Cozy Italian restaurant at Southbank, perfect for a quick lunch or dinner (be careful with the super green salad, it’s very tasty but has spicy chilli 🌶️!). The staff is very kind and the QR payments system is very smooth. Fair price for the location
We had a lunch at busy Sunday afternoon.
Everything was lovely starting with the reception lady finishing commi waiter.
Excellent fast service.
Mains came within 10 mins, portions were huge, we couldn’t finish.
Dessert was okay, but dessert wine is the only thing we didn’t enjoy food wise.
Recommend, great spot for family groups or quick and fulfilling meals.
Me and my son came here for a quick bite and wow, we where amazed, from the drinks to the food and the service , everything was perfect. Thanks specially to David , our server, and Tiziana the bartender that made amazing cocktails . Overall 11/10 experience
Speedy service. Good fresh pasta with freshly ground parmesan cheese. Smooth sauvignon blanc. Lovely riverside view. Excellent location for concert-goers. But be aware of the 12.5% service charge. On top of that, they asked for tips which were set in their online payment system in our case at £7 (10%) by default unless you choose other options. Just don't get yourself too drunk before checking the bill.
We had a lovely meal with our server Paris. Friendly, fast and knowledgeable service about allergen diets and attentive and caring to guests with accessibility needs. Wonderful customer service and definitely deserving of a promotion. An example to her peers. Thank you!
I've never been to strada before. But it's an excellent location right on southbank. Lots of outdoor seating, shame about the rain or we could have eaten with a view of the river. The food was delicious absolutrly cannot fault it. The kids' menu is brilliant value, starter, mains, drink, and dessert for under £10! My only criticism would be that we were still eating our starters when our mains were brought and put on the table. Which left us with no room and feeling like we were being rushed, which was a shame. Other than that, it was lovely. They have facilities for you to pay at the table with a qr code so you dont have to wait for someone to come and bring your bill, which i liked.
Lovely menu, lovely staff especially Adam, he was running around taking alot of the orders, cleaning and everything, was very impressive to watch. Would 100% recommend this place, Not that pricey either.
Sat outside on a rainy evening under the umbrella which was very atmospheric. Receptionist/server named Paris was the best ever. So warm and welcoming. Very informative and nothing was too much trouble. Made our evening complete. Food was a high standard. Spaghetti bolognese for the husband and chicken and mushroom main for me.
My friend and I both agreed the pizza and drinks were great! And I loved the atmosphere of lots of people near the river. Would come back again!
Fantastic service and food quality.
We were in London to see the Lion King at the Lyceum, but we were out and about passing time until the start of the show and did the usual touristy stuff. We found ourselves at Southbank at around 6pm with the show starting at 7.30pm. Ideally, we needed to be on the Tube for 6.45pm.
We were seated promptly even though we didn’t have a booking, and our order was placed quickly. We both ordered steak after seeing another diner having one, and it looked good.
Less than 10 minutes later, the steaks were on our table, cooked perfectly! Everything was beautifully seasoned and nothing was left. We were even left with a card so we could pay at our leisure and leave without needing to wait for a server. This suited us very nicely and we actually made the Tube for 6.45pm.
Strada clearly take pride in customer satisfaction and I wouldn’t hesitate to return if I find myself in Southbank again.
Pizzas were really good and service ok. We did had to wait a little while for our Pizza, but in general it was perfect for us! Food better than expected in a tourist area.
Don’t think I’ve had such a nice meal in ages! Steak cooked to perfection (peppercorn sauce was spot on too), delicious fries and the freshest salad. We had squid for starters which was equally as yummy. Waiters were polite and attentive as well as very organised. Highly recommend and will definitely return
We very much enjoyed the flat breads, salads and pasta selections that are available here. Service was outstanding and very helpful with helping us decide on some dishes we had questions on.
The view of the river walk was very pleasing, we enjoyed the view while we ate our dinner before joining in on the stroll ourselves.
Had a lovely lunchtime meal. The food was amazing. I had the chicken and mushroom creamy pasta. Was seated outside fairly fast, but the service was very slow.
I went twice to the Strada Restaurant. First I thought it's a typical touristic trap, but it is definitely not.
The service is very polite and do it's best that you enjoy your stay. If the size of the group is >6 and you like to reserve a table outside, there are some difficulties. So you should more keep im mind, that you get a table, when it's free and upon arrive. With a big group we had no problems to sit inside, but air-condition is pretty cold - as somehow usual in London.
Now ... let's go to the most important point .. the food. :-)
We had the antipasti as a starter. In small and big size. From mozzarella cheese , olives, parma ham, salami and very garlish tomatoes. I really liked it. The only think I would do better is to serve warm Bruschetta and not cold... it really has impact to taste and consistency.
The pasta bolognese was very tasty and with the fresh parmesan, it was even better. Pasta was good anyway.
The pizza was cross, tasty and had good ingredients.
The price was okay and the taste was really good. All our friends were surprised.
Nice experience and amazing food.
Food was great and fast and service was fantastic.
Tiramisu is the best!
Highly recommend !!!
