. A mighty fine Inn I may say! Bedecked with brilliant blue tiles on the outside and a stripped shabby chic interior. Fine beers on keg and in the cask TTs Landlord being changed on my visit but still a couple of good session ales available. A pint of cold Spanish lager for me, went down well. A most pleasant, jolly place with great atmosphere. I suspect a lot of work has been done to make this feel like your own home. Loving. A most enjoyable visit, highly recommended.

So lucky and relieved that this is my new local pub. Having lived in East London for the past 5 years just moved into Brook Green and The Havelock has been a refuge of great food, very relaxing atmosphere and fantastic beer selection. Service is not only efficient and competent but just kind. It is the kind of place where you want to hang out on a weekend. Great outdoors space too and best chips in town hands down. Very dog friendly which is just another plus.

Lovely neighborhood pub in shepherds Bush. Excellent Sunday roasts. Choice of beef, chicken, pork belly and vegan Wellington. They also serve burgers and other choices on Sunday for those who do not wish to have a Sunday roast. Good selection of beers, dogs allowed and staff very friendly. Child friendly as well. Strongly recommend. Book in advance.

Beautiful tavern with great food and many drink options! The staff is very nice and attentive and the food was tasty and was quickly served. Unfortunately there are not many vegetarian choices but the starters and side dishes are generously portioned. Definitely recommend!

Came for dinner and drinks after work on a Thursday. It was surprisingly quiet for a pub this good. Has seating outside and in. Both of us enjoyed a full three course meal with us a testament to the quality of the food. The highlight was the bone marrow on sourdough, simply delicious. Decent drinks selection and attentive staff.

Perfect pub for a leisurely solo lunch. Fabulous posh fish and chips. They have their own Best Bitter, which was exceptional! It was quiet, so hard to judge the atmosphere, but it felt like it would be great.

Perfect pub. Food delicious. Look, I've worked in pubs in London for 3 years and visited lots of them, but believe me, this is the best food I've ever eaten in pubs in London. I highly recommend and will definitely come back soon.

Delicious food, great service! We’re very lucky to have as our local pub. Nothing to say about the food. We had sticky toffee pudding for dessert but no time for pictures 😂 recommend 100%

My, oh, my! This is what a gastropub should be! The venue is lovely with a very quiet and shaded garden. The food is excellent and well presented: we particularly liked the social crab and the curry The service was excellent. Our waiter was very professional, kind and has such a vivid way to describe the dishes you could taste them just listening to him.
