Fabulous restaurant in Borough Market, food was exceptional as was the wine, from our own vineyard in Chapel Down. From the waiters to the chefs, we were looked after! Throughly recommend this place and will definitely go back.
After a bit of a frustrating start with breakfast menu's and no cocktails menu we had a super lunch.
We went for lunch to celebrate our anniversary. The food and service was excellent with a very nice atmosphere ! I thoroughly recommend it.
Hami Seehrs.
The Roast was lovely what with the view overlooking the market adds the perfect ingredient to make the whole experience a gourmet delight..
The atmosphere was great, food was good, service not as good as I was expecting. Couple next to us waited a long time for their starters, I ordered a glass of wine with my main course which never arrived but was charged for, it just..
Some of their dishes are not for the faint-hearted, but that shouldn’t dissuade you from giving each one a chance! The Instagram kudos alone should provide ample motivation for you to visit these adventurous restaurants, presented in alphabetical order
Can't fault it. I had the squid to start with, pork belly and sides for the main course and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The pork belly may have been the best I've had - it melted in the mouth and was very nicely seasoned. The table service was excellent and the waiters were very attentive. The building was also lovely.
It's ambience OMG oh my god superb superb se bi upper we find too many dishes that are superb from there menu I m big fan of them
Thanks god I visit there
You also go and enjoy allot
It's a well designed place. You can find great and fresh sea food. we ordered salmon, mash potato and some soup. Staff was good. Ambience was fine. overall worth a try.
Ah, the classic Sunday roast. Us British can’t get enough of a mountain of roast potatoes and endless jugs of gravy and I for one am one of those people. I’ve been brought up eating them every Sunday and still to this day we mostly enjoy a roast every Sunday when we’re not out and about. We missed our fix recently however and so on the next best day, a Monday of course – we found ourselves heading into one of Borough’s most famous restaurants – Roast. A British restaurant which sits above Borough Market.
Roast, located at the Borough Market’s iconic Floral Hall, is a landmark British restaurant. Dining for traditional British food isn’t really on my list but this time the occasion was the quarterly company lunch. The restaurant has a very modern and contemporary setting. At the bar side of the restaurant, you get to enjoy the view of the busy Borough Market buzzing downstairs. The bar side was quite busy when we arrived at 2pm – the bar stools were all filled and the tables were filled with diners. Luckily people from the bar table moved away after a while and we got the space. I don’t drink but they seem to have an extensive collection of wines, spirits, and liquors. Their cocktails look really nice and pretty delicate (the Apple Martini seemed to be the most popular one among the group!).
Last Minute Dinner - Overall a great casual dining experience.
Arrival
Coat check in a fairly small arrival space, but the space opens up from there. The bar area is what you see first and is separated by a separator with an open top, from the rest of the restaurant.
Food and Conversation
Spaces between tables are small, a bit more akin to casual/informal dining and the noise levels are just low enough to not interrupt your conversation but be ready to speak up.
The food matches the name perfectly and feels like a great sunday roast that's just that bit more fancy. The pork belly was a perfectly cooked roulade-style complemented by an amazing sauce.
Quality / Price
The quality/price balance isn't out of proportion, although I do think it's ever so slightly overpriced.
Will I go again? Absolutely!
I have been familiar with Roast for ages. Roast was opened by restaurant entrepreneur Iqbal Wahhab in 2005 to bring the best of British food back on the plate, literally. I dined here shortly after it opened, and found it ok but nothing more, I confess. I came back about a year ago for a morning ‘ladies who breakfast’ session with my friend Hot and Chilli, and loved it. Roast was back! So I followed up with another breakfast recently for their Big Breakfast charity morning (Roast support a number of charities with events and fundraising); finally, a week ago, I came over for an evening meal with a bunch of fellow bloggers.
3,7 would be a fairer score... Great breakfast, amazing atmosphere, but very cold staff. Some of the tables are very close together, for me a no-no in this price bracket.

To save the hassle, the Chateaubriand was ordered for the whole table as the main dish. As for starters, I’ve ordered the Asparagus and Wild Garlic Soup with Ricotta.
Was looking for a breakfast place to dine in inside Borough Market on a weekday and this is one of the places I found. It had a good ambiance, being on the second floor it had some added "view" to it since they had glass windows around them. I ordered the full English Breakfast with Toast on the side and a Latte. It was a pretty filling breakfast. I liked the toast, the sausages were yummy and the mushroom was cooked just right. I just wish my butter for my toast was a bit softer or melted because I had to eat chunks of butter on my toast.
