We visited the Old Street restaurant as a family with a young baby and the staff immediately found us a table with space to put the pram.
Had a lovely meal, was delicious.
There was so much, we were offered the leftovers boxed up to take home, without us asking.
The staff were extremely pleasant and didn't rush us, but asked occasionally if everything was ok.
A nice touch was our waiter Charlie introducing himself by name.
Would thoroughly recommend this place.
I stumbled accross Bodean 2 nights ago on the way back from another eaterie, checked the menu, liked what I saw so made the point of going the following night. I went for the special of chicken wings, pulled pork, baby back ribs with fries & coleslaw, food & service was fantastic. I will be back again.
I never usually rate places, but this was simply beautiful. Such satisfying food and the service has been delifhtful.
We’ve been going to the Old Street branch for 3 yrs now and can’t fault this place at all. The food is amazing and the staff are friendly and helpful. We always get a warm and friendly greeting from the staff and the bar staff are brilliant as well.
We ask for recommendations of their cocktails and they make them up to suit your tastes and they get it spot on! We can’t fault this restaurant and always look forward to going back
I have been here before for a staff Christmas party, but decided to bring my girlfriend up for a late lunch, and we (but more importantly her) were not disappointed. Had the baby back ribs and loved the way the meat literally fell off the bone! Yum yum will be coming back again! �

My dad was visiting here and I took him out before we went to a show. I was looking for a special treat for my old man and the staff spoilt us rotten from when we entered, the foot was fantastic, we were looking for old school American rock and roll vibes and a good laugh and we got that along wit excellent food. I forgot our servers name - he was a young lad and just the right amount of attentiveness and fun without being in your face.

Delicious bbq! I've been a few times and never disappointed. Got the pulled pork and beef burnt ends combo, it's so, so good and they support our NHS staff with a 20% discount with your ID.

Bodean's is the one place in London that I don't mind visiting 7 days a week, for their Diablo Sauce Wings. I've tried other dishes as well, but the wings are the best. I was introduced to the place by a colleague in my last trip to London, and ended up having dinner there almost every night. To give the uninitiated an understanding, Diablo Sauce is this quite spicy, but very tasty sauce. It will make you sweat, and might be too spicy for some. But for me, I would get my Diablo Wings and an extra cup of Diablo Sauce for dipping. In my opinion, you could serve a shoe coated in this sauce, and it would taste good. Apart from the wings, I've had their Baby Back Ribs and Beef Burnt Ends. Overall, a great place to eat, and I will be visiting every time I'm in London

Sodium overdosed! It's good for meat lovers, a typical American style restaurant. We had the game special which comes with a beer, buffalo wings, pull pork, short ribs, and fries. It was a generous portion to be shared between the two of us. Everything was quite salty though. I guess that's what the beer is for.
Delicious American inspired grill house! We got the KC Brisket Special and the Soho Special. Both the burgers were stuffed with meat, smokey and so full of flavour! The servings are good, lots of chips and the burgers were very filling. Wish there was more coleslaw though, I am a big fan of coleslaw. We also had a slice of cookies and cream cheesecake for dessert, which was amazing! Definitely will be back for more if I'm in the area.
Nice location to enjoy your dinner with a beer or a glass of wine. Make sure, to call upfront for a table, otherwise you might haveto wait for a couple of minutes
A taste of the American South in the heart of London. I had the Bodean plate which is a good sampler of all the special plates they have. Food was super and as guenuine to souther bbq as it guets, it really brought back some good memories of my days spent in the US. A must try if you like smoked bbq meat.
Fantastic, one of, if not the best steak I have had in London.
14oz ribeye w/ peppercorn sauce and a jacket potato - ~£25.
Cocktails were also very good, although a tad pricey at almost £10 a pop.
Only downside is the service was a bit sloppy and the waitress looked like she didn't even want to be there... 10pc service charge auto applied and was tempted to get it reversed.
Well what can I say but meat meat meat! I opted for the sharing platter which was smoke sausage two types of ribs burnt ends beef brisket pulled pork chips and coleslaw. What a feast. Good way to try a bit of everything too. That plus a couple of drinks and service was £50.
The food is is second to none. If you are a meat lover like myself you need to visit Bodeans. Their ribs and pulled pork are potentially the best in Soho and maybe even London.
The restaurant has a takeaway style upstairs and a really cool American themed downstairs restaurant but you do need to get down early as the place is super busy and has a big waiting time to grab a seat. You can book but only with certain numbers.
You can grab craft beer and American ciders and beers whist watching American Football and baseball on the big screens.
One of our guilty weekend pleasures is going to Bodean’s BBQ, so on Saturday, amidst our cook and bake-off, we thought it would be wise to get out of the house for a little while and go for some lunch, so we thought we’d go for one of our faves. The Tower Hill branch is located on the opposite side to the Tower Of London, just a little further up the road. It looks small from the outside but most tables are located downstairs, underground. It might be a little claustrophobic for those who like natural light!
Happened to be here by coincidence and it was quite amazing. After going through the complete mane went for this platter for 15 pounds .. It included pulled pork, BBQ ribs , chicken wings , French fries, Cole slaw salad and a pint and lot many sauces. It was just amazing. I would come here next time to try 1 inch ribs. A must place to go if you love pork.
Worth The Wait. After walking around all day building up an appetite, it was a welcome sight when we spotted the Bodean's sign. It was our first visit so we did not know what to expect. Our plates were almost licked clean as all three of us really enjoyed our meals.
Have to wait until our next trip to ole blighty to enjoy again.

