Went there on a saturday evening with two friends. The restaurant looks fabulous, very stylish but cozy. The staff has been very welcoming helping us choosing and preparing for me a special vegetarian risotto. As a starter I had the aubergine which was very tasty. We tried a selection of desserts which were also very good, I loved the chocolate mousse. Definitely recommended. I will go there again very soon.
I had such a lovely dinner here with friends! The charcuterie and cheese selection my friend and I shared for starters was a good size with some of the best classics like mortadella and bresaola among with some new taste combinations (like hard cheeses with honey or truffles). The tuna I had for my main was delicious and perfectly cooked. They have a good wine list with mostly Italian wines and the waiter helped us make a choice suitable for our table, we really enjoyed it and ended up going for a second bottle.
Overall the atmosphere and service is thoughtful and warm and the food is well worth a visit! Would recommend to anyone looking for a good and authentic Italian in London! Oh and don’t forget to try their tiramisu..... 👌

You can definitely tell that the produce is bought in fresh from Italy. I am a massive fan of Italian cuisine and this place ticks all the boxes.
Do try the Linguine Il Sud and then a famous Tiramisu. Absolutely amazing!! My friend had a Costolette di Angelo which is a tender lamb with potato and she said it was pretty great.
The owners are very nice and will personally make sure you are looked after and will get you feedback on everything and make suggestions.
And the buratta! Oh, it’s just brilliant!
So this is our secret hang out spot - the food is delicious, my favourites are the burrata to start and then follow up with a sea bass, then tiramisu as a desert. Prices are absolutely sensible and if you are here at lunch time there is a special menu in place for almost half price! Owners are lively and personally greet guests and are making sure you are cozy and taken care of. Location is great - right opposite the Sanderson Hotel and minutes away from Oxford Circus. AND their Aperol Spritz is legendary! Cheers!
I had heard that this place was in the making and was lucky enough to book on the opening night! Everything was top notch, from greeting to dessert and goodbyes! I had the burrata followed by the linguini al sud, an then finished with the mousse. Everything was soooo tasty and thanks to some great guidance from Luca, I was able to wash it down with some delicious wine!! The atmosphere is crisp, fresh and stylish - highly recommend!
An exquisite lunch with impeccable service, the food, wine and staff were all fantastic. Every course was flawless, the quality of the ingredients shone through with delicately balanced flavours and beautiful presentation and service that was second to none. A hidden gem, I would give them 7 stars if I could. Highly recommended.

I went back to “il Sud” last week and I have to re-confirm that I had a lovely experience again, with really great food. This time I had the beef tagliata, that was just perfectly cooked. And for dessert I had the chocolate mousse, that I just fell in love with.
