Take the double cheese burger. It's the right amount of melting cheese and RARE juicy meat. The flavour is not overpowered by extras (don't fall into the bacon/blue cheese trap). I can confidently say this is the best burger I have tried. There are many claims of the "best burger", this one by far outdoes any other "best burger" you'll ever try.
Have the angry fries as a side, for that dose of blue cheese and buffalo sauce - they are amazing
The best burger we have ever eaten!!!!!!! We come all the way from Chicago to London for vacation and from now on will stop here every time. Price is good, 6$ for a bacon burger, and the frys are a killer. We couldn't stop eating them! Thanks guys!
Best burger I have ever eaten. What they do to your taste buds with their food is like switching to 4K tv for the first time. Other food is great but their food is on another level. Just incredible, amazing food at reasonable prices and super fast service.
So fatty, so juicy, so tasty, so good. The Bleecker Burger ist absolutely the perfect burger, I have never eaten such a good burger before. The Angry Fries are unbelievable delicious!
For someone that has tried a lot of Burgers, this is without a doubt the best burger I've ever tasted.
We'll recommended by a friend so thanks Terence Witten for the tip!
This is THE Best burger I've ever had, and I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to burgers. Just so much taste to them, so much care given to the meat. I love going to London but I can't get there each time I desire it. However, each and every time I do go I make damn sure I have a Bleecker Black. It's now where I take my dates. Thank you.
This is the best, filthy, dripping with fat & flavour burger I have ever had. If you want to clog your coronary arteries, this is the most pleasurable way to do it. Double cheeseburger = out of body spiritual experience. Bloody good chippies too
Literally the best burger I have ever eaten!
Had a bacon cheeseburger and it was delicious! Crispy bacon, gooey cheese and gristle free burger We're going back soon! Loved the market too!
The best burger that I have ever tasted in my life, bar none. 2016 was saved by the announcement of Bleecker Victoria.
The best burger in town at the moment, for sure. They don't complicate burgers with myriad ingredients, keeping things simple and tasty. Service is quick and pleasant. Recommended!
If you are looking for some amazing burgers do visit here. Absolutely love the sweet potato fries and the bacon cheeseburger
They didn't have the Bleeker black which was the one I was really looking forward to try, so I settled for the bacon double cheese burger which was incredibly delicious. I tried the mix fries which were also alright and a perfect way to settle the meal.
When this place first opened, everyone was talking about that Bleeker street burger! I finally decided to give it a try and it was delicious and so moist and soft! The fries were also really good. Definitely dont make plans after youve had one of those! I would definitely do it again on a hungover sunday!
In search of best burger I landed here and decided to go with blue burger it was amazing experience.staff service is very good.ambiance is very good.
P.s shake is good but can be improved...
This place is awesome and food is good we order double cheese burger fries and drink everything is perfect so yummy
A must try place go atleast once
These burgers are always delicious and will definitely satisfy your hunger. The bacon double cheeseburger was our favourite. Make sure you try the house and angry fries Great meal for #datenight. Follow us and get more great datenight ideas #moodiefoodies #foodies
This place is really good and ambience is too. We ordered double cheese burger, fries and vanilla shake and everything was good. A must try place.
It took me a little bit of time before I got my dirty paws on a Bleecker burger, often regarded as one of London’s best burgers around. And I concur. The burgers are massively juicy and some of the best, most satisfying meat patties I’ve had. It rounds off as one of the more sloppy bun and patty combos, but it’s well worth your moolah.
One of the best burger places I have tried. We are talking about juicy, fatty meat with alot of flavour. The whole experience from walking in the market to ordering the burgers and sitting enjoying gazing at the people and the market in front of you is totally worth it.
A recent trip to London saw us trying to tick as many places off our ‘must-eat/must-drink’ list as we could in 30 hours. . All our lunch and dinner slots were already full when we were recommended Bleecker as “the best burger in London”. Our dilemma was solved by a quick Google; their speciality is the Bleecker Black burger, a double cheeseburger with beef black pudding. Black pudding is clearly a breakfast item, giving us a perfect excuse to squeeze in a trip to Bleecker for the most important meal of the day. We later found out that the Bleecker Black is temporarily unavailable (a situation described by Twitter users as “drastic” and “worse than Brexit”) but we’d already justified it to ourselves, so sod it. Burgers for breakfast it was.
