Yuuuuuuuum! I lived in London for 3 years and Chiquito was one of my favorites Mexican restaurants. Bring me all the margaritas and fajitas. Plus all the staff was amazing and it's a really happy place to have dinner/lunch.
I have been waiting to try this place having heard great reviews.So finally manage to make it..The ambience is chilled out. Coming to the food we go for garlic tortilla and nachos. The garlic tortilla was a much awaited dish and boy it doesn't disappoint..It's like eating a lighter, crispier n better version of garlic bread.I cud jus go on eating this.The nachos were nice bt missing something... Can't quite point out. For mains it was chicken tacos and veg burrito. So it's 3 tacos in a plate which tasted decent but the plating could do better...My bottom taco got soggy and messy. The burrito though was niceee. The place is fun and so is the food. Definitely going back for some burgers this time and of course the garlic tortilla as well.Cheers!
It’s difficult looking for options in vegetarian in London. But Chiquitos offered a bunch of options and were more than willing to customise some of their non veg options and replace the protein with Tofu.

I do like a good Mexican. I usually go in for a cocktail and appetisers. They have really tasty starters which could be enough as a meal anyway. They have a funky party atmosphere and you can bop along to the Mexican music enjoying your favourite cocktails and beer! Great all time fav

Visited them on a chilly night in March. Entered quite late when all nearby outlets were not permitting entry. It's a casual dining place, with great interiors, ambiance. We experienced excellent service even at that time, the server was polite and hospitable. To highlight, their menu has several options. All items we ordered tasted fine - wings, fajitas, draught beer, etc. Will surely revisit them whenever I am around.

Me and my friend were really hungry and wanted to go to a nice place for lunch. So we decided to try out this place. I have not regretted since then.
The nachos with salsa and guacamole was my instant favourite. I also had the Chimichanga which was so filling. The portion sizes are huge.
Their breakfast menu is also extensive. I had tried their breakfast sizzler which comes with eggs, sausages, bacon, mushroom and leeks on a hot skillet. It was amazing.

Wanted to have Mexican and ended up landing into this place. What attracted us was the music and the lively ambience of the place. We were 11 of us and was lucky enough to get the last empty table left. The food was absolutely amazing and the Sangria was just perfect. A reliable place if I want to spend a fun evening out with friends, having good food! Noisy and always crowded ( booking Recommended!) not a place for a romantic dinner. Fully loaded nachos is a meal, sharing is better;
I love their prawns fajitas, so hot and sizzling, and all the chicken dishes , like chicken enchiladas. Lovely margaritas!
Really good Mexican food. The starter of loaded nachos were, well, loaded. Came with chicken and cheese with a range of sauces, very filling and very tasty. Fajitas were fantastic, only gripe being the wrapping used for the wraps, they tend to get stuck together and can break. Also do a wide range of cocktails which were very good, and have an outside eating area which is great for a hot day (one of the very few in a typical English summer).
Can't deny, it has a perfect ambience for a Mexican joint.... Food is good, but not excellent... but the drinks served are nice.... The starters were good, but found some cooking issues with some siders. Overall a good experience...
Very nice place for a casual Saturday lunch. The menu offers so many different tempting options and the service is also pretty quick. Went for the fully loaded nachos to share for two as a starter, the portion was absolutely huge and then the classic chicken fajitas which was as you would expect it to be. I will definitely come back to try other things on the menu which all looked delicious !
One of the best place to have Mexican food. I have been here several times. The food is really tasty and cocktails are awesome. Pocket friendly and environment is great. My favorite dish here is chicken Fajita.
We visited this place twice in 3 days. The first time we went, I had mini Nachos and the BBQ Pulled Pork Tacos. They were both so delicious. As for the second visit, we shared the big Nacho starter, which is huge, and the Sweet Chili Jam Burger. I honestly expected better since most of the nachos got all soggy and moist due to the big amount of sauces (mind you that they were still tasty) and the burger’s meat was very dull and nothing was special about it. Maybe it was all because of how packed it was. But, we loved the waitress, ambiance, and music.
I would definitely recommend.
Chiquito’s has long been a stalwart in Leicester Square. I defy any Londoner not to know it. Last night they had the launch preview of their new menu along with new tequila based cocktails. We tried Empanadas, fish Tacos (delicious!), sweet chorizo croquettes, mini burritos and chocolate churros. Each dish was paired with a separate tequila based drink including a chilli chocolate tequila to dip our churros in. I don’t have a very sweet tooth as you all know but this dessert was definitely one I would have again. My favourite dish was....

