Great place for a night out. Tasty food, friendly/polite staff and amazing atmosphere with gigs playing. Stephen, one of the staff members was really friendly and helped us deciding with food and drinks recommending what turns out to be the best for us. Also, we loved the theme/look of the bar. As mentioned above, a great place for a night out. Thank you.

The trading House is such a great place to dine. I dined there couple of weeks ago and I was treated so well. What really made the experience was the halloumi salad I ordered. It was so delicious I had to get the chefs name. Her name is Shanila and when I tell you how moist and flavoursome it was, you might die. Thank you so much Trading house and thank you Shanila. You really made my day.

I was in the area so I decided to pop in for lunch as I know someone who works here. I ordered the pork belly kebab which not only looked really cool but tasted amazing. A nice place to visit even for a drink.

Mum won a meal for two here in a competition and we went last night, had a fantastic time. The venue looked amazing and was really buzzing. The cocktails were heavenly and the food absolutely delicious. The price they charge for what you get is so, so reasonable. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back as paying customers. Thank you so much Trading House :-)

Found this place by mistake. Could not believe the decor. Amazing. Brilliant service. It was Saturday night so we had the place to ourselves but it made no difference. Back again soon.

We literally happened on this by accident. We were heading to the Anthologist and were intrigued by this non-descript building. It does not shout "we are a pub" at you, which what drew us to it. Having entered the glass doors we were greeted by the most sexy space. High ceilings, central bar, spiral staircase to a gallery, coved ceilings, metalwork, intricate woodwork, just really fantastic features to host a drinks evening. There was one man a guitar playing all your favourite hits and a bar team in white shirts with waistcoats at your service. We dug it. It's a miles better option than the Anthologist! We knocked back a few gin and tonics, danced to the music and had a fantastic eve! Thank you Trading House.

Smuggler's Cove in Liverpool is one of my favourite cocktail bars. It's one of the first places I went to with my boyfriend and, as I found out recently, it holds a world record for stocking a staggering 151 rums in it's bar! . The guys behind Smuggler's Cove also run The the Alchemist in Manchester (known for their chemistry inspired cocktails) and The Botanist in Leeds - so they know a thing or two about running successful bars up North...and now they're bringing that wisdom down here for us Southerners!

When you walk into The Trading House you immediately feel as though you've gone back to colonial era Britain. In fact, if you had arrived in a horse drawn carriage I don't think I would have batted an eyelid! . Think Raj era India, or something from The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, with woman in long floating dresses and expats arriving in the country on boats.

I visited The Trading House last week and had a wonderful meal! I adored the decor - I felt like I was back in colonial Britain. The decor and the approach that this restaurant takes really sets it apart.

The cocktails are delicious! In fact, perhaps too delicious..! They have a spiced cocktail range, to represent the spice trade, but we opted for other drinks - namely the Breakfast Tea-tini which is a must order!

We started with some nibbles instead of full starters - home made houmous with crudites, pork crackling and chipolatas. All very simple dishes in themselves, but done in the most incredible way. I adore simple food that's done well.

For the main event we both ordered from the home comforts section of the menu, option for the chicken and chorizo pie and the scampi and chips. Again, both very simple dishes but done very well. I loved good British pub food, something that I feel London lacks sometimes, but The Trading House steps up and fills that void.

For dessert the strawberry and marshmallow kebab is a must!

All round, a great restaurant and cocktail bar in a very handy location in London.

When Catherine and I were invited to review The Trading House we were told by the PR to meet at one of the exits at Bank station where we would met by a mobile bar. I was expecting a stretch limo and Catherine something involving pedalling and margaritas being mainlined into our veins. I was genuinely thrilled when our mode of transport turned out to be an original 1906 horse-drawn Omnibus that used to run on the Euston route.

A very classy British bar & restaurant. The fish and chips we had probably was one of the best we had in London. The ambience is very classic and the service is highly professional. The wood panelling across the restaurant gives it a beautiful old charm. Will visit again.

I recently had the utmost pleasure of dining at this incredible restaurant. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by its vibrant ambiance, delectable cuisine, and the melodious symphony of live music that resonated throughout the entire evening. The first thing that struck me was the intimate yet trendy atmosphere that immediately set the stage for an unforgettable evening. The restaurant managed to strike the perfect balance between sophistication and comfort, creating an inviting space for patrons to unwind and delight in their gastronomic journey. Let's move on to the main attraction—the food! The menu at the restaurant boasts a tantalizing array of succulent steaks, prepared to absolute perfection. Each bite was a revelation of flavors

I had a lovely experience at this restaurant with a great historical interior design that is very well-hidden from the outside. I was running late for ~20 minutes for my reservation but they still kindly made my reservation valid. Staff was very friendly and the food was great to look at as well as delicious (I was especially fond of the cookie dough oreo!). Would love to come back again!

Fantastic pub/bar with amazing vegan dishes on the menu. Their cauliflower & mushrooms for starters & pumpkin pie for mains were outstanding! Beautifully presented & divine! Vegan or not, it's the winner! Keep up the great work team The Trading House. 👍

Delicious food and friendly service! The Trading House occupies the former home of the Bank of New Zealand and has been sensitively refurbished as a bar and restaurant. A variety of stuffed animals adorn the wood-panelled walls. A great outing in the city.

A very good place right in the area for a quick drink after work. Nice ambience and friendly bar staff. Good food if you fancy something to eat. Gets busy at times and mostly can get a place to grab food if you walk-in.

My aim is to review 50 pubs in London (that I've never been to) in 2020 so here is number 1. So why 5 stars. Well it's a Wednesday night and this place has a gentle but lovely vibe. It's not noise toxic, just very subtle. There was a chap seated at a piano playing and singing oasis. The decor in the evening was beautiful (check out the photos). Staff friendly and plentiful meaning getting served was quick and easy with the massive horseshoe shaped bar. I always think a tidy bar is a good bar. The original reason I came here was to grab a bite to eat but they had just stopped serving (9pm), my bad. I therefore cannot comment on food quality but I did think the prices seemed reasonable off the menu I viewed online. Maybe not for everyone but the 1am close on a Wednesday night may suggest it has plenty of clientele midweek. Enjoy

I ve been in trading house today and i've jad such a beautiful time. The people there was amazing, the bartenders were super polite and kind, trying to satisfy my requets and making sure i was not left without attention. I had a Really good impression from this place, especially the efficency of the managers, the two young and lovely ladies and the awesome italian guy, which were capable to make my day looking wonderful. I really racommend the trading house to who would love to spend some nice and warming time with partner or friends and enjoy the varieties of drinks and food along with live music and good vibes.

The Trading House is a quirky bar and restaurant in the City of London. Once a former bank building, the food, drinks and cocktails are reasonably priced, it's close to bank station and the decor takes the theme of the old world. It's a great place to catch up with friends and one of my favourite places in London.
