The food was amazing! It was my first time ever having Indian food and I could be happier. Also on top of amazing food the service was top notch and welcoming. Wish I could rate it a 10 out of 5!
This place is amazing! The food is excellent and authentic, the staff are friendly and attentive. Cannot fault this place. I've been here 2 times now and I'm sure that il be back there! You guys go ahead and try!!!
Delicious comforting food. If you've got bored of not being able to get a table at Dishoom ever, head to New Delis. Really tasty okra, black dhal, and aubergine salam. Really on it for vegans too.
Food was really amazing and the customer service was great! Thank you! Would definitely recommend
Amazing place got here at 1122pm and was still served, great customer service, food was fresh, well presented, clean, and delightful flavours were beautifully balanced all in all I amazing I was suprisingly impressed . I have to say the best Indian I have ever tasted and that's saying something!!!! 10 out of 10 xxxx
So amazing! Visited twice while we were in London. Tremendous food and great service.
Great food great service 30 minutes before closing
The food is really nice and authentic. Love the taste of pav bhaji and chole bhature. A place to satisfy my cravings for Mumbai street food. Have taken quiet a few friends here and everyone loved it. Highly recommended.
Must visit place for real Indian food...good taste...
Amazing food!!!
The butter masala is great! and I drank a Thums Up for the first time! :)
Great Authentic Indian Cuisine. Reasonable price too
Try the stir fry bowls, really good!
Try out this place if looking to explore indian chaat! A cosy place to relax at on a rainy day!
"Home of comfort Indian Food" truly as they advertise. The place is nice place for more affordable Indian food alternative. They were high on spices and menu was full of Indian options which we were looking since many days.
Completely liked the street food options, followed by main course, and whatnot! We ended up with all the space available in tables full of some or other Indian dishes.
An amazing place in central London to satisfy your cravings for Mumbai street food. I love their pav bhaji. It actually makes me feel that I am in Mumbai. Chole bhature is good too. The ambience is nice. This place is not too crowded so can relax peacefully after work. The service is bit slow and at times the dishes are quiet spicy but too tasty.
New Delis brings an Indian street food concept to the streets of Clerkenwell and Chancery Lane. The founder recently decided to revamp the whole menu and create new innovative dishes with seasonal special menus. The Winter specials menu contains some hearty, filling dishes :. Uncle Sam’s Spinach Soup – A big bowl of goodness with spinach, lentils and warming spices served with a baby naan bread.
I am not normally crazy about Indian food, but really enjoyed my dinner tonight. This was partly because I showed the menu to Indian and Pakistani colleagues who recommended several items to order.
It's a bright modern space, with a pleasant soundtrack that's not too loud. Staff were gracious and happy to explain the menu extensively. Kitchen is efficient, as food arrived very quickly on a night that a third of the tables were occupied.
Our first dish of Bhel Puri Chaat was a revelation. It turned on its head all of my preconceptions of Indian food being heavy and stodgy. Puffed rice, bombay mix, skin on roasted peanuts, spices, fresh coriander, lemon juice, and date and tamarind chutney were served on very thin, brittle flat bread slices. Crispy, bright, herbal, zingy and sweet. A flavor combination I associate more with Northern Thailand than India.
Samosa Chaat was pleasant. Crisp potato filled samosa dressed in yoghurt and sweetened with a drizzle of date and tamarind syrup. Lamb Boti Kebab was good too. Very tender lamb. There were three awesome dipping sauces based on tamarind, mint and coriander smeared artistically onto the serving slate. I would have liked to have had more of the dipping sauces. Next time I will be bold enough to ask.
BBQ broccoli was another standout dish for me. A whole head of broccoli had been drenched in a soft young cheese and then char grilled. It was served still crunchy, so this dispelled my other prejudice about Indian vegetables being cooked to death. A light and clean version of broccoli cheese, actually.
The only dish I would not order again was the Aubergine Salan. Quite stodgy due to the large quantity of coconut cream. It didn't have the complexity of flavor of some of our other dishes.
We attended the discounted soft launch, but with a bottle of house red at a very reasonable £14.95, at full price our light dinner for two would have come to £42 before service.
Decently tasty Indian food. Prices are quite less but so are portions. But food is tasty. It won't be out of the world but it is good. You won't regret it. Chole bhature are definitely worth try.
Really excellent, authentic Indian cuisine!
Highly recommend!
Very welcoming and friendly staff!