Good but needs more meat. Had the BBQ chicken breast with rice and veggies. Very small portion of meat ... Like 6 bites. Surprised me based on other reviews. Food was good and had a large portion of veggies.

Althought i am up bodeans all the time working i do still find myself travelling up with the family to eat there it is that good and the new bar is a lovley way to start the evening with a few relaxed drinks before you tuck in. Exactly what our grumbling tummies needed - a big mountain of food with lots of meat. Table sauces - oddly the Hot Chipotle and the Smoked Hickory tasted exactly the same!
Bodean's describes itself as a 'BBQ Smoke House' and styles itself on the American sports bar model with ESPN playing on the TV and a 'Game Day Special' on the menu. Now, BBQ is always something that will wind up aficionados (of which I am not one) and a little bit of on-line research informs me that there are four principal styles of BBQ: Memphis - specialising in 'wet' and 'dry' ribs and barbecue sandwiches (wet ribs are brushed with sauce before and after cooking, dry ribs are seasoned with a dry rub) Carolinas - pork: pulled shredded or chopped (though North and South Carolina do things differently - of course) Kansas City - the signature ingredient here is the sauce, thick and sweet, served at the table with dry rubbed ribs Texas - of which there are four kinds: North, East, South and West; I'll leave it there. Great vibe and delicious pulled pork, ribs and sausages. We shared a platter with a mix of all of these - really good! And nice beers on tap - lovely to stumble across Sam Adams :-). Service is good, and it's decent value for money. Great night out. The company was pretty good too! ;-D
I am American and I first visited this place two years ago! Its the closest thing to southern bbq that London has to offer! I even moved here, and eventually took my family here when they came to visit! We are used to amazing bbq, and Bodeans sure does hit close to home!
The place is always crowded and you will be welcomed with a long queue at the door. Be prepared for long waiting hours which are a put off and repulsion for most people. The place has some well cooked dishes such as Ribs, Pork and Chicken wings, which taste great when hot so avoid takeaways!
The food offered here is absolutely delightful! The atmosphere is perfect for a meal out and relaxes you to no end. The cocktails are very delicious as well. I have been a frequent visitor of this place as I work nearby and have never been disappointed. I recommend this place to everyone.

In my opinion, the menu is mainly concentrated on meat items ,our order of sea food too was tasty.I advise you to drop in early as the place might get full!
This is an amazing restaurant to go with your family whenever you visit London. The staff is superb and also at your service. They are very attentive. The food is also amazing and tasty. We ordered Pork and Beef Ribs which were awesome. The ambiance is mostly buzzing. I had a great time here and will visit this place soon.
I went here with six other people for a birthday meal. The decor here was absolutely gorgeous. We found the staff to be very quick, efficient and attentive in their service. The beer was great too. The food, however, simply blew our minds away. There was no fault with it at all. I ordered a pulled pork and brisket which both tasted great. I love this place and I will definitely be returning.
This experience at the Hilton Hotel will be etched in my memory for months to come. It seemed like one of those perfect fairy tales. I walked in with my partner and was warmly greeted with a broad smile. They were courteous enough to seat us and take care of the fact that we are comfortable in all aspects. We began with the drinks and I have to admit that I have just read about such wines being served at the October Festival in Germany. It was just the first time that I got to taste them! The snacks that followed were lip smacking. We are surely visiting again for another wonderful experience.
A nice restaurant that serves delicious burgers and fries. I would suggest one to stick to the basics while ordering since other dishes on the menu can be a let down. The prices are steep, for the drinks outrageously so. The service is decent though. the desserts are strictly avoidable.
On a fine Friday evening, me and partner decided to visit this place for some BBQ. This restaurant has five branches in London, each of which serve amazing Kansas city barbecue. We reached the place and ordered the same, which took a little extra time to arrive than we expected, but was no doubt, an amazing and well prepared dish.
The food at this BBQ place was nice, everything well cooked and flavourful. The reviews however said otherwise, and I was amazed at what I got here. The meat portions were really tiny, to my disappointment. The taste was good, and the vegetables were sumptuous.
I quite liked the place. This one had been on our list for a long time and at last the wait was over. This place is famous for its Bbq styled food and let me tell you they live up to the craze. I found the serving staff extremely sweet and efficient even while handling a large party like ours. I would definitely recommend devouring the chicken wings , they are heavenly!
The food at this place is generally amazing, but I've had better Que in the other restaurants around London. The food here, though not bad, isn't great either. The depth and the flavor of the Que at other places around London is much better than the ones offered here. I would recommend this restaurant for the dishes other than the Que.
The menu here is quite small and does not offer much variety for people who only eat vegetarian food. Meat is present in a huge quantity in a variety of forms and boy, is it good! The food is very delectable, each dish you order. On top of it, you have the great service by the staff and a comfortable ambiance.
I have always had a lovely experience of dining at this place. Whenever i have got a family or a friend along with me to this place, i have always ordered their specials and not even a single person disliked it. They even give you a membership card which provides different discounts on different days of the week. Highly recommend!
This place was like a very pleasing oasis when we starving from all the walking that day. Our expectations were not that high as it was our maiden visit and we were not sure what could be expected of the place. But what an awesome place this is! The food here is so freaking delicious that we did not shy away from wiping our plates clean.

