Food was delicious, fast especially the mussels, but the waiter was a bit confused with order. The ambiance was a bit noisy, and the place looked small but it was very comfortable at the restaurant.

Unexpectedly very good and fresh mussels! Love the Traditionelle (garlic, celery, onion, butter, white wine) but the Smoked Chorizo (chorizo with parsley) also offers a very splendid taste. Will definitely come back and try the other mussel pots sauces.

If you love mussels and beer, then you definitely have to pay a visit to belgo's. It's been a while since I've last gone, but every time I have been, I've always left very satisfied. Depending on what time you go, it can get really busy, but if time is on your side and your willing to wait with a pint, you won't be disappointed. Definitely recommended a visit if you're in the west end.

Had a team dinner here last night and it was just fantastic. Super nice staff and the food was brilliant. Tried the sweet, sticky, smoky chicken with double fried fries (yeah awesome mkt) and loved them. The starters were also good with some nice melted cheese. Ah! Shouldn't forget to mention the variety of beers available, hundreds! In summary, would definitely return with some friends.
Side note: bit too noisy in the main dinning room, luckily we got a table at a separate room.
I've been to Belgo few times and I always have their mussels with fries, it goes to show that they are tasty and I don't want to even try other stuff. Ah and I also like their flavoured beer which not many restaurants have on their menu. The only thing is I'm not keen on the whole style or decor of the restaurant...
Mussels, frite and beer - what's not to like? Good choice after a lazy stroll through the city. Good level of service and not bad food to go with it either.

Anyway, two things that you need to bring along with you when you go dowm Belgo, to be hungry and thirsty !!! And I can do that at any given time... The moules are really good and freshs (which the opposite will be a surprise, with the turn over, over there...)
So, many good combinaisons with beers and mussels...
My Favourite all time is Moules Marinieres, with just a little bit of double creme at the end, and some freshly ground black pepper !!! Strongly recommande for a good rainin Sunday aferternoon... And do no forget les frites also...

Belgo was one of the first places I visited when I moved to London. I was told that if I wanted fresh Mussels, the chain was well worth a visit. I'd been to Belgium and had the famous Moules frites (mussels and fries), so I was expecting a lot. As we walked in the smell of the seafood was irresistible, the buckets tempting and the atmosphere uplifting. We sat and couldn't help but order the bucket of Mussels cooked Thai style, a plate of specialty herb and garlic Mussels and our delectable carbs to soak up the flavors that were left when the mussels dissapeared. A tasty lunch indeed followed by a stroll around Covent Garden, what more can you ask for?
Great place to go with a group of friends! To have fun and enjoy.

Love this place lively atmosphere and polite staff bringing you some fantastic belgian beers and not forgetting the moules frites(kilo pot of course), garlic mayo and rye bread to mop up the sauce. Hello, Im back to Zomato with this stunninv restaurant. I have tried here so many times and never get bored of it. But this is my first time in Belgo Covent Garden. Yeb, you should be this place especial for beer. I love peach beer and I can drink it as soft drink haha. The food is just so so so yummy. Bread with pate is my all time favourite and although the highlight of the meal. My friends and I can sound as loud as we can here. The place is not the same as anywhere else in England. Lovee itttt

Took my mum and girlfriend here. It's in Covent garden, it's industrial the muscles and beer are spot on. Perfect for anyone looking to eat central in a trendy/moderately classy environment.

Wonderful all around. Such a great experience! I was visiting London without the time to actually go to Belgium, so I did the next best thing...went to Belgo! They have a great beer selection and the mussels are a must when here. I would go back in a heartbeat.
The only problem was that the staff was a obviously pushy for us to leave because they wanted to give our table to someone else. Although I find this unacceptable because we racked up a large bill, I enjoyed everything else enough to look past it for now.
Took our two kids here and we all had a fantastic time. They were especially attentive to the kids! We'll definitely be back.
Love this place! Have returned here more times that I can remember. Underground cavern with great atmosphere, this vast treasure under covent garden is just superb for couples, groups or even parties. Great selection of 100s of Belgian beers, yet it's the food that brings me back. Very friendly place, be prepared to share a table, it's a great atmosphere with excellent staff. Menu is for all and not just mussels and chips, but theirs is the best in town. Only criticism is the heat in the summer can be unbearable, but everything else is outstanding. My kinda place!

