Очень уютное место! Приятный персонал! Владелец часто находится в ресторане, чтобы лично встретить гостей. Кухню обязательно стоит попробовать, уверен, что Вам понравится. Very cozy place! Pleasant staff! The owner is often in the restaurant to personally meet the guests. The kitchen is definitely worth a try, I'm sure you will like it.

What a great restaurant - have been to the flagship restaurant Lima, but this was our first time at Lima Floral. Great staff ntroduced is to the nitersting menu, but we chose the £60 sharing menu with 9 dishes. The range of the first 5 small tasting plates went from vegetarian to fish and. Seared beef - these were then followed by 4 main dishes of chicken, beef, prawn with squid and artichoke. That with a fantastic dessert, and a couple of Pisco Sours, a drink I had never had, but one I intend to have again, meant we had a great lunch, and will be coming back. Recommended.

Great service, great food, a bit expensive but then everything of quality is in London!!!! Good what whatever occasion or no occasion. Every dish was lovely, well seasoned, fresh and lively ... Maybe a little stingy on octopus in my octopus dish but everything else was wonderful!

One of the best meals I’ve had in ages! Bursting with freshness and flavour and the lamb was incredibly succulent. Had the tree tomato mousse for dessert too - a bit ‘off-piste’ for me but absolutely amazing and so unexpected! Service was great. All in all, a great meal out. Thanks!

Exquisite cuisine, fair price for the quality. I have never eaten south American cuisine as refined, plus the selection of pisco is great. You can also finished the evening down at the bar, we haven't but I had a look and it looks great.

Probably only bar in London where you can actually talk to your friends while having drinks and music playing in the background. I tried a couple of different cocktails and even though they were interesting it wasn't my cup of tea. But service was good and friendly and mainly we had a chance enjoying yourself without having to shout at each other.

It was my first time trying Peruvian food, and it was not disappointment! Loved every platter in this 5 course lunch meal.

Side note: I would've rather had bigger portions since the food is not that filling!

Great experience overall

My starter was a veritable taste explosion, combining tangy flavours from the vinaigrette with the subtle sweetness of the corn. The sweet potato slices were crispier than I could ever have hoped, and my friend and I gobbled this one down with glee.

Peruvian cuisine is rated as one of the world’s finest by no less than Ferran Adria, the most innovative chef of the last 40 years, so I was excited to be invited to an exclusive tasting at Virgilio Martinez’s Lima Floral in Covent Garden, to celebrate all things Peru. We were also there to mark Lima’s brand new partnership with crees – a non-for-profit organisation working for a sustainable future in the Peruvian Amazon.

I have been looking forward to going back to Lima Floral since the first time we were there for dinner, and since I had some friends coming to town who work in the food industry, but in cities where Peruvian Food has not quite taken over in the same manner in which it has in London, I decided that Lima Floral would present a good lunch option. The food was absolutely delicious and their pork dish was one of the best things I have tried this year....sadly, service was not very good and they had one waitress for the entire restaurant at lunch...maybe an unlucky day but the food was very very good.

As I eat out a lot in the evenings I try and eat as healthily as possible during the day to balance it out. That means a banana for breakfast and greens or salad for lunch. For me, this works well and means I can indulge in the evenings without feeling guilty. However, an invite to Lima Floral for breakfast looked too good to turn down, so Lucy and I went to check out their new morning menu. Lima Floral is the sister restaurant to Michelin starred Lima, and is on Floral Street in Covent Garden. They've just launched a new breakfast menu taking inspiration from the Peruvian flavours of their main menu.We started with coffee and fresh orange juice. Both were great, and exactly what was needed that early in the morning.

Going out for a weekday breakfast is a real treat, so when LIMA Floral invited me to try their new breakfast menu I couldn't resist the temptation!. I've wanted to try LIMA and LIMA Floral for a long time now, and tasting their breakfast menu has only made me want to go back for dinner even more!. As it was near her birthday, I decided to take Frankie with me to start the celebrations early!

We went when this sister restaurant to the one-michelin star Lima had their soft opening. Beautiful decor, friendly staff and gorgeously plated food! Favourite dish: the lamb rump.
Starter: Tuna causa (tuna tartare, yellow potato, vegetable roots), Tiradito (Sea bream, green tiger’s milk, crushed giant corn), Crudo Mar (salmon, rocoto pepper, blue potato), Leche de Tigre (yellow tiger’s milk, crunchy asparagus).

Main: Chicken Chalaca (chicken breast, Andean corn, raw asparagus, wood sorrel), lamb rump (crisp blue potato, queso fresco, black quinoa, eco dry potato), Grilled Monkfish (yellow chilli pepper, courgette, green and red tiger’s milk), Hot Ceviche (sea bream, hot tiger’s milk, sweet potato, Yuyo seaweed).

Dessert: Cafe Peruano (purple potato, coffee ice cream, red kiwicha), Chirimoya (chirimoya mousse, maca root, purple potato).

LIMA Floral has just launched a new breakfast menu based on their Peruvian inspired cooking methods, and it makes an exciting addition to the Covent Garden breakfast scene.

Be warned thought: it's so good that you might not want lunch!

The Croque Senor is an absolute delight; I could have eaten this all over again! Additionally, the Eggs Benedict are a delicious twist on this classic dish.

Make sure you also enjoy the buffet breakfast of fruit, breads and yoghurt as well as trying the excellent coffee!

Service was attentive and very helpful.

When Lima took the city (and critics) by storm three years ago, it was taken as proof that Peruvian cuisine (and by extension, South American, although you don't hear many people talking about Uruguayan or Chilean cuisine for some reason) had come of age in London. Yes, we'd seen seabass ceviche and 100-ways-with-potato before but usually in the form of a street food van or humble pisco bar; this was unmistakeably, unapologetic Peruvian Fine Dining, and very impressive it all was too; sure, you paid for it, but happily, and then you went back for more. I did, anyway.

