Best place for hot chocolate and their hand made chocolates đ« are just amazing. Really cosy place I must recommend.
Definitely the best chocolate and cheesecake in London!! Very friendly staff! They did their best for us to have a table!
The best dark&milk hot chocolate in town. Staff were very friendly & helpful. It was full but the staff only kept us waiting out for 5 mins. Very efficient ïżœ. We left the place with high satisfaction ïżœïżœ
Amazing italian chocolate place. I will back soon. Super friendly staff and delicious desserts!!!
Delicious mocha I have ever tasted ïżœïżœïżœSo yummy dipped in chocolate ïżœïżœ services was friendly and excellent ïżœ Would recommend everyone to visit !!
Love this place! Great food, very friendly staff & amazing chocolate! đđ
Hey we featured you on our list of the best food in London. Do check the post out and the photo on instagram. Would love it if you share it with your folks!
Much love xx
This place is amazingâdelicious food (and chocolate), friendly and helpful service, and stunningly original decor. I wish I lived upstairs!
Absolutely loved their dark chocolate crepe, I ordered mine with strawberries and it was YUM. The waitress that served us was more than friendly and welcoming. Although at the time of my visit it was pretty crowded, but within a few minutes youâll find a table.
Such an authentic place where someone can have the best drinks and platters in a nice calm atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful, the ambiance is nice and the service is prompt and punctual.
Very good restaurant that serves a vast array of delicious food items that are always freshly made and served at reasonable prices and prompt and punctual service with the help of a very friendly and professional staff.
The most amazing Hot Chocolate ever! â
Also do try their Chocolate Dipped Strawberries! đ đ«
Lived the whole place. It smells divine. Very unique chocolates. Too authentic, it's all food for the soul.
Definitely stoop here for a piping hot cup or a sweet snack.
The service is really courteous. Would definitely want them to expand and have more shops around.
It's really underrated right now, if you ask me!

We visited Said for coffee and desserts, the staff were very friendly. The chocolate cake was one of the best I ever had, its clear that this is a result of the passion and love of chocolate.
Highly recommended for anyone in London.
actually takes them 10 minutes to deliver cakes to customers when they order one at their store. Seriously, 10 minutes! There is a see through cabin where the cake is prepared fresh in front of the customer. Now, that develops serious customer trust.
A quirky coffee shop with limited seating, one has to be willing to wait to get a table..
We got a table after 10 minutes
We ordered a medium hot chocolate and a caprese- almond and chocolate cake
It took a good 20 minutes for our order to be served
The hot chocolate and cake were just average.. 3/5 however i give it a 5/5 for a one time experience.. the store ambience and the serving style if the hot drinks where the entire cup is dipped in chocolate
Good for instagram pics!
After eating a few bao buns next door, we came for deserts here. There was a 15 minute queue, friday night. The place is really small and you would bump into people on your way in. The menu has a lot of chocolate options. I went for the dark hot choc and a choc cake.
After eating a few bao buns next door, we came for deserts here. There was a 15 minute queue, friday night. The place is really small and you would bump into people on your way in. The menu has a lot of chocolate options. I went for the dark hot choc and a choc cake. Turns out I like to have sugar+milk in my hot choc. The cake was good. Service was slow as they were overcrowded. Can come again.
Good food ,good quality, recommended for visitors said dal 1923 ,desert served with love soho ,Lexington street London Delicious great yummy lajawab taste
Said Dal 1923 whip up some impressive hot chocolate, mocha and cake. Rated four stars instead of five because service received was just okay.
Hot chocolate is like a hug from the inside"
----------------------------------
Probably one of the best Gianduja Hot Chocolates in London! SAID's cup of hot chocolate is an occasion in itself. With its signature triple chocolate drizzle in and around the cup, it takes the experience of drinking a cup of hot chocolate on a whole new level.
The hot chocolate itself is made with pure chocolate and not cocoa powder, making it much richer than an ordinary hot chocolate. Surprising enough, with all that chocolate, it doesn't feel like an overload at all. With three flavours to choose from namely white, dark and gianduja (hazelnut), there is something for everyone!
Along with the hot chocolates, SAID also does coffee, pastries and some quick bites along with their in house chocolates (also used in the hot chocolate) and truffles. These chocolates seem to be a great gift for yourself to remind you back home of that sumptuous hot chocolate.
