You can't get out of Chinatown without feeling hungry and sampling the food there. Was strolling around the theater area and ended up wandering into Chinatown. Once there, we couldn't get out unless we had eaten. A friend wanted to sample some duck and so we landed at Wan Chai after not being able to control our hunger pangs.
We ordered the Stir Fried Noodles with Shredded Pork and Fried Duck Slices with lemon. Both were good and filling and accompanied with a pot of Jasmine Tea.We sat there long and chatted and weren't disturbed or asked to hurry up even though the place kept filling up.
Overall, a nice evening and an enjoyable meal.

Any visit to London remains incomplete unless the awesome food in China Town makes away to our ever-hungry stomach! 🍱🍲🍻😋
So here we were this time at Wan Chai Corner on the other end of Gerard Street, savouring:
1. Stir fried soft noodles with shredded pork
2. Roast Pork in BBQ sauce
3. Fried duck slices with green chilli and black bean sauce
We also ordered a simple egg fried rice which was absolutely full of flavour and tastes awesome, though being just a fried rice.
Stars of the show were ofcourse the duck - perfectly cooked and mingled with the black bean sauce and tastes awesome!
So was the Roast Pork - the taste was transported us to heaven or something like that. 😂
Among many places in China Town, I absolutely recommend this small restaurant. I would suggest to skip the other standard buffet or 'eat you can' places.

Went there for team dinner, we got a really small table for 11 people and we squeezed in. Ordered food to share, they have a lot of veggie options too. Food was good. We also tried chinese liquor which tastes like rose milk!

Good points I observed:
- Tasty. I ordered various dimsum menu and roasted pork. All of them are tasty and suit my asian tounge. My favorite is their Cheong Fan, Steamed Pork Ribs, and Vietnam Roll.
- Very fast service
- The price can be considered as cheap compared with the portion.
Improvement points:
- No significant points which should be immediately improved noted.
A staple place to stop by for either a quick lunch or a late lunch. Their Shui mai & their cheung fun are the best part of the dim sum menu.
I loved their lobster with noodle dish! The lobster is nicely cooked with ginger and spring onion and the meat came off easily. I and my boyfriend agreed that it is as good as the lobster in burger and lobsters. We also ordered duck with pancake and soup with 3 types of egg. The food arrived pretty quickly and we should've asked to get them in stages because some of them get cold after a while. Service was fairly good for a Chinese restaurant (I tend to feel that Chinese places are not the friendliest place and they tend to rush you!)
A prominent location in Chinatown but surprisingly decent food and moderate prices at dinnertime. Service isn't as rude or indifferent as one would expect!

My recent soup noodle experiences haven't been good reaching a nadir with the shockingly awful wonton noodles at Cha Cha Moon . With that in mind, I decided to go old school with a visit to Wan Chai Corner - on the corner of Gerrard St and Gerrard Place -
If your a bit confused when going to China town about where to go, this place normally the first restaurant you see is actually one of the best options. Big potions of tasty fresh food and cheaper than some of the swankier looking places.. If it's busy it normally means it's one of the best. This place is.
I happened to try this place for it's chinese and it was quite an experience. The dim sums are excellent and the other options on the menu are quite good as well. I would not tag this place as reasonable or expensive as there are different price range of different dishes. Overall this is a wonderful experience as the quality of food offered here is just awesome.
I have visited this place a couple of times previously, and had a nice time each time around. I really enjoy lunching here because it is quite inexpensive and delicious. They also have a very nice and varied dim sum menu, and I especially prefer the fried ones. I also ran into a very well known restaurant critic while dining here, so that is also a good sign. I am really glad I come here.
We decided to go here after a lot of deliberation since we all our other regular places were full. We found the menu here to be quite varied and extensive and the presentation of the food to be quite great. The staff was warm and friendly as soon as we entered and we were seated promptly. If you want to go for lunch, then I would recommend you going there. The portions offered are quite generous and the prices charged for it are in a reasonable range. I was so glad I chose this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. We chose the dishes to order carefully as the menu was elaborate enough to have detailed pictures. The staff is amicable and helpful. I would definitely go back here for a second visit! My partner relished the Chinese dishes even though they were high on MSG
I was born and brought up in an Asian country, so I have a very discerning taste when it comes to Asian food. I went to try this place at the insistence of my father, and I was very surprised by high quality and authentic taste of the food served here. The portions are enormous, and the prices reasonable. The food is some of the best Asian cuisines I have tried in this city. I have tried everything from the Singapore noodles to the duck, and I cannot compliment them enough.
I have visited this place umpteen number of times now, and not even once have I encountered a bad tasting dish. The staff is efficient as the food arrives in time for being hogged onto. The toilets could have been upgraded exactly how the interiors have been worked on. other than this, this place is the cheapest Chinese joint.
It has been ages and I am a regular customer of this place.
The food is utterly delicious and fresh too. The service is also very good. You must try dumplings there.