So we had the pleasure of sipping cocktails and eating a variety of PIQUEOS (sharing platters a bit like Tapas). We got to try some octopus, a Peruvian spirit and Beef Empanada too as well as some peruvian twists on some of our favourites. We only tried the Pisco Bar menu but there is also an A La Carte section that we will 100% be trying in the future.

29/5/2015 0 Comments    I have been wanting to go to Lima London in Floral Street ever since i came back from my South American adventure. For one reason or another this has been postponed, once in March and another time in April. I finally went in May and boy oh boy was it good. Ceviche was a must; with Sea Bream and avocado it was glorious. Tuna tartare and an abundance of Pisco Sours meant that the starters and the beginning of the night went by swimmingly. Fast forward past the tasty main courses of suckling pig and Lamb and with another Pisco Sours and i was already in one of my most favourite restaurants in London. If you didn't catch my drift, the summary is that I loved every moment at Lima London on Floral Street. The desert capped off an amazing evening with Chocolate Cacao and Amazonian Tomato treat and the pictures below will I hope be enough for you. GO- GO NOW! We Love Food, It's All We Eat

We don’t want to sound naive but up until a year or so ago we hadn’t tried any Peruvian food at all. All that I knew is that a friend of mine went traveling through South America and came back with tales of eating roasted guinea pig (or cuy – the more innocent sounding local name!)
And then at the Streets of Spain food festival on our eyes were opened in spectacular fashion when I tried my first little bowl of Ceviche (from Tierra Peru). I couldn’t stop raving about it and when Señor Ceviche set up permanent residency at Kingly Court, we were one of the first through the door.

But Peruvian cuisine is so much more than fresh raw fish cured in citrus juices (and guinea pig) as world-renowned Peruvian chef, Virgilio Martinez can testify. Virgilio is chef patron of Central in Lima, Peru, which is ranked #15 of the list of San Pellegrino’s 50 Best Restaurants in the World and named The San Pellegrino Best Restaurant in Latin America.
Not happy with his domination of South America, Virgilio set his sights on conquering London and opened LIMA Fitzrovia with Robert Ortiz, his longtime friend running the kitchen. After becoming the first Peruvian restaurant to be awarded a Michelin star we all knew that it wouldn’t be long till another LIMA would be launched.

And that other LIMA was LIMA Floral, we headed there to test drive their Long lunch (£30). We were very tempted to try the Andean Breakfast (£18), but it’s only available till 12.30 and we love our Sunday morning lay ins too much (especially as the clocks went forward this particular weekend).

LIMA Floral is bright and airy, being on the corner of Floral Street and Garrick Street, daylight streams in through large windows at the front and side of the restaurant. The white-painted brickwork contrasts perfectly with the cobalt blue walls and large weaved rugs hang strategically around the room. On the back wall is a huge painted feature wall of Peruvian art – whether it be traditional or contemporary I don’t know. Whatever it is, it adds a huge burst of colour.

Option two on the menu is the amazing value Long Lunch, that comes with an almost unbelievable Prosecco offer – four glasses for only £10. The lunch comes with four small plates as starters, a choice of four mains, a couple of sides each and a trio of desserts to share. Here’s a brief rundown of each colourful and incredible dish. The staff explained every dish in detail to us and were on hand to answer any annoying and stupid questions that we had.

STARTERS TO SHARE

• Sea Bream Ceviche – Choclo corn and sweet potato. The tangy Peruvian classic swimming in a lake of Tiger’s milk – enough said!

• Huancaina Beef – popcorn, coriander and cress. Sliced rare seared beef on Huancaína (wan-kay-eena) sauce made with aji amarillo peppers and sprinkled with coriander and micro cress.

• Tuna Tiradito – Rocoto, coriander and lemongrass. A variation of the classic Ceviche, cured tuna coated in a red pepper sauce. Our favourite starter by far!

• Steamed Dumplings Asian Style – Two little vegetable dumplings served with a chilli soy sauce. I found this dipping sauce too rich, but Saff adored it and wanted to take the leftovers home with us.

MAINS FOR ONE (choice of 1)

• Beef Lomo – Cassava, yellow chilli, Asian flavours. Saff went for this typical Peruvian dish, this tenderloin cut served with roasted Cassava, a South American root vegetable – fruity and robust flavours, gorgeous.

• Chicken Pachamanca – Salsa criolla, cuzco corn. My chicken pieces were marinated and topped in a mild chilli sauce served with sweet lime juice mixed with tangy red onions and curzo corn – basically a giant sweetcorn from the Andes.

Also available…

• Hot and Spicy Hake Sudado – Seaweed, tree tomato.

• Wild Mushrooms – Huancaina sauce, fresh cheese, avocado.

SIDES (all)

• Quinoa and Eco-Dried Potatoes.

• Green Kale and Vegetables.

I loved the eco-dried potatoes, although they weren’t dried the eco way or by any other means. In fact they were creamy and moist and delicious (I ate half of Saff’s portion too). Quinoa is just quinoa, well that’s my opinion but the crispy fried kale really made the seasonal vegetables something special. The menu also states Tiger’s Milk but it wasn’t till we got home that we realised that this wasn’t served up. Oh well.

DESSERTS (three to share)

• Coffee Ice Cream – delicious dense and creamy with a strong espresso flavour. Surrounded by a cacao crumble and brightly coloured meringue.

• Aguaymanto – These dried Peruvian ground cherries soaked in agave syrup really mess with your brain. They start off by looking and tasting like a giant currant untill you start chewing, then transmogrify into the flavour of fig!