If you visit Leicester Sq, this place might be hard to miss. It was last night in London for one of our friends, so we decided to go for Mexican (Tequila baby ;)) liquor (not food). This was our first visit to the joint & we were in no rush to eat or leave early...
Coming to ambiance, they have decently done up the place but given the location I don't think they bothered much. Only wish they could have done it a bit better & classy. They have massive seating inside, as well as decent seating outside. The time we visited, all tables outside were packed so we settled for a high table opp the bar (making it easier to get drinks).
We started with couple of round of Mojito with an interesting Spiced Ginger flavor. Tried a round of Caipirinha & then what we came for - Tequila ! They have a decent variety of Tequila's as compared to other joints (in case you get bored of trying out different beers). Eventually we moved to pitchers approx 20 quid a jar.
The crowd was a mix of youngsters to couples, we practically spent 4-5 hrs there. The plus of being in Leicester Sq is there are many tourist, so they striking a conversation or chatting up in general is inevitable. There were 2-4 different groups we met & in the end it was a good night.
I will be honest, we didn't try food (nor expect anyone too given the location) - the basics like nachos, fries & burgers were decent (or we were too drunk to notice). Overall, we had a great time - the mood & vibe was perfect to have a awesome night.
Being 3 ppl, we paid damage of approx 200 quid (tad bit expensive) but no complaints as the cocktails were just perfect. Nor too sweet, nor too much liquor just the right mix. The verdict - I would definitely visit again for good round of liquor (may be a little bit of food this time) given this sitting a one of London's tourist hot-spots & is very lively.
Mexican near Piccadilly circus and Chiquito is the place to be. Great Mexican serves both in taste and presentation. Good atmosphere, nothing great about the ambience. Service is average, prices are on a higher side.
Overall Mexican lovers should definitely try the place out.
I like this place for nice Mexican food when I visit Piccadilly Circus,being here twice I like their food which is simply good but the service needs to be improved which was quite slow twice the time I had been here before.My favourite pick in their menu is Quesadilla with pulled pork stuffing which is quite filling for a meal
Came here for a quick lunch, the food was alright, service a good; I particularly like the tequila chicken wings. I have managed to replicate the chicken wings so I have added to my cooking reportoire.
First time in London and walked into this mexican restaurant after a movie. The ambience is great. The service is fantastic. Spicy chicken is highly recommended.
Wow!! Good Mexican food.

Turned up on late on a Saturday evening expecting a quiet restaurant but was pleasantly surprised to see it about two thirds full. No problem getting seated, so went straight in to ordering. Service was attentive and delivered accurately (no errors). Food was very tasty, and quite filling, I normally find that for a chain restaurant Chiquito is at the higher end of the cost scale and therefore at the lower end of the value for money scale. That being said on this occasion I went for my normal starter of Barbecue Wings which are generous in portion size and also delicious. I decided to try something different for my main so went for a Sizzler, the Mango Cod, roasted in sweet Mango Jalepêno glaze, topped with mixed peppers and pink onions, served with fries and Cranberry Salsa. I have to say I thought it was delicious and a good sized portion. My companion had steak and fries and commented how lovely it was. I was impressed to the extent I did give a gratuity based on the good service and lovely food. The £40 estimate of cost for 2 was spot on.
I visited this place on a recommendation with a group of 15 friends. I ordered the Baked Spicy Chicken Enchiladas and I am happy to report that they were really good. Decent portion size, great balance of flavours, a tasty tomato sauce, and a good, tangy side salad to add in a punch of zing to the dish.
This place is pretty pricey if I'm honest, but, it's not bad value for money. The service was efficient and cheerful, and the ambience was very typical Latino/Mexican.
All in all, not a bad place to visit at all!

