Great pub with multiple levels (recommend the lowest - pub level). Ordering through QR code is great. And it was fast! Fish and chips were delicious - very crispy. Big size is enough for two. Top spot - fully recommend. And good price.

These are some impressively sized pies! The main floor is a great pub for standing around and looking at the use of the River Thames, and the dining room is upstairs. The service was friendly, and I recommend any pie, and you’ll be pleasantly delighted by the generous portion.

This is a nice Thameside pub. It can be overlooked due to the out of place 1970s airport architecture on the outside. On the inside it is a well appointed traditional pub. It can get busy and has a wide range of drinks, a variety of cask ales and all the latest microbrewery gins, ciders and lagers. They have a restaurant upstairs but also do an excellent range of bar food. You can sit inside in winter, though they also have an excellent rear garden with a summerhouse that can be hired for private events. The nicest seats are those at the front by the river, and the Thames side path. The toilets are a bit cramped though.

This was a private party if 4 amazing friends of mine and the rooftop terrace is just magical ! The service is great as well and the finger food was very nice ! I would definitely use this space again as the views are breathtakingly beautiful !

Had dinner and drinks here, place was buzzing! Staff are nice and friendly and food is good. We considered going back because we had a nice experience. Only comment would be maybe to have toilets cleaned every now and then as it can get a bit messy.

Great spot for a cold beer and fish and chips. Food came out quick, bar service was quick. Nice view right on the water.

Love our yearly outing to winter wonderland and it wouldn't be complete without stopping off for a pie and a pint! Very clean venue and really friendly staff. I can only comment on the pies as that's what we have everytime we come but they are amazing and a decent price considering we are in London!

In the roof top is all about the view😍. Friends hire it to have a private birthday party. Drinks🍻🍸 as every other pub.
Food... Well forget!!! The sandwiches were 👎👎
My friend had a laptop and we could play our music 👍

Delicious Steak pie - recommend! Fish and chips was also nice, but the pie wins it all! ♥️

Was looking for a place to meet friends within walking distance from my office and found this establishment with a storied name. Spread over multiple levels including a rooftop but alas the rooftop is only for private events. Nevertheless we settled by the window overlooking the Thames and had a few lagers and appetisers. Had a nice evening but were frankly disappointed that you couldn’t sit on the rooftop which was the main reason for going there.

The location makes it a perfect spot to chill on a beer and river view.. Guinness and some finger food makes the evening with friends or even alone, enjoying the river view. The staffs are friendly and ready to help with servings.

Best thing about this pub resto was its location on the queens walk . Its a typical British outlet ... <br/>We had lunch there . I had the salmon fish cake while my hubby had the fish and chips platter . The meal was fulfilling quite good ... fair price compared to quality ...

Doggett's Coat and Badge pub is a cute little place right next to the river. Having gone for a walk along the Thames, starting from Tower Bridge, it was a good spot to stop off and have a beer. It is cosy and warm, with TV's which no doubt shows sports during the season. There is an element of open plan, but also cute corners for couples. What it also boasts, is that it is an original gin palace with 142 years of botanical heritage. As a gin drinker, this is super interesting, but as it was a quick stop off during out walk, I didn't opt to try the juniper delights on this occasion. I will be back to check it out though.

This is one of my go to pubs when I want a chilled drink by the river all year round. In summer they put out seats next to the river and the beer garden at the back is open. The beer garden may also be open sometimes in the winter with heaters so that people are warm. Even without that area though there is always a lot of space to sit as the pub has several floors and you can have a view of the river even when sitting inside. The back are has leather couches along the walls and there's a separate upstairs dining room as well as another floor that you can book for private functions.<br/><br/>Considering all these different areas and the number of people that could be there at the same time I have to say that the pub does get quite busy at times. It becomes more apparent when everyone is trying to order from the same bar that usually might have only two or three people serving and it can take a while. But they do their best to get to everyone fast and also be quite friendly and nice so I personally don't mind the wait.<br/><br/>The drinks selection is quite good, with several craft beers and ales along with the usual brands and the food is pretty decent. This is definitely my pub of choice in the area as it's easy, convenient and there's always space so if you are looking for a place it may be worth checking it out.

The real hit of this place is the view and the ability to have private functions in the upstairs rooms. I stopped by while strolling around South Bank following the crave for a Sunday roast. It was good, a bit bland, not exceptional and with quite a slow service even if the main room was mostly empty. Not the place I will go back to if I have a choice, but not too bad as a last resort.

Poor service, boring food. I visited this pub a few years ago and enjoyed it then. So was keen to visit it again.<br/>We arrived in the bar downstairs and were guided upstairs to the dining room for food. Here, while waiting at the "please wait to be seated" sign, we were greeted by a less than enthusiastic welcome from the staff member, who obviously didn't want anyone in her area. <br/>It was a nice view, but the service was really disappointing, verging on rude.<br/>The food was pretty tired. Frozen veg. Old mash, not very warm. Pies, okay.<br/>Overall a really disappointing experience, won't go there again.

I went here for a big group event so the organiser had booked out one of the event spaces, there was another larger event going on above us that clearly got all the staffing and care.<br/><br/>I think the one big plus of this was the view and thats about it.<br/><br/>We had one bar in our area and a group of about 30 people, the drinks for the area are a little pricey but you deal with it as it is Southbank.<br/><br/>The food....It seemed that when I finally managed to get the bartender to come back to the bar and not sit out the back with his phone everything I wanted had run out, so he suggested a burger which I agreed too and placed my order, when it finally arrived it really wasn't worth the £11.95 price tag, it tasted like it was cooked about 5 mins prior and just slapped on a bun and brought out to me. <br/><br/>The chips were almost freezing cold and when I went over to complain the bartender yet again was M.I.A so i gave up and just ate the burger before that went cold too.<br/><br/>Overall if someone invited you here just politely decline.<br/><br/>My beers cost £5 and with the £11.95 burger I wasn't impressed, if I had been here for something else and not an event I would of left early.