We went for dinner around 6 pm and it wasn't busy which was great. The ambience was nice and toilet was clean.
We ordered the pani puri which because it's one of my favorite street foods and my husband had never tried it before. The pani puris were delicious! We also ordered papri chat, spicy chilli chicken and lamb kabab. All the dishes were great except for the papri chat. The tamarind sauce was too sweet. If the sauce was a bit sour and spicy then it would be a better dish. Overall we enjoyed our dinner.
The food here was delicious. It is fresh, nicely prepared, and not heavy or greasy. We had the yellow Dahl, the house Biryani, a green salad, and the papdi Chaat. The service is friendly. It would be a good choice for vegans or vegetarians.
Good quality food. Although not much crowd on the day I visited but will recommend. No artificial color added to curry
Excellent main dishes. I had paneer butter masala and it was insanely delicious- super squeaky tasty paneer in a rich creamy sauce. We also had some starters but they were just okay, nothing compared to how delicious our curry’s were. I recommend not wearing winter clothes like a sweater - it’s very hot inside but that’s probably because of how they bake the amazing fresh naan breads.
Really nice food, fast service, good price! Pic is of a range of the street foods available
Fantastic restaurant! The food is authentic Indian that everyone would love. The service was smooth and everyone seemed to be happy.
I tried the mums chicken curry which I loved.
The restaurant is very relaxed and perfect for a lunch break but they had a large party while we were visiting so they can probably accommodate events too.
Highly recommended.
Modern and tasty without being pretentious. This offers family favourite dishs and provides them promptly and straight forwardly. The staff are helpful, prices are good. I had the recommended lamb curry which was excellent. Looks good for veggie food too. I will return for sure.
Table of 6, Friday night, seated promptly. The service was impeccable from the outset. New Delhi’s menu has a lot of the standard fair you would like to see in an uncomplicated, reasonably priced curry night. The lamb and fish curry’s were very good, the portion sizes were perfect, although some of the sauces for the vegetable and chicken curries were a little indistinct. Drinks were replenished throughout the night, and the bill was a welcome surprise considering the central location. A welcome break from ‘fussion’ hipsters and minuscule ‘tapas’ plates; a solid curry house with fantastic staff.
Nice place with really good food. The service was great ad we are really enjoy
I visited this magnificent place other day with group of Friends last Friday. Prices are very reasonable and food tastes amazing. To top it up, we received great service from the manager. I think his name was Sanjay. Funny guy who would ensure that you leave totally satisfied. It was a busy evening and staff was still smiling. It's also service that they knit together with great taste that bring you back. I shall definitely recommend them to all my friends and family. Keep it up guys.
Excellent value for money. Good portions and great tasting. I was really impressed with the quality of the food and service. Despite it being particularly busy when we went, the service was just fantastic from everyone including the manager and waiters. Staff would check up on us, they were really friendly and polite. Would highly recommend and no doubt be visiting again
This is a wonderful addition to the neighbourhood cuisine offerings. The menu offers a chance to sample authentic and tasty Indian food. The staff are courteous and always willing to make recommendations.
The food goes far beyond conventional Indian restaurant fare and tbe menu is modern and clearly attracts a lot of custom from this City area. I am very surprised at the negative review posted here and recommend you try this experience for yourself.
good indian restaurant in the heat of town. will come back as starters and mains were delicious
I am usually not a big fan of Indian cuisine.
However New Delis was such a great find! The food is just so good! Will be coming back again, often.
Also very friendly staff, waiting time was ok and a nice place to sit and enjoy.
I left very satisfied.
I had the pleasure of having dinner here last night by myself. The food is flavorful and spicy. The service was excellent. This is a great place to eat alone or with a friend. It's pretty popular but the way it's set up you don't feel crowded.
If you are up for trying new flavours in nice, relaxing atmosphere, New Delis is definitely for you. Colourful furniture and decorations inside, delicious and healthy dishes inspired by Indian cuisine - all that create a whole new experience. The staff is very nice and helpful (in case you're not decided what to eat!). Vegan and gluten free alternatives are also very much appreciated. Variety of items in the menu is so tempting I will surely come back to try more!
Authentic Indian dishes, superb taste, elegant ambience and excellent service. What more can anyone ask? Really impressed with New Delis. As a vegetarian I will say, don't miss the Bombay Slider, Punjabi Samosa and the Kulfi dessert in a "matka" (small pot!). I was there for an after work meal with friends this week and it was a great evening!