Perfect. My wife and I went here twice on our honeymoon. It is a main reason that we want to travel back to London. The mussels were just delicious, the staff was fun, and the beer was cold. The verboten vrukt (forbidden fruit) beer is my favorite of all time.

I was recently invited to this delicious taste test of lobster goodness.
Who knew you could mussels in so many different ways! Belgo has a very large dining area which offers a family friendly atmosphere and the food is perfect for sharing! The range of beers is impressive. However the service could be better as it was hard to get the attention of the waitstaff and we were brought duplicates of our order.
This restaurant located in a posh are of the city is great on value for money. The ambiance is pleasant and the menu offers a good range of Belgian beers which are awesome. In my opinion it makes for the perfect stop before catching a movie or a play. The food here has never disappointed me and is always delightful. It is served in appropriate time too.

This place is always very busy and usually needs a reservation. However, we were lucky to manage a table without any difficulty. The food was fantastic and had some great flavours and taste. The drinks list was fabulous too. The atmosphere was very enjoyable and relaxing. In my opinion this place was priced very reasonably for this city!

Already much worried about my increasing expenses from staying abroad , I got to know of this restaurant from my guidebook. It served 2 of my favourite dishes: seafood and Belgian beer at a great price. The place was nice and different. The servers were dressed like Belgian monks and the walls were lined with kegs of delicious Belgian beer. I loved the industrial interior. The place had co-ed bathrooms, which for me was another different yet safe experience. The staff was friendly, agreed to let me take a picture with them. Even the food was great, traditional mussels served with white wine, celery, onion and garlic with fries and side of mayo. Great value for money. In love with the place.
I had a great experience and meal here. I must add the mussels here are by far the best. The Thai green curry mussels are by far the best bet here. The sauce was filled with flavors and the mussels were cooked just right. It has a portion of chips to go along with it.
The other food was good too, but not as great as the Thai green curry mussels.
I have been to this restaurant a few times and have loved everything about this place each time. The food is to die for. The portions are adequate and the prices are reasonable. They have a vast food and beer menu with a lot to choose from. I have tried the meat and the salad dishes and have been really impressed. Definitely recommended.
Most people find my reviews of this place to be fabricated fantasies born of an overactive imagination. The weird concept of this place like:
1) The bathroom is uni-sex and the communal faucet is like a fountain.
2) All the servers are dressed like monks.
3) You pay based on what time of the day it is.
However, I will say that this place is surely a hit to bring out of town visitors and very lively for group outings. The beer selection is far more than excellent. Now that i have a loyalty card as well, I would surely be visiting it more often.

My absolute favourite in this part of the city! It has a great ambience and the food never lets you down every time you go there. My recommended few are the traditional moules et frites, croquettes, confit duck salad. And for dessert it has to be Belgian waffles. They have a fantastic selection of fruit beers to chug on!
I recently visited this place and really liked their central seating area which is on the lower level and is more like canteen styled with long tables and benches. I also liked the concept regarding their food and loved their drinks to the fullest. The ambience was very good and the lighting was dim - just the way I like. I had mongozo banana beer which was very exotic and exciting. They had a lot of options regarding the fruity beers and I wanted to try all of those and in fact, I did some of them. I also had their speciality - the mussels which were above regular. I am returning soon to try their other varieties.

This festival is a tradition since 1998 and I highly recommend it. One always comes back for more lobster, great beer and more mussels. Just remember that for every lobster dish you have, this place will donate some money to the National lobster hatchery to support their buy, one set one free initiative.

At the risk of stating the obvious, eating out with a large group is a very different affair from dining by yourself or with a small group of friends. It is a restaurant that is not too expensive if you find enough covers and it doesn't have a lot of booking requirements. The menu is reasonable and the quality of food is good.
I absolutely adore this place! I have been here several times and have always found the atmosphere to be lovely! This hidden treasure, located under Covent Gardens is perfect for couples or even parties.