"When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life" - I'm sure that's how the saying goes, right? I've lived in London for pretty much my whole life and there are still SO many places I've never seen or explored. . London is such a melting pot of different cultures, food and influences and every single borough has something unique to offer. I love that Camden Town is completely different to Westminister, which is SO different to Shoreditch or Mayfair - and all these places are in walking distance to each other.
Burgers are my favourite,Bleecker St.Burger made my day❤️ The Burger were well cooked.... they were chewy and the were delicious❤️ Try Them Out for sure....!
I had heard so many times places described with many slang phases. It’s da bomb, dat hits the spot and my personal favourite, its the bee’s knees. I always did wonder, did bees really have knees? Have you ever held one down to check? I would think not so unless you are immune to stings.
OK , so I’ve been back in London for a week now and nicely going through my LONDON top burger list to make sure its still accurate , today i went to pay a visit to the legendary BLEECKER STREET 🍔 and of course the Bleecker Black burger is my choice, wich is a double beef patty (rare) with black pudding in between , this one is in my top 5 so was pretty excited to have it again …
Best. Burger. Ever. Hands down to my new favourite burger in the city. Love the meat (very juicy, tasty, soft and raw at the same time), the pouring oil and melting cheese, and the surprisingly amazing black pudding. Bleecker won my heart.
It's been a bit of a burger journey since my last stay in London. After the craze of MEATliquor and the final hurrah at Tommi's, my new favourite moved to a more gourmet and healthy Brodburger (. But after the first London meal being Needoo (how could I resist), the first new place I ended up in was Bleecker St. Burger. Spitalfields market has changed since 2013 with much of the trinket and wares stalls being replaced by a much more financial model in gourmet street food. On this Tuesday at 1:30pm the place was still busy with people queueing and seated randomly at tables having lunch. They've done well for themselves these financially-intelligent Spitalfieldians.
Best burger I have had in London by a long way. Have had the double cheese burger, but the bleecker black takes first place. Still quite expensive, but definitely worth it.
Best burger I ever tasted. Always order it with the cooking temperature they recommend. Really juicy and very tasty. You can taste the real beef taste. I definitely miss.
My favourite place in London. The best burger in town. They also know how to make fried potatoes. Everything is best but my suggestion is Bleecker Black. Enjoy!
Hands down my favorite burger in London. Perfectly pink beef, sesame seed bun, old school cheddar, and that black pudding. Oh boy that black pudding. Whoever came up with that is insane. The burger itself is so salty, so greasy, and so overwhelming. It absolutely shouldn't work. But it pulls it off in spades. I can't help but wonder if a tomato, a pickle, an onion...something to cut through all that fat and grease would improve upon it. I'm more than happy to indulge in this fest of fat even if veg isn't invited.
One of the best burgers in London but not quite the best. The double cheeseburger is superb - the cheese is a beautiful melted goo that really cuts through and the patty is great beef, and beautifully cooked. My only issue? They're consistently oily/greesy in a way that I don't really find pleasant. For that reason, Dirty burger is still number one for me.
Had bleecker black on the national burger day. Two patties with black pudding in between is a great idea. It tastes absolutely amazing. Would definitely go back when next time I'm craving for burgers
The burgers are one of the best in London! I have to say Spitalfields branch is far better. They know how to cook beef perfectly. Its tender and juicy.
I definitely recommend Double Cheeseburger or Bleecker Black with mixed fries.
Some really amazing American style burgers found here that are a must try. No options for chicken eaters.
Halal- no
Recommendation- cheeseburger
It all started from a tasty burger in New York. After moving to London, the founder of Bleecker St. Burger, decided to leave his previous career, bought a van and has been serving Londoners with his New York inspiration ever since. Bleecker Street is his favourite street in Manhattan and he dedicated the name of his food truck to this street.
