Pretty large space and gets crowded fast. Only a few waiters so ordering might take time. Food is good, nothing amazing. Lots of options.

Visited with a friend on a tuesday night and we had an amazing dinning experience. For starter we shared hummus with pitta bread and for main meal I tried the lamb kastaleta which was amazing! If you are around Oxford St. I recommend to visit this place.

If you have a good grounding in Middle-Eastern cuisine, and want to try something you've never had before, Yalla Yalla might not end up at the top of your list. If, on the other hand, you're beginning to get to know this wonderful world of flavours, you'll find a lot to be excited about. All the popular hot and cold mezze dishes you can think of feature in the selection of small plates; this makes it much wider than the range of mains, and also more appetising to me, as there's a lot in there I've known and loved for years. Had I ordered three small plates, as I initially planned, I'd have remained solidly into my comfort zone. I have a particularly soft spot for Falafel, Samboussek (filo pastry with meat stuffing) and Kibbé (lamb and wheat parcels), all of which Yalla Yalla offer - but I knew that, if even one of those hadn't lived up to my expectations, I'd have left the restaurant in a rather grim mood.

The few dishes I had no knowledge of and no anticipation for were in the mains menu, and that's where I ended up looking. I found my match in the Batenjan MĂ©shni: tender, perfectly cooked baby aubergines, stuffed with lamb and covered in heaps of tomato and red pepper sauce. If at the beginning I was hesitant to order a main of "baby" aubergines, worrying the portion would be too small and not filling enough, eating my way through it wiped away all my concerns. I had no room for dessert at the end, which is saying something, as I'll always try to make some when there's baklava on offer.

Satisfying as it was, the Batenjan MĂ©shni wasn't the highlight of my meal. The portion of Baba Ghanouj my partner and I shared as a starter made my evening, before we even got to our mains. The taste of smoked aubergine is strong in this one; spread it on chunks of warm bread for maximum satisfaction. Splitting one serving into two was the sensible thing to do, given that larger mains were on their way; to tell the truth though, I liked Yalla Yalla's Baba Ghanouj so much, I could easily have eaten a whole portion by myself (and probably both the complimentary flatbreads, too).

I didn't feel as impressed with the sides: both the bread we had at the start and the rice I got with my aubergines lacked a note of flavour. A shame, on one hand: given how generous in seasoning Middle-Eastern recipes usually are, I felt Yalla Yalla missed an opportunity there. On the other hand, the richness of both the smoked aubergine dip and my main course more than made up for this; maybe the sides had to be this bland, for me to fully focus on the taste of the Baba Ghanouj and Batenjan MĂ©shni.

Now for the language trivia: "Yalla" is the Arabic word for "hurry up". Going by the speed of service at the Fitzrovia branch, Yalla Yalla seem to have made it a strategy: our orders arrived with such reasonable timing, I almost forgot it was a crazy busy Friday night. Add to this the fact that tables are on the small, not-entirely-sure-where-all-our-plates-will-fit side, and you might forgive me for thinking the environment is designed to subtly encourage a fast turnaround. By contrast, finding a seat might take a little longer, as the place is much smaller than the crowds it regularly attracts. We did get a table within 20 minutes (a small, much welcomed miracle for a Friday night in Central London), but the wait wasn't the most comfortable, as a queue of around 15 people was squeezing in the hallway to find relief from the freezing cold outside, constantly in the way of staff members delivering orders all over the place.

I'd say that Yalla Yalla is to Middle-Eastern cuisine what Wahaca is to Mexican food. ÂŁ15 each (without drinks) is slightly more than my partner and I usually spend in this kind of place, but we felt it was a fair price, given how much and how well we ate. The question is whether we'd be happy to return or not. I won't say no if a friend or colleague suggests it, but won't go out of my way to plan another visit either. London has loads more Middle-Eastern restaurants to offer, many of which look equally or more promising, and I'm not even halfway through my to-visit list.

Good, reasonably priced Lebanese. The small plates are particularly good. The place is VERY loud, so beware if that isn't your thing. I found myself ordering wine just to mentally better deal with the noise!

garlic youghurt sauce were moist and delicious.  Sadly these were devoured before I got the. chance to photograph them – but I can vouch for how delicious they are! All the. above, plus two drinks came to £15 each which I think is great value – highly recommend. if you’re looking for an informal lunch or dinner venue!