The ambience on the other had is quite rustic and old school with wooden tables and chairs, giving a sense of coziness. Though they have quite a few seating arrangements, it tends to get crowded during the evenings and especially on the weekends. The staff though are quite up to speed with the orders so you may not have to wait long for your order.
I highly recommend you to check this place out when in London for a warm cup of SAID's signature Hot Chocolate!

A heaven place for a chocolate lover, the chocolate dishes are mouth watering. The tiramisu and the chocolate cup are most lovable dishes. The ambiance is very good
Such delicious desserts and food. I always have the profiteroles with a cappuccino and sometimes a margharita if Iâm hungry. The quality is outstanding. 1 Star off for the tables - itâs not the most comfortable or spacious cafe around.
Said is a specialized cafe for chocolate in which they have mastered the flavor and the condensity. It was beyond the expectations. I had the chocolate cake with triple melted chocolate and the said mocha. The chocolate taste was super and the service is great. They donât charge tax or service charge, which is a plus. Great concept .. a must try for chocolate lovers
Said in Soho is an amazing chocolatier for all the chocolate lovers! Theyâre cakes are worth every bite. They have different types of chocolates on sale as well! Vfm 4/5 presentation 5/5
Expect to queue for a while, but it is definitely worth the wait!

*Top picks* - Gianduja hot chocolate, Dark hot chocolate with triple chocolate cup â
The hot chocolate here is deep, rich and velvety smooth. The medium cup is your best bet, priced at £4. The small is like a the size of an espresso cup and the large is just a tad over indulgent.
If you're in the mood for licking or creating instagram envy, then you can add on a 'triple chocolate cup' of white, milk and dark chocolate poured over the sides of your cup.
The interiors are cosy and well decorated with chocolate moulds lining up the wall and quirky tables made out of old machinery. They also have a small deli menu for a quick bite.
ânamobytes ~ little bytes of insightâ
If you're in a rush and are just dying to try it, you can ask for a takeaway and they will let you in right away!
The best coffee ever . Said is a nice cafe to visit. The staff are friendly and the sweet is amazing over here, specially the type of good chocolate.
I went to said after a friend recommended the place, it was crowded we had to wait for 30 minutes to get seated but was totally worth it, place was tiny and seats were not comfortable. Ordered their hazelnut hot chocolate with three topping, literally it was melted rich chocolate in a cup, heaven !! Presentation wise it's perfect, we ordered their salted caramel cake was ok. I would go again for their hot chocolate
I've heard about the place for so long and assumed it must be overrated. However, I just had their cappuccino and I think I'm hooked! Highly recommended.
The chocolate fan finally meets the ultimate chocolate destination, about time. Had the famous Said mocha, it was okay but nothing too special in my opinion. Only went half way through the cup and had 3 glasses of water to wash that down. I also had the Said chocolate cake, I honestly enjoyed the drizzled chocolate more than the cake itself. As much as I love chocolate, I'm not a fan of chocolate moose with chocolate cake for some reason. I'd only come back when I'm REALLY craving chocolate, not when I want something quick after a savory meal.
I hope they properly wash the dishes because you cannot just stop licking these cups covered with chocolate! :P
Additionally, great atmosphere and chocolate! Despite being so crowded, the staff is doing great. If recommend black chocolate cookies and mocha...
In search for the perfect hot chocolate this comes very close. Delicious hot chocolate served with chocolate dripping from the cup. Staff are very friendly. Note the place is a bit small and can get packed fairly quickly. Unfortunately the waffle was terrible and was very hard/chewy.
One of my all time London favourites, Said never disappoints! One of the best cheesecakes I've ever had and their gluten free chocolate cake is better than most chocolate cakes full stop. I was also impressed with the service, the waiter managed to serve a full house without slowing down once and was always prompt and courteous. Love this place!
One of the best hot chocolates I have ever tried. The mixture of the three melted chocolates (dark, gianduja / hazelnut, milk) is amazing. Love.
All I can say is please head here when in Soho or rather when in London to enjoy delicious and lip smacking desserts. The chocolate cake with chocolate sauce and the Affogato were absolute winners and not only were they delectable they were soul satisfying too. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and also loved the decor of this place with antique machine in one corner and chocolate envelopes and a massive display of delicacies appealed my eyes and taste buds too.