When I searched around for the best burgers to try in London, the answer was unanimously Bleecker St. Burger. With a handful of branches spread around the city, it was very convenient to drop by for some dinner after a full day of sightseeing, although finding this particular store within the Old Spitalfields Market did prove to be challenging. The menu is small but full of the classics – burgers, fries and milkshakes, all cooked and served in true New York fashion. It was difficult to pick just a few, but we ended up ordering some of the most popular items from the menu to try.
The burger trend has been around for quite some time in London and everywhere else. When I returned back to London last year (2015) I heard great things about Bleecker St. Burger and it was near to me. A little shop at Spitalfield market that cannot be missed while shopping at Spitalfield. It did not disappoint and it made me return for more.
The best burguer in town, according to Timeout.
Located in an unassuming little place in Spitafields Market it doesn't promisse much.
But it delivers, almost 100%.
The patty itself is very good. You can see that the meat is of very high quality, and you can taste it as well.
Astonishingly it tastes like actual, real, properly raised beef.
The burguer as a whole (with bun and filling included) is very good. Simple, but packed with a lot of clean flavours.
I don't know if it is actually the best one in the city but it's probably up there on the top.
The one thing that kind of let me down was the size of the thing. It's too smal. 4 bites and you're over.
This is kinda of compensated by the generous amount of fries they give you but even so, at least a 15% increase in the burguer size would be great.
Either way, I really liked it and would definitely recomend it.
Last weekend’s lovely weather was clearly a sign to go out and explore some more of London. Plus we were on a bit of a burger mission. And Bleecker St. Burger was our target.
Bleecker St. offers a no-nonsense short burger menu, plus fries, sweet potato fries and a couple of shakes.
The bacon cheeseburger is everything a good, basic burger should be.
Excellent, rich, cooked to perfection beef patty, crispy fried bacon, melted American cheese. Done.
The Bleecker Black is even better.
Two just seared signature beef patties, with umami black pudding, melted cheese and a sweet onion garnish to balance it all off. Very, very naughty but so, so good.
I'm going to start out this blog by saying something controversial: I know there are probably a gajillion places that one can get a burger in London, but Bleecker St. Burger is the best. This isn't just my opinion, it's my fact-pinion. Bleecker St. Burger started out as a food truck (as many burger places in London do). They were so popular and successful that Zan Kaufman (the founder) opened up a permanent stand in Old Spitalfields Market. I was excited when this happened because it meant I could go get the best burger in London anytime. I didn't have to wait until it was a nice summer day at Southbank or have to wait in a massive queue at Kerb. It was amazing news. I was first introduced to them at Southbank, and after that, I just wanted to have more and more. Now I can. (And so can you!)
While enjoying the recent craft beer market in Spitalfields I noticed a place I'd put on my list before leaving Melbourne was right where I was. And I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity.
B and I ordered the same thing, the bacon cheeseburger (w/ American cheese, onion, bacon and sauce). We shared a fries as always and sat down to eat.
And what a great burger it is. Juicy, cooked medium which is perfect, lots of oil though not so it's running everywhere. Plenty of cheese menting throughout it and the bacon was tasty too. The bun was a little overdone but on the whole no complaints from either of us.
The chips were delicious too, really crispy with real potato skin still on them. Highly rated.
If I'm back in the area, I will visit again.
It was awarded Tastiest Burger in the World by Foodie Hub, but Bleecker Street founder Zan Kaufman took some convincing when business partner Liam O’Keefe – otherwise known as acclaimed burger blogger The Burger Addict – pitched the idea for a black pudding burger. A trained lawyer, Zan says her passion for burgers was ignited while working at a friend’s restaurant in New York: “While I was at Zaitzeff I really fell in love with burgers, which was strange because you think it’s all Americans eat, but they had always seemed like a waste of time to me. But then I had this burger, and it opened up not only my burger world but my whole food world. It was the mother who was basically running the place, and what I learnt from her was an utter commitment to the food. There was no compromising on any aspect, and that never really left me.”