Yalla Yalla is always a nice place to visit for some quick Lebanese dishes. The menu is extensive and the food is well made, delicious and full of flavour.
The décor and ambiance in Yalla Yalla is attractive and the staff are here are helpful. As a result Yalla Yalla is always a good choice for lunch or casual dinner.

I would say my fav here is the chicken liver with pomegranate mezzo.

I but any pastry with cheese or mince is great there too.

It's a bit heavy so do take some veg salad as sides.

We finished the meal with some succulent kafa meshoue (charcoal-grilled lamb with a grilled tomato and a sumac onion salad) which, with the batata harra (sauteed potato with red pepper, coriander, garlic, cumin, and fresh chilli), was more than enough for both of us.

i personally prefer the green's court yalla yalla if only for the intimacy and more subdued conversation. yalla yalla winsley street is the teenage version of green's court. as memory served from my previous visit, the food here is excellent. thick slices of halloumi grilled till its edges were golden brown was served on a mild and fruity olive oil with some tomatoes to cut through the saltiness. the makale samak essentially a lebanese tempura were fresh and hot. i personally do not care for these as i am not a huge fan of deep fried things but it is to yalla yalla's credit that the batter was crisp and light. the muhammara was really good with its nuttiness oiliness from ground nuts contrasting with the sweetness of roasted red peppers.

Very nice. Great mezze, good for sharing with friends. They have a good wine list. We had a white lebanon wine, that was really good. The food is also very good and we tried a little bit of everything. Not expensive for London. A good choice also for a quick meal.

I tried this new place near my home and was quite impressed with it. The food was excellent, especially the fried prawns and minced lamb which were cooked to perfection. The ambience is fine and the service is pretty quick and efficient. These people offer good value food which makes this place all the more attractive.

If you want to hang out with friends and have a good time, then this place should be your pick. The food is really good with pretty decent quality but the prices are not that decent. The drinks are pretty expensive as well but since it's located in an upscale area, this can be expected. It is similar to Greek/Turkish food and has lots of pastries, meats, sauces and all on display. All in all it is good for sharing basis.

The place was buzzing with people when we stopped for lunch, but the service was quick. We ordered 4 mezze dishes, which were of a good size. The choice of veggies in the dishes was good. The falafel was delicious, but the spinach fatayer was dry and sweet. Because the dishes were without hummus or baba ganoush, it was a little too dry, which resulted us in calling for some nice lemonades from their selection.

This place offers, some great authentic Lebanese street food! The food here is delicious and the portions very handsome! The food price is cheap and not expensive on the pocket at all. It is usually very busy and most often than not there is a queue. It is advisable to go in a group as one gets to sample a lot more on the menu!

I had great falafel after ages. The food that these guys have been providing is okay , I would not say great but it is just okay , except falafel ( I loved it )
The service was not 100% because the place was full but it was not much of an issue with me.
I am not sure that I will be going again but this place is good and worth a visit for at least once.

I am a regular visitor of this chain restaurant, and it is now open less than a couple of minutes' walk from my workplace. This place is perfect, and offers a wholesome experience. They have a huge menu, and cater to a customer in every single manner. There are both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options on the menu, and the service is extremely quick. The place is also priced very inexpensively. I especially favour the Soujoc, which are a kind of Lebanese sausage with tomato, parsley and lemon juice. We polished the meal with the grilled halloumi, falafel and hummus with bread. We also savoured our batata harra and spicy sauteed potato. Other patrons have also recommended the takeout wraps. I suggest that you make this place a regular joint.

I end up visiting about three times a week to this place. This justifies my love for this place. This location is huge and airy as compared to the other ones. The food is delicious as well. There is hardly anything that i did not like here what i ordered. Chicken taouk, lamb shawarma, hummuss, mezze are my favorites. For dinner, settle in with a wine recommendation from the knowledgeable staff. In fact, give them a clue on what you'd like to eat and they'll order for you. Recommendations from the staff have been awesome.

