We had dinner at your restaurant today we are from india and Thailand food is real authentic and as tasty as in Bangkok the dinner was served by khun Yonlada she is very friendly and with smiling face she gives the service by heart we would like to come again and again
Great food, great service. Lovely place nice ambience.
Fabulous service, cocktails looked gorgeous and tasted wonderful.
Food was fantastic really enjoyed our lunch 5*
Great atmosphere, great staff and the most important part... the food was wonderful.
The food here is absolutely amazing. It’s a great fusion of Thai and Lao food. It’s probably one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to as there is so much flavour in each dish. We recommend trying the lamb skewers, jungle curry and the glass noodles. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because we had to wait 1h 45min before we got a table. You might want to make a reservation or visit when it's not busy.
Ramadan Kareem all! Hope your fasts are all going well 🙏 This year, we’re so spoilt with choices for eating out for iftar! So many restaurants are running a good iftar menu, and even though I much prefer breaking fast at home, I’m definitely keen to check out one or two. When Mango Tree invited us to check out their Ramadan Special Menu for iftar, we’re very excited about it especially when it’s a cuisine close to home for me!
Food was delicious, service was excellent. Our son has a shellfish allergy and Dawid was so knowledgeable and helpful with ordering and putting sauces on the side that were not safe for him to eat. He even brought additional sauces that were safe. Pim and Dawid made it a great dining experience. Best meal we’ve had in London!
Located in Belgravia, conveniently just a stone-throw away from Victoria underground station. Once past the nondescript doors, the decor inside is a blend of chic and functional.
Food quality is good, but we found the service to be a bit slow as it took them a while to take our orders.
For starters we ordered the seafood sharing platter that came with king prawns, scallops, and deep-fried soft-shell crabs. The scallops stood out as the finest and the most tender that I personally had ever tasted. We also shared a bowl of chicken tom kha soup, which was flavorful and appetizing (thanks to generous additions of lemongrass).
For our main course, we shared a portion of lamb shank in massaman curry, with steamed jasmine rice. I found the curry to be a tad bit too sweet, but was okay. We were quite full at the end of it.
For desserts, we shared a portion of mango with sticky rice, which just could not go wrong given its simplicity.
5/5 delightful dinner we opted for jasmine rice, per makham, prawn dumplings and chive, lamb skewers, Goong pad nor-ma && drinks worked out roughly £45 each
Attentive service
Great ambient lighting and atmosphere
“They do reasonably good food,’ said Matthew. ‘Thai. It’s not the Mango Tree, but it’s all right.'”. When a restaurant’s mentioned in a book by Queen Rowling herself, you know it’s gotta be good. And Belgravia’s Mango Tree Thai restaurant gets itself a namecheck in The Silkworm – one of J.K’s novels under the pen name of Robert Galbraith. A sister restaurant to Chi Kitchen, which I rave about, Mango Tree originated in Bangkok, and offers traditional-based yet innovative Thai tastes to its London visitors.
Had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner here. We enjoyed all our dishes, drinks and desserts. My prawn red curry was best I've ever had. And my green tea fondant was magical. Quite reasonable for Belgravia too and very attentive service. We had only booked for two hours but they were happy to let us stay on for longer.
I recently rediscovered a long-lost love of Thai food over a riotous feast of flavours at Mango Tree…. The unassuming restaurant in Belgravia has been on my list for some time now, based on more than one enthusiastic review from trusted foodie friends. Its popularity was certainly confirmed by the busyness of both the bar and the expansive dining space, with our fellow diners varying from business suits to both intimate and vivaciously large groups of friends and family.
After trying out various cuisines from around the world with my friends. We decided to give Thai cuisine a shot. I was hesitant on the fact that Thai food may not be my cup of tea and it would end up being a mediocre experience for my palate. However, we still agreed to go for Thai since we were more bothered about catching up with each other.

Mango Tree is the swankier, older sister of Chi Kitchen, set right on the back doorstep of Buckingham Palace. They've just launched a new Thai Dim Sum menu and after being super impressed with our experience at Chi Kitchen, Tom and I just had to get down there to try it out. . All the Dim Sum is made fresh in-house every morning by the restaurant's Dim Sum master (yep..that's actually a thing!?) and steamed to absolute perfection. They arrive at your table like little jewels in their very own bamboo nest and taste just incredible.