I went to this restaurant after a very long time and this place has made a lot of development. If you are planning to visit this place, then I must recommend you all to make a reservation otherwise yo may have to wait for a very long time in their bar, however, I didn't have to wait for long and quickly got a table. I had mussels and fries which weren't good and I was very unimpressed with the food. The service though was quick and the atmosphere was also a lively one.
If you like an 'all you can eat' menu and are a great fan of mussels, then this place is a must visit!
There is just one downside to the entire experience and that is that it is always rammed with people and the crowd can be a little intolerable and noisy at times.
However, it is still a fun place to visit if you are in the neighbourhood.

Belgo is full of surprises.
The interiors can be weekend friendly as well as close to fine dine. The restaurant covers the basement area and has huge dining space. The space is divided in two, where large portion is casual dine-in. Huge benches&table with ceiling of larges duct pipes. The ambience is raw and friendly. The casual side of dining can be loud and little noisy, but you may end up loving it and making new friends. You enter the dining area witnessing the front kitchen area. I believe it holds its customers right there to want/see more and bond is strengthen as you check the service. Staff is friendly, soft and truly to serve. They have unique color codes and uniforms-interesting!
I visited this place Friday late evenings and stuffed myself with amazing mussels pots and king prawns.
They serve meat and other dishes but sea-food is must have here. Varieties of drinks are served and has interesting serving-ware for each item. Menu is has variety even if limited. The desserts are few to pick on, also simple but one can truly indulge on.
I tried classic mussel pot, also platter with king prawn starter. I loved all of them they were exactly the way it should be, served well and tasty. Ice cream is a must here.
Over all it’s a place to have fun with friends, great way to start weekend with some amazing food. It will be always in ‘visits again’ list.

I very recently visited Belgo with my boyfriend whilst searching for a restaurant to eat in in Covent Garden last Friday evening.
We stumbled across the place after reading Hawksmoor's menu, which made my boyfriend very hungry due to the copious amount of (very expensive) steak on offer. We crossed the street and sat in Belgo's bar to have a quick drink whilst we chose where to eat! After a while we realised it was also a restaurant due to the huge amount of people waiting for be called for their tables and turning up for reservations.
Having taken a look at the menu we were sold! In particular by the steak, burger and desserts on offer! From this point on it all became very exciting! The atmosphere was lively. Music filled the bar along with the copius amounts of customers waiting to eat! This was a good sign, it must be good!
The decor of the place was also very stimulating! Metal framework and mesh filled the bar and corridor opposite the reception desk, very unique! We hadn't seen many restaurants with this style decor! Theatrically modern!
...And theatrical it was! We first of all felt like we were in some sort of futuristic movie having been a mobile phone looking device that vibrates and rings when you're table is ready! We then were taken downstairs to the restaurant and wow it was like we were taken back in time! The place was huge with two separate eating areas at both ends, the open viewed kitchen located in the middle of the two. Both were bustling full of customers! It was obvious from scanning the room that it was suited to a variety of people from families, groups of lads, couples and businesses! We were all seated on bench like tables (feeling medieval - feast like) or small individual tables, very cosy and intimate! The staff were also theatrical, some dressed in traditional Belgian outfits! My eyes couldn't stay in one place!
The menu was simple, a small range of tasty foods on offer! We ordered bread and olives to start which arrived extremely quickly followed by steak and a burger! The menu also offered an extensive range of mussels, a specialty of theirs! As a non-fishy person, mussels aren't my thing, but for mussel lovers this would be heaven! The portions are absolutely huge; the rest of the meals are of adequate sizes also! Overall the food was lovely, we thoroughly enjoyed it!
Although they were very busy the staff weren't intrusive in any way and allowed us to sit at our table for as long as we want without imposing any pressure on us to move! We sat and soaked up the convivial atmosphere noticing lots of quirky aspects of the restaurant! They even serve a Belgian beer in a test tube style glass on a test tube rack...awesome!
The dessert sounded way too tempting and so we ordered a Belgian Waffle with double chocolate ice cream and raspberries to share despite our very full stomachs! This was the only disappointing part of the meal. It was okay but a bit nondescript, a disappointing finish to a lovely meal!
However the dessert didn't dampen our moods or alter our views on the restaurant! I already can't wait to go back and bring along people to visit!