The vegetarian which is served here is piece of perfection . I really liked steak tartar it was very beautiful. The staff was good and the waiters were also nice , they were very helpful. You can not book this place so you have to wait in line like everybody else. If you want to book this place you sure should have more than 10 members in your group.
According to me this place is a must go and I will love going here again.

The branch on the green court is so tiny that one must be lucky to get a table here. I can never get over the food at this place. We totally enjoyed our evening here. We ordered many dishes, so that we could sample more of the food available. I especially preferred the shawarma hummus and arayes. Along with our food, we also had the Lebanese wine served here, and the taste was heavenly. The service was also nice and amiable, and the restaurant was not very busy at that hour. We are glad to have visited.

After not much wait we were seated at the restaurant although the place was full. The service is very slow and disorganized for our starters arrived with the mains. However the food was delicious, flavorsome and the meat was well cooked.
The sides to go with the mains are generous and well cooked.
The coffee did not disappoint too.
The staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable.

You will find the highest standard of Arab and Lebanese food at highly reasonable prices. I will suggest one to try the grilled halloumi and the houmus among other dishes at this restaurant, all of which are extremely delectable. Do not try the lamb schwarma though. We also ordered two bottles of white wine. The balaclava is a good choice for dessert. The staff was quick and attentive. Do make sure you arrive on time as the place can be quite busy.

I visited this place once before on account of a business meeting, and I was so impressed by the food, that I decided to revisit with friends. Upon arrival, we had to wait for about half an hour, and we were standing close to where the kitchen was visible. We could see the bustle of the preparation of food, and loved every bit of it. I recommend this restaurant to everybody.

Being an avid lover of lebanese food, I was so excited to hear that a lebanese retaurant opened close to where I live. Yalla Yalla is definitely a restaurant I recommend. It's extremely tasty and satisfying, and very reasonable prices. I went for the Hummus and the tabouleh, and my friend and I shared the chicken shawarma. We also tried the grilled haloumi cheese and the Kebbe-really nice! The portions are very generous, and we were very satisfied with our meal. You can feel that the food is fresh and of high quality. I will definitely go back to Yalla Yalla!

This is a review that I have been wanting to write for a while since I went to the Yalla Yalla in Soho. This is definitely a bigger busier and noisier joint and I just plain loved the ambiance.
I went there last night with a group of 10 friends and had a great time. We ordered quite a few Mezzes including Hummus, Tabboulé, Falafel, HALLOUMI CHEESE etc... they were all great! after the initial load of appetizers came the platters of meat and rice and goodness, the chicken was great, as was the mixed grill. Only off note was the lamb shoulder that was slightly dry but could be definitely be made better by adding the delicious chili and garlic sauces. Rice was cooked perfectly and the very pleasant onion and parsley salad that comes with the dishes is very nice. The amount of food was incredible, we weren't able to finish everything although it was really sooo good.
Also I would like to add a comment about our waiter: he was from Palestine and very prepared, he knew what we wanted and gave us a great experience and a few desserts on the house! All included, tip as well for 10 people it was 231ÂŁ so not bad at all 23ÂŁ a head??
This really was a great place and I highly recommend to go in a medium to large group to really get the right middle eastern feast feeling that I felt when I was there. And by the way I was with a great Egyptian friend of mine and he has my same thoughts.
*Manager could have some more carisma though!!! Come on! you can smile and talk to the table once in a while!

Yalla Yalla is a small chain with a great future to me! The first restaurant serving specialties from Beirut in a yellow and black graphic setting, with only 28 seats, open in Soho not that long ago, in 2008 I think. Yalla Yalla offers a nice atmosphere.
Upcoming restaurants should appear in other locations.

Nothing get's me out of the house faster than a dinner date with friends.

Or in other words....okay the ONE word; food.

J. & W. had a burning desire for some Lebanese.

Normally I would head to Maroush, but I wanted to try something different, and heard that Yalla Yalla's second, and more spacious branch had recently opened in Oxford Street.

Amidst all the shops and offices in Oxford Circus stands Yalla Yalla.

It's hard to miss the black and yellow exterior of Yalla Yalla, nor the buzzing young crowd of people normally queuing out the door.

