Refreshing to find this bar in the Kings Cross area, chilled, great staff and prices are very reasonable for London, it’s a bit hidden but worth finding
Real homely place. Just passing so didn't try the food but a great selection of beer and whisky. Looks to be a tiny but atmospheric basement venue for live shows.

Homely place with good beer and music. Sitting outside is best on a summer eve.
I come here often with my nan who is 92 and the staff always make us feel very welcome . Food is good too . I would highly recommend the Harrison
We stayed here on the 29th of June as we were travelling to Cologne the following day for my husband's 50th birthday.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Many thanks to Sheila for hubby's birthday breakfast with a candle! The best cooked breakfast ever. We had dinner here the night before which was delicious!
Delicious food, great atmosphere and fantastic music...it’s got it all!
Me and my cohorts just sauntered in unannounced and was greeted warmly and catered for brilliantly for such a busy time of year . The food itself ? .Well what can I say we each ordered the house burger like the building site working grunts that we are and was amazed at the quality of what was presented to us . Loved it wholeheartedly I wish them success and a very rum new year
Great place for good beer and music. I spent a fabulous evening there and will visit The Harrison again when I'll be in London next time!
We try to come back every year. The harrison has become our home away from home. The staff is always amazing to us and I can't wait to come back in June.
Welcoming pub with great live music
Really good. Come here for both food and drinks. Have been down to the basement a couple of times for gigs and can't complain, nice venue. Great veggie selection on food which gets brownie points!
Great space, food. It looks easy enough to find on a map, but
don't be deceived; it's tucked away at the east end of Bloomsbury. The location is part of its charm. It's on a tree-lined street, and the pub itself has an open, breezy feeling. No pub kitsch. Seems to be popular with locals -- there was a twenty & thirty-something crowd the night I was there, and I think I was the only tourist around. Service was very courteous. It's advertised as a gastropub, but on the night I was there, the food was pretty basic -- very satisfying, tasty and simple, nothing fancy. I'm not complaining, just describing. It was Sunday Roast Night. All the food (and there was lots of it) was made with care. Excellent comfort food. Chicken, mashed potatoes, delicious gravy, parsnips, a meatball, a small sausage, broccoli, and carrots -- all on one plate, all very nicely done. That was Sunday Roast Night. And the last World Cup game was playing.
Very nice food, hearty portions, relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices. We both had burgers such came with tasty vintage cheddar and crispy skinny fries. Coke also came in cans which we like.
The Harrison In my search for the best burger in London, I have been fortunate to have had some pretty good experiences like the ones at Byron , Gourmet Burger Kitchen , and more recently at The Harrison with Mr Noodles and Dr G. This arduous task is prov
There's been more written about burgers than any other topic on the blogosphere. Peeps like Cheese & Biscuits who is campaigning to get In 'N' Out to open on this side of the pond and my pal, The London Foodie who is on a mission to track down the best bu
King's Cross can be a rather miserable spot to find oneself, so it feels all the more important that The Harrison is championed whenever possible. The food, as is so often the way these days, defies expectations of the term 'pub grub'. Hell, they serve a lobster risotto. Even the more standard fare is pulled off with aplomb, and the burgers are amongst the best in North London.
As an added bonus to accompany any meal, The Harrison seems to be laying increasing claim to being the best small venue in the city, and in recent months some of the most promising musicians about have served as wonderful after-dinner entertainment. A real treasure.
Often around major stations in London, you have to venture slightly further into the locale before you find a decent pub. The same can be said of Kings Cross, but if you head a short way down Grays Inn Road and turn onto Harrison Street, you'll find a cracking little pub.
You wouldn't necessarily expect the Harrison to offer such quality given it's slightly ropey location, but inside you'll find a charming, rustic setting, offering great pub food, and for great value, particularly at lunchtime.
Perfect for a workday lunch or even for some live music in the evenings, this is a great find, with a nice selection of beers too.
I came here to meet with friends for lunch. The pub location is very central and less than 10 minutes walk from King's Cross station.
