A must go place. I ordered the burrata and the charcoal dough pizza with apple, goat cheese and black olives and I absolutely love it!
Highly recommended! Just something to add.. I missed some dessert on the menu!
Authentic family run Italian pizza restaurant. Seriously AMAZING pizza with your choice of type of dough. Have to say that I was very impressed with the combination of ingredients used -- a truly creative approach to a pizza lover's pallet. The food and the service is great. Will definitely come back again and recommend this place to my friends.
Excellent i'm a regular customer i brought a lot of people and all of them have been happy with no problems. Real italian pizza, forget pizza hut or other fake chains of pizza, the real pizza is this one. Fresh ingredients and strong taste. Every kind of wheat, carbon black, gluten free, wholegrain and normal one....so you have only to try by yourself. Enjoy the time with your fellow switching off your phone as when you are in the cinema... It's not a british fast food, the mood is italian and different.
the best pizza in London and definitely my favourite ricotta cake.
The staff is extremely friendly and we always feel at 'home'. Often it's very busy but certainly worth waiting.
Lovely Italian pizza, one of the best restaurant in London!
Highly recommend
Great food and friendly and polite staff
Great local pizza place with wide range of bases. Love the charcoal one - looks a bit weird but won't bloat you up like regular dough.
Excellent gluten free pizza, best I’ve had in London..
This is comfortably the best pizza I have had in London, and possibly the best pizza I've ever had. I've been twice recently to check and it's insanely good. The dough is so stunning and authentic. The toppings well considered and generous. Honestly, give this place ago.
Zia Lucia provides great pizza, with a selection of different bases and toppings wide enough to suit most tastes. We've visited a few times and the particular stand outs are the Arianna and the Andrea Pirlo, both of which have phenomenally rich truffle flavours and are among the best pizzas I've ever tried. However, while the venue is somewhat quaint and easily accessible, the service can at times, slow to a crawl during peak dinner hours and they don't accept advance bookings. As a result, if you don't fancy waiting around on the street for up to twenty minutes for a table, your best bet is likely ordering takeaway or arriving early.
The right kind of cheese, right kind of ambience and the right kind of pizza .. it's a happening place usually crowded in the evening on the weekend and the reason for that is coz they've the best pizzas I've had in London so far, so I recommend this to everyone looking for Sourdough crust yummy pizzas
If you like pizza, and you like truffle, then you need to try the slice of heaven that is the Arianna pizza at Zia Lucia. Whilst the other pizzas served at this restaurant range between 'good' and 'great', the Arianna pizza is one of the best I have tasted, and definitely worth the wait. And boy, will you wait - one of the downsides to Zia Lucia is that you cannot book a table, and there is often a line spilling out the front door. The other turn off was receiving the response 'I dunno, ask him' *pointing vaguely* in response to whether or not they serve take away. But nonetheless, I will continue to battle the army of dazed and confused staff members to have my regular fix of pizza from Zia Lucia.
Best Pizza in London: fresh ingredients, great variety of toppings, and they have 4 types of dough you can chose upon. We tried the vegetable charcoal and the wholemeal doughs: tasty, light and very digestible. We paired the pizzas with prosecco - great price / quality - and finished off with a home made tiramisu, to die for. All, in a cozy and fun environment. We queued for a bit, but it was definitely worth it!
Pizza is amazing and it's possibile to choose your doughs. Btw you have to be prepared to deal with a long queue as the restaurant is very small and it's not possibile to book a table if your under a group of at least 5 people. Pizza and ingredients are very good but the restaurant is quite cold inside, probably because of the door that is always open and because of the stainless windows!
It’s no secret that I love pizza. So when I hear about a new pizza restaurant with rave reviews and beautiful looking food I’m going to have to go! Zia Lucia on Holloway Road is a family run restaurant and, after working our way through as much pizza as possible we could easily see why there are queues out the door, even on a Tuesday night!
Last week, on a sultry, warm Tuesday evening, I met up with two of the other Pizza Club lovelies (Connie and Vicky) for a review of Zia Lucia, a cute little spot in Islington which opened back in June. . With a sweet little restaurant and seats outside (where we happily sat), this is a great little place, and is definitely popular - people were happily queueing for fifteen or thirty minutes or more to pull up a chair and share a slice.
Good pizza – it’s not too much of an ask, is it? To be sure, pizza options are considerably better and more plentiful than when I first moved to London back from the States back in 2001, but there’s still a long way to go. Just a stroll stroll from Highbury Corner, newbie pizzeria Zia Lucia offers diners a menu of Neapolitan style pizzas baked in wood-fired oven alongside a variety of other southern Italian faves. And if my recent lunch there is any indication, it’s a welcome addition to the London pizza scene!
The foccacia starter is like a pizza in itself. Perfectly baked slices are served with fresh herbs, olive oil and vinegar. For our mains we ordered a charcoal navoli pizza and a wholemeal Andrea pirlo pizza. Our pizzas arrived nice and hot and both pizzas had a soft, fresh

You may have read my post on City Dash, a large-scale urban wide game that tickled my housemates and I so much we did it four times in as many months. It involves running around bits of the city solving cryptic clues and evading guards in high-vis, sort of like a slightly more grown-up version of 40-40 Homes. It’s tremendous fun, but if you’re conscious about running in public, or just prefer the clue-solving element, they’ve brought out a new game.
