It's a lovely and peaceful place with an amazing service, food, coffee and music! We came from Brazil and this was one of our favorites places in London. Hope to come back soon! ;)
Beautiful place to relax on a summer morning. Food excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Love it.
What an amazing find! An incredible venue which if you thought it is going to be cold will be pleasantly surprised as warm and snug. A wood burning stove was there but not on when we visited. I wasn’t going to eat anything, but am very partial to Carrot Cake and was taken by size of the cake here. It was delightfully moist and had a great after taste of cinnamon with the carrot. Looking around there were single people to family groups all enjoying the lovely atmosphere.
After yomping around Docklands streets that were my ancestor's homes this was the ideal place to rest and refuel - not far from the redeveloped Stepney Causeway that was home to the Trundle family for several generations.
Lemon polenta cake was fabulous and wonderful coffee in a little oasis that you could easily miss.
Lovely and cozy place just behind Limehouse station. You can sit for a coffee with a friend, read a book or study. Can't wait for the spring.. there is also a super nice garden. :)
Fab place very chilled friendly staff great space
Ran the first ever Co-Coa Com event here on Saturday in the Reflective Space with 11 participants and it was perfect - great space for learning in a relaxed, fun and welcoming environment. Lovely staff and fabulous food - thank you x
Excellent coffee in an interesting and different kind of place.
Beautiful peaceful place. More vegan options would be great! ✌🏼💚
Great place. Friendly with great value, great tasting food and drink.
Extremely relaxed and friendly environment. Will definitely go again.
Wow what a lovely little place, I was somewhat surprised and as I turned the corner off the main road I thought it was an abandoned area but when you walk up and find the little tent like building and walk inside it completely took me by surprise. I love it, a nice cosy little cafe. Has a kitchen and whole selection of hot and cold foods, wide selection of coffee and treats. Also pet friendly. 🥰
Yurt cafe is a lovely cafe with lots of indoor and outdoor space, definitely worth visiting when in the area. Both the cakes I tried and the eggs on toast were delicious and the coffee was great! The weather was nice so we sat outside in their spacious courtyard. Lovely staff and vibe. Highly recommended!
🎪 Postapocalyptic vibes in a yurt filled with art and surrounded by a dusty part-industrial area next to the train tracks. How can this be cosy?, you ask.
It can!
Come and check.
Get a coffee, bring a laptop, feel like a real digital nomad. For those who wonder: no horse milk is served. 🐎
This is a treasure of a place, great place to sit and just be.
The food is outstanding, obviously the kitchen is small so menu a bit limited but you can’t go wrong here. What a great sense of community spirit, I can’t wait to attend one of their many events!
Nice quiet retreat where you don't feel rushed to leave.
Good food choices and seating arrangements.
An amazing hub and all the years I've known the area this was hidden to me for a long time until I discovered it, many events for all and great atmosphere.
It also has a pay forward board, which shows how kind hearted the community is.
Fabulous local cafe with great selection of food and drink at great prices.
The Yurt Cafe is one of these little gems hidden in plain sight, a place you look forward to revisiting for different reasons:
- because you noticed something on the menu that you'll try next time since you can't try everything all at once.
- because you know that through different seasons the vibe will be just as inclusive and welcoming but with an exciting new twists each time.
- because FOOD!
Ok let's unpack this last part: we decided to try the brunches, vegan for me and meat for the other half. Mine came with smashed avocado and the other half got bacon. Both had a tasty bubble and squeak portion and both types of sausages very super tasty. The sourdough bread was *chef kiss* and neither of us walked away feeling hungry or disappointed!
Take from that review what you need: but my parting advice is to urge you to try it, this place is a hidden little gem with freshly cooked food, locally sourced cakes, an inclusive and respectful ethos and great service!
I held our office summer party here and everything was fantastic, exceeded expectations even. The staff were so friendly and helpful from start to finish. Helping me with the setup and throughout the evening. The venue itself is just great, everyone loved it.
Love love this place! Amazing find! I love the concept of a cafe in the Yurt, it was cozy and homely. Food is SO SO reasonably priced I couldn’t believe my eyes! Mains were £4-6/7 pounds and I thought they’d be small so we ordered 4 but they recommended us not to. Turns out each dish was quite hearty and of a good portion. Food is not exactly authentic but it’s not what they are trying to do and it was delicious! Flavourful and filling. I liked their shashuka. Their yurt beans was also commendable. Coffee was pretty good as well and again very reasonably priced. Would definitely go again!
