Had a great meal here last night again with wonderful service from Max and his team. There was a very pleasant buzz, good wine and lovely food- the vitello tonnato and endive salad were quite special. We will be back, thanks Max and team!

Italian food done well! Great cocktails and wine recommendations, with amazing food to accompany! Burratina was a fresh starter, showcasing the delicate cheese, as was the gnocchi with the mussels being some of the most plump and sweetest I have had in London. The guinea fowl main and beef ragu were both full of flavour and hearty pairing great with the Cabernet Sauvignon. The amaretto tiramisu to finish was perfect with distinct textures on each layer. Went down well with port and Amaro! To top all this off, the wait staff could not be more helpful and attentive with their honest friendliness!

I have been there a few weeks a go for the first time, the food is very good in terms of quality and availability, and the care that the owner ( i guess so ) pay to each costumer is considerable, . I felt to be back in Italy for the atmosphere and the care offered . It can be considered a bit priced but half of the dishes are based on fish/sea food.

A wonderful restaurant, my favourite dish is the pan-fried calves liver with butter and sage. The selection of wines are excellent and the panacotta is wonderful. We really enjoy our visits to Canonbury Kitchen and like on so many occasions and Max and the staff have always made us feel comfortable and never let us down, especially on the food! Thank you.

Quaint, rustic vibes. Food is delicious. Start with some calamari or black ink ravioli, move on to a main course of guinea fowl breast or spaghetti with tiger prawns. Perfect place for a date or special occasion celebration. Owners are super nice and seem to know everyone who comes through the doors.

Far down upper street away from the bustle of the bars full of people is The Canonbury Kitchen not the most likely selection as it's barely noticeable from the main road. It is well priced with has become my favourite in the area. The food is fantastic. from a lovely selection of pastas (including homemade ravioli) to a succulent sea bass and great honey glazed guinea fowl. The staff are not just good at their job, they are pleasant, kind and have a good sense of humour. All of this is a bonus to the well designed menu. Very tasty, it's worth going with a few people and getting as many dishes as you can to share. Everything on the menu is worth a taste.

Max and the team at Canonbury Kitchen provide an authentic and absolutely delicious Italian dining experience. The staff are incredibly warm and personable. You don't feel as though you're being rushed in and out, and can truly enjoy your meal. Highly recommend the housemade pasta and the baked aubergine or steak. They also have tasty rotating specials which are always worth a try. (Make sure you leave room for the chocolate mousse cake)! Max has also curated a brilliant wine list with the Puglia Primitivo being a favourite of ours. We've been to Max's for both date night and large family meals and always left very happy and actively planning our return.

This is our go to restaurant in the area. If you like cheap, go elsewhere. If you like quality, come here. And even if you turn up without a booking, there’s a pub next door but one that does a mean cocktail and the staff will come and get you when a table comes free. Dare I say is better than Trullo?!

Absolute Gem off Canonbury Sq Discovered this place 4 years ago by chance, love it. Traditionally Italian, with a variety of Vegetarian, Meat and Fish dishes for each course. The staff are attentive, but not overbearing and the wine selection is good. Many reviews say that the menu is expensive, it's marginally more expensive than Jamie's or any of the chains, but the food quality and atmosphere is much better.

I love it! The linguine was jouissance. Sometimes I wish I could cook this and open a rival restaurants that only sold this linguine. My mother can't cook this well and she was the best cook I knew before the car accident. Would definitely go again. 5/7

Absolutely love this restaurant. The service is amazing, when my boyfriend and I come we always get “our” table and the food is so good. Best burrata in London.

The interior is nice and cozy, the staff is very friendly and you can clearly see that they run this place with passion. The food is good and very fresh. The mains are slightly too expensive as they come without a side.

Simple, fantastically cooked and incredibly flavoursome. One of those restaurants that you come out of glowing. Service is a lot of fun too. Great place.

This little restaurant was a big surprise for me, it's always very quiet so I didn't expect the food to be that good. The Canonbury Kitchen is probably one of the best italian restaurants in Angel, they don't have all the traditional italian dishes that you would find at the restaurants in Upper Street however they are much better. I had a seafood risotto for main which was probably one of the nicest risottos I have had in a long time, it was just right. My fiancee had a seafood linguine which was also delicious. The place is small and very cozy and the decor is sleek and elegant at the same time. Service is great, the waitresses were very friendly and paid attention to every detail. The price is good, it is a bit more expensive than the italian restaurants you find on upper street but then it's proper italian food.
