This place has a very elegant and welcoming atmosphere with some of the friendliest service I have ever received from a restaurant. I've been completely blown away by the flavors and quality of curries and tandoori that I've tried. There are excellent starters and small dish options as well. This is authentic and superior Indian cuisine, and coming from a lover of Indian food, this is some of the best I've ever tasted! I'd give this place 6 stars if I could.

One of my favourite Indian restaurants. Unfortunately I no longer live locally, but this has still always been worth a visit or ordering from when im nearby. I love spicy food and the Vindaloo here is awesome, really tasty without sacrificing flavour for heat as is so often the case. It's a bit rough round the edges but that's part of the experience I feel, and the food definately makes up for it.

We spent a splendid evening there with friends and family. Food was superb and staffs were very nice, polity and friendly. we ordered traditional dishes and all came hot and fresh and the taste was superb. We were surprised by the end of the meal, when we were treated with complementary fine quality brandy and bailey's shot and the waitress gifted rose sticks to the ladies! We would like to go back again the place, highly recommended.

This is a tiny corner of restaurant with a large personality. The staff are warm, efficient, helpful and speedy. I visited after a comedy night out and although it was near closing time it made no difference to the service provided. I have returned since on two separate occasions and the staff are still great. Food portions are not huge but neither are the prices.

Amazing curry and very quaint restaurant. Perfect for a date night or a casual night out. I highly recommend everyone to try this place, you will NOT be disappointed! Unfortunately do not live in London or I’d be eating here multiple times a week!

Really reasonably priced for brilliant food. Always really enjoy eating here. Good portions, friendly staff and very tasty. What more can you ask for? They were also great about my slightly fussy friend which is a bonus!

We stayed at the lovely Al Amin guest house for 6 nights in August 2018. The hosts were so welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we felt at home and well looked after. The breakfasts were superb every day and the staff ensured our four children had a range of tasty things to start their day! Our room was lovely and the large lounge and kitchen made it feel as though we were renting an apartment rather than staying in a hotel. Thanks to you all for making us feel so welcome!

I rarely write reviews however I felt compelled to after having such a good meal. The Resturant has a friendly relaxed atmosphere and is obviously family run, their passion for Indian dining is clear - my meal way surpassed the usual Indian experience, it was full of flavour.

First time eating here tonight. Staff were amazing, food was beautiful. They were very busy and seemed to handle everything so well. We will return for take away as well as dining in... thank you for our daughters ice cream and her rose she was so happy. Xx

Best curry I've had in a long while. Was recommended to us by a bloke in a pub, and he wasn't wrong. Tandoori mixed grill was exceptional, naan light and fluffy, and all sauces tasted fresh. To top it off, the staff were hilarious and it was a really friendly atmosphere. Never would have dropped in on the off chance - its unassuming from the outside.

Best Indian till date, I’ve tried a lot of Indian around hackney and this one tops them all. Food cooked nice and fresh and tastes great. Thank you for making it a great experience for us along with great customer service. Very happy customer!!!

Great food, and the restaurant made a valiant and successful attempt to fit 10 of us arriving there unannounced on Sunday night. The food was delicious, had a great home cooking feel to it and not over filling, quite light! Would definitely eat here again!

I've been to Al-Amin countless times as we live in the area and I just love it. It's definitely one of the best curry houses in London. The food is great (surprisingly, there are many vegan options to choose from) and the quality of the service is of the highest standard. Highly recommend it.

This place is genuinely the best atmosphere I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant - if you like chatting to other customers/the staff. The guy who runs it makes conversation between everyone. Absolutely the friendliest service I’ve ever received! Always come back. Food also is fantastic!!!

Don't go to Brick Lane, go a little up the road to this family run restaurant. Always quiet, so there's a guaranteed table and speedy service, but the steady stream of take-away deliveries out the door show how popular this place is. The decor may seem a bit dated and tired to some, but to me is traditionally charming, and leaves all the showmanship to the food. The menu has so many tempting choices, but anything on the chef's specials is very recommended. All of the starters are fresh and and the mains are as sumptuous to match. If you don't mind a chat, maitre-d is very charming, and gave us a free drink when we said the place was recommended by a friend he knew. The portions aren't as large when you take-away - but it's still very good value for money.