There are so many restaurants in London right now and while new ones are opening everyday, it’s actually the older, more established ones which interest me most – such as Mango Tree in Belgravia. Location wise it isn’t the greatest. It’s central, but unfortunately its on a corner and on a very busy man road, neither does it look very glamorous from the outside – but step inside and you’re transported to an oasis of food and wine. We started our journey here in the bar with a glass of Champagne, followed by a bottle of rich and tropical Condrieu to pair with our meal. The perfect match to just about the entire menu.
Mango Tree specialise in Thai food, and like their original restaurant in Bankok, they bring in foods from four main culinary regions: rich and mild dishes from the north, spicy food from the east, mild dishes influenced by the Chinese cooking style from the central region, and hot and spicy food from the south.
Having appeared on BBC1’s MasterChef and recently mentioned in chapter 10 of J.K. Rowling’s novel The Silkworm as a Thai institution in Belgravia, we knew we were in for some good grub!
We both ordered a beer to go with our meal, as we thought it would be rude not to!
We began with a palette cleaners with cucumber, onion and strawberry... sounds odd but it worked really well!
To start we opted for two vegetarian dishes so we could share them and try more food...
The first was deep-fried tofu, served with spicy peanut sauce. I've only recently started to eat Tofu and this was the nicest I've had so far; it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which went down a treat. Our second starter was fairly traditional; mixed vegetable spring rolls, deep-fried and served with sweet chilli sauce. These were scrummy too!
For mains Emma had the Thai rice noodles stir-fried with bean curd, Chinese chives, peanuts and beans sprouts in a special homemade sauce and I went for the meatier option of thai rice noodles stir-fried with corn-fed chicken, with all the same bits as Emma's but topped with Mango Tree's signature egg net...
I have to say, it was by far the best Pad Thai I've had in a very long time. I find lots of place skimp out on the chicken and the sauce isn't enough so it becomes quite dry but this was filled with chicken and perfectly saucy!
We didn't try dessert as we were so full up but the menu did look promising!
The service we had was second to none; the staff were so attentive and polite. And the band playing the soundtrack to our evening were a welcome surprise.
Have you eaten at Mango Tree? If not, why not?!

Mango tree is one of my favourite thai food restaurants, the flavours are authentic and the dishes are presented beautifully. The fishcakes are my favourite appetizer. I love the penang and red curry and the grilled seabass is really nice too. The pad thai is also really good and I love how they present it with a web made of egg over it.
I went to Mango tree for lunch with office colleagues and friends when they hosted a lunch for me and I loved the place because of the excellent service and yummy food alogwith a beautiful presentation. The food looked so very tempting when they served us. The decor of the place is also great and it gives you a fine dining experience.
Amazing Thai food! And their 50%off lunch menu makes it even better!! Good for a business lunch, date or just a catch up with friends..Great food and service A++
A restaurant that has enjoyed fame as it was once featured on BBC’s Masterchef as well as in The Silkworm, a novel by J.K. Rowling. Yes that’s right! More on that later. We started our evening off in the bar area. What a space! A modern eclectic feel with both innovative and classic cocktails, a fantastic selection of spirits, wines and beers.
A la carte menus are not to everyone's liking. The food is exquisite and magnificent. There are excellent flavours and underlying tastes. And the non-alcoholic drinks are exciting and they have a certain spark which is hard to replicate. But also the alcoholic drinks are as special. They compliment the food amazingly. Overall the west end restaurant is opulent. Don't expect supermarket prices though because this type of food is difficult to replicate.
Good, but very noisy. Better for large groups than romance.
Lovely Thai. This is one of my favourite Thai in London. The restaurant is modern, comfortable, clean & spacious. The staff are very polite, friendly... even a tad shy. They bow and smile a lot. Perhaps this is deliberate, to give you an authentic Thai service. Whatever it is, I felt welcomed and at ease.
