Amazing sushi - we found Kisaku and now we come back for takeaway every week!! The quality is incredibly high, the fish always perfectly fresh - I'm very fussy with sushi I've eaten in Nobu, Roka, Zuma etc and the quality of the fish at Kisaku is at least as good as all - only tiny criticism is the menu is a little limited would like some more variety. But the food - and the service - are absolutely fantastic
The best sushi and beautifully prepared. Lots of delicious options for non sushi eaters also. Service is fabulous
Very tasty and good food, reasonable prices, quick service, nice atmosphere, good background music, very friendly staff. Definitely coming back!
Very nice food with equally courteous staff,
Highly recommended
If you want sushi made with love and passion this is the place. Service is good too!!
Very cosy, clean and welcoming as for the sushi, it was amazing.
Fantastic food, great service and really friendly staff. Worth every penny.
Delicious take out from Kisaku tonight. Thank you :-)
We've been going to Kisaku regularly for more than 2 years now and we were never disappointed. The sushis are amazing - all of them! You can see that the chef is passionate about his job.
I've been to an expensive sushi place and i have to admit that Kisaku came very close for far less money.
My favourites:
- yaki asparagus
- kisaku sushi: a chef selection depending on the day
- miso
- chicken teriyaki
A nice Japanese restaurant. Food are decent. Although it is a bit expensive because of their small portion , it is worth for the value. A place worth to try
Very tasty, fresh and high quality food!!
Salom sashimi are the best that I have ever tried!!
Highly recommended, definitely will go there next time!
Very comfortable place and nice staff!!
Really fresh, delicious sushi, not the cheapest but definitely a worthwhile addition to the quiet end of the Chiswick High Road
Best sushi. My wife is Japanese, and although the owner is Korean she says this is hands down the freshest sushi she has had in west London.
A bit pricey, but the service was excellent - they weren't very busy at 7:30pm on a Saturday night but it was packed by the time we left.
The black cod was fantastic. Pan fried in white miso paste, and topped with some pan fried asparagus, with fried lotus stem slices on the side. The fish juicy and flaky, but firm, and the skin wonderfully crispy. The steamed rice had been sprinkled with crunchy sesame seeds, so in every mouthful you get this nice flavour you weren’t really expecting.
I went in both lunch and dinner. The bento boxes in lunch are great and when I went in at dinner time I had the miso black cod which was brilliant, the sushi and sashimi was very fresh!
Had dinner with family last night. Menu is perfect, something for everyone. Service was awesome and very accommodating. Will be back definitely!
Great food, though the price is understandably not on the cheap side.
We visited this restaurant in two different occasions, ordered some sushi, sizzling beef and fried teriyaki chicken, and were quite satisfied with the food quality. It's also just a short walk from Chiswick Park, so overall a lovely Japanese restaurant on Chiswick High Street.
This is a beautiful restaurant and has delicious food. I can't believe I didn't know about this place before. I highly recommend it. Polite staff and clean hygiene.
Super nice, clean. Lovely manager. Nice authentic Japanese food.
The food was so delicious 👍 and the atmosphere was good good!!
Kisaku is a beautiful romantic venue with a really relaxing atmosphere, especially with the light classical music playing in the background.
HYGIENE:
The premises are very clean, as are the restrooms - the first place I look to judge a restaurant’s hygiene standards. I always wash my hands before I eat so cleanliness is important to me.
STAFF:
I absolutely adore the friendly staff who are very humble in nature.
FOOD:
The menu hosts some really tasty dishes and this is by far the best Japanese food I’ve tasted this side of town. Actually it’s the best Japanese food I’ve tasted in quite some time - I’ve eaten $100 plates in the USA and this is superior! The food doesn’t just taste amazing, the presentation is truly artistic. A lot of effort has gone into making these dishes with love.
Also, you definitely have to try the Jasmine tea, it’s so aromatic in flavour and truly unique. I’m not sure what blend they have, but it’s certainly addictive.
I’m normally very fussy where I eat, yet I really feel at home here. Whether you’re with a party, your partner or simply solo, this is the top place to eat in Chiswick. The taste is so good that it lingers in your mouth - a sign of how fresh the food and spices are.
I understand that sushi is not for everyone, not to worry though, there are plenty of other dishes on the Japanese menu - not everything is sushi and there are plenty of warm dishes too.
COST:
The price per head is reasonable and you definitely get what you pay for - true quality indeed!
FINAL THOUGHTS:
The owner of the venue is so kind spirited and I’ll definitely be returning in the future to sample more dishes. I tried to find a fault with Kisaku and I’m happy to report there are none. Due to their popularity, sometimes you may wait a little, but this is to be expected under certain circumstances. I’d rather my food was cooked properly and cared for - after all, this is t a fast food joint, it’s a quality establishment.
Stopped in here for a quick California Roll for lunch. Very well made and a fair price. In contrast to a different reviewer, I thought it was well-sized, almost large. Food and place settings are a clear five stars.
What a find. There is t much option for Japanese food in west London without going in the central. This is the place for that void. I have been here twice in the last three weeks.
The service
Probably not their strongest point. When they are busy they struggle as they spend too much time preparing the food and not enough staff but this isn't a bad thing if you are not in a rush. Food did come out at different times and not not in the right order. My only criticism. That prevents a 5 star.
The food
This is what separates it from anything else. The food was fantastic. I have been to some of the fancy places in London like roku. Which costs twice the price. The sashimi and sushi is on a similar level to this but at half the cost.
However what I can recommend more than any dish is with out doubt the Black Cod. I had this in roku and here. It is better here. It was simply amazing and the flavour and the fish just melt in the mouth. If you go here that is the dish to try.
Overall
Great place will be coming back for sure.