I have been drooling over these burgers for so long and finally got to try one but being me, I picked the wrong one (I should have had the bleecker black) but alas, I had the cheeseburger. It was still pretty good. All the flavour but without being greasy like its dirty burger counterpart. Perfectly cooked meat, toasted buns and that cheese that tastes like America. Banging (but next time, I'm going to the black)
Safe to say the Bleecker Black is probably the best burger in London at the moment. How could it not be? Double beef patty, black pudding (!!!), cheese, onions and sauce, with just the right amount of each ingredient not to overpower the flavour of its fantastic beef patties. With all the current regulations in London this is one of the few places I've found where you can get your burger perfectly rare. Don't forget their angry fries, whoever decided to mix Buffalo sauce and blue cheese and put it over fries deserves an award.

This is in my opinion the best burger in London. Ignore any 'best burger in London' lists that don't have this on it. I think the parties contain slightly more fat than your usual burger and that's what makes them so good. The patty crumbles and mixes the cheese and sauce perfectly. My favourite burger to get is the Bleecker Black: black pudding sandwiched in-between 2 patties and cheese. I find the 'angry fries' with cheese and hot sauce a bit rich to go with the burger so always stick with regular fries myself. You'll probably pay around a tenner (slightly over) for a burger and fries.
Bloody brilliant bun bound beef! Probably the juiciest patty i have ever tasted. Had the double cheeseburger and got the double happy's. perfectly cooked and crafted
Nice burger and shake... just ordered the double cheese burger and vanilla milk shake... was nice... just didn't have that wow factor I am after at a place this hyped. Definitely would go back, just would do the 30 minute walk just to get there.
It's the best burger in London!!!!! First time last night and I will be coming back! I could have eaten more than one. So delicious and tasty, just as good as a burger in NYC.
The burgers here are delicious - the meat is minced relatively coarsely and is cooked medium by default, which is as it should be! The sesame bun and the fried bacon are both very good. The sauce that comes with the burgers is delicious too, and the fries (medium cut) are good too.
The one let down is that this is not more than a hole in the wall - some seating is available from the market, especially at weekends, but this is by no means a fancy eating experience.
The cheeseburger was tasty however the fries were a bit of a disappointment. The mixed fries I was served had burnt sweet potato fries which left a bitter taste in my mouth. I would go again for the burger but not sure about getting a side.

Strolling through Spitalfields Market and ignoring BSB is impossible, having tryed at different events their burger and angry fries and found them nice, I wanted to see if anything changed with getting a permanent spot. They are a bit lost in both dealing with the customers, orders lost and wrong ones, and preparing the food, the burger was goodish but the fries were so greasy and burnt that I had to throw them away. Looks like they got relaxed too much given the fame and don't know anymore how to handle a big crowd.
Exactly what a burger should be. I had the cheeseburger and angry fries - both of which I can highly recommend (although I am sure that everything on their menu is worth a try). I will definitely be back!
Great little burger joint, the meat is cooked well and attention is paid to the seasoning which is a bonus it is definitely worth a try...... However although they won best burger in the world this year 2015 I'm not sure it's quite there !!
Top tip - bleaker black burger with angry fries
This is without a doubt the best burger I've had in London to date ! The only pain was to find a table with free seats in Spitalfields market to enjoy the burgers.
Omg get the black pudding burger, its insanely rich but worth it if your not too fussy. Would not recommend eating it too often. The plain burger beats most in london by a mile.
London's finest. Don't take my word for it, just look at the internet which is completely saturated with people waxing lyrical over this burger. Why is it so good? It's all about the beef. Aged for 35 days (yes, as a quality steak would be) and a combination of chuck, short-rib and even bone marrow, it's no surprise it melts in your mouth. Those who go 'oh no that's too rare for a burger' fail to realise that meat of this quality is at its umami-rich best when cooked like this.
The rest of the burger (unless you get the Bleecker Black: a double cheeseburger with a glorious piece of black pudding sandwiched in between) is kept basic with American cheese and a toasted bun. If you like your burgers with embellishments, held elsewhere. Actually I take that back, still go to Bleecker and you'll realise that simplicity can be best.
FYI if Spitalfields is too far a trek for you, hit up their pop-up on the Southbank this summer under the arches. They serve the full menu, shakes included. Just make sure you order the Bleecker Black, even if you don't think your a black pudding fan it will change your mind.
