Mostly on the expensive side of the price bracket. But you should the lamb kebabs here a try. Cool place for a beer or two to gulp down with your favourite football match on the big screen.
Great atmosphere and fantastic vegan options! Beyond Meat Burger, Vegan Tikka Bites, Loaded Fries and a Vegan Lasagne. Loved the grub and the bartender knew which beers were vegan too!
I had a blast here :) Anyone looking to experience the known British pub culture, then this is a place to be. I tried the classic Camembert Cheese baked in bread and old mount strawberry and pomegranate cider :) The bread was so gooey and cheesy that i am still relishing its taste
Great for drinks..
There's plenty of seating and standing space in this big pub just down the road from Baker Street tube station. The décor is modern and quirky, with jam jars adapted to be lamp shades and a bicycle in one corner...
Overall the services and food were really good..
Great for a drink. Decent ales. It's got more of a student crowd and they have a decent menu offering. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Nice to go during the summer.
This place is like a second home for LBS (After The Windsor Castle). Never eaten here so can't judge the food but they serve a decent selection of drinks and some good ciders/ beers. The little outdoor section is also quite nice to sit at, of course when the weather is good!
The Volunteer is a typical British Pub located in the Marylebone area and metres from Regents Park. The closest tube station is Baker Street and near the pub you can find the famous Sherlock Holmes Museum. I often go there as my university- University of Westminster is pretty close to the venue.
I have been tried the Fish & chips containg hake in cider & tarragon batter, double cooked chips and the West Country Beef Burger as a meals. The venue provides a various range of beers on tap and in bottles include brews from small local cask brewes and some very well know and familiar beers from around the world.
If you are at LBS or its posh neighbour the EBS this is probabaly one of the most popular hang out places for you located bang on the corner of Baker Street and Regents park is definitely my first choice for a pint during the day or after class... very curteous and cheerfull stafff, a good selection of ales and lager, standard pub fare nothing really stands out but good none the less.... those on a budget can go further down to road to the metropolitan bar (wetherspoons) for a cheaper pint but i must warn what u pay is what you get
Great service, a perfectly adequate menu, pretty miserable fish cakes, but a good wine selection. Nice wine, good price, and superb location, for me that's a pub WIN.
Brilliant little pub close to Regents Park. Great beers and great service, it makes all the difference! Wonderful pint of cold lager served by the lady who put the music on! Well done to you on both accounts! A good range of both cask and keg, also plenty of other things to enjoy. A genuine, delightful place.
Nice looking pub next to Baker Street for some weekend or afterwork drinks. We did not try the food. We only came for drinks and the camden helles & cider were perfect.
They offer several seating possibilities and it’s not that crowded than in the city tourist “hotspot” center. I would definitely recommend this pub :)
Came in a few weeks back and got severed by a lovely young man named Curtis. He was very polite and well mannered, amazing customer service. He acted very professional with a lovely smile on his face, so friendly. Best customer service experience I have ever received
Entering the Establishment we got approached by a friendly staff-member and she got us to a table. The overall Atmosphere was very good, the music isn't too loud but still herable, the staff is friendly and the seating was comfortable.
As a German I had to try the Schnitzel, the size of the whole serving was smaller than the servings you'd get in germany. The texture of the Schnitzel was decent and the taste was good. The fries were very good and flavorfull.
There are some good vegetarian and vegan options, the Vegan burger and the apple crumble are tasty and in good serving sizes.
The toilets are very clean and are cleary marked.
Lovely pub with a very pleasant interior. We always got served very quickly and the food was good quality.
I need to say a big thank you to the member of staff who helped protect us against someone who walked in and tried to steal a phone from our table while pretending to be a beggar, they escorted them out and then made sure we were all okay.
The best fish and chips in town! I barely could wait to come back for 5 years.
The beer selection is good, the food is excellent.
Me and my husband had a great time eating delicious food at your restaurant. The waiters and waitresses were committed especially our server Austin Hayman who made our experience so much better with his great costumer service. The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely liked that you have a very modern style. Most importantly, every food and drink on your menu tasted great!
Been going there since the start of the pandemic when they were allowing seating outside. Love the location, very convenient and very spacious both inside and outside. Service at the bar is fantastic unfortunately the reason I gave the food a three stars it takes a long time to get food if they're even 50% occupancy or greater. However as I mentioned you do get your drinks faster! Atmosphere is also great with a good mix of locals and tourism. Highly recommend you go there for lunch or for drinks if your sightseeing or attending events at Regents Park
Went earlier this week very good location while in the area to see Madame Tussauds. I ordered plant based burger and fries, very nicely prepared and presented. The barman his name Ryan recommended to us Camden Hells. Very friendly would go again
Volunteer Pub has become a great go-to location, especially for LBS students like myself. Its proximity to Regents Park adds to the charm, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing break. Whether it's a quick meet-up with friends or a leisurely evening, the ambiance is always welcoming. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, satisfying both casual get-togethers and celebratory occasions. If you're in the area and looking for a delightful experience, Volunteer Pub is definitely worth a visit!