The food is on the more interesting side, if you know what to order. Sure there are the standard Thai favourites like green curry (fragrant with the Thai basil coming through clearly), tom yam, red curry (with duck and lychee, the spice kick well balanced with coconut cream). But I was really impressed with dishes like whole fried fish with head and tail intact: good technique with moist flesh and crispy skin, not at all greasy, accompanied by a good tamarind based sweet-sour sauce. Also the steamed sea bass with 2 succulent fillets sandwiching some slices of citrus and basil, wrapped in banana leaf gets thumbs-up. Phad tai here is also above average, served aesthetically pleasing with an egg net cast over the dome of well-fried noodles, again not oily.
Desserts are also enjoyable, all well presented. Overall not cheap but a good choice if you fancy a more interesting shade of exotic. Toptable seems to have an ongoing 50% offer for this restaurant.
Meeting up with Paul and Sae again, we headed over to Mango Tree for a Thai dinner where, thanks to a confused waiter, we got an even better Toptable dining offer than we had originally booked for. Enjoying the rather moreish crackers and the delicious cocktails (non-alcoholic for me, of course!) in the stylishl
While the food was good quality, authentic Thai, I had higher hopes (Mango Tree chefs did well in Gordon Ramsay's 'Best Restaurant' first series) but service was a let-down and it didn't live up to expectations.
It's difficult to fault the food that we had, though I might chose differently next time. Big portions of fresh and authentic, well spiced Thai banqueting specialities. But you'll pay handsomely for the privilege and if not stuck in Victoria with no escape I wouldn't necessarily travel for it. The ambience, decor and tightly packed tables rule out romantic rendezvous too.
It's a great Thai restaurant, where there are thai orchids, wood carvings and bronze sculptures that will remind you of sunshine, island resorts, palm trees
Finally, after a year of diligent Top Table dining, I banked up enough points to take myself and a friend to dinner. For free. Score. I remember reading a very mixed review of Mango Tree from EuWen over at A Very Unusual Chinaman - one that was confirmed
Good Thai restaurant, very close to my office so used to go there when they had lunch offers, however the dishes are on the higher side and you end up paying atleast 50 quids for a meal with a drink per person. I would recommend green curry based dish. The quantity of rice is small keep that in mind.
Good Thai restaurant.
I've been a few times and the decor is really nice.
The food is really good but make sure you go with an offer as it's very expensive for Thai food.
I went with a 50% offer which is only for half the menu while the signature dishes are 25% off and the bill still came to over £100 for 2 people. A cocktail is £10 which where they make their money.
The platter starter is very nice to share between 2.
The duck main course was nice along with the pad Thai. Green curry is decent with lots of flavours but small sticky rice portion.
It's a place you'll only go say once a year because of the price but the food is good and you do have a good night with great staff.
Things to note, the tables are 2 hour turn-around so we were about order desert where we were over our 2 hr timeframe so they recommended to move us to the bar but that put me off having the desert in another location but they gave us complimentary coffees which was ok.
Overall, very nice restaurant which gets very busy, food is nice but very expensive even with the offer.
delicious food and fantastic choice I had the jellyfish salad and a camel steak which I loved Nice decoration great location and the staff were very helpful.
My friend and I had a limited edition wine pairings menu which included 5 wines and 5 small dishes. Wines were matched up with a particular dish to enhance flavours.
All the dishes were really flavoursome. They weren't mind blowing in my opinion, but my friend was really impressed. I especially enjoyed the spicy prawns. The wine pairings were great, a good selection of red and whites and a delicate desert wine, all matched well and were poured generously.
Before the dessert pairing my friend decided she wanted to order some additional dishes so we ordered tempura soft shell crab and tempura lobster, I really enjoyed these. The crab was served in 3 pieces, I would have preferred the crab was left whole as I think it looks more impressive but I still enjoyed it nonetheless
The dining room was very busy and service was surprisingly attentive considering the large amount of diners. I had a really fun evening, my friend did get a bit tipsy and to my amusement attempted to exit through the cloakroom. Overall a great experience, not mind blowing food but good and flavoursome with a buzzing atmosphere.