Definitely visiting this place again when in London
PS: Be ready to wait in long queues and be seated in a compact place.
Cosy small place filled with chocolate, I had a cup of coffee so can't judge the chocolate quality and taste and it's their specialty. But it's a nice place for a quick stop
Located in Soho, it is said to be London's (if not World's) very best hot chocolate. We had to wait in line before getting a table, but if you want to take away you can come in anytime. This actually bothered me becoz the takeaways caused slow service for the dine-in people.
I tried the dark chocolate for the hot cocoa with the melted triple chocolate that was dripping from the cup, it was soo good. It is as thick as seen on pictures, as smooth and sweet as you can imagine. I think regular cup of dark chocolate is enough for 2 people coz its really sweet.
I also tried milk chocolate in small cup. I dont recommend milk chocolate it tasted weird and waaay too sweet.
The salted caramel chocolate cake was yummy as well, but we had too much chocolate and sweetness already.
If you love chocolate don't skip this place! They have the best desserts in Soho area. (And it smells soo good) I ordered affogato, mocha and flourless cake. Their mocha is the best! And don't forget to watch them while they are preparing your mocha :)
Arrived on Saturday 11.30 AM, surprisingly not (yet) crowded, although customers quickly poured in shortly after. Friendly and smiley welcome.
Hot chocolate was done the Italian way, thick and sauce-y with 3 different options on flavour and size. Tried dark and loved it, though I had expected bitterer taste, this one was still quite sweet. Decor was homey, mostly wooden with metal chocolate moldings on the wall. Chocolate aroma was evident from the get-go.
Overall an impressive experience.
Winter can only mean it is hot chocolate season! While everyone is debating the best way to take hot chocolate or the best hot chocolate in town, this emerged on social media and everyone must agree that this is no doubt one of the very best ones in London. What brought Said Dal 1923 into everyoneâs attention this winter? They use chocolates from Antica Fabbrica Del Cioccolato, which is known as the oldest chocolate factory in Rome. But apart from that, what really made it stood out is having the triple chocolate dripping flowing over the cup of hot chocolate.

Dear Diary,
They say you can't buy happiness, but you sure can buy chocolate and Said london leaves no stone unturned to prove that chocolate is the best cure for a bad day. Today I had one of the best hot chocolates ever. SAID's signature drink-it comes with three different types of chocolate (milk, dark and gianduja-which is the hazelnut flavoured chocolate) It had perfect texture, very smooth, thick and rich. A complete treat to your taste buds and something which you just cannot miss once here.
We also had the fresh strawberry dipped in white chocolate which was very juicy and yummy along with a chocolate chip cookie.
SAID dal 1923 is heaven for chocolate lovers and should be on everyones 'to-go-to' list when in london
If there was anything called chocolate heaven it probably would be called Said Dal 1923! Yes, it's that good.
If you love chocolate, this is the place to be! The hot chocolate is to die for. It's rich indulgent and sinful, served with overflowing chocolate sauces it looks super tempting as it arrives on the table.
The desserts are great too, gotta love their tiramisu and brownies. And the takeaway hot chocolate is perfect! It's usually crowded, but the wait is worth
Keep Gobbling xxx
Their hot chocolate with dipped chocolate cup is just so yummy đ

They also sell their own chocolate which is Italian so we bought white & milk chocolate bars its delicious!!â€ïž
Great little spot, highly recommended. It's a small cafe but the decor looks great and the coffee is excellent. This independent cafe is a nice break from the chains that dominate in central London
This chocolate factory/cafe deserves high ratings! I had the mocha with triple choc and a cookie with white, milk and dark chocolate on it. My partner had a hot chocolate and a cookie with white chocolate.
I made sure to reserve a seat before going. I remember going last summer and had to wait very long to get a seat because this place is demanded. The staff were friendly and delivery was quick.
I also need to add..make sure you walk before coming here and jog after finishing, you really need to.
Good presentation of desserts! Great ambience. Italian hospitality.. must try the Affogato and the mocha. Make sure you walk there if you around and burn the cals before you put them in again đ
After a very heavy dinner, we went for a walk around Soho, then came here for coffee. The place looked liked a popular spot given the long queue outside. I also noticed that its patrons were mostly middle easterners which I thought was perfect given I was visiting from Dubai. I've seen how much they love coffee and chocolates so this was a sign that the place is good.