If you decide to go for the tasting menu, including starters, main course and dessert you will not be disappointed. Enourmous portions and very well prepared food. The scotch eggs are way good.
Absolutely amazing roast! Of course, can't beat my mom's made one but definitely one of the best ones after that!
Can't wait to come back (hopefully very very soon)
When the lovely guys at Zomato asked if I’d like a voucher for Roast, Borough Market I instantly said yes. It has been on the ‘Must Eat’ list for a while, I’ve walked past it so many times and the menu always look delicious!. Taking the lift up from the centre of Borough Market, you walk out onto the reception desk already hearing the buzz from the restaurant. Walking through the bar area and past the kitchen we are led to our table next to one of the windows. It so lovely and bright in here even on a grey day.
I can't remember the last time I had a good Sunday roast. Sundays for me now consist of curries or Thai or hungover Dominos but you can't beat a nice big roast with all the trimmings. I was recently given a voucher by the lovely Sheepa at Zomato so I could go & enjoy dinner at Roast in Borough Market. They very kindly agreed to let me swap my dinner reservation for a Sunday lunch time booking so I could make the most of their three courses for £37.50 deal.
London is an amazing city and Roast aims to showcase the best of British food for all. Located in Borough market and seating over looking the market Roast dishes up. From the location to the food delivered you get the sense that it is very people orientated from the producers and farmers to the way the staff greet you early on a Saturday morning.
I went to Roast to meet a friend for breakfast. The restaurant is located within the market itself on the first floor (accessed by stairs or lift) so you can look down onto the market in action as you eat if you have a window table, of which there are plenty. It’s quite upmarket with prices to match, but if you want to treat yourself or maybe impress a business client, Roast is an excellent choice. I went for the ‘Full Borough’ which is basically what it says – everything – so you need to be hungry for this one! I’m a massive fan of black pudding and this breakfast includes Ramsay of Carluke’s Scottish black pudding – heavenly! My friend went for the Eggs Royale with Loch Etive smoked trout, instead of the usual smoked salmon. We both really enjoyed our breakfasts which were perfectly cooked and very tasty.
Really good business breakfast; food is skilfully cooked by Chef Marcus Verberne, with solid british dishes such as pork belly and sustainable Scottish salmon. Unfortunately at busy times service is a let down
Great for sunday roast. If U love your Sunday Roast then this is the place to go. I had Roast Belly of Pork with apple sauce and mash with sides of veg. Pork had a lovely thick crackling & the steamed Ginger pudding was to die for.
ROAST in Borough Market is a splendid "hidden gem" of London's Borough Market.
Situated in the former Floral Hall on stilts
above the hustle and bustle below of the costermongers and cheese purveyors
it is a great little hideaway for drinks,a business lunch or just a lunch or dinner with friends.
A very sleek but well stocked bar provides a vared and wide selection of beers, wine, cocktails and spirits.
Daily Specials feature on the menu, together with a la carte.
For the wines we were directed by a most helpful somellier tothe Barolo Patres 2006 Sansilvestro Doc
for the red.Myself being more a white win kind of chap opted for the South African Chenin Blanc 2009 Mulderbosch. The red was full bodied but mature with a pleasant fruit aftertaste. The white a none-too-dry white with quite a pleasant soft fruits tone and just slightly sweet aftertaste.
In choosing the set menu at a very reasonable £28 for 3 courses,my friend and I
chose the Haggis as the starter.
Having not had Haggis for quite a while this was superb, not too dry not too moist just nicely compact but crumbly with delicious creamy mash.
For the main a Elwy Valley Lamb Steak, together with seasonal vegetables was most enjoyable.
The Lamb was tender and delicious, without one piece of gristle and was lean and a joy to consume.
It is most pleasing that ROAST do offer a wide and varied menu with a huge amount of British,Scottish and local fayre being sourced to support the British food Industry.
For our veg choice -Curly Kale with Sunflower seeds.
For our desserts we chose from a list of about 8 choices, eventually plumping for a delicious Rhubarb Crumble, again UK sourced Rhubarb (no doubt from the West Yorkshire area-of what is known as the "Rhubarb Triangle")
for those not familiar this is the area of the County within which the Rhubarb farms are Leeds,Morley and Rothwell which forms a triangle on a map!
Staff at ROAST were attentive, thorough, pleasant and and helpful.Welcoming and politeness was the order of the day and it was superb to enjoy a fantastic lunch here.