I recently tried this place and had a wonderful time here. The food was excellent and was cooked to perfection. The service was pretty efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly. This place is quite expensive but at the end you realise that it is all worth it. The ambience is great as well. I would love to visit again and would recommend it to everyone else too
I am a regular at this Thai place for quite some time and never once have I been disappointed. The ambience is great as this place is quite hygienic, classy and comfortable. There is wide range of innovative and interesting options on the menu to choose from. The service is pretty quick and efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly.
This restaurant serves excellent Thai food and if you want to try some Thai cuisines, then make sure to stop at this place. I recently went to this restaurant and totally enjoyed my time over there. The quality of food was very good and the service was also quick. The atmosphere was quite pleasing and I will definitely come back.
This particular restaurant is the one which gives you an overall decent experience. In terms of staff, I would say that it is attentive and really cordial. Waiters serve the average tasting dishes with a constant smile on their faces.
Fast and always busy, the environment at this place makes for a lively place. I would recommend this place for those going on a first date!
It is true that not everybody can eat from an a la carte menu. However, at this restaurant, the food is simply fabulous and excellent. They have some of the most brilliant flavours and the tastes are simply marvellous. The mocktails are enthralling and they have some very unique tastes and zing. The alcoholic drinks, however, are even better. They are the most amazing addition to the food. This place is one of a kind, albeit a little expensive.
This place had been in my list of restaurants to visit since a long time, and it was fulfilled just last week when I happened to visit London during a business meeting. I've been a lover of Thai food since childhood and I had one of the best Thai dining experiences of my life. I had no clue what I was missing until I visited this place last week and had the most amazing Thai food of my life.
If you have a special day where you can afford to splurge cash on some really good food with a great staff to top it up, then this is the place you need to visit. The food is extremely satisfying and delicious and also very expensive. There is one two course meal offered at only 17 pounds though. Their monthly theme events are also very interesting. The staff is quick, efficient and very attentive. Highly recommended.
If you are looking for a place to enjoy a Thai meal, then this might be a wonderful bet.Located in the middle of the city, this is a sophisticated little restaurant. The interiors have a chic and posh style to it. The serving staff too is wonderful here and very hospitable. The drinks and food both fantastic.I definitely urge people to try the Mango tree fizz which is amazing. The food too is authentic and delicious and the prices healthy for the pocket. All in all, we had a good time here.
When I was going to this place, I was very sure that I was going to come out in absolute disgust of it. I was almost ready to write a very negative review, but what does one know. I came out so pleased out of this restaurant that I was speechless for a while. The quality of the food is amazing for this city, and the Thai cuisine is as authentic as it can be here.
This restaurant is a part of chain that has been spread in many places and this one is newly opened. While we were reading our menu and deciding what to eat, we sipped on our lychee cocktail which was very nice and refreshing. The food that we ordered for ourselves was appealing and appetizing.
I already made a reservation for this place much in advance and as soon as we were seated they made us comfortably seated. The food was enticing, alluring and simply delicious. It certainly lived up to my expectations. I was only not impressed with their desserts. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
When in Thailand you must visit this place and when I say must you really must! I have not had such amazing food in a long time. Contrary to the popular belief that the food here just costs pennies, the bill was a little higher but given the taste of the food I did not mind the amount that I had to pay. Be it the flavour, the freshness or the creativity in the presentation of the food everything was just perfect. Before you visit make sure you have a look at at the deals that are being offered on the internet. You might just get a steal deal!
I do not regret reserving a table for me and my family at this place. The pricing was a little overboard but the food was excellent. It was delicious. The portions as compared to the pricing are quite small but then the taste of the food outshines it all. The service was fantastic too. Recommended.
This place left a good impression on me, I had a pretty great business dinner here. The location is very convenient and the pre set menu for our business meeting quite varied. The food on offer form all the courses were of innovative flavors and were really tasty and of quality. I think the place was quite decent.
I was here for an office party a couple of weeks ago and was really impressed by the whole experience. Though this place is pretty busy and is buzzing with people all day long, they manage to serve everyone pretty nicely and the food that they offered was both brilliantly prepared and tasted utterly delicious.
I have had the most wonderful experience at the restaurant. We had started the evening with lychee martini which was an absolute delight. The Thai beef salad was also delectable. Everything we tried on the menu was sumptuous except for prawn roll which were slightly low on flavor. The service was impeccable.