The interior is cosy, and is set out in a cafe style, with long high tables.

Ideal for groups, but sitting on the stools at the high tables can feel abit uncomfortable if you're 5ft 3 like me, but after a few cocktails and good company you won't really care. (Just be careful not to lean back, lose your balance and fall head first on the floor.)

Not in the mood for dainty sharing of mezzes, we all went for a main each.

For ~ÂŁ10 each we ordered the chicken, lamb shawarma and a mixed grill.

The chicken and lamb was tender, juicy, well marinated and as an added bonus was piled up high on our plate on top of a nest of basmati rice.

The rustic, and homey presentation of the food just added to the relaxed atmosphere.

Great for lunch, a quick casual dinner, or a snack :P

It's always buzzing, unpretentious and is so inexpensive for such quality food.

So grab some friends and head on down for a chilled night out.

7.5/10 Yummei's (because of my near death experience)

Lovely food, not outstanding. The portion was reasonable, not oversized as you might expect (I'm not opposed to a big meal, but thought it's worth mentioning). Staff were kind and attentive, the manager was a little excitable, but knew the regulars and clearly cared. The restaurant was generally clean, but dark colours and patterns may have hidden a few issues, I only say this because the menus were stained and sticky and the cushions were about worn out, maybe it just needs a bit of a refresh. We were related in a quiet area away from most other patrons and it wasn't busy. No was the music too loud, it was actually quite pleasant. But a little chatter and the music just seemed to build quite quickly and it was a little difficult to have a relaxed conversation. Despite the soft furnishings I assume it's the low hard ceilings reflecting the sound.

The ambience is beautiful and incredibly romantic. I made sure to take photos that captured the vibe 🥰 The highlight of our meal was the grilled halloumi with dried figs. You don’t usually see this dish on the menu but it was the perfect accompaniment to our meal. Oh! And the rose and mint tea!!! ♥️ Most gorgeous rose flavour, that was deliciously refreshing. My family members that ordered the chicken taouk and chicken kofta said it the meat was a little dry :( I always make sure to order aubergine and chickpea tagine at Lebanese restaurants - it’s such a comforting dish and near impossible to get wrong. Thank you Yalla Yalla for a delicious meal and relaxing ambience, which is the perfect break to the chaos of Oxford street ♥️

We regularly visit middle eastern restaurants, and we must admit that this spot did satisfy our cravings. The food was spectacular, being expertly cooked, spiced, and prepared. Moreover, the lemonades were extremely refreshing, and tasted beyond fresh. Our only complaint was the service; although kind and helpful, the waiter seemed to easily misunderstand what we meant to convey, and was quick to block us when asking for changes in our order. Overall, we would definitely return and recommend this to others, especially since we paid around ÂŁ40 for two people and drinks.

Came here on a Friday night for dinner. I had made a reservation beforehand but it was quite empty when I got there. The location is a little hidden even though it's literally just off Oxford Street but people don't usually go down the small alley to find this amazing place. We ordered the mixed mezze platter for two and we checked with the waitress whether that was enough food or not. She said that we might need more but it turned out we didn't because the platter was so huge that we couldn't finish it! The platter came with hummus, falafel, chicken samboussek, tabbouleh salad, vine leaves and Baba ganoush. Everything was absolutely delicious, I particularly enjoyed the hummus and chicken samboussek, super rich taste. It also came with pita bread which was perfect for the dips. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. They had a mini problem with the card machine not working properly so customers including us had to wait a bit to pay but it was a small issue so it didn't affect our overall experience at the restaurant. The interior design is very Middle Eastern and I liked how it made it more authentic and cosy. Would be happy to come back again soon!

The food was really tasty. It is halal. The decorations and the ambience of the restaurant is definitely very welcoming. The staff were very friendly. We ordered the Palestinian chicken samboussek. They are little pastries with a delicious chicken filling. Although it was really tasty I felt that the price was a tad much for three small pastries. We also ordered the mixed grill. I really loved the way they cook the rice. No complaints on the mixed grill. The wings were perfectly cooked. The whole mix grill was well spiced. We had a side order of chips as well. Finally we ordered the mango cheesecake for dessert. All in all I think its a must visit.