• Alfajores – Another traditional and very popular South America recipe. Dulce de leche sandwiched between two delicate and crumbly round biscuits dusted with icing sugar – almost worth moving to Peru for!

To drink I went for the Prosecco Offer (4 glasses for £10). First Saff opted for a Pacifico Smoothie (£4) a refreshing blend of orange, banana, pineapple and basil. She then pulled a stroke of genius and ordered a Pisco Sour Clásico (£8), this is the best Pisco sour that we’d EVER tasted and if Grace Dent can be believed, the best in London. We really wish we had time for more but our two-hour slot was almost over, luckily there’s the Pisco Bar downstairs serving a full range of sours, cocktails and a separate food menu. Plus in the summer LIMA Floral are opening a terrace perfect for Pisco-ing the night away!

We thought we had just about enough time to try an Emoliennte (£2.50), envisaging them coming in little glasses due to the low price. These after brunch soul cleansers are apparently a powerful drink for any weather according to the menu, whatever that means. I had the Barley, lemon and pineapple, Saff had Purple Corn, Andean mint, linseed, plums and rosemary. Both were a lot bigger than we had imagined and not at all how we thought they’d taste – we actually preferred each other’s so we swapped.

We could quite happily have sat there all afternoon drinking those amazing Pisco Sours and eating this incredibly colourful and exquisite Peruvian cuisine. At such good value, we’d certainly revisit, it’s great that places like this offer such reasonable deals, making restaurants people wrongly assume are too expensive more accessible. Roll on summer, roll on drinks on the terrace!

Brunch and Long Lunch is available on Saturdays from 10:30am to 2:30pm – Sundays from 10:30am to 3:00pm. Time Limit on Table is 2 hours – Last Kitchen Order is 15 mins after above times.

To celebrate my belated birthday, one of my friends invited me to Lima Floral. Since the restaurant opened in July 2014 I heard a lot of different opinion about it and always wanted to go there. The restaurant is located near Covent Garden on Garrick Street and serves traditional Peruvian dishes. It seems that my friend has an addiction for Peruvian cuisine at the moment as I have been to Chotto Matte in February with her too. Sea bream ceviche: tiger's milk, avocado, crispy onions, cancha corn My friend started her meal with a sea bream ceviche (£10), it was very tasty and refreshing. However we thought the portion was a bit small considering it was a starter and not a bar snack.  Crudo mar : salmon, rocoto pepper, blue potato, achiote oil and crazy pea As a starter I ordered the crudo mar. I never had blue potato, or rococo pepper before so I thought for once I will be adventurous. The dish had a nice presentation...however I was a bit disappointed my potato were more purple than blue ! Regarding the taste, it was interesting but it didn't wow me. I found my friend's ceviche was a better dish. Andean suckling pig: andean corn, oiluquito potato

London, in all it’s grace and splendor, has always been missing decent breakfast/brunch place – or they’ve been hiding very well from me. It makes sense, in a way, considering that the lifestyle people have in the metropolis isn’t particularly favorable to having much time in the morning. Laid-back Melbourne, on the other hand, was bursting from the seams with them. So when I saw that Lima Floral was introducing a brunch option, I was in high hopes.

In truth, my excitement started when I realized that one of the founding partners of Lima Floral was Virgilio Martinez, whose head I recognized at the beginning of the video on the website (yes, I do have a chef-crush on him), despite it being filmed from behind. Should you be unaware of who he is, he currently heads Central in Lima, the 15 of the list of San Pellegrino’s 50 Best Restaurants in the World and the Best in the list for Latin America.

Enough of that. Onward to food, glorious food!

The brunch menu is quite straightforward: there’s only one, priced at 18£, and it includes all the items listed there. One of the great things about it is that it has a lot of variety for that price; for starters you get a scrumptious porridge that has quinoa in it (surprisingly tasty), with bits of orange peel inside, and a delicious yogurt with strawberries and that sauce which I think is eucalyptus.

Then come in the mains: suckling pig brioche bun (the tiny burgers), potato pancakes (Sweet, the ones with the berries) and egg frittatas. They were all delicious (the frittatas less so, unfortunately), and it became apparent that this was a bit too much food. Which is great, don’t take it the wrong way. If you feel stuffed and still push more food down your throat, that can only mean the restaurant is doing something good.

Desserts galore – chocolate mousse, Aguaymanto and Alfajores. Not only was the entire brunch delicious, but it was really great to be able to have something else than Eggs Benedict, Florentine or Royale. Dear Lord! Other countries have breakfasts or brunches?!? Such a shocking revelation. Really. I never expected that.

Sarcasm aside, Lima stays true to offering an amazing brunch that brings out many amazing features of the Peruvian kitchen. Highly recommended.

With perfectly medium rare seared fillet slices in a zesty broth the Beef Sudado was without a doubt the dish of the evening. At £26 this is certainly not a bargain and you won’t be particularly full either, but a winner nonetheless.

I think Lima Floral is even better than Lima. First of all, the entrance is adorable on a cute little street and the main room is more fun, larger and buzzier. They also have a downstairs area which is for no reservation walk-ins with a cute bar (where we waited for our Uber while having some mix of grappa and pisco)….