As I visited on Sunday the main meal served was Sunday roast with different options for meat. There were also other vegetarian and vegan alternatives. The meal was plentiful and very tasty. The service was outstanding. It has been a while since I had a meal in a place where serving personnel was so attentive, and friendly. It was such a pleasant ambience.
Excellent pub experience for a family of foreigners. Great food and impeccable service. Kid friendly. We loved it so much that we came back the next evening. Good options also for vegetarians and gluten free.
I wish I could rate the service a 6 out of 5. We had attentive, detailed care for just the one night we were there. There’s no elevator or central air, but we were able to open the windows and provided a tan and it made the experience better. The pub had so many fun people coming in and out, and the food was nicely portioned (I couldn’t finish the three chips plate but I highly recommend sharing it).
Highly recommend! We stayed in the family room for two nights with three adults. The room was comfortable, and it was quiet at night (even on the busy weekend evenings). The breakfast that comes with the room was amazing! You can request to have it at the pub before they open or in your room - we had breakfast in the pub every morning, and it was great. They also had great vegetarian options, which was much appreciated! I definitely recommend checking out the pub for dinner or drinks or dessert or all of the above. Highly recommend everything!
I was lucky enough to visit The Harrison for what I thought would be a quick glass of wine but what quickly turned into THE BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE.
Perusing through the incredible selection of wine by the glass, I decided to settle on the house red. A modest, unassuming, medium bodied tipple bursting with a delectable medley of ethereal notes. It felt more like something one would enjoy on the enchanting cobbled backstreets of Aix-du-Provence, not a trendy folk pub in king cross. What a way to start the evening… game on!
Next, we began to tackle the labyrinth of craft ales and artisanal lagers you’re greeted with at the stunning wooden bar. The selection could perhaps be intimating to fledgling beer drinkers, but luckily, the superb and friendly bar staff were always on hand to offer their intimate subject matter expertise. We tried several beers, each incredible. The local Camden hells, named after the London borough, was a true knock out.
The food was some of the best I’ve ever eaten, it felt like a fusion of British pub classics with the subtle nods to contemporary Nordic cooking.
The music, food, drinks, staff and atmosphere were all truly mesmerising. I will be visiting London again next year and will be going out of my way to repeat the experience. Once in a lifetime.
I’ve been coming to the Harrison consistently for almost a year! It’s my local pub and it’s WONDERFUL. They host the most fantastic pub quiz every week on Mondays. I also threw my most recent birthday in their event space and it was PERFECT for a party. Their selection of beers was fantastic and they have a large range of non-alcoholic options as well, which I really appreciate.
The pub is just 7mins walk from the King’s Cross station which is very convenient for us to have a quiet but decent lunch away from the crowds at the station. It’s really recommended to have the Sunday Roast there. Most but not the least, the female boss there(Forgive me I forgot her name) is sooo nice and talkative
Group of 8 went to this pub on a Friday night. It was very busy because a party had been bookedh, but we sat downstairs where they had extra tables set up.
At first I wasn't sure about the downstairs area because it seemed a bit dim, but they turned on a couple more lights and it turned out to be perfect. We could talk and hear each other perfectly. Not too hot nor too cold.
Super approachable, friendly staff and fast service. A wonderful lady named Jane served our table and was very kind and fantastic and had great drink recommendations. Our orders ranged from plain pasta to tomato basil soup, fish and chips to burgers, chicken sandwiches to bangers and mash. No complaints from everyone, food was great.
Ordered regular sizes of plates for fish and chips and sausages and mash. Very big portions, super tasty. (Am now a fan of mushy peas!) The tomato basil soup was made fresh that day (and would have been wonderful with a grilled cheese sandwich, lol) and was super delicious.
10/10 recommend this pub. Was within easy walking distance of the hotel. Will definitely go there again the next time I'm in London!
Had a gorgeous Sunday roast the service was great and the hosts were
so welcoming even stepped out to give us directions and a really lovely chat! Would recommend and will definitely be coming back thank you!
I have eaten here a few times. It has a lovely stripped wooden floors, Lots of space around farmhouse tables and great reasonably priced food. The best thing about it is the atmosphere which is always upbeat. The staff work hard to give good service and there is sometimes really brilliant live folk music.
