We came for 'Uzbek special' and were very excited to see an authentic and absolutely delicious Samarkand-style plov. The Uzbek salads were exquisite and, according to an Uzbek friend of mine, authentic. We ordered Airan, which turned out to be okroshka, and was very refreshing and tasted like home, so made up for not being what we ordered. The home-made flavoured vodka was unearthly tasty. I am not a vodka enthusiast but still enjoyed a blackcurrant flavoured shot. in fact, that vodka, with repeated exposure, may turn me into a vodka fan. I better be careful. My friends, who know about vodka quite a lot, were saying that it is one of the best flavoured vodka they have ever tried and absolutely worth coming back for. I did not enjoy the served green tea. Perhaps, you would like to up your tea game. :) However, I do admit, I have been spoilt with some amazing green tea in Almaty. Service was great - people are very friendly and helpful. The interior is peculiar in a good way. The character and atmosphere of the place is lovely and memorable. I had to Instagram the menu cover. ;) I liked 'Zima' a lot and will be coming back. Thank you.

Never tried Russian food before and was not disappointed. I had the platter for a starter, which was a good way of trying a little bit of everything. For main I had the Beef Stroganoff, the meat was succulent and the potatoes are just how I like them! For dessert I had the Honey Cake which was truly delicious. To top it off the beer is decent too, with the Baltika brand being my favourite. All in all, a cool little restaurant in the heart of Soho!

Went in at lunch time. The staff were lovely and service was great. Gave good recommendations and suggestions on food. The food itself was delicious and full of flavour. Will definitely go back, and I recommend the solyenka soup.

London really needed this place. Trendy tapas format works great here as you can bring your British or any other nationality (basically not Russian) friends and try lots of different stuff. Great interior and food that makes Russians smile (from the glasses to the paints of the bullfinches on the walls). Personally I had a very great and warm experience and great food! Will definitely recommend ZIMA to all my friends and come here again! P.s I had huge cravings for pickled goods and Russian music. thanks for playing аукцЫон and Мумий Тролль.

What I think of Zima bar? It's a real thing! A must visit venue in the heart of vibrant Soho. Go for house vodka infusions and yummiest home-made style food from expert Russian chefs of Zima. Friendly service and old-school Russian rock music adds to the amazing experience. Beware, Zima bar is addictive

Zima is a new Russian restaurant right next to Ronnie Scott's jazz bar in the heart of Soho. It has a very street, funky feel; nice and relaxed with really good Russian soft rock music infusing throughout.
It has three floors - an underground bar and two restaurant floors including a cute terrace on the top floor at the back. A really nice feature is the pictures painted directly onto the walls, including one of the creator Mr Zimin
The food is very authentic Russian with their own local twist added. The plates are modest, so the experience is like Russian tapas. We had quite a selection including the fish platter, aubergine caviar and Olivier salad for starters followed by pelmeni (beef and venison dumplings) and beef stroganoff - the latter was the highlight of the night. Sweets were honey cake and kartoshka (like a hard brownie in a ball).
The drinks menu includes lots of infused vodkas and Russian beers plus a nice wine selection (new and old world)
An all round very nice and unique Russian experience, I definitely recommend it

Went there last Saturday with some friends.
The place is very understated and almost hidden, you really need to look for it! inside is pleasantly furnished with good taste and high quality supplies.
Food was very good, I was surprised how good the Lamb tongue was and especially the Beef stroganoff! AMAZING.
Enormous choices for vodka drinks, I recommend especially the flavoured infusions, excellents!
Will go again

Really good Russian restaurant in SoHo with modern Russian art inside. Food is relatively authentic. The service was friendly but overwhelmed… there was just one girl serving the whole floor. She was new and everything took just way too long. The share plates are good size to try a lot of things. Olivier is not really traditional taste though - can’t recommend. Overall still great experience and would come again. Golubtsi were the best

Three story affair in the heart of Soho serving fine Russian cuisine. Outstandingly low key service and the food was excellent. Seemed to start filling up quickly. One thing I didn’t care for was the volume of the music. A bit too loud. We ordered 3 starters and fish soup. Also had some dumplings and a vegetarian entree: Draniki. The mushroom gravy was very good. Only fault was the portion sizes were rather small. While the pitcher of strawberry lemonade was grand enough, it did seem a bit pricey as well. So I’m deducting a star. It’s a quandary, bigger portions (for more money) or as is. I’d say it’s more a place to bring a date for an evening out. I’d return, although for lunch.