I can also highly recommend the ROAST Lavender cocktail -It was entered into the London Cocktail Week awards last year (2010) and although I didn't sample it on the day we had lunch. It is a very pleasant and relaxing drink with Beefeater Gin as a base-alcohol to the mix!
5/5 I can certainly BOAST that ROAST offers the MOST!
Raise a glass and raise a TOAST for ROAST!
Superb service,friendly staff.

Preview. Have booked a table for Monday and am really looking forward to the whole experience. Very friendly staff so far. Looks good. Smells good and.... Well, we'll see...
Market Menu - get involved. Early dinner (before 6.30pm) at Roast meant 3 courses for £26 at their beautiful space with views above Borough Market.
Unfortunately, the toilets were dirty when I visited - looked like I was the first visitor in a while - not a good start. They do have a lovely bar area which is open all day and was a nice way to start our evening with a fancy drink.
I began with Scallops which were served with Peas and Mint dressing. It was beautifully presented and cooked perfectly however for my pallet I would have prefered a little less Pea and a little more Mint.
For my main I had the Roast suckling pig which was divine. It was served with Mash and Apple Sauce. Great crackling, wonderful gravy and meat which responded to your every touch and flaked onto your fork. It was GREAT.
To finish, I had the Bitter chocolate tart with Clotted Cream - I have a sweet tooth and have to say it was gorgeous.
The service was very good throughout - even as the place got very crowded indeed. Our server also was happy to guide us through the wines and let us sample before we made our selection - a lovely touch. The place is far from cheap - £4 for some runner beans and mint is a little cheeky in my book but overall the Market Menu offers great value. The scallop dish is normally £15 and suckling pig is normally £28! Our server also told us they do two for one breakfasts between 7am and 8am for those in the area.. if not then I suggest you give an early dinner a try - it's worth it!
Ok fare. Expensive but pleasant
My favourite restaurant in London. Different seasonal menu everytime. Located in my favourite place, Borough Market, the menu is always outstanding. Expensive but well worth it for the quality & service for a special occassion. Love Roast!
While definitely on the expensive end of the spectrum, I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Roast, and have to rank it as a close second to St John Bread and Wine for the “best roasted meat” I’ve ever enjoyed.
I really enjoyed my full Roast breakfast. If I was looking to improve, well, back bacon might have been a little more appropriate and the sausages were just a bit pale on the outside(I like mine to have a bit of a caramel crunch), though perfectly well cooked through. My black pudding was to die for though, so thank you to Ramsay of Carluke the supplier from Scotland. Feedback on the lobster eggs benedict was that the portion was just a bit small, and for a dish with a price of over £13, that seems a reasonable criticism. It looked very impressive though.
Dessert perhaps was the best course however. Here we had our first and best experience with traditional sticky toffee pudding.
Roast restaurant serves beautifully presented British roasts and traditional dishes from carefully sourced ingredients, has an extensive wine and cocktail list, great views over Borough Market in one direction or St Paul’s in another, and knowledgeable serving staff.
All in all, Roast is impressive, the enticing menu adapted to its surrondings, the incredible setting, the great design and the delicious wine list. It doesn't come cheap but you wouldn't expect it be. If the Malbec pairing menu is representative of their everyday dishes, it is cool and classy.
Remember a couple posts ago when I said I wasn't a breakfast person ? Turns out I am kind of a liar. Because, I had one of my favorite tastes of the trip well before 11 a.m. Roast is located at Borough Market , one of the most fabulous and historic open air markets in London (sadly not open during this trip). I have been to the main restaurant, which serves upscale versions of classic English dishes, made with natural and local ingredients. I can highly recommend their rich and briny potted shrimps and any dessert that includes the term 'cream'. However, there is also a little stand outside the restaurant that sells food for the girl on the go. They sell wonderful British sounding things like a 'bacon butty' (a bacon sandwich just LOADED with butter) and 'devils on horseback' (dates wrapped in bacon, served piping hot after being roasted until the date is melting and sweet as brown sugar, and the bacon is both crispy and tender-fatty. Clearly, I am a fan). But, after seeing these lovel
The tender, well-seasoned pork just melted in the mouth and was cooked with lots of fresh sage. The exemplary crackling was thick and crunchy – well worth indulging in if your teeth can handle it.