We recently found ourselves wanting a light dinner following an epic lunch at Gymkhana earlier on in the day. Trying to think of a few seafood places we were wondering around Covent Garden and popped across Lima Floral on Floral Street which opened last month and is the younger sibling of the Michelin starred Lima in Fitzrovia on Rathbone Place. The cuisine is Peruvian and not having tried ceviche before it seemed the perfect candidate for a light meal. We chanced our luck at a table in the main dining area but as expected at 8pm on a Friday night it was fully booked and heaving. Although luck would have it that they had a downstairs bar area serving piqueos, tapas sized dishes which were even better for our appetite as well as scoring a comfy booth. The menu is split between five sections, we ordered a selection from each of them to try a variety of different dishes. Lima Floral is a sister restaurant to the Peruvian restaurant Lima that opened 2 years ago and now has 1 Michelin star. I guess impressed by the success Peruvian food has had in London and by Lima’s Michelin star, the owners have opened Lima Floral. In contrast to Lima which is located in Fitzrovia, Lima Floral is in Covent Garden and my boyfriend though the building where Lima Floral was located was nicer than the Lima building. As far as inside of the restaurant goes, I have not been to Lima for a while, but I do remember Lima having more interesting traditional décor. Lima Floral is split into 2 sections, although when I went there I did not see it. Peruvian food has gripped London- all the latest go to restaurants in the Capital involve Peruvian inspired cuisine and Pisco Sours are served and sipped within their bars. This weekend we were up and at them early on Sunday morning to visit Lima Floral for a spot of Brunch- with a Peruvian twist.

Of course, I had a tasty flat white to sip on…although really, I need this on a intravenous drip to make me nice and sociable. Robin- healthy as always, had a jasmine tea.

From the menu, we chose Option 1; the Andean Breakfast (£18 p/p) It promised lots of different dishes, sweet and savoury, and in the morning I can’t really stomach anything heavy so it seemed the way to go. For an extra £15 you can have unlimited glasses of Prosecco and have a truly boozy brunch but my flat white hadn’t even kicked in yet…

Along came our first course- thick Greek yogurt with fruit and honey drizzled on top, and a warm bowl of quinoa porridge.

Greek yogurt is the best; thick and creamy, and its my favourite. I asked the waitress what was in ours and she said it was flavoured with eucalyptus. I would never have guessed this, it was so different but worked so well, especially with the sweetness of the plums, strawberries and maca root ( it tasted similar to plantain)

In comparison, the warm bowl of quinoa porridge was comforting and just how I like my porridge to be- not too sweet but certainly not lacking in flavour. This had a citrusy aftertaste and afterwards I didn’t feel bloated as ‘normal’ porridge can make me feel. In fact, who knew you could make porridge from quinoa! Not just a fancy super food addition to your salad box!

Our bowls whisked away, our next course arrived. We were given an egg and spring onion frittata and a potato pancake also drizzled in honey. The potato pancake tasted just like a regular pancake! I don’t normally eat eggs, but I had a few bites of the frittata; it was a nice savoury balance after all the sweetness from the pancake.

Then there was the brioche buns…we know how I feel about brioche. Brioche can do no wrong in my book!

Filled with suckling pig, Robin said they were different from normal pulled pork buns as the suckling pig had a bit of crunch from the crackling. Fancy!

Our final course, for dessert. There was a scoop of coffee ice cream served with a couple of alfajores- basically shortbread sandwiched with dulce de leches and dusted with lots of icing sugar- and these colourful little pips of meringue.

Having a three course brunch felt like a wonderful treat but at £18 per person, it’s a steal. I thought the flavour combinations were clever and worked well- usually brunch meals are so egg-centric (no pun intended!) and for someone like me that doesn’t eat them a lot, my options can be limited. This brunch affair was pretty fun! It was good to get a little bit of everything, sweet and savoury.

For a different spin on brunch, definitely give this place a go! Lovely, fresh and unique.

Lima Floral is tucked away on the corner of Garrick Street and Floral Street, on the spot where The Forge used to be. The space has been remodeled with whitewashed walls, but the new restaurant lacks atmosphere, even when full. The bar downstairs seemed to be empty all night yesterday.

After a very good pisco sour, I ordered the sea bream ceviche. This looked nice, but I would rate it 2 out of 5 in terms of taste. The fish was certainly good, but I think they hadn't kept it enough in its marinade, so I didn't get the right level of acidity, and it was certainly not spicy enough. I will stick with Tito's at London Bridge for the best ceviche in London so far!

My vegetarian friend went for the green causa - green cornmeal with avocado, tomatoes and yellow leche de tigre. This was good and nicely presented.

Being the carnivore that I am, I then had the beef sudado - perfectly grilled filet mignon, medium rare (really), in a quinoa and onion stew. I loved this dish and the portion was generous. I also got a Cusco corn cake to accompany this - it was surprisingly sweet.

My friend went for the root pachamanca, a large vegetable roots stew - good, but not exceptional.

For dessert, I went for the amazonian tree tomato custard topped with chocolate - this was very tasty and felt light. My friend's cafe peruano was also good.

Service was prompt and friendly, although our waitress made some mistakes (e. g. topping my sparkling water with still, removing my bread plate too early - but not my friend's) and she was unable to explain one of the ingredients of my friend's starter.

Piscos are becoming hugely popular in London and if you haven't heard of them they are yellowish brandy made in Peru and Chile. The bar at Lima Floral is the first Pisco Bar in London, I've heard of others opening up since and I think it's a trend that going to keep going!

The parade of colour started with the bread: yellow and blue corn bread was served with a cool yogurt dip.

The menu of traditional Peruvian food was created by Vigilio Martinez who is also chef patron at Central, a restaurant ranked 15 in the world, and the best in Peru.

Dishes such as this tuna nikkei ceviche contain ingredients such a rocoto peppers, a plant which is native to South America. I adore Peruvian flavours which are so light and clean, and this dish also incorporates Japanese seasoning with the inclusion of ginger and soy sauce.

Had my favourite meal of 2014 here.  They've managed to translate hearty dishes into wholesome yet absolutely flavourful meals that are worthy of their own stars.

