Visited 19th December 2017 in a party of five for an end of year supper with colleagues. Ground floor bar was delightfully chaotic and very lively, the dining room on 2nd floor was calm, warm and inviting. Food was excellent, the smoked trout scotch egg was to die for, my colleagues chose the scallops which were really good. We all had steaks, either rib eye or sirloin. My rib eye was perfectly medium rare, the char was superb. I’ve lived in USA and Canada so have eaten some pretty good steaks, this one was probably the best... Couldn’t manage a dessert, retires to the bar on 1st floor to get quite merry. Service was first class, dealt with one of our party making a delayed entrance due to missing a train south from York. This place will become a regular venue, for both work related and private suppers.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to your staff at the Farringdon branch. I had an excellent experience!! As a Coeliac I had contacted the restaurant before my visit to inform them of my allergies. Staff were extremely knowledgeable, attentive and friendly and went the extra mile to make sure that I could eat safely and didn't miss out. It was arranged for me to have chips from the top floor restaurant as I couldn't eat those from the dining room. Thank you so much to the whole team! Would definitely recommend to others who also have to eat gluten free (and love meat!).

Went on the steak, chips and glass of Malbec offer for £25 in the Top Floor dining on a Saturday night. Great views, friendly and welcoming staff, service excellent and most importantly absolutely amazing food. We decided to add to the offer and have starters, 2 sides and desserts. Food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. We ordered our steaks medium and they were perfectly cooked. Highly recommend Top Floor. Other floors were quite loud and lively but looked good and have different menus. All the food looks delicious and tempting. I'll definitely be returning to Top Floor whether on an offer or a la carte.

Tomahawk steak to share and bottle of wine for two - it is more for four than 2. A very generous portion of a really nice piece of meat. Staff are super friendly and attentive, the food is amazing and the place is pretty cool - different setup on each floor.

We had the Tomahawk Steak with chips and a bottle of Malbec for 2... It was fantastic I would definitely recommend it we also had mussels and scallops starters and extra sides of mac and cheese,spinach and onion rings.The restaurant was great the service and staff where attentive the atmosphere was buzzing for a Tuesday night we will be returning soon because we didn't have desert because we was stuffed after dinner. Thank You Smiths of Smithfields..👌🏽

Went to smiths for my sisters hen night was a fabulous experience staff were amazing food was outstanding would highly recommend it very good value for money will defo be returning thank you for a wicked night 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Popped in yesterday and went for the all day breakfast. Didn't need to eat again until the evening. Well cooked, and great portions. I'm the type that sees a buffet as a personal challenge to make sure no food is wasted. But this plate-full was plentiful. Good service too, very attentive. Will go again.

I booked via book a table for 5.30pm; got there early and was told they were not open yet! Brilliant start do We decided to have drink in the bar and wait...... we were booked for 2nd floor dining. Once upstairs Smiths didn't disappoint ! Our waiter was fantastic explaining anything we wanted to ask; he even charged our phones for us. All 3 courses were out of this world and I'm usually quite fussy. Would recommend in a flash and will definitely be going back soon !

Had a lovely meal, the starting platter to start with was very tasty. Had the tomahawk steak for main that was succulently cooked to perfection and went down well with an accompanying bottle of Argentinian Malbec!

What a great experience. My daughter and I visited Saturday 30th September in the evening. We booked the fillet steak and Malbec deal. We did add starters, sides and dessert as we wanted to experience more from the menu. Every part of the meal was perfect. Staff were so pleasant, welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. View was lovely. Very pleased with the bill too. Would recommend and certainly revisit.

Sat out on the roof terrace, great location with excellent service and food that makes you wish you could just keep on eating. Gala pie was perfect complete with jelly a must for pork pie lovers. Amazing rhubarb parfait the perfect finish to a very enjoyable lunch

Superb coffee - just outstanding and the bacon and sausage are excellent. Overall a great place for breakfast. Staff were friendly and service was prompt.

So much so that I had my 22nd birthday at a bierkeller, so we could all enjoy steins of the stuff. Since I’ve gone gluten-free, I find I don’t really miss bread – and I’ve never liked cake, anyway – but I’ve really missed having a nice cold beer, especially in hot weather.