Roast is a busy and popular restaurant & bar drawing on the best of Britain’s seasonal produce and cooking traditions, set in London’s Borough Market. As an unexpected bonus, the first floor venue provides impressive views onto the market on one side and
Generally speaking, we're huge admirers of Harden's and its uncanny ability to synthesise feedback from hundreds of readers into a short 'People's Verdict' that is eerily accurate. As The Guide made its way to Roast - Iqbal Wahhab's gorgeously located Bor
The pork belly is amazing! Make sure you ask for 'tap water' and not just water as they charge £3.00 a bottle. Don't get the Monday Lamb - get the Lamb off the main menu instead. A great atmosphere with live acoustic music.
Nothing beats a home made family roast, but for those wanting to throw off the shackles and have a break from cooking, Roast is a pleasant alternative.
The decor is a lot smarter than most roast orientated outlets, but the formality and elegance doesn't take away from the general spirit of a Sunday roast. There are a number of British classics on the menu for the rest of the week, and each dish is done stylishly and in-keeping with the restaurants layout.
The staff are attentive and despite the chic interior, are as welcoming to those in casual dress as those who want to make more of an effort. Unfortunately, Roast feels fairly expensive and is not somewhere I would visit on regular occasion, but is a nice change and adds a bit more glitz to the family meal.
Not quite as good as my mum's Sunday dinner's but still very respectable. It's based in a perfect location with views of St. Paul's. If you can try and get a window seat so you can see the busy streets of the borough market. The service was very attentive and polite. We had several questions about the menu and the waiter was knowledgeable enough to help us out. The dining area was very well lit, and just a pleasant place to be. However, not sure if I'd go back simply because you do pay the price for a good roast. There are a lot cheaper places you could go for a roast.
Roast Restaurant in Borough Market is a London institution, serving up modern British dishes in an elegant setting.
The restaurant is located in the market’s very pretty Victorian Floral Hall and has great views over the bustling stalls and a glimpse of St Paul’s Cathedral on the other side.
On first impressions, Roast seemed more formal than I’d expected, with a busy front desk, live pianist and tables of suited and booted City workers – not forgetting some of the front of house staff were wearing headsets. Don’t let this put you off, however, as the atmosphere was actually very jolly and celebratory, in that quirky, quintessentially British way.
The crowd at Roast appeared to be long-time Londoners (many of them families and groups of friends) who have probably been visiting for years and there was certainly a lively, convivial atmosphere.
I started with the Seared Isle of Mull hand-dived scallops with cream potato and garlic butter (£16.25). Presented nicely in a half-shell, the plump, succulent scallops were perfectly golden brown on the outside and had a tender centre.
The accompaniments of smooth, buttery creamed potato and herby garlic butter were simple yet ever so tasty. However, I can’t help feeling that the high price for this starter may be more palatable if the scallops were served with more complex ingredients than the humble potato.
Steven tried the Gin-cured Loch Duart salmon with pickled cucumber (£12.75). The high quality smoked salmon had strong, zingy aromas of gin and was served with slices of juicy dill pickle. Like the scallops, it was a light and fresh start to the meal, in anticipation of some hearty meat.
For the main course, I tried the Roast Ripley Castle red leg partridge with creamed Brussels sprouts, wild boar bacon and chestnuts (£24.50). It was a comforting, autumnal dish and substantial enough not to need any sides.
The beautifully-roasted partridge was cut into four section, all with naturally different flavours – my favourite was the lean and tasty breast portion.
The partridge was served with lovely creamed Brussels sprouts, although only half of the sprouts were creamed while the others were simply steamed, to avoid them overpowering the dish. It was also accompanied by subtly spiced chestnuts, thick-cut bacon and an incredibly rich, meaty jus.
Steven tried the restaurant’s signature dish – Slow-roasted pork belly with mashed potatoes and Bramley apple sauce (£22.50). The tender, well-seasoned pork just melted in the mouth and was cooked with lots of fresh sage. The exemplary crackling was thick and crunchy – well worth indulging in if your teeth can handle it.
It was served with a small mound of whipped, creamy mashed potato and tangy Bramley apple sauce to give the meat an edge. It was a fantastic, satisfying dish and worthy of high praise.
For dessert, I couldn’t resist the Chocolate mousse cake with caramelised orange and Cornish clotted cream (£7.75). The incredibly decadent cake had a moist fondant-style base and was baked with a layer of velvety, rich dark chocolate mousse.
I’d expected the oranges to be warm and caramelised, but they were simply doused in a sweet syrup. The Cornish clotted cream helped round the bold chocolate flavours.
