Really delicious mezzes and the suvlakis are pretty good too. Ambiance is bustling and service excellent. One annoying thing is that you have to pay £3 extra for a whole pitta with your souvlaki (rather than a half). It was worth it because the pitta was delicious

What a lovely little haven from the rest of soho. I'd leave it at that if I could!

Suvlaki is a titchy site with few covers and a compact but fabulous Greek menu.
The baked feta is warm and soft, with oregano wafting from it. Skewers and wraps good and the burger is a mixture of meats and dunked in tzatziki is heavenly.

Oh and owner Irene is a delight.

I haven’t tried anywhere near enough Greek restaurants in London yet for my liking! This is the longest I’ve ever spent away from Cyprus now and I miss it a lot, especially the food, so it was definitely time for a trip to a local Greek food spot in Soho. I’d walked past Suvlaki a number of times and had seen them doing lots on social media, so I couldn’t wait to try them out.

Really good chicken souvlaki for takeaway. I should have eaten it straight away as it went a bit cold but still really tasty and filling. I went large and got chips too. The oregano salt was a great idea and gave the chips a nice welcome extra

I'm very biased when I hear: "A new Greek kebab place has opened in London" because there are a lot of problems moving the original taste abroad so when I heard there's a place called Suvlaki and the menu has been done by a famous awarded chef, I got excited that this might be different. And to be honest it was different, most of the dishes were very close to what you can find in Greece as the ingredients were top quality and that was reflected in the price. I got disapointed though with the way I got served aka the looks of my plate and with the quantity. Normally I wouldn't be fussed about how my dish would look in a kebab place but the whole idea was "big chef makes menu" so presentation standards went up to match a good restaurant. Also what we ate quantity wise didn't reflect the price. Roughly 25 pounds per person. My suggestion is take 6 skewers and skip the wraps. Best sausage in London so far though.

POh my god real suvlaki and Cretan salad!!!! Ok I will tone down the excitement to write this review. There are lots of restaurants claiming to be 'real' Greek and I must say they are not! This one however definitely is.

The obligatory blue and white and Ionian column theme might be there to honour the cliches but the graffiti on the wall saying 'sex, suvlaki and rock'n'roll' is definitely bringing some tongue in cheek Greek spirit back.

But let's just get to the food. You can choose between a selection of skewers or wraps, get one big one or 3 mini ones. Go for pork, chicken and sausage as lamb is not a suvlaki meat. Lamb is doner meat because some people don't eat pork. Anyway, you can also get a cooked main, I recommend the feta stuffed burgers.

No real Greek meal is complete without sides on the table so definitely get the chips, baked feta, Cretan salad and tzatziki. Depending on how much you want to eat you can have the mini wraps as sides as well and get a proper main course.

For drinks try the Fix beer or the fruity red wine. After your meal you have to order a Greek coffee with sugar. The aroma and flavour of it is beyond belief! No espresso can hold a candle next to it hands down.

As you may have guessed, I plan to go there a lot now that I have found it. Finally a proper Greek street food place like the ones I used to have growing up. You have one very happy Greek person here!!!

Pork skewers are delicious. The pitta bread was just like Pitta Pan. The tzatziki was lacking depth. The tomatoes are a let down .. nothing compares to Greek tomatoes. I found it awkward when placing my order...

I was trying to remember why I hadn’t invited my part Greek friend, The-Hedonist, to join me at Suvlaki.  He cheerily pointed out that since most of the dishes are meat based, it perhaps wouldn’t have been the best place in the world for him to try.  Though there are vegetarian options for both suvlaki and skewers made with Mastelo cheese from Chios and some rather delicious sounding snacks to eat with Ouzo, so he wouldn’t have gone hungry. It is though, mostly about meat, so instead, I met a girlfriend, hoping to catch up a bit on some gossip.

Good food for the price, and nice staff. Tables are slightly small, but can understand wanting to make the most of the space

Love this place! Cosy restaurant where you can see the food being freshly cooked to order! The courgette fritters are to die for and the pork souvlaki is always a winner! This place is perfect if you’re after a cheaper but delicious meal.

I absolutely love this restaurant! Delicious food, exceptional value for money and the staff are amazing. Atmosphere almost loses a point only because I feel like this restaurant could benefit from having an outdoor seating area.

Greek restaurant in Soho with authentic food. Tables are super tiny (ca 50 x 50 cm) but staff is attentive and removes finished plates and dishes in a wiff. Servings are quite small but if you go for a few starters to share you won't leave hungry.

Although not being able to have any seafood at a Greek restaurant sounds a bit disappointing, the food is quite fantastic nevertheless. This place is more of a northern Greek cuisine and I strongly recommend wrapped cabbage leaves which is served with a mind blowing sour sauce. It is not vegetation though, I am afraid but packed with goodies

The most delicious Greek food in London!!! Have been in many others, here in Souvlaki Soho they make everything fresh straight on order, prepared carefully and with love. Minimalistical concept for food is just the new trend! You can feel out all the spices, each dish is a perfection!

Cute ,cosy Restaurant small & friendly, amazing food !!! courgette fritters are a must ,everything was delicious and looks picture perfect, authentic taste even down to the chips. Received complimentary shots of ouzo & a dessert as was a birthday which was delicious. look forward to booking again. My only criticism is tables are quite small & ours was right on the end at back of restaurant by the till n kitchen doors not the greatest seat in the restaurant but all our finished small plates were cleared quickly as service is good so table wasn’t crowded, the service n quality of food was so good it didn’t effect the evening at all, couldn’t recommend enough.

We had lunch at Suvlaki yesterday ,celebrating the end of our sons A levels . So glad we went . Such a lovely little Greek Gem in Soho . The food was so delicious , everything from the Greek salad to the fries and especially the Souvlaki ! Great value and really friendly staff ! They even bought out a sweet treat for us as a surprise for our son at the end of our meal . Would definitely recommend it and we will be back soon ! Thank you 😀

The food is great! I loved the tasty dishes and there are a lot of vegetarian options. Most plates are also a bit small, so I recommend getting multiple ones to get a nice variety. The service was overall ok - the lady in there was very accommodating and wonderful.. But the man seemed a bit annoyed to be there or serve us.

What a lovely surprise... a Greek friend took me here. Utterly delicious taramosalata... colour free so looked weird, but superb to the taste. Delicious gigantes beans stewed for ever in tomato and herbs. Greek salad was tasty but served in a bowl smaller than some ash trays. Pork souvlaki were served in fluffy pittas with tsatsiki and light salad.. again perfectly cooked. 3 delicious lamb chops served with orso and spinach mix and an over large portion of tsatsiki were a bit expensive at 20+ quid for three exquisite succulent mini chops. But again, delicious and perfectly cooked over charcoal in the mini kitchen. Only a limited menu, but I'd rather have a limited but perfect menu than a huge menu of mediocrity. Washed down with a good bottle of red... a delicious lunch