It took a while before we were seated. Not the one who would go for hot drinks, I opted for milkshake and my friend followed suit. I had pistachio milkshake and my friend had the salted caramel one. I knew these were not their speciality since all other tables had coffees, chocolate drinks, cakes and chocolate-dipped strawberries. The milkshakes were not the thick kind. Those were not filling which was good given we were still full from dinner. The flavours were also subtle. I found mine to be particularly good but my friend was looking for stronger caramel taste. I tried hers and the caramel flavour was indeed very mild.
I liked what I had but I felt we were missing out. We should have gone for the rich chocolate cake which was covered by white, milk and dark chocolate sauce when served. However, doing so will be plain gluttony. I maybe doing injustice to this outlet by rating it without having tried the speciality. Well, I can always update my review after my next visit.
SAID is a small shop, a few minutes walk from busy Regents Street. As you enter, the smell of chocolate draws you in. To the left is the counter displaying all sorts of artisan chocolate. Displayed in large glass jars or neatly aligned in rows, are handmade truffles and an interesting variety of chocolates (look out for the curry chocolate!). The three containers hold melted white, milk and dark chocolate which are poured over the sides of the cup when you order a coffee or hot chocolate. This is a chocolate loverâs dream.
Heaven for chocolate lovers! They are famous for hot chocolate in chocolate cups (dark, milk, white).
I had dark hot chocolate with white chocolate mug. When I mix it all, it was just perfect! The second time I tried the salted caramel cake and it was so good. Definitely a must visit for chocolate lovers.
One word: DELICIOUS
Chocolate lovers this is the right place to visit
I just loved their milk chocolate it's way too good!
And there's this almond cake which is divine went back that place a couple of days after my first try
Although the place is not very spacious but the servers will keep up with the crowd
Excellent service
And even better desserts
A place for chocolate lovers where one can experience deliciously soft and creamy liquid chocolate (available in milk and white) in a chocolate cup (either dark, milk or white variety) with chocolate spoon (all edible).
Coffee is nice as well as you can't go wrong with Italian cafes.
If not satisfied with all this rich delights, try a chocolate cake.

Youâve probably noticed that I love chocolate from my previous posts so when I saw the mouth-watering photos of the speciality hot chocolate served at SAID â a cup of melted chocolate that flows over the sides of the mug, I knew I had to get here ASAP!. The SAID shop and restaurant was founded in Rome in 1923 and specialises in the finest Italian chocolate. The experience was truly a chocolate lovers dream. You can smell the strong cocoa as you enter the small cafĂ©/shop on Broadwick Street in Soho. It can be a bit of a tight squeeze if its busy, which it was when we went at around 2pm but the service is great and you wonât be left waiting too long.
Its all about thier chocolate shot. So delicious. However. The place is so tiny and waiting time is around 45 min. I hope they get a bigger venue
I've been to Said twice and luckily I got seated on the spot and did not have to wait at all. The milk hot chocolate is so good and rich. I recommend the small or medium size, depending on your love for chocolate. On my last visit, I tried the large size and I must say it was extremely overwhelming. The white, milk and dark chocolate drizzle all over the cup gives an amazing taste once you stir everything together.
amazinggg coffee i think use lavazza am not sure though! the cup presentation with different kinda chocolates is very catchy!!! if youre a chocolate lover this is the place to be
Amazing spot for chocolate lovers, sells chocolatier's tools and gadgets along with very good chocolate.
Highlights: hot dark chocolate served in edible cup
a MUST visit for Chocolate lovers!
I had the dark hot chocolate: i love dark choco but at first im afraid that the dark hot choco was going to taste bitter, but its not. For me, its just the perfect dark hot chocolate. its sweet and has a kick of bitter taste. Plus, there were milk chocoand white choco dripping on the side of the mug, and when i mix it all to my dark hot chocolate, it tasted like freaking heaven.
My friend had the milk chocolate, and like the dark hot chocolate, i think its the BEST hot chocolate ive ever tried. Next time i will order the milk hot chocolate if i dont want something heavy haha.