We had made a prior reservation at the restaurant but were late and the staff did not even blink an eye on accommodating us. The place was full and our service was not rushed. The service is impressive and so is the food. The food was delicious, sumptuous and savory.
The Mango tree has a very pleasant and warm atmosphere, where the waiters were very knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the red curry which was delicious. There's nothing worse than going to a restaurant and being rushed through each course. This was not the case at mango tree. The waiter left the perfect amount of time in between each course and was happy to leave him a generous tip afterwards. Really enjoyed dining in this modern, open and luxurious space. Would recommend this to anyone.
With the growing number of Thai restaurants around London we chose Mango Tree because it always looked busy, so we thought, it must be good!
Yes its a little pricey, not somewhere i would go often (i wish i could!) but if you like Thai food and you want to treat yourself then this is a lovely place to do so. The ambience is rather pleasant, and the space is modern and open plan. The food is lovely, full of flavour, and the dishes are presented beautifully.
Although the restaurant is quite spacious, the tables are place rather close together so on a busy night you really can't help listening in to others conversations, it's not the most private restaurant.
The service was great, they were attentive without being intrusive.
It seems to be quite mellow during the day but towards the evening this seems to change so i do recommend booking a table when possible.
Was here for a party and there was Thai food being served left right centre. Overall the food was excellent although it was a little bit too rich. The seafood satays were my pick of the starters while the red coconut curry was the winner as far as the mains are concerned.
If there's still room for desert you'll want to go for the baked banana it one of the most enjoyable deserts I've had in recent memory.
Drinks include beer, wine, spirits and cocktails so go crazy. It can get very busy so the atmosphere can be very lively but the staff do a good job handling the traffic.
Short journey to discover Thai flavors
There are many Thai restaurants in London, however this one is worth going since on the menu they have dishes, which goes beyond what you usually find. This is the right place to discover many Thai specialties and so what we did!
I went there with my friends (we all love Thai food). The restaurant’s decoration is trendy and the staff friendly even if sometimes a bit fast to clear the dishes (but nothing really to complain and we joked about it).
Dishes are excellent and made of quality products (the prawns size is impressive and are tasty). The price is a bit above what you would expect however on the over hands this is not a rip off.
We went there on a Saturday evening and the four of us were lucky to be accommodated. Thus, unless coming very early (before 08:00 pm) I suggest booking a table.
In conclusion when going there, maybe to avoid being disappointed, just select those dishes that you never had the chance to taste before
The food is very spicy authentic Thai. It is a really good location and there is vast variety on the menu. The food is presented in really interesting and creative ways, making the experience more a feast than just dinner. The reason for my mediocre score is that the price is a little high. Although the food looks great and tastes delicious, there are many other Thai restaurants that do similar dishes, with a little less "pezzas" but just as much flavour and a lower price. I would recommend the Mango Tree for a special occasion rather than just a meal, to justify the costs.
One to impress. Used to take my colleagues here when over from the states, and they consistently lovely. The ambience is great as well. Lovely their traditional dress. Food is great
Lovely place to eat on a Friday night with a restaurant full of people. Service was fantastic, our waiter was extremely helpful with menu selection. The sharing platter was delightful. Would recommend to anyone who loves Thai food.
The food is exceptionally high quality and interesting, with a varied menu that provides a huge amount of choice. I have visited most good Thai restaurants in London but I keep coming back to the Mango Tree time and time again. The cocktails are delicious and compliment the food. Waiters are friendly and helpful (although it can take a while to attract their attention). It's the best restaurant near Victoria Station that I've found in my three years of working in the area, and it's luxurious enough for any celebration.
I have already dined at Mango Tree quite a few times & thoroughly enjoyed the food & experienced I looked forward to experiencing a good evening with my partner and family. Staff were very welcoming & the cocktails and drinks are were fab. My group were taking advantage of the tasting menu offer which they suggested. We were given alternatives for certain courses where chicken & pork were not suitable as we don't eat non veg that much. All went well with the first 2 courses but we all found the soup was very thai style as a Indian it was bit salty for us. All of the group enjoyed the seafood course alot. And the dessert with noodle ice cream was very different as it was made with green bananas as opposed to ripe once. All in all we all enjoyed the evening alot. We were offered complimentary tea & coffee following our feedback which was pleasantly welcomed and we were honest enough with our review. All in all we had a good evening & agreed we would visit again.