Steven ordered a classic Bramley apple and blackberry crumble (£7.50). It arrived piping hot in a cast iron dish and had a pretty light purple colour from the blackberries. The stewed fruit was juicy and delicious while the thick layer of crumble was sweet, crunchy and golden brown. The jug of smooth, creamy custard was studded with tiny vanilla seeds and finished off the dish perfectly.
To round off the meal, we enjoyed pots of excellent White Jasmine and Earl Grey tea, served with sticky caramel rice crispy bites. If you fancy something stronger, there is a tempting selection of pudding cocktails and sweet wines.
Roast Restaurant is a great choice for a special night out with friends and family, as the food and service are excellent and there are plenty of crowd-pleasing dishes.
It’s worth noting that many guests were enjoying Roast’s competitive pre and post-theatre dinners at £30 for three courses and the restaurant already had plenty of atmosphere at this early time.
Borough Market is an iconic part of London with a history spanning back many a year and made famous primarily for its variety of fresh produce whether it be dairy, seafood, vegetables or meat. Now having said this, you would therefore expect any reasonable dining institution not a chain within proximity of this market to be of a certain standard given the ingredients at your doorstep - I mean, you can't complain about access to quality here - so no pressure.
And this is where Roast comes in. Located smack bang in Borough Market, Roast has stepped up to the challenge and pressures of operating in this iconic food location and trying to do its reputation justice - and it does.
Having worked around the area for a number of years, I've had the pleasure of going to Roast a few times for breakfast, lunch and dinner so I would like to think when I say that the food is consistently good, it is a well researched view. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal there and have always left quite satisfied with the quality of the meal. Be warned however that you do pay for it as the meal isn't cheap and unlike most places, they don't offer a lunch menu so you do end up with a pricier lunch than your usual. The best value meal for me is probably breakfast where I would always suggest going for the Full English because it is very full indeed.
In terms of ambience, the place is extremely well lit as natural light streams in through their numerous windows which look down upon the bustling market beneath. That in itself is quite novel and provides a few nice photo ops.
Overall, the food there is very nice and you will leave happy (if not a bit poorer). Around Borough Market however (and for this piece I exclude the Shard which is a whole other story), you will be hard pressed to find better.

This place gets a lot of great reviews and it's perhaps just that I didn't choose very well, but I left a little underwhelmed after my Roast experience.
The interior of the room is vast and airy, white linen tablecloths and absolutely full to the brim with smart suits, no doubt from the nearby City, here for a working breakfast before hot footing it back to the office. I'm too here for a breakfast meeting and so refrain from ordering what looks like an enormous full English and instead opt for a slightly different dish of grilled kidneys on toast. The kidneys were well cooked, slightly pink in the middle but it took me a full 2 minutes to realise that there was no toast coming, it was actually hidden under the kidneys.
That was a little disappointing as I could have used a bit more toast to mop up the meats. My breakfast date went for a far more sedate granola breakfast, which looked somewhat like a grown up sundae. Much more healthy but it did look very appetising.
Next time I think I'll opt for the Full Borough.

Ever since we started working on the South Bank, we have always wanted to visit Roast. It’s been on our restaurant bucket list for so long, finally we went.
Roast is perched above the lovely Borough Market, with views of not just the bustling market and Market Porter pub, but also of the Shard and St Paul’s. Serving up British food with produce from the handily located market below. It’s owned by restaurateur Iqbal Wahhab, who founded the Cinnamon Club and who also recently took over the Indian street food restaurant Mooli’s.
White tablecloths, polished waiting staff, complete with a piano bar, this place is one for special occasions or those who have slightly bigger wallets than us. That said, the atmosphere is relaxed and as the majority of the clientele is suited (jackets and ties) we felt we stood out a bit. But we were made to feel incredibly welcome by the staff, our sommelier was so smiley and friendly she should work in PR (not that she’s doing a bad job in the wine field of course).

I really was looking forward to trying Roast as I had heard so much about it and honestly the food is great; decent portions but I have to say the menu is expensive, and overpriced. The other let down is the place you can't hear your self think its way loud. The decor is nice venue is impressive in Borough Market. I think it's a good experience but not a place I would go to again and again. Instead I would rather queue up for their lunch sandwiches outside which are value for money
A real treat of a place. The view alone is something else. Coming up here is the perfect escape form the manic market below. As soon as you step into the elevator you are transported into another world of calm relaxation. The breakfast was what I had and it set up up for the day! Otherwise the cocktails in the evening with the summer sun is sublime.