Overall i will come back again to try the cakes and drink the hot chocolate again ofcourse :p
An absolute must for chocolate lovers! No wonder this place has been rated London's best chocolate place by a few different polls.. I've been here twice recently, once for coffee and cake Sunday and again for a late night hot chocolate/dessert treat, and both times it was incredibly delicious!
The first time I tried the mocha which is incredible.. The mug comes out completely covered in chocolate. There's no elegant way to drink this, it's messy but amazing, not too sweet and great fun when you find yourself licking the mug. I also had the salted caramel tart which was up there with one of the best tarts I've ever eaten - very rich, sweet and incredibly delicious. I was sad when it ended!
The second time I tried the hazelnut hot chocolate. This is so amazing and thick it's almost like a chocolate soup! Every sip was amazing. This time around I shared the salted caramel tart with my sister and on her first bite she claimed 'it was so good she might cry!' All in all this is a delicious cafe and definitely worth a visit. It's definitely going on my 'recommended cafe' list!
Hands down the best hot chocolate I have ever tried and it has to be the best in London! Great location in the middle of soho and Carnaby Street.
I have never heard of Said Dal 1923 even if I had been living in Rome for a long time.
I went there with my friends in a rainy Sunday afternoon, it was quite busy and we had to wait for almost 30 minutes but it was worth it.
We all ordered the gianduja hot chocolate, the medium size (even if we could have taken the bigger one) and the salted caramel cake to split.
I can definitely say I finally found the real Italian hot chocolate, very dense and tasty. It was perfectly hot and very well presented.
I was curious to try the cappuccino and I will do it next time!
I didn't really fancy the salted caramel cake, I thought it was too heavy for just one person and even if we split it was still too much.
We also noticed the shop sold some spreadable chocolate so we asked if we could try and then we all bought gianduja chocolate.
The staff is very friendly, helpful and they believe in this chocolate shop. You can see it in the way they speak about chocolate and tradition.
The only negative thing is the size of the venue, too small and even the staff have difficulties to move and walk in the bar. But they told me in Rome is much bigger than this, so next time I will visit it in Italy!
SAIDâs signature drink is five-star, ultra-thick hot chocolate. It comes in three flavours â dark, gianduja (hazelnut-flavoured chocolate) and milk. Go dark if you want a taste of the real thing: youâll hardly get it this good outside of Italy or Spain. The gianduja version is what I imagine melting a hanfdul of Giandujotti truffles in boiling milk would taste like; once youâve tried it, youâll never go back to hazelnut syrup shots in takeaway styrofoam cups. I havenât tried the milk version, and donât feel drawn to it â but thatâs only because I prefer dark chocolate. An alternative for those who prefer milder flavours can only be a good thing.
Wonderful European style hot chocolate with thick texture. The cinnamon dark chocolate bar was really nice, especially if you are a cinnamon lover.
After cocktails at Imli Street and dinner at Bibigo, a wander around Soho was in order. A previously researched hidden bar proved too hidden to find, but then we stumbled across a little piece of heaven: S.A.I.D. The wares caught our eye and drew us in, the service kept us inside. We couldnât face the idea of another cocktail, but a hot chocolate on a slightly fresh summer evening seemed like the perfect substitute. Three flavours, you say? We can taste it before buying? Why thank  you.
This is a new place in Soho . Its only branch is in Rome and now there second branch is in London. They are famous for there hot chocolate and mocha. Its crowded but the gentleman there took good care of us and the waiting area is just outside the shop. The cake was so good too. If you fancy an exclusive hot chocolate come here.
Said is in the heart of Soho; a beautiful shop and cafĂ© dedicated to the finest chocolate and everything related. The original Said in Rome is a factory and shop thatâs been there for over 90 years and is still run by the same family.
Saidâs hot chocolate is rich and thick, and bubbles away behind the counter in separate white, milk and dark cauldrons, and you can have it served in little cups made of chocolate, which are heaven on earth. There are mountains of truffles, caramels and pralines, an array of homemade cakes and puddings and huge slabs of pure chocolate sitting in piles on the counter. Everything is either made on-site or brought over from Rome.
The coffee is great, staff helpful and sweet and they do sandwiches etc at lunch, although I havent tried those yet.
Said Dal 1923 is quickly becoming my favourite place for coffee. As you walk through the door, the waft of chocolate envelops you. There is chocolate, everywhere, churning in vats, in delicate truffles at the counter, and in big jars of homemade hazelnut spread along the shelves. If a hug could be turned into a shop, this would be it.
