Situated between Fulham Broadway and Sloane Square tube stations is Buona Sera, part of The Jam, Chelsea. The main attraction to this restaurant is the quirky double decking wooden seating, which gives you the feeling of sitting up high in a treehouse!

Buonasera at the Jam is located along the popular King’s Road in Chelsea. The restaurant is actually very small, essentially a long, thin room. However, Buonasera has maximised the space in a quirky way. The seating consists of booths that are on two levels, with the upper tier accessible by wooden stepladders. As well as adding a bit of novelty, this also means that it feels like there is more space between tables, giving a slightly more private experience than you often get in mid-range restaurants. On both the upper and lower levels all of the tables are illuminated by a light with a dimmer switch, giving customers control over the ambience. My friend and I were sat on the higher level at the end of the restaurant; other than the slight embarrassment of having to climb up to the table in heels, being on the upper tier is good fun. That said, the lower tables are almost entirely enclosed booths, and would probably work nicely for more intimate atmosphere.
Really nice little Italian restaurant. Makes the most of the space they have through lovely little bunk tables. A bit of a novelty but definitely makes an interesting evening. The mussels starter is a very nice start to the meal and will definitely order these again. Unfortunately the mains do not live up to the quality of the starters (in my case the seafood risotto) and could be better.
Overall worth a visit if not just to try out the bunk tables!
Very cozy Italian restaurant with a great variety of food. Atmosphere and service was super! Great quality of food. Really good prices, for 3 pasta dish, 1 large pizza, calamari and a glass of wine for £25 per person

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at this quirky laid out restaurant over the weekend and enjoyed every minute.
Apart from a slight abrupt greeting at the door ‘do you have a reservation?!?!?’, which was quickly turned around into a positive once confirmed that I did, the service was really good.
We chose to sit up for a unique dining experience. The food was all amazing! I highly enjoyed my bolognaise and the margarita pizza looked lovely. The olive and bread, and zucchini fries, to start with were also delicious. I found everything fairly priced considering the area.
Definitely would recommend for others to try out.

Great service and staff (the genetically tanned Italian male waiter/ I'll omit his name for GDPR reasons) was absolutely amazing, knew the menu well and gave great suggestions. Only complaints were the table was a little sticky, I couldn't taste the liquer in the tiramasu (except for that it was pretty good) and the calamari was overcooked (so it was a little too chewy). If that was not the case I would have scored The Jam higher. I will definitely come again and would also recommend to others. 👌🏾
Probably the most cozying atmosphere I’ve ever been to. Great service and excellent starters, however the risotto was a bitter harder to chew and it required a bit more of cooking time in my opinion, and the portions were quite small.
Overall, a great experience and we’ll definitely want to come back.
Wow! Showstopper gnocchi dish. Better then many I have had in Italy. And I live there part of the year. The clam pasta was also great. The service was swift, warm and precise. Vibe is young, hip, groups and dates. Which makes sense because the lighting is very flattering. A detail not enough restaurants get right. Good music that added to the atmosphere without overpowering it. Also one of the more affordable options in Chelsea. I will absolutely be back.
Wonderful place. The menu was just the right amount of inventive. The food was so delicious. We enjoyed our meal so very much.
My friend and I had a meal here and really enjoyed the food and the fast service of dishes. However when our dessert arrived we were still waiting for cutlery (and had asked for it) when we were given the bill and told they needed our table. We were under the impression we had 90 minutes for our booking and it had only been an hour. We then got our cutlery and had about two bites before they came and put the card machine on the table and told us to pay. Our meal was nice but unfortunately we were rushed out the door and couldn’t enjoy the end of it.

Perfection!
The perfect date night with a twist. The restaurant is cosy, especially with the top level seats. However, it is still a very intimate experience, you cannot hear or feel anyone above/below/beside you and it is truly magical. And the service is great!!
The food is amazing, one of the best I’ve tried not only in London but ever. The small plates are perfect for people who cannot decide on one dish and want to try multiple. The only dish that we were not too impressed with were the polenta chips, however the truffle dip they came with was amazing for the calamari rings we got (I guess you could say it turned out well).
Moreover we urge for anyone who visits to try the burrata, tomato small plate. It was amazing. The octopus salad was really well balanced too, and the calamari rings were very light and fresh. Lastly the wine they have is absolutely stunning, we had a rose and it was perfect.
The cost is definitely pricier, however it is very reasonable. The quality is great and the portion sizes definitely fill you up. It’s a fancy restaurant in West London, but you do not come out of there hungry!

We decided to eat here for the novelty of the double decker seating, more than for any other reason. It really is a fun concept and just makes it into an experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One of my children decided they did not like anything on the menu, and they were accommodating and served a bowl of plain pasta with cheese for them. The actual real food that was on the menu was great, and we really enjoyed our meals.
Went here tonight on 29th September. Lovely welcoming seated were on a top deck. Service was amazing super friendly! The food was quick to come out and it was delicious! My and my son went we cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you to the team lovely female and young man an absolute asset to The Jam Chelsea. We will be returning. Lovely starters main and desserts!

My friends and I had a great time, such a funky environment with double decker seating!!! Food was incredible would highly recommend the crab linguine, UNBELIEVABLE!! Service was excellent, super speedy and very well mannered!! Joe was a delightful waiter. Definitely recommend.

Cool italian place to sit and experience. My son and I thought the pizza was delicious!! I didn't really enjoy the pear salad or the chicken casserole. However the pizza dessert with ice cream, and the mango sorbet, were very tasty!!! Service was great!!
I would definitely go back and try something new, as well as the pizza and the desserts.
Suggestion: Ask to sit on the top :)
Absolutely amazing place, the first real Italian restaurant I had a pleasure to eat in England in last 14 yeas. In all courses you can taste the Italian heart & soul. Nothing disappointing, the atmosphere, the staff and of course food. Definitely recommended, from starters, to mains and deserts... Everything is to die for. Truly rustic Italian experience with modern twist. Thank you for making our evening a one to remember.