"MEXICAN DELIGHT"
The next favorite cuisine after Indian dishes which i relish the most is the Mexican cuisine. Went here last month, it is situated at one of the best locations of London.
Had to wait a long because of the weekend the restaurant was too busy. Seems like never ending queue......... On our arrival we were handed with a buzzer and was asked to wait for minimum 20 minutes.We got our seats after a wait of 45 minutes!!
AMBIENCE:
Very lively place but the music is too loud with that noisy crowd. We got a place on the first floor...the ground floor seemed to be only for drinks. I liked the seating arrangements, very cozy with dim lights . There is a corner for all.
FOOD:
Ordered Nachos- cheesy, spicy and had that perfect tangy flavor, Baked veges with cranberry jam and mint salsa -the best i had, delicious and a complete filling for the stomach, burritos- very well wrapped with exact proportion of beans, cheese ,rice and spices! The portions were big and satisfactory.
SERVICE: Very very slow service. We got our drinks when we ere half through our main course. The staff is pleasing but too slow for a busy chain like this.
COST: Approx £50 for two. I found it bit expensive!
In a NUTSHELL:
I would recommend this place if you want to enjoy vegetarian mexican food, they have lot of options and dont miss the spicy nachos!
I am a huge fan of Mexican food but often feel that it is hard finding really exceptional Mexican food in Europe. But Chiquito in Covent Garden does a pretty good job, although for me it is more Tex-Mex than traditional Mexican. The wings are pretty good and the Chiquito Guacamole is really fantastic (they allow you to mix your own by choosing a few things like tomato and jalapeños etc.) And there is plenty of amazing mains to choose from as well, I really enjoy the hot wraps, or if I want something a little lighter, the Mango Cod is really flavoursome.
The bar has a good range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages that remind me of holidaying at a resort somewhere warm. And when it comes down to dessert, there are so many options I often struggle to choose, but the Churros are always a safe bet.
This place made me fall in love with the Mexican food!

We started at The bar having some cocktails and The we went upstairs to have, what I like to call, a kickass dinner!
We had some fajitas and nachos and it was all great, delicious and cooked perfectly.
Apart from that, The service was really Nice, The waiter was portuguese, just as I, so he made sure everything was Going pretty fine!

Couldn't get better food in London or wait not even London, Europe !!!! The nachos out there just melted in my mouth like never before !!! I enjoyed alot out there as we went there for a holiday and it was my parents' anniversary so had a really good time out there :)
In love with Mexican food thanks to Chiquito. Their Churros are mouth watering, only downfall is the wait as it's so busy down there but definitely worthwhile. Definitely going back there.
A good friend has been recommending me this place for a week now. Finally got the chance to visit it with her. As we entered we noticed that the inner ambiance is totally different from what's portrayed outside. Beautiful lively atmosphere with great music playing. Ordered some Spicy Chicken Wings, some quesadillas and some fiery chilli chicken. Great food and some great service. Most recommended.

Its very rare that I have loved all the items that we have ordered. More than the amazing food, it is the service which makes you feel great about this place. The waiters seem very pleased and happy to serve you.

Right on Leicester Square very nicely located and very warm welcome. On weekends it csn be busy esp. Evenings so book in advance. Nice amboence though little congested but comfortable when seated. Free popcorn with your order. Lot of options for vegetarians like nice nachos, quesadila, veggie burger, enchiladas, rice with refried beans. Have tried all on my various visits all are lovely and suited for Indian palette. Tried virgin mojito as well which is nice but with so much ice and mint the quantity is very less. A veg meal with mocktails can cost gbp 35. Nice. Will visit again. Would have given 5 stars but food arrives very slow but staff is nice though has to be called each time of you want something.
Right next to odeon theatre this mexican restaurant is a must go for everyone who like mexican food. Some of the best mexican dishes ever had. All the way from india.