Been to the Mango Tree a couple of times now with a promotional offer. The food and service is top quality and it's easy to get to, close to Victoria Station. Not really a place to go to if you want an intimate dinner as it is very loud.
It's Thai food is one of the best I've had so I would recommend this restaurant to all.
Good Thai food, service is excellent. My favourite Is papaya salad and Tom yum soup in starters. Quantity of main courses is also good. Thai green curry tops the list.
It's perfect for a special occasion dinner which will not burn a hole in your pocket. Dishes are reasonable priced. I would recommend booking through top table as there are good deals on offer.
Friendly staff and location is perfect, bang opposite Buckingham palace!!!
Well of the few Thai restaurants I have visited in London, Mango Tree in my opinion takes the accolades of being one of the best.
Located in Belgravia, the place is very contemporary and upbeat.
It has a very good seating capacity still the wait times are long and mind you it is always bustling with people. Having said that this does vouch for the popularity of the place.
The staff is very warm, welcoming and quick.
The menu does offer a good and interesting variety, they have made some good attempts with fusion dishes like chicken in Thai green/red curry served in pineapple, mouth watering isn't it? The 'Ian Pengelley' selection is very promising.
I am not too sure about the vegetarian dishes though, one of my friends had Pad Thai and complained that she has had better.
And the climax - pricey??? Ouch it does hurt your pocket as it is a bit expensive.
Overall, both the quality and the quantity of the food are promising but I would visit this place only for special occasions.
#Feasted
This restaurant has a stellar location and very agreeable decor. The food is good quality Thai, with an extensive menu. I'm sure there is something for everyone here.
Especially enjoyed the red chicken curry with brown rice. They did justice to my staple order of green vegetable stir fry. And the flowering white tea at the end was a lovely touch.
An oldie but goodie. Having dined here over the last 20 years (each & every visit to London) - this restaurant still delivers an above average experience. We dropped in over lunch & tried their set menu (excellent value @ £30 for a 3 course meal + drink) & pleased to say that authentic delicious Thai food is the mainstay of this restaurant. Everything was delicious & beautifully presented. The manager Mr Anish was professional & helpful ensuring our group were well taken care of. An overall excellent experience - we’ll be back on our next trip!
My wife has dined at Mango Tree in the past based on her previous experience I decided to give it a try.
I must say the location and atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely but the food was a massive let down. She even agreed the quality of the food wasn't the same compared to her previous visit.
Only two out of the four starters were nice which was the satay chicken skewers and prawn spring roll. Duck spring roll and the fish cakes I can only compare it to your average local Thai takeaway standard. The beef salad was nice and has a little kick to it.
Lamb shank was cooked to perfection but the gravy just didn't hit the spot for me. Lamb chops cooked exactly how we asked but all you can taste was lime...
The dessert pretty much made up for the lackluster starter and main.
Mango Tree has been a Belgravia staple and still delivers great food and attentive service.
The set menu for 4 was extremely generous and every dish was fantastic. They accommodated all our dietary requirements including a severe nut allergy.
The staff and management were excellent and patient as we were there till late.
They accidentally gave me an alcoholic cocktail instead of the mocktail I ordered hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
Absolutely the best Thai restaurant in London, with very decent environment and nice staff.
The menu is less extensive than the original store in Bangkok, but still plenty of excellent choices. Highly recommended the Mango Platter with Steak and the red curry placed in a pineapple. Thai ice tea is also a very nice choices.
Extensive menu, friendly staff, and delicious food. The food with a drink added up quick so be prepared. The portions are large and we’ll worth a share. I had soup and she had the blue crab to start. Then, for the mains, we had pad Thai and drunken noodles (mild spice).
Beautiful restaurant with food to match. Tasteful interior and even more tasty food. Very attentive waitstaff too. Highlight of the meal was prawn pad Thai - best pad Thai in London if not Europe.
