A hidden gem in Finsbury park. Very reasonable and authentic. Veggy curry heaven, Restaurant attracts wholesome, interesting, friendly, customers. Good times.
The best Indian food in London? Quite possibly!
Great vegetarian Indian food and very affordable!
Wonderful vegetarian food at low prices. Quiet enough to hold a conversation.
One of the best curry houses I've been to. Lovely veggie curry. Been multiple times always happy.
As a meat lover I was dubious. That was amazing. Value, taste, service wise perfect. Just felt like I could sit and eat all day. And no meat!!!! And the bill, less than £20!! I salute you. I may be a changing man. #whoneedsmeat
Seriously delicious. Love this place. Relaxed and friendly too.
Awesome food and super nice owners/staff
Great place - always consistently good food. Can't go wrong !
yummy and dirt cheap!definitely worth recommending:)
Absolutely delicious and great value Indian. The staff were helpful and friendly in finding space for an extra guest we hadn't reserved a space for, the food from the "exotic dishes" column was exceptional and varied, and the food is very reasonably priced. I would reccommend two dishes per person as we had eight between five and finished feeling slightly hungry still. Overall though, everything you could hope for from a BYOB curry!
Jai Krishna is an Indian vegetarian version of Roti King. A simple no fuss restaurant that just does tasty quality food. Our review of Roti King can be found here. Roti King – Euston. The interior of Jai Krishna is made of metal tables and chairs contrasted against red walls. It is a bring your own alcohol restaurant. If you want to pick a great selection of drinks, then Jack’s off licence just opposite the restaurant is the place to go.

the best vegetarian restaurant( more of a cafe atmosphere) i have been to, no fancy decor ,no frills but excellent helpful ,friendly staff and the food is exceptional and fairly priced. we went in early ,around 5pm and by 5.45pm there was a queue to get in which proves how popular this place is.
the only thing that spoils it is people can bring their own alcohol (none sold on premises) which i don't think is necessary to enjoy a meal at a veggie restaurant. i have recommended jai krisna to several people .
you will enjoy the food even if you are not a veggie and i strongly recommend the poori chat
A local institution of long standing. Consistently good authentic food at incredibly low prices.
Haven't been here in a while but God do I love this place. Don't expect fancy service or any frills but do expect fantastic, authentic, home cooked indian food! It's also Bring your own Bottle which makes it a ridiculously cheap, excellent meal out. Highly recommended!
Couldn't disagree with the previous reviewer more. All food is delicious and tastes freshly prepared. Atmosphere is great and it's hard to spend more than 10 quid each while still feeling utterly stuffed full! A local favourite.
Amazing authentic South Indian food that caters to everyone! Most of the menu is vegan and non-vegan options are labeled as such on the menu. The food is heavenly (I highly recommend their saag, dosa, and bhel puri) and the people were very welcoming.
It is a casual dining spot with affordable prices and great food, meaning it’s usually packed. Added bonus is that the place is BYOB with a bare minimum corkage charge. Bring wine to share with friends and you’re good to go!
No frills place with very tasty food at a good price. We ordered mixed vegetable curry, sambar, papri chaat and paratha - all delicious. It’s a cash only spot!
The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavours. Absolutely beautiful. The service was above expectations , I will definitely go there again. Although this is a vegetarian restaurant, I would highly recommend going there even if you’re a meat eater!
Quite an informal place to eat but with plenty on the menu to offer that will cater pretty much everyone. I would say this is one of those places that is best enjoyed as a group as you can order almost infinite dished to share and try. The only downside is that it gets pretty cramped and perhaps a bit too loud so not a place for a romantic date. They take only cash so remember to withdraw money beforehand
Note*** No Card Payment Option***
Very very noisy when it gets busy. Not a place for romantic or quiet dining. Tables are really close together so does not have a feeling of privacy. No home delivery. You have to write down your own order on paper which is a positive in some ways avoiding orders being wrong or a waiter/tress waiting at your table to take down a long list of orders.
However food tastes absolutely amazing. If the above is an issue they can still do take always. Helpful and polite staff. Very affordable and not expressive. You can cover the entire table with plates of food for a good price.
I had Chana Massala with 1/2 rice + 1/2 garlic naan. Taste was good, but naan could be better. One of cons could be not possible to pay by card.
Amazing Flavourful and filling food. A little loud but overall great atmosphere. The food was relatively fast at being prepared. Would 100% recommend. Definitely the best Indian food I’ve had.
Party of 10.
Service - 8/10 : Happy, quick, and to the point.
Flavours - 9/10 : I tried about 15 dishes. Loved them all
Value - 10/10 : Food is exceptionally well priced and because its BYOB, it only came to about £16 each and we ordered plenty of food to share
Atmosphere - 8/10 : Some reviews saying its loud. Well duh! it's a very small, BYOB Indian restaurant.
Cash only : Not an issue, nearby ATM.
Was so so happy with our meal here! Food was delicious and so reasonably priced. BYOB was surely a plus! Will certainly be back. Worth every penny.
Amazing food, great value.
Food here is excellent! You can bring your own alcohol here. Great place for catch up with small or large group.
Very cute Indian family run restaurant! Authentic home cooked meal and very reasonable
Great food and service! See Tracey’s post for more photos.

Delicious meal at Jai Krishna.
Authentic tasting, Gujarati Indian food.
Appreciated their kind service.
Thali is a great deal and well worth it!
Cash only.
I’ve been going here for 20 years and the food is consistently great - and very reasonably priced/byob. Personal favourites are the jeera aloo, lemon & cashew rice, bengan bhartha and the chana masala.
