Mandalay - London - Photo album

Best food - well worth trecking the small distance up Edgware Road. Kindest, most friendly service in this family run restaurant. We are big fans (very veggie friendly) and will definitely be back again (repeat visit today).
Although the portion sizes are not huge but the food is extremely tasty. And the owners are very friendly as well. 5* for food, 5* for service and 2* for ambiance.
They moved a few month ago to this new location, still great Burmese food, but they are not the only one anymore in London, and competitor are very serious !!
My husband and I came here for an early Valentine's dinner and absolutely loved it!! We hadn't tried Burmese food before but the owner was very helpful helping us choose dishes, and we were really blown away by how delicious the food was! The tea leaf salad, pickled lamb curry, and chicken khaosay e
A lovely bit of Myanmar in London. We came mid week and for most of the meal were the only customers. Service was friendly and quick - the waitress seemed happy to explain what meals contained. The tea leaf salad was good and overall food we had we were happy with. Prices are good and the owners see
Absolutely outstanding. This is a labour of love for the owner (and the only place in the capital to have Burmese beer). Food is lovely, truly authentic and the tea leaf is better than any I had when travelling in Myanmar. Go and discover the food of this fabulous country yourself. And have a chat
We visited this restaurant in August 2017. The food was amazing. It had a large selection of authentic Burmese cuisine, with a choice of spicy and non-spicy dishes. I have to say, the food was so fresh and tasty. Service was also 5*. The staff were so happy to mingle and that made the entire experie
I went here two days in a row because the food was so good. I've not had Burmese food before so not sure about how authentic, but it tasted homemade and fresh. The chicken khowsay was heavenly, and I also loved the papaya & cucumber salad. Will definitely go again!
Great food in an unassuming environment. Lovely welcome, spectacularly good lamb tamarind. Place looks like a rather ordinary cafe but food is excellent & great value too. Sure those in the know go regularly but shame it looks rather uninviting from the outside in an area where there is a lot of com
Something very special. Wonderful and Original experience. The kind of warm, family run, community conscientious place, everyone's always looking for. First time to eat Burmese, and it was just as exciting as I was hoping for. Wonderful tea leaf salad, and Lamb dishes. Owner very nice to talk to. Ea
Feels like a lovely family-run restaurant, so straight away I felt at home. The staff are very friendly and the place is very cosy. Food and service were great. Food tasted very fresh, and was very reasonably priced. Staff were great with recommendations as well. (the spicy lamb is delicious!) Wi
Best Myanmar food I ever have!
Went twice in a week because we were so impressed! The food is delicious, the staff are so friendly and really take the time to explain how the food is made and the differences between Burmese food and Indian/Thai. Extremely good value and you can tell the food is cooked from scratch every time.
My first experience having Burmese cuisine and why did I wait for so long? Loved this quaint and off the beaten track place. The staff were super friendly with a homely feel only a hand few restaurants can achieve. Pickled lamb curry 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Great food and engaging host. Loved the fresh papaya salad and chilli chicken as well as noodles with coconut fish sauce. Tapioca dessert was v sweet and delicious. Been here 3 times now in just over a month - my introduction to Burmese cuisine has been a real delight.
I was very happy to hear that the Mandalay had re-opened in the Kilburn area, a few minutes walk from the tube and overground station. The restaurant is much larger than its predecessor which can now accommodate for all the hungry customers! We opted for the mohinga and chicken khawsay dishes which
So I've never been to Burma, but this restaurant somehow screams 'authentic'. It might be down to the atmosphere, which is functional rather than swanky, but you get the impression that someone who can really cook has been persuaded by friends to share their food with the world. The noodles are a bi
Superb Burmese food. Think a combo of Indian and Chinese with a bit of Thai thrown in, and you'll have a good idea. Redecorated last year with a revised menu, but the food is still as good and the reception just as welcoming. Really good value for money - you wouldn't think you were in London
Get the tea leaf salad, it's so frickin good, it's even better than a steak or pudding