Lovely pizza, freshly made and served quickly. I had a margherita pizza with mushrooms added. Was very tasty. Only thing I would say is that I would have liked more mushrooms on top. Apart from that, was a lovely place to dine in.
Zia Lucia has ruined me for all other pizzas. Their dedication to quality shines through in every aspect of their pizzas. The dough is made with care and precision, resulting in a light and flavorful base. The range of toppings is impressive, and they cater to all tastes. Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian or a vegan, they got you covered.
The pizza base was nice, and the tomato sauce was good, but the vegetable topping was uneven and a little undercooked. The atmosphere was quite loud and not very relaxing. Service was good and the food was brought quickly as was the tap water.
As someone had mentioned before, the best gluten free pizza in the world, hard to describe but simply amazing pizza base and the toppings were mixed to perfection...lovely staff too...If you're in London and what an amazing experience, check this place out
After our tour of Emirates Stadium found this gem of an Italian restaurant.Pizzas cooked to perfection in proper pizza ovens, coffee spot on. A taste of Italy in North London, with faultless service.
We went with the intention of just having a pizza but we ended up ordering some many antipasti and pizzas that we had to take some leftovers home. The antipasti were really creative but didn’t impress me in terms of quality.. a bit overpriced too as they were around 5£ on average for 4 pieces. Pizzas were superb though! Selections of dough, great ingredients.. the Andrea Pirlo, with apples and gorgonzola was to die for!! Service was impeccable and quick. Prices are just a bit inflated but you pay for service, quality, location and the whole package. Really happy with it! Definitely recommended..
Lovely authentic pizza, friendly staff & a place worth checking out! Prices were a little higher than expected but the quality was there so can't complain (they were very generous with the buffala mozzarella).
One small complaint with one of the pizzas being a little burnt on one side & the toppings all sliding to one end - but it was still quite nice.
Really worth trying the aubergine polpettine (they had a hint of mint in them, just wish we got two portions!).
The food here is absolutely phenomenal, crusts are springy and delicious , vegan options galore, honestly it’s all just amazing. I’d go here everyday if I could. Feel bad only giving 4 stars but the staff were pretty unfriendly and confrontational when I first received the wrong dish. I’m sure it’s not a regular occurrence though and I wouldn’t let this stop you from visiting.
I’ve been a long time lover of Zia Lucia (this branch specifically - never tried other branches!), lighting up my Friday night with a home delivery of their amazing pizza.
Yesterday, I finally decided to visit their restaurant and definitely wasn’t disappointed.
It goes without saying, but enjoying their pizza straight after being pulled out of the oven was a magical experience.
The staff was very nice.
The spacing between tables is a bit small, but not bothersome.
You should absolutely visit them, or at least order via UberEats or Deliveroo if you have the chance!
Delicious Italian pizza offering 4 types of a dough to choose from. Vegetable Charcoal dough is my favorite as it's very light, easy to digest and super tasty. I really admire the service and kindness of entire staff working there - regardless how busy they constantly are they keep smiling and creating an excellent customer service experience. Gold medal to pizza men - they don't stop.
An authentic Italian restaurant in Holloway!
I was impressed with the mint tap water, bruschetta ndjua were delicious and the spicy pizza was so yummy 😋
I am so glad we don’t need to go to fancy restaurant to get quality pizza!
Except a little wait as it is busy busy, but rarely more than 15 mn
It may look like your average neighborhood just 2Km away from Arsenal Emirates Stadium, but Zia Lucia had the best Pizza in London.
I wandered in with a friends on a Saturday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of baking pizza. The restaurant was filling up quickly (it was almost 7:00 pm) but we managed to snag a table after 25min way( bear in mind there always a queue but it's worthy to wait. Trust me !!! Your 👀 will be happy by the time food are served to different tables. This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night! The staff are AMAZING ❤👏
Homely and friendly independently owned pizzeria serving super tasty authentic pizza on a choice of bases. At Zia Lucia’s the dough is slow fermented over forty-eight hours and then baked in a handmade wood-fired oven. You get a choice of bases from Vegetable Charcoal which is easier to digest and black in colour. Wholemeal is rich in fibres with an earthy taste. The traditional dough is nice and light and you also get a gluten free option.
Aside from the pizzas you can order one of the large salads, a cheese platter or cured meat selection. We shared a big wooden board full of vegetables which was amazing. It was beautifully presented with roasted peppers, aubergines, courgettes, artichokes, butternut squash and carrots.
Friendly staff, great food, rustic surroundings. Family friendly and good for large parties.
Amazing place, fantastic properly Italian pizza, the manager Frankie very helpful. Everything good. I will be back very soon.thanks a lot. Giorgia the Neapolitan girl who lives in London.