Guys- just shut up and take my money! :D
Yep- they are worth the hype. Very seldom I give into the hype and it just makes me not want to visit a place BUT one bite of their burger... I can totally get why people are going crazy over their burgers. Perfectly toasted sesame buns and juicy well seasoned meat- simple kick ass recipe for success. Also mixed fries?? Why didn't anyone think of this before?? Now they're in Southbank too- you lucky, lucky people! ;)
There is only so much you can write about burgers. I did go to two different burgers joints in one week, in fact that week has been non stop eating out that I felt obnoxiously unhealthy. So much carbs and grease, it will not stop me eating burgers and on ward.
Like many restaurateurs/chefs/etc, it is their passion of food which brought them to where they are in the food world. It is no different to Zan Kaufman, a corporate laywer from New York City and with her love of burgers brought us Bleeck St. Burger. The life of Bleecker St. Burger started out as a food truck roaming around London with rave reviews until they settled for a permanent space in Old Spitalfields Market. The food truck still roamed around in London in various locations.
When looking at the menu, it's hard to resist not to order the Bleecker Black, a piece of black pudding sandwiched between two beef patties cooked medium rare. Oh man, I hate to admit it despite the seeded bun was a let down, it was super duper delicious. The black pudding may over flavoured the beef, but it's that black pudding flavour which makes this burger exquisite. So good so, Mr T stole rest of my burger even though himself had a double cheeseburger. The double cheeseburger was equally delicious, intense meaty flavour from beef dry aged about forty days. The burgers are slightly on the greasy side, who cares. The fries are good, with "angry fries" smothered in hot sauce and blue cheese. I didn't really like the taste of the hot sauce and it wasn't hot either but the blue cheese is nice. Mr T liked it, that mattered. In fact, he liked the black pudding a lot.
Bleecker St. does quality burgers, the Bleecker Black is a showstopper. That is all you need to order along with some fries. It may not be a restaurant, rather more of a hole-in-the-wall kitchen with few benches scattered around the market. I don't know how I will survive eating in the cold but it won't stop me coming back for more burgers.
Bleecker Burger, street food veterans and winners of London Burger Bash 2014, recently opened a burger hatch in Old Spitalfields Market. I say hatch rather than restaurant or diner, as it is literally a hole-in-the-wall kitchen with a few benches outside.
Is it any different to them parking their food truck behind a brick wall with a window? Not really, but who cares? Now we know where to go for a fix of angry fries and Bleecker meat every day of the week (from 11.30am-9pm).
The slightly bigger space allows them to produce some rather fine milkshakes (including Caravan coffee) which you might turn to after they stop serving craft beers at 7pm. But you are really here for a burger; an award-winning Bleeckerblack burger to be precise. Two medium-rare aged-beef patties, melted cheese, and a showstopping slab of black pudding, at your service. Sure, you could get a Bacon Cheeseburger, or the Blue Burger, both superb, but I wouldn't. What a burger.
What else? I can never say no to Sweet Potato Fries, but the Angry Fries with blue cheese and more than a bit of a kick put up quite a fight.
And that's all I need to say about that. Just be wary of the 9pm closing time.
There's nothing better than a pop-up that becomes permanent. From MeatLiquor to Senor Ceviche, when an idea gains momentum, good press and the all-important backing to set up shop and open bricks and mortar, you know you're onto a good thing.
Last year was unequivocally the year of the burger. Everywhere you looked, toasted brioche and pulled pork were making an appearance and things were getting a little stale but there was always one name that shone through the crowd. So much so that I can't believe it's taken me until now to finally check out Bleecker Street Burger. Starting life in a van, then at Street Feast and Hawker House, and now in its own small but perfectly formed stall in Spitalfields Market, Bleecker Street brings New York style patties to London's streets.
