Lovely! Went for lunch, but I think dinner or a drink in the bar will be just as good. Delicious food, very good service, nice old building, and all that without digging deep in the wallet at all! You just have to go!
Uno dei posti più belli ed accoglienti di Londra. Pizza spettacolare e birra fantastica. Lo staff è eccezionale da vedere sicuramente
Decent beer. Nice food. Good value for money. Well worth a visit.
The service from the staff was exceptional, the food was spot on.
I don't come to London often but when I do again I will come again.
good prices considering the area its in,nice pub
Good service and finaly a big burger thats worthy called like that.
Great service, great beers in a very nice location
Beautiful breaky! Lovely staff!! Very well priced and service was friendly !!... Deffo coming back xxx
One of my favourite places to visit in London
had a perfect pint of doombar and my friend had a guiness both drink was served perfectly and poured well
bar tender was very funny and welcoming
came in for a drink while having a cat up with some friends ended up in the dining room for some dinner, waiter was very professional and knowledgeable about the menu, the steak and ale pie was delicious, will definitely come back soon
Came here for a pint and a bite to eat. Typical pub food, nothing to fancy but cooked well and tasty. Staff were friendly and made plenty of conversation. The pub is old, the staff told me it is listed so what you see is protected and prevents the pub being altered for the worst. Will be back for sure.
Lovely service from the Italian waitress who allowed us to practice our French on her, she commanded the entire room and had customers literally eating out of the palm of her hand.
The food, however, did not meet the same high level as the service.
They had run out of both the venison pie and the steak pie which is why we went, however I had the braised beef which came with mash and greens. Unfortunately the sauce was pretty oily, which let down the meal. My partner had the fish and chips with mushy peas which he was disappointed in.
Not the best food, however, a warm friendly atmosphere and great service.
Remember that in the uk 20% vat will be added to your bill afterwards, the menu prices do not include this.
The White Swan is a fantastic place to visit in London. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside and the atmosphere is great. I had a wonderful lunch at the restaurant and the staff were very accommodating. The place was definitely cleaner than most places in London. The food was also great however could have been better.
The food was beautiful and I could not say a bad word about it!
Service was very good but tailed off at the end. Our main course plates weren't cleared away, and we sat for a significant time. There was no offer of dessert or coffee either. However, we were a late seating, and the kitchen may have closed, but we wouldn't know because we weren't told.
The general atmosphere is of a lovely local village establishment, staff were friendly and the place is dog friendly which is always a bonus!
Lovely tradition pub offering nice real ales and good food but I was there just for drink. Beautiful atmosphere with dark wood deco. Toilets upstairs which is not good for majority. Inside and outside seating.
A very nice place with delicious beer and fish n chips. Amazing atmosphere too
wanted to order fish platter to enjoy with the live music, but it was sold out so ordered three small dishes instead. padron peppers were all right but the fries felt a bit soggy for me. but the great thing was the atmosphere, the guy performing at the stage was amazing! (said he was there Friday and Saturday nights, it started around 9pm on Friday) enjoyed more than two hours of concert with guitar+tambourine very much :)
Stumbled upon this place late at night. They had entertaining live music and a great crowd. Excellent espresso martinis!
Strongly recommend visiting this pub if in Central London.
Considering most pubs in the area are average to poor, this is anything but.
Manager was very attentive and attended to any request swiftly and happily.
The food was also brilliant - excellent place.
A wonderful old pub with a great atmosphere, live music, sports tv and lovely people. The staff is pleasant and not annoying. We were not on the second floor and on the terrace and did not try the food, only beer and live music)
Pubs are EVERYWHERE in London, but they are not all the same. Same measure rules on drinks, strict as expected, no Champagne by the glass usually (bottle only) but prosecco for sure.
Staff and proprietors that care about service and atmosphere make the difference. We were here during the World Cup and visit whenever we are in town. I have never written a review but now is the time. We have not eaten at the White Swan but plenty of folks were doing so. My review is simple; be here, drink, eat, be merry, have fun. It's not going anywhere however you need to come here if you have not. It's been here for like 275 years or so and my guess is they will be here for another 300 easy :D. They do it right.
It's a nice old school pub with live sports. Stopped for a quick pint with the missus and dog after work. The few tables outside are fairly relaxed. I was surprised at the bill £16 for two pints and pork scratchings seems steep. Might be the location close to Covent Garden.