Their selection of teas and coffee is extensive, and whilst I only had a *whispers* decaf cappuccino, it was rich and dreamy. In the thrum of Soho on a Thursday night, the inside of the shop is cosy and inviting and a great place to wind down after dinner. Or get dinner. I've yet to sample their hot meals but if it's anything like their desserts...
Speaking of which- I shared a plate of chocolate covered strawberries over my frothy decaf. The salted caramel and chocolate tart was also tasted and it was decadent (of course) but delicious. The staff were friendly and never intrusive- in a place like this where you just want to cuddle up to a mug of hot something, that's what you need! In fact, totally recommend this place for a date night.
What: Chocolate Shop
Where: Soho
Value: ÂŁ5pp
Food Review: Tea and Coffee is available, but the hot chocolate is what you come for. With milk, dark and hazelnut to choose from with added extras of cinnamon, cardomen and chilli, i opted for milk with cinnamon and i was not dissappointed.
Settings Review: Situated on a sleepy side road off busy carnaby street, said is potentially one most will miss. But then you walk inside. The shop is small with the cakes displayed in the window, chocolate moulds as interior and a counter displaying various chocolates ready to be eaten. The seating is a mismatch of sofa chairs and tin milk cans (yes cans with seats!).
Positives: amazing hot chocolate, funkt interior
Negatives: small, packed, busy
3 Word Review: best hot chocolate?!
By Esin Huseyin
When the weather outside is dreadful, like it was yesterday, and youâre having a bad day and have a bad case of a head cold â thereâs nothing you would love more than something hot to drink.
Scrap that, you want something hot and something chocolate; for a change I decided to try some of the finest hot chocolate in Soho â according to quite a few bloggers out there.
When you walk past this shopfront on the street, you can see how small and intimate it is on the inside, but the huge glass windows at the front allow so much light in that it just breathes air, it feels bigger than it actually is. When you first walk in youâre greeted with walls lined with chocolate cases â itâs a trinket lovers dream. But bigger than that, you literally hit a scent wall, the room smells of chocolate as you instantly walk in.
Thereâs a buzz about the place, thereâs a constant to and fro from customers coming in and leaving, the staff buzzing about, and the room is filled with constant chatter, laughs and the tapping of laptop keys. If you took the people out of the equation, this room would still be a busy scene. Yes there are cases hanging from the walls, but the shelves are over flowing with chocolate and baked goods â so much choice!
I was actually recommended this place by a few people, and was told to try their hot chocolate by all means necessary. Now lets not get things mixed up here, this is real hearty Italian hot chocolate â real chocolate creamed. When the cup arrived it was so thick that I actually had to constantly keep stirring it, and needed to make sure I didnât have a chocolate âtache.
Not only was the taste absolutely divine, but it was the right temperature â no scalding the roof of my mouth this time, I felt quite smug like I had outsmarted the temperature Gods. There are three types of chocolate on offer; Milk (what I opted for), Dark and Giandiua â all for the same price! Whatâs even more amazing is the fact that you can personalise your cup of liquid heaven by adding any of the following; chili, cinnamon, cardamon and even white of black pepper. I decided to judge with the basic this time round, but Iâll be back to try it with cinnamon.
I was sat enjoying my cup of chocolate goo, the good kind, and was watching the world flutter by â the place was full of a variety of people. There were tourists, office workers as well as freelancers tapping away on their laptops; what you would expect in Soho really. It is just a down to Earth place with a cosy environment. There is even a bigger table for larger meetings â one was actually taking place when I was there.
I didnât want to take too many âblogâ photos, as I didnât want to ruin the moment for myself, or for the others there. Youâll understand what I mean once you park your bottom on one of those chairs.
If youâre ever near the Soho/Oxford Street area, you definitely need to check this place out. Great atmosphere, great chocolate, wonderful staff, and lets face it â would you say no to chocolate? Iâve also heard the salted caramel cake is great, but I couldnât be that greedy? Right?
Was told to try the salted caramel cake but didnât want to be greedy, may have been a chocolate overload.

The hot chocolate is heaven. Silky and smooth and different to your regular boring coffee houses aka Starbucks. The interior is very antique and candlelight create a great ambiance.
