I've been twice and loved every dish served! Look forward to the return visit :-)
Pham Sushi is probably one of my favourite sushi joints in the entirety of London. The sushi is fresh, delicious, priced well and so satisfying. Located in Whitecross Street, just off of Old street, Pham Sushi is a small restaurant that offers big flavours and delicious food. We ordered 4 different sushi rolls and salmon bento. Let’s start with the salmon bento; it came with sashimi, rice, pickled salad, normal salad and salmon teriyaki. The salmon was cooked to perfection and eaten with rice and pickled salad it was amazing. The contrast between the sweet salmon and pickled salad is heavenly. The sashimi were both delicious and literally melted in my mouth. I would recommend eating the sashimi with a little wasabi and dipped lightly in soy sauce. You can even make a lettuce wrap with sashimi/salmon teriyaki, rice, wasabi, pickled salad and dipped in soy.
Great sushi just a 5 minute walk from home! We especially love the salmon sashimi and crunchy tuna roll. The price is quite reasonable for great taste. Pictured are our orders of salmon sashimi, yaki udon with vegetables, beef yakitori, eel & cucumber roll, crunchy tuna roll, and salmon roll.
Would I go back again? YesRating from my brain (out of 5 hearts): ♥♥♥ Rating from my heart (out of 5 hearts): ♥♥♥♥Overall rating (out of 10 hearts) : ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 7/10. Pham Sushi is a no fuss type of restaurant. Everything is straight forward, no fancy cocktails, no fancy menu, even the restaurant is not fancy. It actually reminds me of being in a Chinese or Vietnamese restaurant except it’s alot cleaner and quieter. Their sushi and sashimi ere really fresh and excellent made. Service was attentive and fast. Great if you are craving for some quicka nd reasonable price sushi.
Delicious sushi. My brother works by Pham Sushi so I often go and meet him on his lunch. The fish is always deliciously fresh and the service great - not too attentive and overbearing, but not neglectful. The salmon sashimi wrapped around avocado with salmon roe on top is incredible and the salmon tartare also spectacular. Once we came when the restaurant was full (not surprising around Christmas) but they have a second restaurant across the road (mostly for takeaway I think, but with seating) and luckily we were able to get a seat. It cured my festive hangover no problem. Can't wait for my next trip!
Absoulutely great. I love Sushi. This place gets it right, bite after bite.
Pretty darn acceptable... Must tries are the chunchy spicy tuna roll, nasu dengaku, spicy tempura shrimp and creamy spicy scallops. the maki rolls are superb - just try the asparagus one.. mark of a good sushi chef
Pham Sushi in terms of their food never disappoints. The service can be a bit erratic admittedly but for what it is I think you can always find a good meal here. It is conveniently located, not on a busy road, and is ever so convenient for a “snack” after fencing training or taiji training both of which I do close by!
Pham Sushi is a Japanese restaurant on Whitecross street, near Old Street and Moorgate. They actually have 2 restaurants very close to each other and at first I walked into their more casual restaurant and was directed to their main restaurant across the street and a bit further along. I was surprised to see how busy the place was. We came here on a Tuesday lunchtime and I had not booked a table and I almost could not get a table and had to settle for a not so good one by the door. The inside of the restaurant is “very Japanese” and done in a minimalistic approach with a sushi bar on one side of the room where you can watch the Japanese sushi chefs make fresh sushi. The menu was extensive and you could have many different fish in your nigiru sushi or rolls (both hand and cut rolls) or have the fish as sashimi. They also had a lot of sushi sets. Quite an

And the food is very good, especially at these prices – fresh, perfectly made dragon rolls, spicy tuna rolls and plenty of Nobu-style dishes if you’re feeling ‘black cod’ fancy.
Pham sushi is an Eastern pit stop designed to satisfy your Japanese hunger pangs. Their adventurous sushi rolls, including the spicy tuna rolls are what draws the crowds. They also deliver. Edamame During the week I am pretty good at eating in moderation,
A really great find. Found this place on the Zomato app, when looking for a good sushi place close to me (who else is tired of Wasabi).