The complimentary purple corn & annatto seed bread bowl is moreish and the sea bream ceviche is a must try. Go for the beef sudado or be brave and ask for the specials and you might just get paiche with mashed plantain and cocoa crumbs. It's a party in your palate. Dessert's hit and miss but the passionfruit yoghurt is very refreshing.

The Pisco bar downstairs serves pretty decent drinks, but can be fairly quiet.

The menu looked great and we mostly went with recommendations from our wonderful Ecuadorian waiter Hector. We went with sea bream ceviche to start, which was big, meaty chunks of firm white fish, sitting in a bowl of tiger’s milk with avocado and fine, crispy red onion hoops on top. Tiger’s milk, or leche de tigre is the Peruvian term for the marinade used to cure the raw fish and create the ceviche dish, and is normally made from lime juice, chillies, sliced onion and some of the juice from the fish. We were reliably informed by Hector that in Peru they drink it to cure hangovers, have it a LOT spicier, and this version had been toned down for the UK palette. Made me want it hotter to be honest, but probably wise not to go there – I’ve learned not to argue with South Americans about tolerance for heat, or ever try and get into a competition over it.  Anyway, it was so good I had to force myself not to drink the end bit from the bowl, and instead made do with rapidly scooping it into my mouth with the tiny spoon, like a desperate, hungry borrower. Our other starter was a plate of tuna Nikkei – raw tuna, another dribble of the leche de tigre, samphire and little shavings of radish – a beautiful dish that was delicate but still packed a punch with the marinade. Small portions, a tenner each but perfect starters. We balanced out the fishy first course with meat – rare, tender, juicy meat with all manner of delicious accompaniments. Beef sudado (main photo) was pieces of pink beef with a salty, herby quinoa stew, while the organic lamb rump was served rare again, and with a fresh minty yoghurt and fried potato strips. It also came with small cubes of potato in a cheesy sauce and perfectly seasoned, nutty black quinoa – all incredibly good. The house Spanish Grenache was light and fruity, great with the spicy fish and robust enough to still be tasty with lamb and beef.  A huge fan of sour cocktails, I meant to sample their pisco sours but totally forgot – obviously the wine was good enough to erase this intention from my contented little mind.Lima was the ideal spot for a non-festive festive dinner: food is  delicious without being rich and heavy, staff are a delight and it doesn’t break the bank (although at £50 a head it’s probably not an everyday place).  I’m not surprised it’s big brother in Rathbone Place has a Michelin star, and while Floral Street is billed as an evolution rather than a copy (read cheaper and more casual) the standard is still impeccable.

Having never tried Peruvian cuisine, I was very curious to try out Lima floral. In short, I really enjoyed the experience and found the food very easy on the palate. It's fun to go somewhere which is new and fun, and allows you to discover a new cuisine. I think for those of you who haven't tried it before, should definitely consider it. We had the ceviche and the chicken main which was delicious. The only thing to be aware of is that for the prices, the portions are fairly small. However, it was still worth the experience and would recommend this restaurant.

We visited this place recently for an early dinner and had a wonderful time. To begin with, the decor if the restaurant is appealing and interiors are enticing. Coming to service, staff is efficient and amicable. Their dishes are well cooked and some have a good twist! Flavors are uplifting ! Do visit!

This place serves interesting and delicious food. The starters were unusual and high on flavors. Mains were delectable and generous in portion size. Desserts were really interesting and unusual. This place is not very reasonable on your pocket but worth at least a visit. Highly recommend it to every one!

If you are planning to try Peruvian food then this is one place then you can begin with. The staff is courteous enough to point out which dishes to order that can match your taste and preferences. You can try eating lamb which was cooked by added tiger's milk and it definitely imparted a great flavour to the dish.

I recently tried the place and had a great time here. the food was delicious and was cooked to perfection. The service was pretty quick and efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly. There was a wide range of options in the menu to choose from and most of them were pretty delicious. Thus, I would love to visit this place again and would recommend it to others as well.

All i can say about this restaurant is it will satiate you! It does not have any over the top cuisine or an average one either. It is delighting and exactly something you would want. We had the pis co sour soup, a perfectly made cocktail and succulent beef starter! Do try!

My only disappointment with this place is the price that they are charging for the minimal quantity of food that they give. Even wine is served in glasses smaller than the usual. I found the tapas delicious and I must admit that these are one of the those that had rarely tasted. Worth a try!

To begin with this place has such an interesting and attractive entrance to entice you into this place. The place is tucked into a really adorable street leading you to a very bustling, vibrant and large peppy room. The place has an area downstairs which is a no reservation and walk ins. We had melange of grappa and pisco here.

Given the fact that the sister restaurant of this particular establishment was just awarded a Michelin star, the owners have opened this second edition of the restaurant on similar lines. The look of this place is a little more informal and casual and it also hosts a bar that serves dishes of the Tapas variety, I admire the style and look of this Peruvian restaurant.

This is a sister branch of a restaurant that opened a couple of years ago, and it has been awarded an appreciation award pretty recently. I am of the opinion that the success of this place has encouraged them to open this place in a central location of the city and really tap into the city crowd.

After a thorough assessment we finally planned to visit this restaurant and it was an amazing experience altogether. The food was excellent. They managed to have maintained their authenticity. The pricing that has been done is very reasonable and pocket friendly. If you happen to be a person who loves a quite, serene and relaxing place which does not get chaotic then this is definitely a place for you. One advice: Get your bookings done before visiting this place because this plate is definitely for you. Thoroughly recommended.

Lima Floral is the second instalment to be opened by the Lima team, after the success of their first Michelin starred eatery; Lima Fitzrovia. I’m yet to dine at the original, but after all the hype on my Twitter feed when Floral opened its doors; I knew it was time to get my blazer and brogues down there, quick sharp. The contemporary style, Peruvian cuisine has been well received and I was looking forward to ticking this off my hit list.