Relaxed but sophisticated dining room, with attentive service. Sirloin steak was cooked how I asked - medium rare- and nicely seasoned. The chips that accompanied it were some of the best 'real chips' I've had in a long time.

Smiths is situated right by Farringdon station on Charterhouse Street and is a multi purpose venue with a (1) ground floor cafe (2) lively bar (3) second floor dining room and (4) top floor dining room. I have been to all but the top floor dining room, which has dining space on the terrace and specialises in a good cut of meat!

Great steak restaurant converted from an old warehouse with top class food. Obviously very popular with the amount of customers present. Ground floor very noisy and difficult to order drinks. Next two floors more seating areas and all busy. Was in a group of 12, I had a 3 course meal which was very good and great service from staff. Steak was cooked perfectly. Would recommend if you like steak, variety of choice. Expensive but you get what you pay for.

I had dinner with my partner and we had a wonderful time. Very good food, very well prepared and a nice, balanced menu. The stone bass and the venison were very tasty, with perfectly cooked scallops as starter. On top of the great food, very friendly and competent staff, from chefs Marco and Tim with great food suggestions to Greg and Klaudia on the floor with excellent wine choice and impeccable manners. Definitely recommended.

I went here with my girls on a whim as we saw this place enroute to our destination. We really enjoyed it! I would say the food is good it’s just that the portions were small for my liking. We also had wonderful server named Rashida who was soo sweet and attentive! Overall this place was nice stop off spot for lunch. Also thank you Rashida for making the experience even more pleasant!!

Been to this pub for a staff gathering and it was great. I would highlight the service and good atmosphere. We had a good time and enjoyed their food and beverage. Furthermore, our server, Jordi, was outstanding and very helpful with allergies and questions. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a pub where you can enjoy a drink and be able to have a chat.

I wish I could give the food and service more stars. The food was phenomenal and everyone we dealt with from our waitress to the chef were so helpful and lovely. They were very happy to accommodate dietary restrictions. This is my new favourite London restaurant.

We came for a team work lunch and at the Smiths rooftop and honestly Jordi was amazing. What a great host who explained the menu and gave good recommendations. Amazing service and even better food. Jordi is a credit to Smiths!

I’ve been at Smiths of Smithfield several times, it’s an absolutely fantastic place and has great view. Excellent food, always cooked to perfection and flavoursome. Dessert was scrumptious and beautifully presented. Although it’s on the pricey side, but you will certainly get what you pay for. Service was first class. Overall, had another amazing experience all round here. I would highly recommend Smiths of Smithfield!

A bit crowded but one of the best experiences you can have in Farringdon. So many tasty unique drinks that you can have with your friends and family. Four floors of excitement which will leave you wanting more. It's so good. You have to try it. I suggest the meat dishes at the restaurant and the lagers on the lower levels where the restaurant area ends. The special cocktails are worth trying too. If you fancy something different from normal pubs in the area.

My work colleagues and I went there last Thursday evening to have some food and drinks and we all were amazed by our host Jordi. We were a big and challenging group with different requests and he managed and hosted the event amazingly. He is very kind and nice and made our experience much better. We ordered few meat platters and they were simply delicious.

Called in for breakfast by chance as we weren't sure where to go. The food was reasonably priced for the area. I've eaten a lot of English breakfasts in my time, the bacon was out of this world as was the black pudding. Absolutely delicious, so much so, we went again the next day. We'll definitely go back next time we're in London and we'll maybe try an evening meal too. I'm confident we won't be disappointed

Visited here for my birthday with a group of 8 and had the rooftop bottomless brunch. Tasty food, good portions, very on it with the free prosecco pouring and the service was fantastic. Thank you to Jordi for being so friendly and accommodating! Only critique was that the ecoustics sometimes made it hard to speak without shouting.

Great service and really attentive staff at family reunion in London - with lots of age groups. We had a drink on the roof terrace and then supper in the bar downstairs. We were really well looked after and the food was very good. It was early evening, but nicely busy - a super place all round! Special mention for the wine list - very good at both ends i.e great value for well chosen reds and whites, all the way up to seriously good wine at appropriate prices.
