Wahaca is a chained Mexican themed restaurant dotted around London. I have been here a few times and I am never disappointed.
This time I came with the work crew and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I had the Mushroom Enchilada and it was scrumptious. Very flavoursome and a very generous portion. My work colleagues also were very complimentary. We also had the corn on the cob and every bite was lovely. I would give it a 5/5 but the service can be a tad slow due to the sheer number of people that come here for lunch. A big thumbs up on the food though!!

Authentic Mexican food also available in a lot of vegetarian options! A good, hearty meal will keep you feeling light even afterwards. The ingredients were fresh and the staff super friendly
Been there twice, once my manager took me and other time with family. Staff is very courteous and look upto your needs and suggest a good meal. Only place in London where I could explore exotic vegetarian options. Very comfortable atmosphere and theme. Food is scrumptious and even though portion looks small but they are filling. Recommend to all.
The day before the article on Wahaca branches released I had dinner at wahaca and really enjoyed it. Happy to state that the group i was with also enjoyed the meal and we were all fine thereafter. Ordered the prawn tortillas (good), salmon (delicious) and numerous vegetarian dishes as well. The tapas are easy to share and a great way to try a variety of options. Everything tasted great and service was also good. Ambience was nice and colorful.
Nice place, friendly staff, good food. We were a group of six and we ordered a variety of things, the menu has explanations under every entry to help out the uninitiated like me make the right choice. Alcohol is a bit pricey.
Decent place.. tried taquitos with sweet potatos and feta and Mexican city style chicken enchiladas and it was very good.. service is also good...
A-MA-ZING!!! It was great that our waiter explained how the menu works - on the left you have the nibbles and street food sections, where dishes are smaller and it's worth ordering 2-3 of them, otherwise you'll leave hungry. I decided on taquitos with sweet potato and feta (3.95£) to die for! The special that the waiter recommended - chorizo and cheese tacos (5.50£) - loved them! And the salted caramel ice-cream - wow wow wow! I fell in love with this place and went back the next day:) (although to the one on Angel, as it was closer) Decor - nice and colourful, all tables were taken which (usually) proves the food's good. Our waiter was delightful, although I must admit that there weren't enough waiters for the amount of tables - we waited for over half an hour after we finished our food to get our plates taken and order the dessert... We could see them hustling and bustling around like crazy!) Nevertheless - definitely worth going:)

I had so much fun here! Food is amazing, lovely decoration, very good cocktails and music. Make sure you book a table in advance if you are going with a group. The only negative is that is so busy that the waiter brought to the table a couple of dishes we did not order, but it was not a big deal anyway. Do not hesitate to try some tequila shots!
Great food. I loved the pulled pork options. The atmosphere and services was great. The menu options are extensive and beer and wine options are good. I have been to other location and the standard is high in both. Highly recommend. I'd go back k again just to try the options that I missed. Next time.
Plantain tacos are a must. Reasonably priced food for lunch catch ups. Staff were very friendly. This branch looks nicer than some of the others I've been to. Quick note the nachos are not as much as it looks, we thought it was a magic trick when we got through it so quickly
Overall decent restaurant
The food menu has been updated since I went to a different branch of Wahaca a couple years ago. The food just keeps getting better. Good selection of mocktails. Food was brilliant and we had a lovely waiter.
At pretty much every Wahaca, you can expect delicious small plates of Mexican street food, good service, and an exciting ambience. This particular branch is no exception.
As always, the menu is extensive which means lots of choices of food. As its small plates, I know this can cause confusion as to how many plates is enough per person I'd recommend 3-4 small plates for one. Remember, the eating concept is sharing so you might even order 4-5 if you're with company.
I'd recommend the sweet potato and feta taquitos. Crunchy salad on the side smothered with mayo and a mellow sauce. Taquitos was crunchy which worked well against the smooth, creaminess of the mashed sweet potato inside. Slow cooked beef tacos were good, once I smothered it with the chipotle and habanero sauce that Wahaca provides at the table. Whatever you do, don't leave without savouring the chocolate brownie and salted caramel ice cream for dessert. One of the best dishes on the menu.
Service was reasonably fast (10 minutes before your first order starts arrives) and the Liverpool Street Tube train station is really close so this Wahaca is easy to travel to. Its colourful interiors with artwork low-lit setting and on-trend neon signs created an appealing ambience.
Wahaca is a solid choice if you're looking for a casual and relaxed catch-up with friends or family.
Really enjoyed our meal at Wahaca. Enjoyed the ambience but more importantly the food. We had several of the street dishes and all were tasty; in particular the Club Tacos, Smoky Bean Quesadilla, and Sweet Potato Chunks. There is lots of choice from smaller street dishes (2 or 3 per person) to larger plates. We were served by Reuban and couldn't fault the service. All the food came out hot and to keep the food as fresh as possible they come out individually when they were ready. Price seemed right for what we ordered. Will go again.
Good food, good atmosphere. Best to enjoy with group of friends. Classic margarita wasn’t strong enough although little bit too sweet
The seasonal pork carnitas tacos are out of this world good! They need to be a permanent menu item. Coming from the US where I’ve tried a lot of tacos, these are great! The chicken tinga burrito wasn’t quite as good as the tacos, but overall the best Mexican food I’ve found in London! Tacos are small, so you may have to order 2-3 plates which is pricey, but good otherwise.
Lunch time visit on a Wednesday. Restaursnt was busy...nice buzz. Beef burrito and the crispy chicken wings with just a hint of chilli...excellent portion as well. Service friendly and attentive. Good value for money.
The food in this place! Amazing, staff lovely and the portion sizes are great bearing in mind you are paying London prices! We had a proper feast!
My favourite Mexican restaurant chain. The food is always good and there's a lot of choice. We went during lunch time and even though it was rammed we still got served relatively quicky. Staff are also very friendly.
Great service and quality/price food ratio, nice atmosphere, good mexican food.
Yummy food staff were friendly and helpful.they have great range of plateof food and tapas/street food sharing plates
Delicious mexican food, friendly staff and for London I would say it was rather inexpensive
Served by Maisy excellent service great food we chose from the street food menu I am so full up toilets clean but down stairs so not wheelchair friendly
Spacious, friendly and accesible. Service is swift and it's great comfort food.
Love the food and the atmosphere here. We ordered a selection of the mini dishes and they were all full of flavour and beautifully presented. The cocktails were great as well! Service is lovely and quick making it a great place to pop into it you have a time restraint.
Like all other Wahacas, tasty mexican food at reasonable prices. I like the sharing platers, because it allows me to taste several different things. Nice and helpful staff.