As I sat waiting for my friend to arrive I looked over the menu trying to figure out what some of the items were. My phones internet-connection was rubbish so, unable to Google, I decided on a drink instead! The El Senor De Sipan was a lovely, sweet drink with beautiful Pisco Foam on top. Once my friend had arrived some brightly coloured bread was put on the table with a Peruvian Yoghurt. I’d never seen bread this colourful before and it tasted great!

After a long decision process, we finally chose from the menu, with me changing my mind as I ordered. The Sea Bream Ceviche with its chunks of raw meat, bright green avocado and crispy onion sprouting out looked almost alien-like. There was a subtle sharpness from the limes with the avocado balancing this out and the crispy onions adding texture. The Butterfish Tiradito was my friend’s starter. A beautiful looking plate with slithers of butterfish swimming in a sea of yellow and it was gorgeous. I was a bit gutted that I hadn’t ordered it, but I wasn’t going to let this come between us (this time...). For Mains I had the Grilled Monkfish and my friend had the Organic Chicken Chalaca. My dish was served, strips of courgette covering the perfectly cooked monkfish sitting in a fragrant broth. Good sized chunks of fish and the lightly spiced broth was a great combination. The chicken looked just as good, not over cooked and had a nice amount of heat to it.

Amazonian Tomato Tree was my dessert, which I later found out was a fruit and not an actual tree with tomatoes on it. A lovely layer of chocolate with some form of biscuit sticking out the top and when dipped in to, uncovered an orangey/yellow, what I can only explain as curd. With a spoonful of all components the dish was sublime and rounded off the meal nicely. My friend opted for the Chocolate, a gorgeous and not too rich mousse with oat and wood sorrel covering the top and was divine!

Service was great here and the waiting team were very enthusiastic when explaining each dish. What I love about this place is the bright colours. Not just in the décor of the place but the food too. Although my pictures only seem to show colours of brown, yellow, green and purple (this isn’t a reflection of our personality –honest), some dishes just looked amazing.

Had dinner 2 weeks ago in Lima Garrick Street and place was PACKED, we  asked the waiter to surprise us (great when  you speak their language) and let them order with condition that Ceviche was one of the choices. WHAT an experience. Our taste buds were literally dancing. I have had Ceviche before, but this was legendary and the presentation was mind blowing. The execution of the rarest lamb steaks was superb. The Pisco Sour is probably the best in the UK..i kid you not, this could be bottled and sold in gallons!! beg, steal but GET A TABLE. Awesone place with amazing service and incredible cuisine. Keep going Lima.

I've not yet been to the original Lima but after visiting Lima Floral at the weekend I definitely want to check out the other one too.  Food was devine.  Recommend going with a couple of friends so you can pick and share.  Difficult to choose what to eat as it all sounded quite intriguing.  We were a group of 4 there around lunchtime.  To economise slightly we opted for set lunch menu's and then broke any semblance of economising by bolstering up with extra starters.  They were too good to miss!

Jumping straight to my favourite dish, I highly recomment the Seabream Tiradito with Rocoto Pepper and Chia Seeds.  These were soaked Chia seeds that form a gel which made an interesting combination of textures.  The spicy tangy sauce complemented perfectly.  I thought of it as a Peruvian take on a new style sashimi.  Second favourite was the Sea Bream ceviche with Tiger's Milk, avocado, crispy onions and Cancha corn.  On the main side the set menu's were less exciting... luckily one of us had the audacity to order a la carte so we all tried his Beef Sudado (seared entrecote) with coriander, heritage tomatoes and white quinoa.  It was a fantastic cut of beef served very rare with some nice marbling.  Miso satisfied!

Lima Floral.. What to say about this place?
Amazing colours, flavours, textures.. Quality Peruvian cuisine with an artistic twist.. Chef Robert and his team makes this one of the London's most interesting restaurants!!

The cocktail and tapas bar downstairs is the best way how to spend and amazing dinner with friends trying small bits of all the creative dishes they invent in that small kitchen! Small kitchen but big mind!!

Ps: thumbs up for the incredible Pisco Sour!!

Lima Floral is the second restaurant after the first Lima from Virgilio Martinez opened in mid-2012.
I really enjoyed my first visit to LIma back in February, so my taste buds were definitely looking forward to this. I went during the soft launch and we were served some complimentary pisco sours whilst we perused the menu - one of my favourite cocktails, and typical of South American cuisine.

The Sea Bream Ceviche was really fresh with bright vibrant colours and nice textures. The Tuna Causa was another brightly coloured starter - The tuna was finely chopped and nicely seasoned, and the mashed yellow potato was very smooth and creamy - simple yet really tasty.

The Beef Sudado was cooked medium rare - nice, clean cuts with a lovely pink centre, served with a delicious warm bowl of quinoa. The Organic Lamb was equally as delicious and beautifully presented - I particularly liked the crispy blue potato bits.

The Suspiro Ardiente was smooth and creamy but not overly sweet, and had a nice hint of spiciness from the chilli pepper in the crispy bits.

A couple of days later, I was back...this time to try the tapas menu at the 'piqueos bar' downstairs. I ordered the Sandia cocktail which had watermelon in it and was sweet and refreshing.

The portions are generally quite small (tapas size) , so we managed to work through quite a few dishes between the two of us. One of my favourite dishes was the Scallops from the Ceviche section - nice citrus and zesty flavours and really moreish. The Sea Bream ceviche was also very good and came with nice crispy camote chips.