We headed down for a post-work bite in the week, overjoyed that we could comfortably sit on the benches outside without feeling like we were in the Arctic, and ready for some serious meat. It was too tempting to order the same thing but in the quest for best burgers, we had to sample more of the menu so I chose the Blue Burger which turned out to be a beautiful combination. A gloriously rare patty topped with melted blue cheese and lettuce all sandwiched in a non-brioche bun - the rich flavours of the protein melted in unison and the bun managed to resist a breakdown and hold itself together right til the very end. Bonus points to Bleecker.
But what really stole the show was the Bleecker Black. Two signature patties with cheese and the ultimate black pudding - a monumental achievement in burger brilliance that we quickly declared to be one of the best things we've ever put in our mouths. Coupled with the angry fries (crispy fries liberally doused with hot sauce) and a couple of cans of Brooklyn, we are now completely hooked.
I had high expectations following the hype but to have them surpassed is a really nice surprise. A definitive five out of five and many definite return visits on the cards.
I love Bleecker Burger, they are my favourite place for a burger. The beef is amazing, the staff are friendly and the beer is cold, tasty and compliments the burgers. The angry fries are my go to side (skin on fries covered with both hot and blue cheese sauces), but the standard, sweet potato and mixed fries are also good.
Unlike their van the Old Spittalfields Market kiosk also does milkshakes, the Black & White (Chocolate & Vanilla) is a style I hadn't had before, so I gave it a try on this visit and really liked it.
The burger patties are 4oz, so if you like your beef then I'd double up. The double cheeseburger is simple but in my view their best burger: two patties, American cheese, onion and burger sauce. The Bleecker Black is the burger that won them the London burger bash final in 2014. Again it's two patties with American cheese, but the black also has Clonakilty Blackpudding sandwiched in the middle. It's rich, tasty and now has a permanent spot on the menu.
If you haven't tried Bleecker then I'd check them out, they aren't about fancy toppings or gimmicks. It's all about the beef; it's well sourced and perfectly cooked by people who like good burgers.
Bleecker St burgers, despite being incredibly tasty and very good quality, are the size of a McDonalds burger. Which is kinda frustrating because they're so damn good you want more of them, only at £6 - £7 a pop you can't really afford to do that. Probably the tastiest disappointment I've had in a while.
The burger was cooked medium rare, juicy and essentially what you would expect from a well-followed burger van, However, the bun was a bit lacking and is an area that lets these guys down.
Not a restaurant but a burger van, Bleecker Street Burger moves around London during the week spreading its deliciousness across the capital. Bleecker Street Burger is a black van serving simple American ‘New York’ style greasy burgers. You have the options of the cheeseburger, the double cheeseburger and the blue cheeseburger, which is naturally served with blue cheese. On my latest lunchtime visit to Bleecker Street Burger, where it was parked on the ‘Kerb’ by Kings Cross St Pancras, I opted for the double cheeseburger with French fries. The double cheese burger is cooked
Bleecker also serve a tasty blue cheese burger and a veggie burger (although we’ve obviously never tried one of those). On our last visit, we were intrigued to see that they’ve now added a bacon cheeseburger to the menu too. Bacon generally improves most foods but it’s an opinion splitter when it comes to burgers. In this case though, the addition of strips of lovely, crispy streaky bacon worked very well indeed.

You can see the Bleecker St. Burger van parked over Southbank every weekend and its burgers have proven to be extremely popular and it is easy to understand why, once you get your hands on those mouthwatering burgers.
What is on offer: During the summer months Southbank was home to some some of the best street food vendors in London. New York style burgers, toasted buns, and even with a secret sauce, all this brought to you by an ex lawyer that while practising law in New York realised that burgers was the dream!
As a sort of comfort food double-bill with the excellent Sticky Wings , I thought I'd put down a few words on the equally excellent Bleecker Burger, veterans (I'm sure they won't mind me saying) of the streetfood scene, who are currently pitching up at Old Spitalfields Market from Wednesday to Sunday. You'd think after all these years of Burgers In London that there wouldn't be much more to say about the subject. After reading this post you may still think the same. But though we may very well have reached market saturation in many respects, there is equally no reason to ignore, or even loftily dismiss, anyone as accomplished, talented and committed as Bleecker Burgers just because they have a lot more competition these days. So I'm sorry if you're sick of hearing about burgers, but if that's the case a) you really have come to the wrong blog, and b) plenty of people haven't. Including me. So there. What we have here is the "Bleecker Black". Two medium-rare chunks of lovely, crumbly lo
A burger joint - any place for that matter - this highly lauded could fail to live up to the hype so easily. Anything less than perfect & disappointment's a much easier emotion to reach than satisfaction.
