If you're looking to celebrate a special occasion then I highly recommend the Crown Tavern. We hired the upstairs Francis Baring room for a buffet lunch for my son's Christening. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the room is lovely. I cannot rate Alana highly enough. She helped us prepare thoroughly for the day and ensured everything ran smoothly on the day itself; nothing was too much trouble. Alex also served us fantastically in our own private bar. Our guests all had an enjoyable time. Thank you very much.

The food and service were exceptional. The price for such fine dining was also very competitive at £10 for a main course. The pub itself has been refurbished to a very high standard. I have visited on many occasions but never sampled the cuisine. Will definitely be back for more and highly recommend The Crown to all locals and passers by.

Young’s Brewery have reinvested the money from the sale of the Wandsworth brewery site into their pubs, with The Crown in the south London leafy suburb of Lee benefiting from a stylish refurbishment. It’s a large pub, with gardens to the front and rear, a restaurant to the rear, a separate bar and function room on the 1st floor, and a large bar to the front of the ground floor.

The Crown is an absolutely lovely local tavern in SE12 that is very spacious (outdoor and indoor seating) with a proper restaurant towards the back. The front portion is the bar itself with self seating and TV screens. The staff is also extremely welcoming and friendly. Also I had my very first proper English Sunday roast and it was divine! I absolutely devoured the dish. To be specific I ordered the Crown Trio roast and everything was cooked to perfection. Vegetarians and Vegans - there are options for you on the menu as well. My friends had the Ultimate plant burger and plant sausages. Overall 10/10!

Came here for late lunch after i picked up my daughter at work. Very nice place. Clean. Has outside front garden area. Has clean toilet facilities. Friendly staff as well. Loads selection of beers and ciders, whisky and cocktails. Food was very good though we waited. Possibly loads of customer orders and kitchen busy that time. Worth a visit when you are in the area. Parking area for customers. Recommended.

Food & Drinks: 4.5/5* - We tried the Camembert Sharer, which was just enough casomorphin peptides to satisfy any cheese junky. This was washed down with an aperol spritz, which was very refreshing. The mains chosen were the bavette steak and lamb and wild garlic sausages. Both dishes were cooked and presented very well and to accompany these two passion fruit, Spritz's delicious, if I may say so myself 😋. And the piece de resistance : The blackforest brownie... if you love chocolate decadence, this is for you with just enough chocolate and cherries to keep the balance enjoyable ❤️. Service: 4/5* - Superb service slight delay with drinks, but this was to be expected as there was a party of 60 upstairs. Atmosphere - 4/5* We were seated in a cosy booth, which had the perfect level of ambient background noise, but conversation across the table was still audible without raising our voices. *OVERALL* Top notch Grub in lovely pub settings can't wait to re visit during Summer 😍

Came in specifically for the Monday roast (bank holiday roasts - great idea!!). First of all, what a cute little pub?? Great setting and lovely front garden. Starter (forgot to take a pic, was hungry): I had the lamb croquettes and they were better than the ones I had at another Young's pub. No potato filler and just pure meat! Roast: I got the Crown Trio because I couldnt choose one meat (no lamb in this). The meat was PERFECT. Pork belly was super soft and the crackling was addictive. Beef was a LARGE slab and pink in the middle and the chicken pulled off the bone. The veggies were great. As for the rest, I dont get yorkshire puddings generally anyway so I gave that to a friend and I personally believe I make the best roast potatoes so none can compete but these were soft in the middle. Also the crown trio is great for the price you get it at (£22) and there is a LOT on that plate. We were wondering about the gravy after reading reviews of it being too thin so some of us requested it be thicker which is more our taste, if you don't ask, you dont get! And what we got was homestyle perfection 🤌🏽 Compliments to the chef(s) 🤌🏽👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

I’ve been visiting from America for the past few weeks and this is the 4th time I’ve had Pie and Mash but the first time I was offered vinegar with it. I would’ve never thought to put vinegar on pie and mash but Steve was very kind to explain to me that that (along with the rectangular shaped pie) is the more traditional way of eating it. It was delicious! The staff were all incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was very cozy. So much so that I went 2 nights in a row. I only wish I had discovered this place sooner so I could’ve gone more while here!

We had a meeting here, with lunch and tea/coffee. The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff were brilliant. They went out of their way to cater to dietary restrictions. Great attention to detail, and made a big contribution to the success of the meeting.

This is a post lockdown review. Went for dinner on 3-Aug with wife and son. Food was well prepared, nicely presented and tasty; the staff were extremely pleased to see us. The pub has good social distancing rules so no problem with hygiene. Still a little bit empty and staffing levels are low but it looks like a recovering business.

The building looks fairly recently decorated and looks great. Staff were friendly and the starters were amazing. The roast was alright. Due to the open nature of the kitchen we could unfortunately hear staff arguing at certain points during the meal I would argue with their description of "proper gravy" on the menu though as to me that means a very thick gravy rather than what we got (see photo)

Had the privilege of using The Crown Tavern for a Wake at my late brother's funeral. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond, even assisting with setting up my presentation. The food was top-notch and the atmosphere was truly comforting. Highly recommended.

We went for a friend's birthday and they had booked out the entire back section. We were in a group of about 15 adults and 10 children. The children played outside and we could sit comfortably and have lunch. I heard it is great for Sunday roast.

Lovely, friendly pub. Really nice food & friendly service, although you have to order through the app, which was a bit of a pain, (much prefer table orders being taken). However, really enjoyable garden with heaters.