For dessert, we ordered the other two desserts from the menu. Having now tried the entire dessert menu, the Cafe Peruano (Purple Potato, Coffee Ice Cream, Red Kiwicha) was probably my favourite amongst them - maybe because I really love ice cream, and coffee...
The Chocolate was however also a very strong contender - rich, smooth and deliciously creamy, with a nice crumble at the top.

The dining area downstairs is more chilled out and great if you're looking for some drinks and small tapas dishes to snack on. All the tapas dishes that we were served were all very good - vibrant and exciting colours and all very moreish.

I really enjoyed both visits to Lima Floral. A much more casual setting than the first restaurant, but overall, the service, ambience and food was good, and I would gladly visit again.

Since the first openings in 2012, Peruvain cuisine has continued to grow apace in London, with a second restaurant from the Ceviche team, Andina, opening in Shoreditch, and a couple of Nikkei (Japanese-South American fusion) restaurants, Chotto Matte and Sushi Samba, adding to the mix. The latest addition is Lima Floral in Covent Garden, headed up by the same partnership as Lima Fitzrovia; Virgilio Martinez, chef patron of the renowned Central Restaurante in Peru’s capital, and Gabriel Gonzalez, a young Venezuelan entrepreneur. I arranged to go for lunch during its soft launch with Leyla (@leylalaa), Ash (@thricemedia) and Selina (@tastemauritus).

On the corner of Garrick and Floral Streets, Lima Floral is housed in the old headquarters of stained glass makers Heaton, Butler and Bayne, whose name remains carved on the front of the building. It’s a lovely space, with Gothic-arched, person-height ground floor windows pulling light into the main dining room. Inside it is simple, elegant and relaxing. Bold, petrol blue pillars contrast with the white walls, and a stunning colour-riot mural covers the back wall. Woven patterned cushions, which reminded me of the textile markets of Cusco, sit on the banquette seating.

The cocktail menu is, in my opinion, too long and complicated for the upstairs restaurant. While it might work in the casual, tapas bar downstairs, if you are eating Peruvian food, there is really only one drink to sharpen your appetite: the classic Pisco Sour. I was made this drink on my first night in Chile on my gap year by my host mum, who told me it was the country’s national drink, and I’ve loved it ever since. Sharp lime, strong Pisco (a grape brandy, that when not used to, goes straight to your head), and just enough sugar to take the edge off, all mixed with egg white until it froths. Yet Peru also claims both the spirit and the cocktail as its own invention. Interesting fact: when you cross the border from Chile to Peru one of the first signs you see reads “Welcome to Peru: Home of Pisco”. A slap in the face for travelling Chileans! Lima Floral’s version was very good, with a decent sized frothy head adding texture and a couple of drops of bitters piercing the clean white surface of the drink.

We ordered five starters and three mains between the four of us, sharing everything. Of the starters, the Sea Bream Ceviche (£10) was the unanimous favourite. Fleshy white fish soaked in tiger’s milk – a sharp mix of lime, chilli (there could have been a touch more), and plenty of salt and pepper – with beads of toasted corn, beautiful thin slivers of purple-tinged crispy onions, and creamy mashed avocado. It was light, fresh and tangy, just what we needed on a hot day. Also fantastic was the Escabeche Salad (£10), pieces of minimally cooked, almost raw, beef, drizzled in a sweet algarrobo syrup (made from carob pods) and served with crisp green salad leaves. While Dry Andean Potato (£7) didn’t sound like the most appetising dish on the menu, it turned out to be a delicious combination of an earthy warm yellow stew, topped with chunks of salty sheep’s cheese, and sprinkled with onion ashes and red shizo, a nod to the Japanese influence on Peruvian cuisine. It was also the one dish on the menu that really brought back memories of my time in Peru, specifically visiting a small village on the shores of Lake Titicaca, and being given an earthenware bowl of potato stew (along with a piece of overcooked, unnamed, meat) that had the same warm, dry earthiness to it.

Still tasty but less memorable were the Tuna Causa (£10) – tuna tartare served with a log of mashed yellow potato poked with raw root vegetables, which looked a bit like a Yule Log – and Tiradito (£9) – sea bream again, but this time with a bright, grass-green tiger’s milk made with parsley, coriander and rocoto, a type of hot pepper, and crushed giant corn.

On to the mains. Our vegetarian choice was Roasted Black Quinoa (£15), with an egg, sweet yacon reduction and apparently avocado, although we couldn’t find it. It is described on the menu as ‘chaufu’ style, Peruvian-Chinese fusion, and the dish was a clever interpretation of egg fried rice. The quinoa still had bite to it, and a wobbly egg sat comfortably in its middle. It was fine, but if I had ordered it as my only main I would have been underwhelmed. We also tried the juicy lamb rump, with both smooth, piped bright yellow potato and crispy blue potato, with queso fresco (fresh cheese) and more black quinoa (£22). However my favourite main featured, once again, sea bream: the Hot Ceviche a la Piedra (£18). Pieces of the very, very lightly cooked fish floated in a salty broth with a warm heat against the back of the throat, with chunks of sweet potato, courgette shavings and yuyo seaweed. We slurped the final mouthfuls of the liquid straight from the bowl, determined not to waste a drop!

The desserts all contained some sort of savoury ingredient in their midst, such as purple potato, beetroot, or sorrel. We sampled three out of the four on offer. The simply named Chocolate (£6) was made from Palo Blanco Peru cacao, and topped with a soil of oat and wood sorrel. It was rich, slightly bitter, and just delicious! Cafe Peruano (£6) was a creamy coffee ice cream, paired with grains of dried, slightly sweet, purple potato, and red kiwicha, another Andean grain. The most exciting of the desserts for me was Suspiro Ardiente (£6), which I *think* translates as ‘a passionate sigh’. It’s an adaptation of suspiro de limeña which is made of layers of manjar blanco, the Peruvian name for dulce du leche, and a light merengue. The ‘passion’ in Lima Floral’s version came in the form of a brittle waffer, spiked with dried hot chilli pepper, and a sprinkle of bright pink beetroot powder. The heat contrasted perfectly with the sweet creaminess of the rest of the dessert. I was indeed sighing with pleasure by the end of it!