So it was with a ripe mixture of trepidation & excitement that I went here for my birthday lunch.
Tempted by the trademark Bleecker Black, I instead went for the classic Double Cheese. After all, I had to give myself a reason to go back. And I will return; my first bite saw to that.
The burger screams quality even before the first taste with the unmistakable aroma of dry-aged beef. From Nathan Mills at The Butchery, no less.
The bite was yielding but the meat packed with flavour and texture. The beefiness was to die for. It wasn't too big either, as some burgers can be when going for quantity over quality.
I had it with Angry Fries - fries slathered in a mix of hot sauce & blue cheese sauce - what a combo. The heat plays off the creamy pungency of the blue in a match made in heaven.
Sadly I couldn't have a milkshake as I was saving space for dinner. But even without,I fell in love with Bleecker just how all those folk said I would.

It's been a while since a burger has had the spotlight around here, but it's back with a bang.
Every foodie on & off line has been telling me to try Bleecker St. Burger, and it finally happened. People had told me that it tops Patty & Bun and most other London burger joints, so we both went with high expectations - and already knowing that what we wanted, which was their infamous Bleecker Black - a double patty with black pudding in the middle. Not for the faint-hearted!
Please can we take a moment to appreciate the Instagram-perfect cross-section view that they give you by cutting the burger before serving? All burger places should do this! #weirdbloggerrequests
They were as good as we'd hoped - fantastic flavour and perfectly executed. I loved the American cheese and the black pudding is a genius addition, although it does make the burger heavier than most... but as the Americans say (which is apt, since Bleeker St. Burger hails from NYC), go big or go home, right?
Alongside our beasts, we tried their Angry Fries (topped with chilli sauce & blue cheese) and their sweet potato fries. I wasn't particularly impressed by either, but they were nice enough. I definitely prefer the rosemary fries at Honest Burgers.
They have a permanent unit in Spitalfields Market now, which is where we went, but they do have a truck that sets up shop in various locations. You can see more details on their website.
Would I go back? Definitely - I'd love to try their bacon & cheese burger. Do I think it's the best burger I've ever tried? I'm not sure I'd go that far, but it's hovering near the top and it probably won't move any time soon.
For a long time I considered Patty & Bun's Smokey Robinson burger as the best burger in London... but this was before I went to Bleecker St in Spitafields market this Saturday. Patty & Bun is now ex aequo with the Black burger from Bleecker st. if not even better.
The Black Burger has two layers of beef with black pudding, cheese and onions in the middle. The beef is perfectly cooked and it is tasty and juicy. The bun is very good and moist = THE PERFECT BURGER !!!
Best burger in London!!!!! Bleecker Black is just perfect!
I was so happy when I heard back at the end of last year that they were going to quit the van and make a permanent site.
The wait until they finally opened seem to take forever, but I still managed to get my fix from the van during the wait.
I seriously recommend this place to any burger lover. You will NOT be disappointed.
Great bunch of guys too and they thoroughly deserve all the success they receive
So happy they have finally settled some where ;)
One of the best burgers, I used to chase their van now and then all around the city, but now we can finally enjoy a burger at their newly opened place.
Their fries are de-le-cio-ussss.
I highly recommend this place if you love burgers.
Bleecker - one of the most hyper burgers in London. They proudly displayed their ‘Best Burger 2023’ logo outside, and so the excitement for my first bite was palpable.
The reality was a little disappointing. Whilst certainly a good burger, it was nowhere near the best I’ve had. I got the blue, and my gf got the veggie burger which she loved. The blue burger was a little flat, and sad, whilst tasty, and the fries soggy and cold. The service at the restaurant too was pretty awful, and definitely not people who cared about the food or service. I would be willing to try it once more, but overall not massively impressed.