Absolutely stunning meal! The ambience, food, drinks and service was excellent. The Big Ben cocktail looked amazing and tasted great. Their chateaubriand was superb - the best I’ve had in my life! Their beef wellington and roast beef is also a must try. We ended the meal with a lovely sticky toffee pudding mousse which so delicious and wasn’t too heavy.
Beautiful looking restaurant at a great location. All the staff were super friendly and super helpful. The food was good but not worth the high price.
You can find better beef Wellington at a lower price than this place. Overall, the place felt very pricey, but the food does not live up to the price. Great place for one time visit.
I was invited to a lunch here and what a surprise. One of those places you'd never know existed - unless you knew! Had the roast beef and it was delightful. The roast potatoes were amazing and I also got try snaffle one of my colleague's chips which were equally great.
This place is amazing! Came here for the first time and loved the ambience. Very relaxing.
The staff were nice and vibrant and made us feel so welcome.
The food? Top notch and some new flavours tasted… had the scallops and oysters to start. Lush.
For the mains was the beef wellington. I’ve seen some reviews about price etc and expense….
There are cheaper mains but at the end of the day you get what you pay for… a super tasty cut of tender beef cooked by a fine team of chefs… if you are unhappy about the price… choose something else or eat elsewhere!!! Don’t give a bad review for your own preferences…
Rice pudding was GF/Vegan friendly which is a bonus and tasted LUSH.
Love this place and will be back again. Credit to the team on making this a really nice experience!
We went for a wonderful dinner here at Roast. I actually had the Sunday roast which I wouldn't order again, not because it wasn't good but because my mom makes it much better.
My sister got the pork belly which was outstanding, best ever!! It had great English style crackling, oh yumm.
The dessert I had was sticky toffee pudding. It was sublime! Literally felt my eyes roll back in my head. OMG!
This place is wonderfully located next to the Borough Market. So have fun after our before you go.
Came for breakfast, this Saturday. A lovely break from the chaos of Borough Market. It was great, a good amount of choice but not overwhelming. The service was friendly and food tasty.
We had Eggs Benedict (the eggs were such good quality - literally were orange) and tried the potato tatties which were great. And the breakfast martini was lovely.
Will definitely come back.
My family and I came for the afternoon tea and loved the experience. The teas were flavorful and each bite of the selection of finger foods carried a new and delicious experience. The chicken curry finger sandwiches and lemon meringue tart were especially liked. Our table overlooked the bustling market below, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
We had a nice Sunday lunch, however we were not really impressed. We had the sourdough bread as a starter, which was not fresh at all - it was actually pretty hard and also was served cold, which was disappointing. The beef wellington was nice, but again not amazing. The beef could use more searing, and the components were pretty loose, not sticking properly together. I really enjoyed the classic beef Sunday roast dish, I would recommend that dish to anyone. The décor felt a bit outdated. Friendly staff. Also at great location to then wander around Borough market and London bridge. We paid £115 for bread, two main dishes and two wine glasses (12.5% service charge is included when they bring you the receipt). Book in advance, especially if you want to visit on a Sunday.
Went on Father's Day, food was delicious. One server was miserable but Jimmy was amazing. She was so full of energy and really made our day :)
Come here for lunch last weekend and it is in a fantastic position overlooking Borough Market. Cocktails to start with were divine and the starters were amazing. I had the roast beef and it was good but a little chewy which was very disappointing. But I can't fault anything else. Yes it is expensive but it is a lovely place to visit
We did a Halloween themed afternoon tea here, and it was fantastic! Ambience was great, and price is fair. It's a good way to get out of the craziness that is Borough Market.
Some of the best roast potato I ever have
Food was big portion can share
The site is lovely warm with great light
The starter the grill prawn sauce was outstanding
Meat was nicely age , nice and juicy
Ingredient were great
That goat cheese cheese cake is out of this out
With wine is on mid up end &70-80 person with wine , without alcohol might be less
Waiting can have bit of love. But it is busy restaurant.
Still love it.
Wonderful afternoon tea experience here at Roast! What a great view above Borough Market! It was a joy getting to be above the hustle and bustle and enjoy a calm dining experience. The food was delicious, the tea was great with lots of options, and the service was professional. Book in advance. Highly recommend!
This place is cozy, very nice, elegant but casual, too.
The service very good, the food delicious, big portions.
My meat was tender and cooked as I wished, the yorkshire pudding was warm and soft, I liked it a lot, and it came with a lot of veggie, that for me is a plus.
