I had the pleasure of having a lazy Sunday brunch at The Queen's Larder. The bartender/manager was warm and welcoming. The fish and chips were delectable. The salad on the side and the peas mash astounding and the cider really added to the meal. It definitely helped that it was sunny and all around stunning outside. This is one meal that I'm going to miss for a long, long time to come. Highly recommended for solo diners and Sunday brunch seekers.
Cutest little pub in the tiny streets behind Russell Square Tube station. Oldies and youngsters get drawn to this place for its reasonably priced beer and fun pool table
I walk by this pub almost on a daily basis. During the day it is calm and serves up delicious English food and by night it is busy and bustling with a huge crowd inside and out. The fish and chips you've got to try, because the fish-to-batter ratio is perfect. It's not too doughy and crispy on the outside!
Stopped by after arriving at St Pancras. Quality little pub on the corner near a small park. Friendly barkeep with some great knowledge of the offerings. Had three different beers on cask and they were all perfect temperature and delicious!
Absolutely delightful old pub, beautiful interior, really cosy and homely. Three polite and friendly guys behind the bar, four real ales on the pumps and a little telly showing the news channel, which I think adds to a pub these days, but they need to turn on the subtitles! Great mix of people, two chaps playing chess, a little Indian crew, some old geezers, friends, couples.. One request, please get some good wines in! Even if they're still basic ones, go up in quality a little, as the reds were really quite awful! Look forward to my next visit to this charming place.
A friend and I from the States, recently visited this small neighborhood pub! We loved how friendly and cozy the vibe was in there! The locals and bartenders were so welcoming and friendly, and we quick to fill us in on the history of the pub and the old neighborhood! The bartender Johnny was the star of the bar! He was very friendly, fun to watch behind the bar and very well liked by the locals. He made sure to give us a rememberable time while we were there visiting! This is 1 of 2 pubs we visited more than once during our visit, to London! I highly recommend this place is you’re looking for a real local feel, with people who take pride in their neighborhood!
Decent pub. Stumbled across this pub on a mooch through London back towards St Pancras. Had a wine or two. Wine could've been colder. Hubby had a G&T and then a beer. We both had some crisps. Not sure on price as was pretty drunk by the time we got there. Didn't use the facilities or indeed even go inside but outside there were a few picnic tables that we sat at on a pleasant Monday evening. It was busyish as most places in London are.
Awesome pub. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, one of whom rattled off a list of even older pubs in London to check out. There was nice atmosphere sitting outside and a good selection of beers. There was even some poetry in the bathrooms, copies of which were available on request!
Great little pub with a friendly atmosphere
Fantastic Beer
Fantastic food and much more.
Very old (circa 1710, allegedly), traditional pub; a very small ground floor bar, out front seating, and an upstairs lounge.
Very friendly staff and locals (some of the latter a little too tipsy on a Saturday afternoon at the time of our visit) and a cosy environment.
The pub’s name refers to Queen Charlotte, wife of ‘mad’ King George III. Apparently she rented a small cellar beneath the pub where she stored some of the king’s favorite delicacies whilst he was being treated nearby for his illness.
A good range of well kept ales (I had Timothy Taylor Landlord) and also a decent gin selection.
Highly recommended.
An excellent traditional pub in the heart of Holborn. We had a good pint and a hearty meal served by a very friendly barmaid. It was quiet on the Saturday we were there and seemed to be a haunt for the local regulars which is good to see. Lots of interesting niknaks around the place show casing it's past history. Good selection of pub fayre on the menu and a good selection of interesting ales. Well worth a visit. Has outdoor seating to the front and side too and extra room upstairs. Very cosy, warm and welcoming. Keep up the good work.
Friendly bartender Pat made sure I had a good table and the sausages and mash were rib sticking and delicious. A great find and handy for tube. Go if in area.
Such a beautiful pub, just like a little local pub ought to be. Great friendly staff, brilliant food, gorgeously beautiful surroundings.
Outdoor and upstairs space too.
Highly recommended.
Thank you for your continued friendly welcome.
What a fantastic little pub, full of character and I believe it's been going since the 1700's which is quite amazing when you imagine how many people must have been through it's doors! There's a very friendly vibe within, helped by the bar staff and the many decorative pieces that litter the place add to its charm no end.
This is great pub. Enough space outside to stand about and not get pushed into the wall. Staff were great. I'll be back!
Proper "Pub" is the best description. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of beers/lagers. 5☆☆☆☆☆
A wonderfully eclectic sitting room that sells beer. Fine staff, always eager to help. A lovely setting on a corner, bordered by the green square and a paced pedestrian street. Tables outside too so you can take in the atmosphere and have a smoke if you desire. Say hello to the clowns sitting atop the bar, they are a bit "Chukky" to look at...they may come to haunt you!
Great pub. Cosy and buzzy. Upstairs too if its too crowded downstairs. Friendly staff, nice location
Cosy pub on Queens Square. Friendly service and decent beers
Had a great couple of drinks after a long day in London with a huge thanks to Kriti for making the night so fantastic! Excellent service, vibe, and drinks!
