Just been to this wonderful pub to have Sunday lunch .The food was incredible the atmosphere was great staff where friendly especially the young blonde lady behind the bar.Would reckomed wb yeats .Oh and by the way the best toilets around
Had easily the tastiest burger of my life here on Thursday night. Also, the finest whisky recommendation ever. Love this place!
Delicious roast beef yesterday.. generous portion, washed down with good choice of ales! Only criticism would be the toast for terrine was over done and too crispy and spiked my palate - Ouch! Wonderful lunch..thank you!
Great staff, very relaxed, delicious food.
Has really come up through the ranks, kitchen has made a difference. I remember this pub as it was in 1989! You could say it is a vast improvement!
Friendliest pub in North London. Amazing food, massive portions and great staff. Have never left without new friends yet!!!
Lovely atmosphere, great choice of roasts which are probably best in the area! I chose the Cumbrian beef but could have easily gone for the pork. Good selection of trimmings and a lovely Guinness to round it off!
Had some great food here on Saturday night with great company. The tempura prawns with wasabi mayo were spot on to start followed by a great battered fish and chip with mushy peas! I sampled a little of everyone's dishes that night and on a whole we couldn't fault it. Comfort food at its best but served with style.
best pie and mash ive had all year. gravy is proper mint. excellent choice of pub for dinner if you are a bloke like me.
only downside is no stella on tap.
Great spot to wile away a Sunday afternoon (or any afternoon for that matter...), good choice of beers, tasty food and friendly staff.
Incredible food, wonderful staff and booze. What more could you ask for?
The food, wine and service were all excellent and there was a good vibe in the pub as well.
Best Sunday roast in Finsbury Park. No doubt about that. Always book if planning a lunchtime slot. Staff are super welcoming and accommodating. Love this pub!
Sunday roast is unbelievably good . I had the beef but food envy still kicked in when the chicken came out .
Went here on Saturday evening for a private function. Amazing place, can't wait to come back and try the food again, the buffet we were served was to die for, the Prosecco perfect and the atmosphere fab. Pathans for a great night. X
Spent my 1st night in London in this pub, the service was friendly and quick, felt very relaxed in the pub and theres not many pubs in London that you can get that relaxed feeling.......As for the food...could not fault it, we got the home cooked burger and fat chips....and when it arrived it looked like it did in the picture, very inviting and I could'nt wait to get stuck in to it,...3 order's and 3 empty plates at the end.
would recommend a visit if you close by........ you will not be disappointed
Friendly staff, great selection of drinks and delicious food all 5 mins from Finsbury Park station, glad we went.
Stunning pub, the food was a huge highlight. Group of 3 for dinner, great atmosphere and lovely staff. The pub was full of families and couples enjoying a Sunday roast! The beef was perfect and probably the best roast I’ve ever had. 10/10 cannot wait to visit again.
Staff was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Love the atmosphere and decor although wished there was more seating outside.
There was live music which was great at first, but quickly became far too loud to the point that it was difficult to hold a conversation with others in the room.
Otherwise, would recommend a visit. Prices were as standard for lagers in this area.
One of the best roasts I’ve ever had in London. The staff were very attentive and food came out quickly and piping hot. I would have their fried potato gratins over the average roast potato any day. Can’t wait to come back again!
Hidden Gem!! Myself & a couple friends have been twice now for Sunday Roasts! The food is honestly so so good, portion sizes are ample. The staff are as friendly as you'd like. Guinness is 10/10. Highly recommend checking it out
🚇 Finsbury Park
🍺 £5.75 Madri
❤️ A delightful Finsbury Park boozer with a hint of the Emerald Isle.
.
The WB Yeats is located on a quiet residential street in Finsbury Park. The nearest tube is Finsbury Park, Crouch Hill overground is also close by.
.
This pub is named after the famous Irish poet and dramatist WB Yeats. He was a popular and political figure in Ireland at the turn of the 20th century. This pub was renamed in 2013 and was originally called The Duke Edinburgh and built in 1872. This pub is owned by the same Irish owner that runs The Auld Shillelagh in Stoke Newington, so you know you’re in good hands.
.
The decor here is traditional with a few contemporary touches. The floor is stripped wood, the walls a deep green and the bar is a good size and had a metro tiled splashback. Around the walls are pictures and mirrors of WB Yeats along with some antique bric-à-brac. There are a few TV’s if you want to catch the footy.
.
The beer choice was good, I was going to try the Guinness but it was a warm day so I decided on a Madri. My pint was enjoyable and under six quid which made a nice change.
.
The atmosphere was chilled on this Friday afternoon, the majority of punters were sat outside on the benches at the front. I was served by a friendly chap, he was chatting to the locals as they came in for top ups from outside. There are music nights throughout the month if you fancy some live entertainment, check out their insta for whats on.
.
My Irish parents lived in Finsbury Park when they emigrated here from Ireland in the 60’s. That generation have grown old and nowadays you hardly hear an Irish accent in this once Irish enclave of London. The @wbyeatsn4 is a modern day pub which has Irish hospitality at its core, this is a decent pub and well worth your patronage.

Met a friend for Sunday Roast here. Fantastic food and awesome atmosphere. The staff where incredibly attentive and just on it.
Would highly recommend.
Lovely small pub near Finsbury Park train station. Good atmosphere on weeknights with a mix of people drinking after work, groups of mates and dates. Very cosy on the weekends. Supports a local 5 a side league too. Sport on TV so busy when Arsenal play.
Busy and lovely on match day. Service at bar very haphazard - whatever the priorities it wasn't first come first served and not oldest woman either! Otherwise a great place and good 🍺
Staff are lovely. Pints are okay. Decor is aging nicely. Only problem is the fact the speakers are up to their highest every time. Does really limit ability for conversation, which is a shame in a pub designed for it.
Came here for the Sunday roast and it didn’t disappoint. We had the beef and pork. The slow cooked pork shoulder was a juicy thick cut, super tender and went really well with the caramelized apple. Staff were friendly but service was a bit slow (waited over half an hour for our food even though it was 3pm) thus I’m only giving 4 stars.
I find this pub quite loud. The music needs to be turned down to half the volume it's at. Other than that it has a lovely little out door area, which will be lovely in the summer. The drinks are standard London gastro pub prices, approx £10 for a pint and gin and tonic. Loads of seating so not a problem with finding space to sit. Really nice staff.
Popped in for a few drinks while in Hackney visiting my son. Decent pub. Very busy. Had a great time.
Lovely spot to meet friends and grab a tasty creamy pint
Great pub with a really nice selection of drinks. Cosy interior with a small outdoor area as well
Hands down one of the best roasts I have had, everything on the plate was absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.
Went in here for some beer and some wine. Being a pub, they were well placed to meet our needs. One thing was bad though, the IPA was ice cold. Cold IPA gives me the full fear. What the hell is it about. Still, I guess there are plenty of numpties who simply adore ice cold IPA. Those guys don't really drink though. Just get a St Clements and settle down, that's my advice to them. Anyway, nice pub.
Nice pub and very good food, staff kind and friendly, good atmosphere recommended
Lovely little pub with great music on a Sunday 😁