We attended the soft launch so our bill was exceptionally reasonable (the Pisco Sours were on the house, and there was 50% off food, so we paid just £17.50 each). At full price it would have been about £45 / £50 a head. Given that the original Lima is the proud owner of a Michelin Star, and one of Lima Floral’s own will probably follow suit, at that price it would still be pretty good value. You do however pay for the quality and presentation of the food as opposed to the size. The portions are modest, and the food light, which I liked as it meant I left feeling able to get on with my day, rather than weighed down by a stomach full of carbs.

Lima Floral is described as a whole new concept, but the upstairs restaurant at least felt very similar to Lima Fitzrovia, with perhaps just a few more indigenous ingredients creeping in to the menu (many of which are now entering our supermarkets under the guise of ‘super-foods’). I get the impression that as Peruvian food was very new to London when the first opened, they played it slightly safe and this is meant to a be a bolder, more adventurous restaurant. All the dishes were beautifully presented, little works of art, with vibrant colours, tastes and textures on every single plate. I loved the variety and playfulness of it all. I will definitely go back.

First time visiting this restaurant and it was for a private work function held downstairs. Great venue with really friendly service. There were around 25 of us so we all pre-ordered from the set menu. The food came out promptly with no mistakes and nobody left waiting for a plate. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the food. His steak was delicious and well seasoned. My octopus was perfect. As a non drinker, I was surprised and pleased to see 3 mocktails on the menu. The Peruvian Malbec was fantastic. The tiramisu was to die for. My boyfriend said it’s the best he’s ever tasted, and we ate it in Rome! The food came very quickly, very well presented. Service was great if a little quick at times. We had to wait a while for the bill and asked in the end. The music and atmosphere was beautiful. They played our favourite bossa nova tracks which was wonderful. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. Thank you Flora for a wonderful experience on a special day.

Saturday, May 27th, we came at 8pm and were served by a lovely lady called Hiba. We had a salmon ceviche, a sea beam ceviche, a chaufa rice, and two baked beef empanadas. The ceviches were very fresh, the quality of the fish surprised us and as well as the acidity of the lemon, almost identical to the ones from Perù! We also really enjoyed the variation of the avocado tiger’s milk as it is very similar to a very underrated “apaltado” ceviche. The baked beef empanadas were superb, they felt like home. We had a pisco sour, and a tropical drink, the pisco was incredible and the tropical drink was so delicate and fresh. At the end, we had to treat ourselves to the best maracuyá (passion fruit) panacotta, which was just the cherry on top, surprised us with the sweetness of it, as many restaurants tend to get the maracuyá flavor too acidic. Amazing and quick service and the quality of the service! See you soon Hiba, you were so kind ! Congratulations to the chefs. We are definitely coming back soon!

Words cannot describe how DELICIOUS the food was. I went there with a friend who booked via a Time Out Voucher (Glass of Prosecco, 3 cold dishes, 3 hot dishes for 29 GBP per person). I can highly recommend this course (as long as it is available). You get a pretty amazing selection of food and various tastes. There was not one dish that wasn't impressive. We even went further and ordered a dessert (mango panacotta with raspberries) and coffee. The waiters were really friendly, polite and always paying attention to their guests. The food was amazing however they had crammed so many tables around one another it was difficult to have a normal conversation with my dinner date. We struggled to hear one another. We were a party of two and were surrounded by similar size parties or of tables of 4. There was plenty of space within the building including tables down stairs. We had booked in advanced and I expected a little better of an experience. Service was ok... Lovely friendly staff however dishes were taken away whilst we were still eating them. Which was extremely poor service etiquette. For such a great venue I expected a little more attention to detail on the service. My only other slight frustration was the poor health of their plants. Their social media shows beautiful plans however they are in poor condition and rather disheveled. The food side of things was beyond delicious and amazing I would go back but would specifically ask for a downstairs table. Great wine selection as a Soho venue it's great. I just anticipated it being far more polished as it is projected on the social media platforms. I hope improvements are implemented. Have to say the sea bream ceviche was out of this world delicious fragrant, elegant and fresh flavours. It's a must try dish. All their dishes are very pretty. I didn't like the empanadas or the plantain tarts I'm sure others would but they just went that refined. Boa bun was delicious though. I would go back and give them another chance.

Loved it! 👏👏 Wonderful flavoursome food and such a lovely atmosphere. And they are dog-friendly - dogs are welcome indoors and outside 💕 Initially we waited for a good while to order or even get some water, nearly left (perhaps, it was the time when shifts change), but I'm so glad we stayed - really enjoyed the food!! Everything was great, the cuzco corn cake that came with ribeye was a true discovery! Also they have kindly given me some Peruvian Pisco to try - I have not tried this drink before, Google said it tastes like grappa, which I'm not a fan of, so it was very helpful to try it - it's more like Blanche Armagnac, light pleasant flavour. Subsequently I tried and enjoyed their Pisco Sour, and also bought a bottle of Pisco on the way home 😄🤣 enjoying new flavours 😎 maybe will even attempt to cook the corn cake! 👩‍🍳 One thing: dessert - Tres Leches - beware it comes sitting in milk (98% sure it was cow's milk), the menu doesn't mention anything re allergies and we didn't think to ask, sort of presumed that all the leches involved are condensed or cooked through, but one of the tres milks was literally milk 😄🥛(see picture below) for me - no problem, it's just a dash, but useful to know before ordering!