The bacon cheeseburger absolutely slaps. Warm, well toasted bun, perfect grease levels, medium rare patty, cheese, sauce and onion. No fuss dirty and delicious burger.
I got in before the rush and it was well worth it. Arguably the best burger in London
Very easy ordering process on tablets. Found it much easier than speaking to an attendant. It did take a little while to get our order however it was during peak hour. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger medium rare with house fries. The burger was well constructed, the meat done to perfection and a reasonable amount of sauce. Overall a delicious meal.
Bleeker! Is this the best London burger?
Firstly, set in Spitalfields market in the middle of a street food selection this small humble burger joint is easy to walk past. But that would be a mistake
Let's be clear this burger is different to another I've tried. 😋
The bun is super soft and delicate seeded with sesame. And is smaller than what I expected, but don't let that put you off.
All parts of this are cooked to perfection. The bacon is crispy and tasty, patties are juicy and slightly caramelised. The flavour is overall delicious and delicate. You have to try this to understand that!
Service is quick and very friendly.
Is this the best burger in London? Well, it's defiantly one of them
I decided to take a trip down to Spitalfields this afternoon as I heard about a Special burger that’ll be on the menu only until the end of the month. Bleecker Burger / Detroit pizza Collaboration we they did not fail to impress that’s for sure what a venue what a dish. But on the pricey side however probably the best burger in town by far..
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
High quality burger with decent sauces. A little salty for my palette but worthwhile if you’re in the neighborhood. 8/10 overall
I had read they had the best burgers in London, so I had to try them. The Bacon Double is super juicy and tasty, so it will be my go-to when going back. The House Fries are good, but not up to the burger itself. And the Black & White shake... well, it wasn’t for me without much flavour other than sweetness. I would go back for the burgers, yes.
It was worth the wait, the ordering and getting served was a bit chaotic but when I did receive the food it was worth it. The burger was amazing... Loved it
Inside Spitalfields Market. Order and pay on the terminal then collect. Uhh-maze-ing Bacon Double Cheeseburger (£13). (Fries were so-so, but sauce was good). Had a delightful Oreo Milkshake afterwards. RECOMMEND.
Great burger at a great price.
Paid £14.00 for a blue cheese burger and house angry fries, both of which were really good. The only thing I'd mention is that they were a touch on the salty side for my taste, but that's subjective.
Best burger in London? Not sure. Certainly up there for its price category though.
Give it a try!
Pretty slow, but they were very busy.
The burger loves up to the reputation and I'd definitely recommend anyone looking for a great burger to go and experience it themselves.

After visiting the Bleecker (double cheese with bacon), my career as a serious and unapologetic burger-eater across Germany, Spain and Greece came to an end/reached a conclusion/hanged up my blood test results.
The burgers are amazing (yes, had them all apart from the non-meat one as I do have my limits and dignity) and if the Bleecker had to be music, then we are talking for nothing less than the Ozzy Osborne or Taylor Shift of burgers.
And I am fully aware of the weight of that statement. Enjoy.
Little burger joint in the spiral fields good market. The burgers are incredibly juicy as they use great quality aged beef. Very nice sear on the steak. The burgers are made with bare minimum ingredients to really make the meat shine. Simple and delicious.
It's popularity cannot be underestimated judging by the people waiting for their order. Totally understandable, boom, that my friends is how a burger should taste, best burger I've had in a long time.
Service is quick and efficient, they let watch them grilling so there's no hiding place.
Lived up to its reputation what more can you say in this case.
Good but ok.
The bacon cheeseburger was very juicy and tasty indeed and the chips were good too.
The burger was a bit small
It's worth it to try it, there's nothing bad, but it didn't make me go back again soon
Bleecker Burgers are the best burgers.
Easy ordering at big touch screens, bit of a wait time, because they are that busy - your wait is rewarded with beautiful burgers.
Delicate soft squishy buns, some cheese and lettuce and a beautifully greasy, flavourful patty with crisp fried edges and juicy insides. It's perfection.
The fries are nothing to write home about, get two cheeseburgers and skip the fries.
Shakes are the perfect side.
