We had lunch in their today in the private room on the ground floor. This is proper Italian food. The minestrone soup for starter was a meal in itself - perfectly seasoned and textured. The sauce on the ravioli was to die for! It was so good I gave it to everyone to try and they loved it. And as for the profiteroles - what can I say. Chocolate heaven.

This lovely restaurant is truly a gem, beautiful authentic food and wonderful staff who cannot do enough, especially the 2 male waiting staff who served us tonight. I really recommend the Spaghetti Bolognese, Sea Food Risotto and the Homemade Tiramisu! Truly really tasty dishes, which are very reasonably priced. The restaurant is quite traditional but in great condition, toilet facilities very clean and our table was spotless. The only downside is that the drinks are slightly pricey but I wouldn't expect any less for Covent Garden. My partner and I had a wonderful time and will be back for sure. Thank you La Ballerina.

Covent Garden Gem. I loved this restaurant. It gave us the full package- great food, brilliant service and all at a reasonable price. I have only been there once with my partner, but would gladly return with a larger party for a fun night out with some authentic Italian food. Keep up the good work La Ballerina!

La Ballerina Bellissimo!. This place is just great - every time I have been here I have received nothing short of FANTASTIC food and service. I can only recommend that if you are in the area or watching the Opera that you absolutely must check this place out. I have been more than once and they really have impressed me! Anyway, I hope anyone else has the same experience as I did. A true Italian gem - thanks to La Ballerina staff

I really love the service over here. The staff made us feel really welcome sharing personal experiences. Also the food is amazing. I personally like mussels and my husband he liked the pepperoni pizza. Loved the outdoor seating in this beautiful weather. Thank you and will definitely recommend this place to everyone. Thank you.

We had the pollo crema.similar to chicken alfredo, meat lasagna, and pepperoni pizza. We are from Arizona and this was delicious, service was good and we sat outside and loved it. We did not have reservations and were sat right away.

Wonderful staff, welcoming, couldn’t do more for you. Nestled between big companies of pizza express and zizzi, but this wins hands down for Italian food!

We stumbled across this restaurant after a long, long walk in town, and we were very happy that we stopped for lunch here! Firstly, the lady who greeted us was charming and thoughtful. We were very kindly allowed to sit outside with our pooch, and without prompting, the lady brought some water out for him. She continued to be very attentive throughout the meal with a really genuine smile. In fact, all the staff we interacted with were great! But I should also mention the food! The risotto and lasagne were delicious, and we thought very well priced. I really couldn't fault this restaurant, especially considering it's in a really touristy area. Would come again.

Amazing traditional family Italian restaurant. Food is as delicious, fresh (and quick) and the staff were friendly and attentive. Better than the chain next door. Perfect for pre theatre dinner or grabbing fresh, reasonable dinner when out and about.

This is one of those lovely restaurants that I want to praise but don't want to tell anyone about it, in case it gets overwhelmed ! But here goes. The moment you arrive, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming (the manager remembered us from previous visit, 6 months ago!). Great location by the Royal Opera House, but it's a haven of good food and peace and quiet. Go for the grilled lamb cutlets .... gorgeous and plentiful, so doggy bag was engaged!!!! We usually seem to get a table with ease, but it's advisable to book.

I have been coming here for years. A lovely restaurant with a family feel. The food is Italian and an extensive menu of home cooked authentic dishes. Usually you have to book in advance to secure tables although at the moment it's possible to walk up. Recommend the minestrone soup and the pasta dishes. The deserts are all lovely and the prices for London are excellent. A must visit if in the Covent Garden area and you want good food for a good price

Browsing Covent Garden, without having thought of booking a restaurant, we just turned up to many doors before this restaurant, but all fully booked, and La Ballerina luckily had a table for us! Nice atmosphere, and very well located at the heart of London West End. Staff was friendly, and although the table was a bit too close to the others, it was not too bad, it is Covent Garden after all! :) Menu choices were not extensive, and not many options for vegetarians, but we found a few, and you can ask, e.g. to not add the ham/bacon, etc to a certain dish. It is what we did, carbonara without the ham/bacon. I'd give 5 stars had it not been for some of the food, which was not great. My veal was a little chewy, having ordered veal many times before, I know it can be absolutely soft and dissolving in your mouth. Also, my potatoes and broccoli looked good, but tasted not crispy or al dente, a taste of a little aged, potatoes mushy. I know it is not easy to manage the flow of so many guests, in a central place like this, but I half expected, when you spend this type of £40ish per person on a meal, that you'd get a more gourmet food. The veal sauce was a delight, and my friend tells me her carbonara without the ham, also great! And the banoffee pie as pudding was dreamy, wonderful! So a good restaurant, that has room for improvement! ^_^

Lovely, cosy atmosphere. A family owned Italian amongst franchise restaurants, which has been running for 42 years. Loved the melon and prawn starter and very happy with my tiramisu. The owner was very personable and attentive. Marked 4 stars because my friend's pizza was a little dry around the edges. Would definitely go again

God never usually gives with both hands. Never before have I been greeted by such a friendly member of staff (Asma). I've worked in hospitality. It isn't easy but she made it seem like it is. The food came, best pizza I have had in London. Service couldn't have been better. She even moved a fan over to us because she noticed me shake my shirt. What a beautiful woman inside and out. Me and my mam have made a fond memory here before heading out to a gig. Thanks <3
