You’ll never be hungry like a wolf when you eat at this adorable restaurant serving authentic Italian food in the heart of Stoke Newington. I've eaten here at the weekend and had a delicious brunch, we went back for dinner which was top notch. We spotted a celebrity from Game of Thrones whilst dining! Helpful and friendly staff, beautiful interior, great location and fabulous food.

Had been wanting to go here since they opened and went a few months ago and we were not disappointed. As it says in the description the food served is Italian food but not as what you'd find in other chains. We didn't recognise some of the items on the menu but everything we ordered was delicious and was presented beautifully. Service is very friendly and quick and the venue itself is small but cosy and welcoming.

London is saturated with restaurants and a whole bunch of those are Italian. There are only a handful of restaurants where I have thought that the food is on par with my travels through Italy. Lucky for me, WOLF is definitely one of them. WOLF is situated on Stoke Newington High Street with a modern and light interior with smaller and larger tables as well as coves with sofas and bar stools. They pride themselves on being a neighbourhood restaurant focusing on local produce and building relationships with their customers – my kind of place. Their fish is sourced from the family run fishmongers Sutton and Sons opposite WOLF and they make their own vodkas, gins and infusions in house and love experimenting with the cocktail menu making it sound out from the rest. We visited on a weekend so were spoilt for choice with the brunch and lunch menu – WOLF have clearly spent time considering the best seasonal produce and what works well on the menu by narrowing it down to 5 or 6 choices (Gordon Ramsey would be proud!) We had the Fennel Sausage with Deep Fried Egg, Flat Gnocchi & Caramelised Tropea Onions from the brunch menu – I loved that it was different from more generic brunch dishes and the sausage was so flavoursome. We also chose the Bucaatini with Venison Shin Porcini Ragu & Parmesan and Truffle Potatoes with Parmesan, Rosemary and Truffle Oil from the ‘Plates’ menu – this was seriously good – perfect al dente pasta with a decent portion of delicious ragu. As I mentioned above, the cocktail menu was really impressive, focusing on the homemade gin and infusions and, given it was Christmas, we definitely deserved a little tipple. The Mora Nicolino Homemade apple and blackberry gin, lemon, cloudy apple juice, pear and blackberry puree and the Fresco Cetriolo Wolf’s gin infusion, elderflower liquor and lime were both so fresh and tasty. Instead of dessert we had two more cocktails – a twist on an espresso martini with mezcal and the Zucca Sour – Wolf’s Spiced Pumpkin Vodka, lemon, egg white and syrup, which were fantastic. Instead of trying different cocktails you could also make your brunch bottomless for £18 with the choice of Wolf’s twist on a Gin Spritz, Bellini or Bloody Mary. WOLF is absolutely worth a visit with fantastic food at reasonable prices and a lovely ambiance with attentive and friendly service. Also check out WOLF’s pop up in Broadgate Circle by Liverpool Street!

My boyfriend and I came here last night and had a wonderful evening. Food was delicious, slightly on the pricey side, but well worth it as it was good quality and portion sizes. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Very nice cocktails too!

Staff are so friendly and welcoming it makes a huge difference, and the food is amazing. The prices are a little high £20 a main but the quality is high and the portions are really big. We shared a Primi (smaller main course) and had a secondi each. And we were satisfied. The menu is not too big so your not spoilt for choice. Would definitely go back.

Wonderful food and brilliant service. The food was delicious and the experience as a whole was delightful. Many thanks to our considerate and helpful waiter who talked us through the options and made some excellent suggestions. Had a great bottle of wine and the meatballs amazing.

Amazing restaurant with delicious food and very lovely staff. It truly gives the saying 'sharing is caring' its meaning. The concept of small plates to share is really fun and you get to taste a lot of different meals. Highly recommend!

Stunning Italian food on small plates. I could not recommend this place enough. It is slightly on the pricey side given the smaller size of the dishes, and everything is so delicious you will want more and more. Be prepared to spend £30-40 per head for a good meal, not including drinks.

We stumbled across this place whilst walking down Stoke Newington High Street. Quite subtle from the outside, but once inside it's got great atmosphere and amazing food!! We tried the burrata, a few other sharing starters and then a main each. Both of which were absolutely fantastic with lovely wines. What a gem!

Delish! The food was very, very good. The service was attentive and friendly without being obtrusive and the decor is high ed for Stokey, it feels like a special meal, a real treat. We had a table for 6 people, 2 courses including wine and service for under £240, a bargain. will definitely come again. No wonder it's my (very fussy) mother's favourite.

Very welcoming staff, relaxed atmosphere with good music. LOVED our brunch food and coffee was also great. Had tiramisu with orange shavings for dessert and wasn’t disappointed. Reasonably priced, would highly recommend and will return for more! Good for group dinners or a cosy time with a friend. Thank you!

My second time here and delighted that it was open on a Monday. Service was great, friendly and it seems the slight delay (at my previous visit) in the kitchen has now been sorted. My pasta was deeply satisfying and my partner's fish delicious. Add a nice wine menu and good value- I can't recommend highly enough!

Delicious food, and solid wines. Definitely easy to rack up a bill but for a neighbourhood place to spoil yourself, it's great. Service was very friendly albeit with a few minor errors along the way. Recommend the gnocchi!

Incredible food, awesome service and the restaurant itself is impeccable (very instagrammable). I arrived on a Sunday afternoon with a lovely lady in tow and we sat by the window drinking an exquisite wine as we eagerly waited for the clock to strike 6 and food to be served. They were still creating the menu for the evening until 5.30 (as the food is seasonal) but it was a mind-blowing gastronomic delight when it arrived! Highly recommend for any occasion! Fantastic date spot!

Went here this evening for my birthday. It's the second time I've been and both times have been outstanding food. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and my girlfriend said she had the best cocktail she's ever had! Definitely going back here.

Everything we ate was fresh and terrifically tasty with flavours to blow your mind! Great service too, staff were full of knowledge, warm and friendly. I might add, I also really enjoyed the music too, rocksteady followed by some great soul. Pretty much my perfect Saturday afternoon.
