Best in be London but can be pricy
Great quality even if quite pricy. Seaweed, crispy duck, soups, sea bass, butterfly prawns all excellent.
While the price can get steep, it's true that you get what you pay for.
The quality of food is sky high as is the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant.
The staff are accommodating and happy to help with anything, such as recommendations and substitutions with the meals.
The food really is incredible and has not dropped an ounce in taste since I first came here many years ago on what is one of the best whim's I've ever had.
Very good food! But so overpriced !
£9.80 for pak choi ???? Seriously !!!!!

After a great deal of search, trying and tasting a lot of Chinese restaurants in London, I found my perfect Chinese flavour in The Good Earth. This is the most satisfactory Chinese meal that I have had.
Ensure that you have booked your table beforehand because this place is extremely popular and has a lot of people on its waiting list. A pleasant ambience which serves you aromatic Chinese dishes. Spring rolls and the lettuce wrap are a must try. The food is very aesthetically served and is perfectly warm.
If you are in search for that perfect Chinese flavour ..The Good Earth is the place you should go to.
Hi there guys,
I have been here a handful of times, and I can categorically say there are not many Chinese restaurants that even compare to the Good Earth. If you are looking for a world class restaurant, you have definitely stumbled across the right place. Admittedly the price is quite steep but you will absolutely get great value for your money.
If I had to pick one dish to recommend to you (which is difficult as they all are so good) it would have to be either the chicken sweet corn broth or the beef with black beans. The staff are all so helpful and polite and the sophisticated vibe makes the meal all the more enjoyable. You would be silly not to try this restaurant even if it is for a small lunch.
This must surely be the nicest restaurant in Mill Hill, and some of the nicest Chinese food you'll find anywhere in London. Be warned, the place is expensive. But for your money you get an extremely classy set-up, out-of-this-world attentive service, and food that will blow your mind. A particular favourite of mine is their hot and sour soup. It seriously reinvents the whole darn dish in a way you won't soon forget.
Screw Flanders.
Lovely Chinese restaurant with good service and a cozy setting. The food is good, we tried several dishes. The bbq ribs were high quality meat albeit a little under flavoured for my taste, however, I doubt most people will have any issues with it. The crispy spicy ribs were right up my alley with the dame high quality meat.
The lobster was incredibly good and of course the crispy duck was on point. Samples several other dishes including the chicken in black bean sauce, egg fried rice and all were high quality. If you like strong flavours or spices you can ask the staff for recommendations or extra condiments.
I definitely recommend you give it a try if you are in the area and looking for good Chinese food.
I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I was very young, always excited to visit! The owner always recognises my family and some of the old staff do too. Service is incredibly efficient and the staff are very sweet. The food is always always amazing and I genuinely can’t fault them on anything. The prices may be a little expensive but it’s completely worth it and the food is incredibly tasty and the portions are a very good size.
Love this place! Staff are great, very authentic Cantonese taste and this is much better than many other restaurants I have tried. The scallops may seem pricey but they are totally worth it for its size and quality. The lobsters are amazing as well, can’t wait to visit again!
The food was absolutely lovely, we went for the set menu which was probably the best for the amount you get and the money you spend. It was fairly pricey but saying that it was probably the best Chinese I've had!
The staff weren't too friendly this is the only thing that put me off. Maybe it was due to us being a large group.
A beautifully appointed well established Chinese restaurant located on the outskirts of London in Mill Hill. Parking is a bit of a problem as it is situated on the north bound carriageway of the A41 in essentially a lay-by. Beautifully appointed interior with professional hospitable attentive staff and a comprehensive menu. This is a superior restaurant so you will pay a premium, well worth it in my opinion. Three of us paid £60 each for a medley of various dishes. Thoroughly recommended
I wasn’t in awe of the food. It was okay. Chilli lamb in paper pot was nice. Was expecting a lot better for the price. Food came out within minutes of ordering which was a surprise. Great service but not sure if I would go again
Lovely restaurant internally with a Chinese contemporary modern feel. All of the food has been extremely tasty and fresh. Myself and wife have been eating here for some time and would highly recommend this Chinese restaurant!
The food here is incredible, delicious and not like so many Chinese restaurants. Definitely worth the price tag.
Wow - Absolutely stunning Chinese food - we came here for my birthday dinner and it was SENSATIONAL!
Everything from the beautiful décor to the incredibly friendly staff and the delicious dishes made my birthday celebration very special.
You have to try their Chicken satay, crispy lamb in lettuce and their famous crispy beef - it's all beyond amazing.
I've been coming to Good Earth Mill Hill for over 30 years (since I was 5yrs old) and I intend to keep eating here for the next 30yrs - special thanks to my main man Kam the friendliest restaurant manager....in the world.
10/10 best Chinese restaurant in London for me.
Great as always! The food was fantastic and the service really good. The only thing I'd say is that the tables were too close and it felt that they could be more socially distanced! Otherwise the food was delicious!!!
Excellent quality food, great size portions. Great customer service and lovely atmosphere. Definitely be back. Well worth a visit
Came with a group of friends for dinner. Food was incredible (especially the duck). The service team were on top of everything all night. Well worth a visit.
Amazing food. Had the set dinner menu and it was just divine! Will definitely come back soon
Great service too. Really recommend this place.
Best Chinese food I have tried in a long while. Worth the drive.
Great memories.
We came here for an early Mothers Day lunch. We were running a little bit late but we called and they held our table for us. The staff were so kind and accommodating of our dietary needs. And of course the food was delicious. Expensive but definitely worth it.