Said dal 1923's hot chocolate is high in quality and very rich in cocoa solids. We enjoyed the glass counter where we see different pieces of chocolate made by Said as well as the hot chocolate taken directly from the cauldrons (you can ask for dark or milk hot chocolate!!)
With relaxing 80's Italian songs playing in the background, it made our Henchman forget that he had a duty to complete!Â
Discovered this with the other half and it was amazingly satisfying. The chocolate is displayed in clear jars and in regards to the hot chocolate - they are bubbling inside the little cauldrons behind the glass counter of chocolate pieces.Â
Their hot chocolate is high in quality, thick and very rich on the cocoa. I've had the milk chocolate and it filled me up quick as well as keeping me warm. I enjoyed looking at the metal chocolate moulds handing on the wall for a unique decoration.Â
.
When Said opened, my friend got a part-time job as a waitress. She was really enthusiastic and since I know her love for fashion, creativity and smart things, the way she was talking about the place, really made me curious.Â
On a Sunday morning, then, I decided to have my breakfast there and it was love at first sight. The place is really magic, it just makes you eat chocolate, relax and forget about the world. Inside, the radio was playing 80's Italian songs, emphasising the romanticism and elegance. It really reminds me of that graceful and smart style my grandparents had. It is like tuning back time.Â
Negative sides: it is a bit small and pricey. In addition, it is not really set in a location you would visit by chance.
I just went today for a coffee meeting with , the place is cool something different in the area of soho , capuccino is really good , they are make a real hot Italian chocolate not the one make with milk and powder but with real chocolate Creamed but I think that is a bit expensive as a cafe-bar, of course the place is very exclusive and the service is on the top so is worth it .
They are doing even some amazing sandwich with a crispy bread and then you can buy and choose variety types of chocolate in every shape and taste .

My sister tipped me off to this place, Said. Seemingly a kind of chocolate heaven, we headed there after our little jaunt in Carnaby Street for an indulgent dessert.
The shop/cafe itself is small, lined with delicious looking truffles and cakes and other things that make you dizzy with sugary desire.
I actually went there for a specific item - their salted caramel chocolate tart. Unfortunately, it wasn't available that day - a bit of a bummer, but having marched there with salted caramel chocolate-y goodness in mind, I couldn't leave empty handed.
So we decided to go for the decadent looking chocolate cake they had on display, and sat down to tackle it on one of their al fresco tables.
That cake was flippin' fantastic. Not too sweet (major pet peeve for me, when a cake just tastes like sugar), the icing light and mousse-y, incredibly chocolatey and just delightful.
I shall be back to take revenge on the absence of the caramel tart, but so far, so good.
http://www.wandertowonder.com/2014/07/said-chocolate.html
Actually very (too) sweet with the chocolate all around your cup. Itâs part of the concept though so it was a nice experience in overall.
I definitely recommend the chocolate cake with triple chocolate, but with a black coffee as a drink, otherwise it can get a bit overwhelmed by the sweetness.
NB : The staff was adorable.
Ive been looking for a thick dark triple chocolate. So I thought I give the Italian Bear Chocolate a try. It didn't disappoint. However I hope they could improve it to be more thicker.
A great place for hot chocolate.
Great choices and hiper sweet drinks. We ordered some cakes, but as the hot chocolate was so sweet, we end up not finishing our cakes, but they were good.
Is a cosy place and constantly busy. Staff was really friendly
We got to experience this place thanks to Gourmaze. We only sampled the hot chocolate and chose the dark chocolate version which was very indulgent. I don't quite understand the obsession with pouring the chocolate sauce over the cups, but anything for clickbait and likes I guess! The quality of the chocolate is good and the place does well to serve high quality chocolate in Central London.
Italian Bear Chocolate is a haven for chocolate enthusiasts. The cozy ambiance sets the stage for an unforgettable experience. Indulge in their exquisite Italian hot chocolate, and make sure not to miss the triple chocolate option. Immerse yourself in chocolate bliss at this delightful establishment.
I was thinking where to go for a quick sweet lunch before watching the Harry Potter theatre show and this place came up as I looked at my Google maps for places I had marked "want to go". It was the perfect choice and timing because the place was half empty when I got there just around 12noon so I was able to get a seat right at the window to people-watch and enjoy the delicious food at the same time.