Highly recommend.
This is one of the best Thai food we’ve ever had. I went here with my fiancé and friend for my birthday. o my God the food was amazing every dish was 10/10 I loved the green papaya salad. We had the luxury Thai set menu without soup. Everything was amazing even the desert and I’m not even a dessert person. The staff were very kind and amazing. Food was served quickly no long wait. We went on a quiet night but wow I am going again thats how amazing the food was!!
Amazing foods; crabs were v soft and savoury, chicken and pad thai was slightly spicier than I imagined but sweet, sweet and sour sam rod was also good but quite classic, and highly recommend the lamb curry which had v soft lamb and a unique flavour (curry)
First time Mango tree years ago Bangkok center,a shack, but food were execellent! Visited HK Element, place fancy, food not quite as original. Once again met in London, elegant place, tender service, execellent food much like BKk, shrimp chips crunchy, exceptional prawn salad, fish cake, satay, prawn rice noodle, mango fried rice, completed with great pairing rose’ …….. one best moment in London🥂🥂
Amazing food served here. Reminded us of our trip across South East Asia.
Staff were friendly and greeted us with a warm smile.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
We were humming ‘Underneath the Mango Tree’ from Dr No on our way to this restaurant expecting to be transported to a tantalising and exotic location like in the film but in a culinary sense. We weren’t disappointed. Food was excellent, service even better, perhaps the best service we’ve had in a long time (Abhiyash was an amazing server) and the ambiance on point. Best of all the entire menu was halal which is quite rare in Thai restaurants. Why not five stars? All of the excellence comes at a hefty price tag which is somewhat prohibitive - we were two people and ended up forking out £120 for starters, mains and dessert. Overall, well worth a visit!
P.S. We’ve never been too fond of duck dishes but the duck here has really renewed our faith and shown that well cooked duck goes a long way.
For a special occasion this is a great Halal Thai restaurant. The food was good as expected for the price. The mocktails were a little too expensive considering it's just juice and syrup + a few bits with no alcohol. The main reason for the 4 star was because we continuously saw 1 staff being rude and bullying another staff in front of our eyes. We heard him say "what about that don't you understand!" To another staff in a rude and patronising tone. He was also shouting at another staff. It's not nice to treat others like that in the first place and also especially in front of customers. Treat your workers well, and they will stay.
The food is so delicious. I recommend the chicken satay, black pepper beef and sweet and sour chicken! So good. The place has nice vibes. The servers are friendly.
Like the happy hour they offer. Atmosphere could be a bit my lively and service was fine.
NYE 2023 - set menu which was good value for money. Great taste all round and kore than enough food.. One vegetarian and one non-veg option. Great seating provided by Ashley (thank you ). Service was on point as were the drinks - complimentary champagne or mocktails (you choose). Portion sizes perfect and the salmon dish was very good ( think of salmon in a masala sauce - but not drowning ) .... Starters offered are essentially a platter of food (veg / non veg) which again were just right. DJ onsite from approx 0730 which at times overlapped the standard restaurant music. Great atmosphere with plenty of space and seating.... Would def recommend to anyone even if you only try it once...
Excellent Cocktails and Good food, Especially Thai curry. Staff was friendly.. In all it was a value for money. Restaurant manager Pritesh was very friendly and recommended some good food. He took really good care of our table and seen that we enjoyed our special occasion.
A fantastic restaurant serving a great selection of Thai dishes. The restaurant is larger but I would recommend booking as it can get very busy. I was given a window seat which looks out onto Grosvenor Place and it was nice to be in a peaceful restaurant whilst the busy street scene take place outside. Service was very quick and the team were all very polite and attentive. I had the chicken satays followed by the Lamb Shank massaman. Both were superb but the Lamb Shank was exceptional, a very generous portion, incredibly tender and amazing flavour. I would highly recommend Mango Tree to anyone who enjoys Thai food but wants to try something a little different
Very nice restaurant. Furniture is a little outdated and needs to be changed. Food is awesome halal Thai and so are drinks. The desserts are fantastic. However, the restaurant is very overpriced for what it is. Nice place if you love Thai food for a special occasion.
