Superb Sunday lunch with perfectly cooked beef and pork! Well cooked vegetables and perfect Yorkshire Puddings! Good choice of beers, great service and reasonably priced for central London! Only criticism was the cinnamon in the Apple Sauce as could spoil your meal however horseradish cream was lovely!

Great little pub with fantastic service. The bar manager was very engaging and offered for us to try whichever real ale we liked before buying; and there's lots to choose from. Great personal service. The food food was tasty too.

Has great character, great beers, and great folks running it. Had my wedding drinks here and they were amazing, we've had nothing but praises from our guests. Thanks to the Hack and Hop team!

The Hack & Hop Whitefriars is a craft beer lover’s haven in the City of London. Hack & Hop’s sister pub The Old Red Cow has been one of our favourites for a few years so we had high expectations for its craft beer offshoot. Nestled in a small side street off of Fleet Street, the Hack & Hop offers a variety of craft beers from around London and the world.

Exquisite food, friendly and accommodating staff and ambiance! Had a great evening at Hack&Hop, don't expect "pub food" because the food here is a cut above the rest! The house beer is also worth a taste ;)

Great Sunday roast platters and friendly accommodating staff - we didn’t book, but they squeezed us in. And (nice...i.e border collies) dogs are welcome! Good selection of real ale and beers too!

A randomly found gem. Pork belly was unreal. Crispy, melty, smokey, and...fall aparty? The head guy that is bald is super knowledgeable and friendly. All of his food and beer recommendations were great, even to other bars. This guy actually told you what he thought and would tell you what the best food to get was, instead of playing the "well, what do you like?" game. You tell me what is good, I know what I like. He was awesome. Wide beer selection.

Amazing team Christmas lunch. We booked our team Christmas lunch at Hack and Hop and everything was fantastic. There were 28 of us and we had the space upstairs all to ourselves which was great. Everyone loved the food and the service was amazing. So massive thanks to the guys at H&H.

The beer selection is outstandingly excellent (Both lager and ales), the staff is friendly and the burger is thoroughly ok... To be honest, the burger is slightly above average, so while I wouldn't mind going here for food again (Trying something different), it wouldn't be my first choice, but it would definitely be my first choice in the area if I wanted tasty beer.

Great craft beer bar with a large selection. Nice, open and comfortable seating area. Very friendly servers who were kind enough to let me take home a couple of tap handle beer badges as souvenirs. Toilets are up the stairs!

Great selection of beers , unreal food menu and affordable prices makes this place a must if you are anywhere near Temple church. Take what ever they suggest you should drink or eat, don't say I didn't warn you , prepare for long haul 😂

This meal was perfect. Got the feast sharing platter and ashamed to say we couldn't finish it. Beef, pork, chicken, roasties, chorizo scotch egg and all the rest.

Pretty nice place and the Sunday Roast (Chicken or Beef) is great. The service is also quick and profesional. I'll recommend it for sure!

Very good place for a Sunday lunch. It is "way gastro" (more a restaurant than a pub), with table service and waiters asking if everything is OK and for no readily-explained reason has changed its name from the Coach and Horses.

Went in for lunch at 2ish on a Monday, so the atmosphere was very relaxed. The staff were absolutely lovely, and all covid precautions were being followed. Awesome beer menu with a good amount of variety; it's a Portobello brewpub so they always have a few local brews available; I tried the helles and the pilsner and both were very flavoursome! We got pizzas (the vegetarian and diablo) and were super pleased. The toppings were fresh and the crust was chewy-crispy handmade deliciousness. We'll definitely be back :)

Came here for team lunch for 19 of us. We were able to book options ahead of time by email, we sent ahead names and choices and on the day everything was asked. Food was great, we had a dedicated server and there was plenty space for us to seat. One lunch item was pretty delayed because of the volume of orders, but overall the food was awesome, even our veggies were happy :)

Very nice Pub, excellent flair and cosy surrounding. The various beers we tried were fantastic. Got the burger, and I have to say that it was a masterpiece. The Chips are also very delicious (made from whole potatoes). recommend the pub 100%, could come here every day for some more.

Amazing food, great staff, proper beers, fresh and clean decor with footie on the telly too. I've had a great dinner and drink here on a week night and also booked the upstairs for a very successful Sunday roast for 30 people after my wedding. The staff and the menu is amazing and overall this is a great little gem of a place hidden away in the City.

Had this saved as a "want to visit" but couldn't remember why! So I checked it out. My guess it was the selection of beers - excellent real ale from local breweries and a Weiss beer on tap which is rare in the UK. But it also had a great atmosphere - Broad range of punters bursting out onto street even in January. We tried the food - this is listed as a gastropub - not sure it is - this is a proper pub that happens to sell food - which happens to be excellent as well. We tried the burgers - both beef and plant based and both juicy with quality ingredients. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed a Christmas meal here, as well as lots of delicious beer. A good selection of real ale is the driving force behind this review, with the only minor downside a lack of port to go with the cheese board. Beautiful hoppy pale ales that make life worth living. Knowledgeable bar staff with plenty of recommendations too.