A friend and I came on a Thursday, and the restaurant was already almost full. A couple was just leaving, so we managed to get a table quite quickly. The place is really cute, quite small with police staff.
All the other reviews recommended this place so we were ready to dig in. I ordered the set with 6 Alaska Rolls and 4 Nigiri pieces, which was only 9 pounds (Set A). Additionally I had the Guy Takati (grilled beef) which was also very good. All of the ingredients were clearly very fresh, nothing was chewy. I had to bring my own gluten-free soya sauce but other than that the place was really nice.
My friend ordered the Sake Teriyaki (salmon in teriyaki sauce) which she said was delicious, with the sauce not being too sweet. She also had the seaweed salad, as a starter and we were both stuffed towards the end of the meal.
Definitely a place worth visiting, and great for an intimate dinner or lunch as well as takeaway.
Excellent service and the Sushi is fresh and tasty. Tried the green tea that was authentic and went well with the meal. The set meals are a good option to try out the various types of sushi.
Delicious and fresh sushi. Consistent quality every time. They have two restaurants opposite each other with one of the places catering more for take-aways even though they have a couple of tables. Highly recommend eating in to try some of their specials. Do not leave without sampling the crunchy tuna roll, crunchy turbot roll, scallop tobiko roll and yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno. Nom nom nom. Miso gonna be back here soon!
Amazing food at great prices, the quality of sushi you are getting for the price is mind blowing, everything tasted delicious and I'm eager to try more from their menu, it's an intimate cosy venue with attentive staff
Good quality sushi with a large selection of hot dishes. We loved the tempura!!
Great little spot for the lunch menu. Forgot to take a picture of the sushi but see attached picture of the chicken and miso soup
Took my girlfriend here as a surprise. We both loved it. The sushi tasted amazing and the soup we had before that was nice too. Some of the food was pricey but definitely not unreasonable. The atmosphere was great with a lot of nice decorations and the staff were friendly. Definitely would come again!
Great Set A. The sushi was made fresh and was delicious. Would definitely order again.
Decent quality sushi.
Portion sizes are generous. Sashimi is fresh.
Great location.
Toilet is unbelievably small though.
Staff knowledgeable and willing to make good suggestions. Reasonably priced for London so would recommend.
Unbelievably good vegan sushi. Good texture and taste. We had the vegetable vegan set. My wife had the regular sushi and also loved it. We are both reasonably picky about our sushi and have tried a number of local restaurants since lockdown (had to branch out) and this one is by far the best vegan and non vegan sushi. Yum!

My all time favourite London sushi place
Pretty good and fresh sushi given that it looks like your local kebab shop. Would go again in a heartbeat
Fantastic service and reasonable prices.
Pham Sushi is definitely one of my favourite places to eat out in the area. The sashimi they offer is really great - it just melts in the mouth. The crunchy tuna rolls are also to die for.
The place is more than popular, so I'd recommend booking a table in advance or turning up early.
Excellent sushi (fresh and full of flavour) at a very reasonable price - far better than much flashier places in London. The surroundings are modest and it's a fairly small restaurant but the service is fast and attentive.
Nice quiet place for a late lunch. Great staff who would inform you if the chef is busy preparing sushi and estimated time. Food is of a good standard so no complaints.
Best sushi place in Old Street! Their rep in the area is strong and their sushi options are amazing! I love their variations, it’s so hard to pick most of the time, but it keeps me coming back every single time.
Nice place in a nice area. Fair size portions for a fair price, delicious food, well prepared and a good service with an attentive staff. We came in a group of 5 around minutes before 9pm and there was no push or hurry for us to choose the food, despite they being about to close the kitchen.
In my mind, probably best sushi in London for the money. The restaurant interior is modest, go to their silk street branch if you want a bit more upscale. We also order almost weekly for home delivery. Always super tasty!!