I remember wandering on the streets at leicester Square with a couple of my friends, deciding on what to eat. We were out to celebrate the end of our MBA exams. We were more thirsty than hungry :)
So after a lot of contemplation we opted for Chiquito. This was a restaurant we had heard of from others, hence we decided to give it a go.
It was a weekday and it was not crowded at all. We were a bit surprised. But then we got great service, and waiting time was minimal.
Beer with nachos, perfect combination. I ordered the Regular Burger which was not great but nice. One of my friends ordered the Sizzler ( Mexican Chicken if I am not mistaken), but I remember telling my other friends to give it a go, coz I loved it.
A little expensive for us, but I would say for London not bad. We paid somewhere near 50 quid for the 3 of us. So it was a nice evening and totally satisfied with the food.
And yes I would go back ( Whenever I get a chance to go back to London again)!

Chiquito is a great restaurant mexicano, with great prices, great menu and in the center of London.
The style is Mexican, great music that cheers the environment and to all a good start to a nice evening board Desperados typical beer with tequila and a plate of nachos with chicken and guacamole to share.
The only flaw is that, unfortunately, is always busy over the weekend, but I'd say wait worth it.
Great food and friendly staff I would reccomend this place for those looking for a nice mexican restaurant. The food here is extremely tasty and affordable! They have a great variety of food both vegetarian and meat and I love their nachos and chicken wings! Great place to have a few drinks too with happy hour and pitchers that are just £10.

This is basically fusion mexican food. It has tried to incorporate the mexican flavour with a British/American twang. I admire the appetisers and their portions. I had chosen to play safe when I ordered Nachos with cheese. It was one of the best ones I had had in a long time. Their set menu for lunch makes it quite flexible and easy on the pocket for those having problems deciding the order. I would definitely go again and would recommend it to mexican food lovers.
Chiquito is an amazing place to catch up with friends!! If you have a taste for Mexican food then this restaurant is worth a try. They serve large portions in the exquisite mexican style and the background music and ambiance make for a perfect weekend outing!
Very spacious dining space in this area. The restaurant is super packed with tourists all the time and people come here for drinks as well. Not suitable for quiet dates because it’s quite crowded here so you always need to shout out loud.
Friendly but definitely overloaded staffs. It takes time to wait for your foods and they’re not cheap.

Very nice salads and grilled plates. The combination of sauces and ingredients are well considered. The rest of them are okay. Nothing impressive but fine.
It was too load to sit inside of the restaurant so we sat outside instead. But needed to tolerate annoying tourists and souvenir sellers who came across to the customers all the time. Drunk people even shout to the poor waitress. But it’s common to this area and I personally won’t get too close to area for meal if I want to have a quality time with friends and foods.
Beautiful Mexican restaurant in Leicester Square, located in the centre of London. The atmosphere is cool, the staff is nice and polite, and the food is very good and well decorated. It's not much expensive if you think about the location. They use to leave Mexican hats around the restaurant so you can take some pictures with your friends. You will spend around 20 - 30£ each

I absolutely love Mexican food and cook it as often as I can when I'm at home, but being out and about this really impressed me. Warm and cosy on the inside and the staff were positive and friendly. The food came out quickly and they even catered for my gluten intolerant girlfriend. I would hailey recommend for a quiet meal and a place to bring family and friends.
This is a really decent chain restaurant. It's not very authentic but it's a nice establishment that offers a cozy indoor environment and the perfect location for outdoor seating. This is my second time here and they have decent tacos and burgers. They ha e a full bar and play Mexican music. The staff is very kind just a little unorganized.
