Perfect pre theatre lunch. Set lunch menu represents great value. We opted for main and dessert and certainly could not complain about portion size or quality! Polite staff. Highly recommend.

Stumbled on this whilst looking for something to eat before our visit to the Lyceum Theatre to see the Lion King. Absolutely fabulous place- food was lovely and the service outstanding. Waiter was great and we even had the owner join us to check everything was ok! Highly recommend if you are needing something to eat before the theatre...keep up the good work guys and girls!

Pre booked the set menu good value, food was lovely both taste and presentation and water provided before you needed to ask. Excellent customer service...Saturday evening pre theatre but we were not rushed at all. Very pleasantly surprised to be offered full dessert menu even though we had booked the set menu. Already recommended to my sister and would definitely eat here again

Perfect combination of a laid back atmosphere and quality food in perfect quantity. Reasonable prices. I started with bruschetta and mozzarella, sea bass for main and apple pie with what was apparently home made ice cream for finish. Starter and dessert were perfect and main was very good too. Friendly and attentive staff.

Fantastic Lamb Cutlets!  they were out of this world, very tasty and with creamy mash.  Good selection of wines. Friend had the the set lunch menu which was £12.95 for 2 courses, which was outstanding value for central London.

Thanks for the tasty food :-)

Great little spot with eclectic, gaudy decor. Lovely, simple Italian food, lovely wine selections and helpful, funny staff. A good place for a pre- or post-theatre meal.

Pre Show. Good food and service, especially for the west end.

Ideal for per or post theatre

Will happily go back and highly recommend to those who want somewhere nice that does not break the bank.

Good Set Menu, I really liked the Bruschetta Starter Chicken Main, and believe it or not the ice-cream for afters was really really good.

Insane wine selection which was pleasant to see these days.

Service was good, had a fantastic waitress serve us all evening.

Will go again soon, try to sit on the ground floor we got there around 5ish.

Great food which isn't complicated but just right!

Wine list is very varied, but most of them very decent wines.

Been three times now and each time we have enjoyed our experience, needs a paint brush but otherwise a good little restaurant in the Strand.

Warmly welcomed, amazing service and deliciously fresh food, making Salieri a wonderful experience. Will be coming back again and this review is the least I can do in return for making me feel like an appreciated customer. The staff weren't aware of my special occasion nor were they asked to pull anything together for it. But they quickly realised, sent over a colourful fruity desert with sparkler and drinks on the house with a birthday song. A pleasant surprise and made me feel special. Thank you to all at Salieri and I'll see you soon.

This is a really nice little resturant situated right in the heart of London. Outside the resturant looks a bit out of place with the surrounding street, but overall looks nice with the lights and decor. Inside the decor is much the same drawing on inspiration from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. There is artworks on the walls and from what I hear there is some riske artwork in the female bathroom as well. The staff are friendly and very theareical in their work, making for dinner with a bit of comedy. The food, alas, is only ok. I would say that the cabonara I had was nice, but lacking a depth to the flavor. This was also the consensus from the group from their meals. The prices were what you would expect, but perhaps a bit too much for the quailty of the food. The wine selection is ok, but again a bit expensive for the quality. The waiter while friendly was also a bit awkard at times. I would eat here again if there was reason to, but it seems a bit like a relic from a bygone era that needs to up the standard a bit.

We had a lovely pre theatre meal at this restaurant last night, my husband had the cod and chips and I had the chicken breast with mushrooms and tomatoes. Both meals were really tasty. The staff were very friendly and attentive. My only slight disappointment was that there were only 3 choices of dessert, I went for the cheese cake and my husband had the lemon tart, both lovely but would have loved more chocolate dessert options. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant was as usual a delight, service good and the steak delicious. Downsides.... The food was not hot or even warm and at 31.95p a steak, without chips or veg was outrageous and £35 for a fairly average bottle of wine. Now I am apensioner will not be able to afford again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our eating experience here. The service and food were first class. We dined after an afternoon theatre visit. Unexpectedly a table magician attended our table. His tricks stunned us and added to our marvellous day. Definitely we’re going back!!!

Been here twice now and it's never failed to deliver great food at fantastic prices! we were very pleased with their service and portion sizes are pretty big. We had a fairly sizeable family gathering and a birthday to celebrate, they made us feel super special and rang a very hilarious bell !! No idea where the tradition comes from but it was a laugh for a Sunday evening. Would highly recommend.

Took some friends to Scalieri on Monday night, I used to eat there regularly but hadn't been for a couple years but the owner welcomed me like an old friend. The food was simply fantastic and beautifully presented, the service from the staff was perfect, attentive but not intrusive and the timing between courses was just right. Above all the price was great. This restaurant is a London institution and if you haven't been then you're missing out on one of London's great dining experiences. Can't wait to go again. Bravo!

The lunch menu is exceptionally well proceed for the quality. I can highly recommend the Mediterranean fish soup and tuna. Well presented in the heart of the Strand. It is on the corner so lots of windows and light but also privacy if you want it in the other corner of the restaurant. I will certainly return. The decor may be a bit gaudy but I've never had a bad meal here.

We loved it here my daughter and husband had prebooked for me and my husband and them for a meal on New years Eve .We arrived and were really made welcome with a complimentary sparkling wine. The meals were a good size and very enjoyable. We cannot fault the service and staff, the owner was so friendly .We would not hesitate in recommending this lovely restaurant and would definitely use again.