If you ever wonder how much mussels you get with “beat the clock deal” from Belgo‘s 1/2 kilo here it is. With a choice of 2 flavours Traditionelle or Provençale with frites, it’s a no-brainer.
I’ve been meaning to go here for a while, never tried Belgium food. When my friend comes over from Belgium I ask her if it taste authentic. There’s this deal going on, an express menu for those who beat the clock, from 5-6:30pm whatever time you order your food you will pay that price for the food. We initially wanted to go to the Covent garden branch, but the kitchen broken down, so we had to hurry along to the holborn branch.
My friends picked the pork sausage and mash while I chose spit roast chicken and frites. O my when my dishes came out I was in for a shock I was given a whole chicken, topped with mushrooms and a creamy mushroom sauce. Then the frites came out, it was so huge I had to give some to my friends and there was plenty left over. The chicken was a little bit dry especially when it came to the breast, the mushrooms were nice and sauce was very subtle.
My friends sausage and mash was tasty, but portion was much smaller than mine. Equally as tasty.
Overall the food was ok and the bill were under £10 per person.
Being belgian I had high expectations from this place I can't fault the beer menu its very good; the food was ok it didn't meet my expectations and the place to crowded; benches are not very comfy but didn't need a booking so I am not going to complain to much as it can be tricky to find a place to eat in covent garden without a booking on a Saturday night
I won't lie, Belgo is my place to go if I can't get a reservation anywhere. The range of beers are incredible, the entrance to this particular branch is beautiful. It does get very crowded but I think the service is pretty good for a place that's as big and packed as this. As for the food, it's good, but not great. Large portions, good for a regular bite but not AMAZING. The beer selection solely makes this place incredible. It's the perfect place to go to if you want to have a night out with a lot of friends, drink and want some reasonable, decent food.
This is located in Covent garden in an old warehouse. The atmosphere was amazing and it was really busy, which is always good.
I had the steak frites and it was really nice!! Apparently the beers are really good (but strong!) but I had wine. Because its so busy, there's not enough staff but its to be expected.
The only downside was sitting on benches right next to other people - I felt my privacy was being invaded whilst I ate. I still loved this place though and it's a great place to return to!
Excellent collection of Banksy’s most renowned prints and works made for and sold to the commercial market. Well worth a visit for any Banksy or street art fan.
Very interesting audio tour that gave good insight into the works and artist, whilst the space itself was well mapped out and not too busy.

A comprehensive exhibition with a chronological layout showcasing a wide variety of Banksy’s work over the years. Some of his most iconic work is exhibited alongside a series of though provoking and satiric political quotes from Banksy and his peers. The art sheds new light on the thought-process and experimentation of medium for this brilliant artist.
A great experience and really pleased we went. Cool to see original work by Banksy. I want my ow now!!
I was looking forward to it! I really enjoyed!, easy to get there, staff was very friendly and helpful as I use an stick as well as my partner and we both were taken in a elevator.
Pretty quiet at 1:30 pm on a tuesday, easy to go around, plenty time to look and look and think.
I took some pictures of my favourites and I managed to see some others for the first time, most pictures have a bit of history besides each of them for ppl to read and learn.
Banksy ONLY ONE! worth it!
Brilliant exhibit. Learnt some things I didn’t know about Banksy & how some of his works came to be. Really liked the walk round lay out too & was able to enjoy at our own pace as very quiet when we went. Nice little gift shop at end too.
I went today with my wife, the exhibition was much better that I imagined it would be. The staff were very courteous and well informed. The event was money well spent. I have seen some of the originals in Shoreditch back-in 2002-3. I even have a Xmas card bought at a gallery in Shoreditch in 2003
So glad my trip to the UK coincided with this exhibition. Have been intrigued by Banksy since I saw the documentary, Exit Through The Gift Shop. It was one of the highlights of my trip! Highly recommended!
Fantastic exhibition, it was really interesting to find out about Banksy's journey and how he uses his art to raise awareness about injustice. I came out feeling like I wanted to create art which is always a good sign that something has moved you in some way. Would highly recommend.
