Excellent Value. Whilst it is not of the standard of say Locanda Locatelli this small local italian serves superb authentic simple fresh italian dishes in a friendly surroundings. I have eaten here over 10 times and have yet to have a bad meal. Their pizzas are superb value with extremely good pizza base and homemade sauce. I highly recommend this small trattoria but be aware it can get extremely busy.

Had breakfast at Gastronomica in Pimlico, a cafe/deli that advertises itself quite rightly as Piemonte in Pimlico. Actually Gastronomica is a lot more that just this one cafe/deli. They have several market stalls (including one at Borough Market) and another couple of cafes in Wapping and Manchester as well as a wholesale food business. The cafe in the heart of Pimlico is not that pretty from the outside, as it is located in an unattractive red brick block of shops behind a rather garish red awning.

Inside it is much more attractive, the Cafe area consists of a couple of large wooden tables and a few smaller ones, surrounded by shelves of Italian Wine and cabinets full of wonderful meats and cheese. The menu is quite small, mainly Italian sandwiches, cheese and meat boards and salads, but everything looks really good.

My breakfast was just a simple ham and cheese tostado, served with a really good cup of coffee. They also had a selection of cakes, which were inviting enough for me to want to make a return visit to try them along with another cup of that coffee. It's always good to find an alternative to the ubiquitous Starbucks and Cafe Nero coffee shops.

This place captures the best of Italy. It's very laid back, I particularly liked the way they went off menu to please a family that just wanted toast and jam for their kids. You definitely don't see that in Starbucks.

This place is an excellent local Italian restaurant eight in the heart of the Pimlico village. It's small, intimate with a currently small menu that they can adapt within reason to suit tastes. I have found the manager most welcoming and very friendly. It is really a nice place to sit and have a quiet meal with friends or indeed alone. There are plenty of locals (esp Italians) who frequent the place. Worth a stop. The food was very good but some of the dishes I had were a tad too oily for my liking (esp lasagna). It was otherwise delicious. Cant speak for deserts but starters were excellent. Only had vegetarian foods and they were able to accommodate my needs. Highly recommended.

Very nice little Italian style cafe. Coffee was excellent. I had the poached eggs and pancetta with toast. Croissants were amazing as well.

Great experience. Has that real cozy, trendy Italian atmosphere. Prices are good and food is nice! We were helped out nicely by the employees since we suffered some choice difficulties as everything seemed delicious. They let us test out some cheese first for example to see if we liked it 😁. It's also located in a less crowded space in Pimlico which actually makes it more cozy for me.

I was pleasantly impressed by this unassuming Italian deli/restaurant. Despite being near the Victoria hubub, it seems relatively empty and quiet, and while the menu is simple, you can tell its all done well with well sourced ingredients. The sharing platters are copious, the pizza crunchy, and the whole thing ends up being surprisingly affordable!