I went with a small gianduia chocolate as I absolutely love hazelnut in chocolate, and the chocolate ganache cake with triple chocolate sauce as an add-on. OMG, I loved the hot chocolate so much, the nutty flavour came through nice and smooth which made the sweet chocolate less heavy. The cake was also delightful, I don't know why but adding the triple chocolate sauce didn't actually make it too sweet for me. In fact, it really stimulated my appetite as I gotta admit I am not the biggest the chocolate fan so I only crave it every now and then. But this was so easy to eat, I managed to go through 3 quarters which was surprising because I never finish my food for more than half of it! The only downside was that I wish the cake was served warm to me with the hot sauce because it would have made it even more hearty and perfect for a cold day.
Service was good, particularly the waiter who came took my payment was kind and smiley. I am definitely coming back to this place to try the waffles with chocolate sauce and strawberries!
I loved this place so much and I really hope I would have the chance to visit it again some time. We had the hot chocolate and it was decadent, creamy, rich and sooo chocolaty. We also wanted to try the famous chocolate cake but even though we ordered the medium hot chocolate, it was SOO heavy and we couldnât even finish itđ„Čđ„Č So I would definitely recommend Italian Bear Chocolate but if you want to try more things I suggest you order a small drinkđ«¶đ«¶
I have visited the Italian Bear Chocolate cafe on 2 occasions now, it is ideal for formal and informal occasions or even as a stop off point for a quick takeaway coffee. The food is astounding and the staff very polite and welcoming, as well as knowledgeable about the various dishes they serve. They do some pastries, paninis and cookies but for the chocolate lovers might I suggest a "3 Chocolate cup" of either hot chocolate or coffee as per my photos WITH one of their solid chocolate shot glasses filled with liquid chocolate. Keep up the good work guys.
We accidentally found this place but it was amazing. Everything with chocolate even decoration. For chocolate lovers like us, here is the heaven. Rich chocolate in every menus, good vibe and nice staff. Highly recommended !!
This place is heaven for chocolate lovers. They serve wide variety of desserts and bakery items. Waffle, pancake and hot chocolate are must try. Prices are decent and service is really good.
Do not miss it! A very small place for itâs fame, so if you donât want to stay in the queue book in advance. It is a special experience especially the triple chocolate added to your hot chocolate. Everything very tasty and you will end up licking your fingers. Canolo Siciliano wasnât the best I had, but the rest was very good.
OMDZ as a chocolate fiend this is my idea of chocolate heaven as the hot chocolate is made the Italian way, with real melted chocolate. I had the dark hot chocolate and it was delicious đ. I'm still dreaming about the salted caramel tart đ„ź. This is a great cafe to feed your sweet tooth.
This place is heaven for chocolate lovers. Everything is extremely yummy and tasty. Prices are also good as compared to the quality and quantity. A must visit place!
Amazing desserts!
The place is congested!
We waited for an hour to get the table for 2.
The service is great though.
Bread basket is good!
Special mention to cake with triple chocolate, this is for someone who has sweet tooth.
Prices are reasonable and quantity is good.
Wish there were more options on menu!
One of the finest hot chocolate spots in Central London.. the place is well known.. best spot for chocolate lovers for great price..
There is always a long queue to enter regardless of the time..
My husband and I went to Italian Bear Chocolate when we visited Soho in February. It was absolutely amazing. The staff was so friendly and very accommodating. The food we ordered was outstanding. We ordered the mixed cheeses & charcuterie board, which was heavenly. We also ordered the Italian Piandina (salame, mozzarella & salad) which was truly enjoyable to eat. My personal favorite. My husband had the vanilla milkshake with triple chocolate & whipped cream. I had the Italian Triple Hot Chocolate size regular. Both were delightful! We will definitely be back when we visit Soho again. Highly recommend!
Absolute delish! đ€
Hot chocolate as insta food bloggers have made it popular, it is indeed worth a try!
-Go for small, if you do get to point where itâs too sweet too soon
-Iâd recommend getting something not chocolatey! To balance it out đ
-Staff is great at accommodating you at best to get a table! Afternoons after 4 do tend to get busier.
Overall, amazing experience! I went in after finishing off the London half marathon đđ»ââïž, worth the sugar rush đ