Brilliant diner for game nights! Times here have always been one of slight inebriation, but the chilly dogs, burritos and sweet potato fries always wins.
If you are looking for some soul food try the baby back ribs, cajun swordfish or even the jerk chicken and you wont go wrong.

I went to Bodean's with colleagues from work for a team lunch. The atmosphere was great and I never imagined the downstairs section would be so big, I walk past the front almost every day on my way to work and never been tempted to visit until my colleagues suggested it.
The food is very 'American Diner' style and would really appeal to you if you're a massive meat-eater. Their specialties include steak, burgers, barbecued ribs, etc. Although tasty, it was too heavy for me and I ended up feeling sleepy for the rest of the afternoon. Not the best idea to come here for lunch really.
The menu is affordable. After a night out, you get up at mid day well hangover and you go to the Bodean's for a massive Hamburger with fries. And it feels sooooooo gooooood!! That's all you need! Especially the Prime Beef BURGER!!! AWESOME one, with Maple Streaky Bacon topping for just a pound!!!! This restaurant made my Week end! I recommend it

I booked this for a me and my brother, we went on a Wednesday at around 6:30pm - 2 very heavy meat eaters. Safe to say, we were in good hands.
We were seated downstairs which was nice and cool temperature wise. The table for 2 was a little small, but this didn’t serve to be as much of an issue as I thought. I feel if you were ordering multiple plates you would have a bigger issue.
Initially I was concerned about the multiple reports of flies and although there was 1 small one that occurred once or twice, it’s nowhere near as bad as I thought and frankly if I hadn’t seen the other reviews I would of never even thought to mention it.
Service was a little slow but our waitress kept checking on us and was overall a very positive person, definitely made the mood better.
Food was grand. We got the pit boss platter and it almost beat both of us out. I got the sides of fries and bbq beans but didn’t even touch the beans, I was too full. The quality of the meat is decent. You want to be on the slightly quicker side as taking breaks let’s the meat cool fairly quickly and it’s the type you prefer hot. Food wasn’t cold by any means.
Overall in short it’s a good spot with good food and good people. Prices are pretty fair for the location and I’d happily drop off again to eat there.

Staff were incredibly friendly and fast, despite it being quite busy. Food is regular Bodean's quality, I especially love their truffle mac and cheese.
We were in the area and after reading some good reviews, we came here for dinner. We got no reservations but were offered seats quite fast. We went downstairs and right away Shela took great care in making sure we enjoyed our dinning experience, she was a star! Fast and friendly service, followed by great ribs and pulled pork. The BBQ Chipotle sauce is definitely a must try with your fries and meat. Great flavors, and even better service. Only downside is the loudness of the place, making it hard to have a chat while enjoying your meal, but do give it a go, it's a good restaurant for BBQ meats.
Popped in here on chance having visited 10 years ago, got a seat at the bar where I could take in the atmosphere and the American sports on TV. Staff very friendly and attentive. Ordered probably too much but it was all delicious. Their bourbon menu is very impressive *price per person does not include extra bourbon purchases after the meal.

Bodeans is a great budget friendly option for american BBQ. The food is ok, not the best but you're definitely going to be satisfied.
Nice selection of drinks too. The venue at Tower Hill is nice, pretty much right outside the Tower of London so it can be packed with tourists on the weekends. It has a few tables on the ground cloor but a large seating area in the basement.
The main downside is the service. It's a bit slow and they make mistakes. I've been to this restaurant 4 times and every time they either mixed up some order or there were other issues so it's definitely not a one time thing. They are very courteous and kind but yeah, the service leaves something to be desired.
Atmosphere and vibe is ok, lots of TVs that play sports so you can catch football matches, etc.
Hopped in for lunch one afternoon. Great location! Was looking forward to some bbq as I’ve been to Kansas City and was getting tired of pub food haha. Service was great and the inside was clean and comfortable. Loved the music! Food was great portions and tasted fresh. The hickory bbq sauce was great as well. Burnt ends were slightly dry but still tasty. The wings were also good but somewhat small. All in all, it was a nice stop for lunch and I did not expect to find tasty bbq in London!

We had Nachos, Mac N Cheese Balls, Burnt ends and Fries. Which we all tasty and I would recommend the nachos as a starter.
Great place with unusual music creating this American pub feel. Plenty of vegetarian choices which surprised me. The staff is fabulous, the bar guys so smiley which is very unusual at touristy areas. ☺️ thanks for that.