I've been to Zima a few days ago, the ambiance was delightful, and the service was top-notch, our waitress was very attentive to us. The food was equally impressive, capturing the essence of Russian cuisine. Pelmeni with Lamb is to die for. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience, definitely will be back soon!

Authentic Russian cuisine in the heart of London. I was very impressed with borsch and herring salad. I grew up eating this stuff so for me it was like going down the memory lane. We also ordered red caviar and blini and a medovik for dessert. Highly recommend!

It was our first time dining at Zima and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. Olivie and lamb dumplings were very nice, and the desserts were so delicious that we had to order some for a takeaway! The atmosphere is cosy, nice interior and music. Our waitress Laura was very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely come again!

We recently dined at Zima, I highly recommend this place if you're missing home-cooked Russian meals and great Russian music. The service was fantastic and attentive without being overwhelming. The menu had a good range of authentic Russian dishes that catered to all sorts of palates. The Pelmeni and Beef Stroganoff were amazing, and the dessert menu was especially tempting. The honey cake was an absolute must-have, and I recommend it to anyone who visits Zima, no matter how full you may be! Overall, I had a lovely experience at Zima, enjoying fantastic food and great ambiance. While some may find it a bit pricey, I felt it was worth the cost. After all, the price tag brings the authentic flavor and vibe of Russian cuisine in London. I will definitely return to Zima again to indulge in some delicious home-style cooking

A nice selection of Russian cuisine, approved by a Russian friend who brought me here. The downsides would be the small portions and relatively high price. That might expected in accordance with the location of the place I believe.

It’s not my first time at Zima, but every time there is a new experience. The vodka set is just as amazing as it can get. The other day Victoria waited our table and she really was the sweetest

The hookah was very-very good, can definitely recommend. The food is descent although I expected a bit more. The Siberian pelmeni were good and certainly home made but they serve an utterly small portion of sour cream on the side. Strangely, they don’t serve bread together with Salo. Salo was pretty mediocre in my opinion and lacked marinated taste. Borscht was good with the deep flavour. Okroshka was pretty average. Kvass was too sweet and artificial to my taste. If you miss some food from home then this place will remind you of that but it’s not going to be the best food you have ever tried

Today, I visited your restaurant and was served by excellent waitresses, Laura and Sofia. I have never met such polite staff. The host, Kristina, was amiable and improved my day with her mood. Manager Youssif is the most talented manager I have ever met! I am delighted with Zima, top-class level!

A really fun little restaurant in Soho that captures traditional and modern takes on Russian cuisine. Service was fantastic and the menu is certainly something to explore. As somebody who loves caviar, this was a real treat to be able to sample so many different types of incredible flavors.

First time in a Russian restaurant. Have travelled as far east ( from the UK) to Poland, Lithuania etc and have sampled the food which is somewhat similar, eg use of Beetroot, heavy cream, dumplings etc. So this was a small surprise in that I discovered other flavours ( variations). As for ambience, it is a cosy place but in need of updating and comfier furniture .

One of the best & juiciest pelmeni I’ve ever tried. Olivier was also really nice, with sweet-mild eggy flavours. Medovik was great too. Its cream filling was firm and it really helps when you cut the cake. Well done!

Wow! What a great experience. Really blessed to have such a great representation of Russian food. I have cooked myself a lot but even for me the flavor in few dishes was completely new. I went with my family and we all loved it. My favorite was Olivie salad and the dessert - sirniki. My main was cold which was a shame but I really loved the sauce. Few things what could have been done better is waitresses can wait for a bit before rushing to take plates and more time for bookings. We were rushed to get out of the restaurant after 1.5hours. We booked table for a reason and would like to sit for a bit longer and enjoy the meal. If they could make 2hour bookings that would be great.