I went here with my family and we ordered just enough for the four of us only to realise the servings were so huge that they could have been served to 2 other people as well! I would go back to this place again only for the generous quantity of food on offer.
We decided to grab a quick bite and therefore, went to this restaurant to have an early meal before going for the movie. It is our favourite restaurant due to to the quality of the food served as well as the prices charged for it. The quality of the food has always been impeccable and the prices are also in a fairly reasonable range. I would strongly recommend everyone to stop at this place sometime.
This restaurant is one of the best in area. We visited this place quite late and managed to get a table immediately. We went ahead with ordering the set-menu which is totally worth the price as there is plenty of food. The quality and standard of food is good but not great. Talking of ambiance, the cleanliness aspect is average and the washrooms are in a terrible state. The service is excellent with friendly staff. In all, a great meal.
I was a bit apprehensive when my friend recommended this place for dim-sums. I let my friend choose the food that was supposed to be ordered. She ordered eight varieties of dim-sums. To my surprise, the dim-sums were delicious and very appetizing. I was impressed with the food and also met the chef, who was very creative and talented. A must-visit.
The food here is rather decent and has good enjoyable flavors. I felt the prices were also very reasonable for a meal during dinner time. I had expected the staff to be a little insolent but they were quite contrary to what I thought. In all it exceeded my expectations!
Really nice Chinese food, quick to arrive and tasty. Service was good. It can get a little noisy in there and crammed. There are 3 floors too. I recommended the crispy pork belly, fried crispy seafood and mixed meat noodles, Thai chicken feet and fried squid fish cakes. The total for this was around £124 including service charge (not including the crispy pork belly in the photos which we took as takeaway). This was for 5 people.
An agreeable yumcha dumpling experience. The siomay, prawns, and chives dumplings were faultless; although the beef meatballs lacked texture and density. My favourites of tripe with spicy pepper and the chicken feet did not disappoint. Service was prompt and friendly.
This is our all-time favourite Dim Sum/ Hong Kong Restaurant in London Chinatown. A trip to Chinatown would not be complete without visiting this restaurant. The Dim Sum were all freshly steamed and brought to our table piping hot. The prawn in the dim sum was generous and fresh. We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who enjoys Dim Sum 🥟.
This is my go to all time fav restaurant in China Town. I always take friends and family when they come to visit. The food is always good. The service always quick and the prices are reasonable as well. The mixed meat and seafood crispy noodles are to die for - don’t forget the chilli oil 😉
A fair choice for dim sum but certainly not the best. Why? The noodle dishes are generously portioned compared with other restaurants in the area (I’m looking at you Dumplings Legend). We had the beef and black bean sauce hor fun and the mixed meat and seafood crispy noodles. The dim sum is not the best (this is where somewhere like Royal China is better). For example, Thai style chicken feet were too soft and some of the dumplings such as the har gow were a bit floury. Service was friendly and efficient.
Vegetarian review - There are multiple vegetarian dim sum options which are marked in the menu. The food was quick, hot, and tasty. The fried items were crispy and light. The service was friendly and fast, and the prices are reasonable. I visited for dim sum on a quiet Saturday afternoon and easily got a table on the ground floor.
The only thing I think could be improved are the toilets which were not super clean.
Fyi if you are in a wheelchair the toilets are not accessible as they are either up one floor or down one floor via stairs.
My friend convinced me to eat here saying that there are many Chinese grandma and grandpas come here and stay for the entire afternoon, so the food must be good.
We went there and did enjoy the food a lot. Especially the dry friend beef rice noodles, I order this a lot when I’m eating out because it is difficult to make at home. This one does not fail my expectation.
Dim sums are delicious. The Salty egg yolk bun (流沙包）has a very strong taste of the salted egg yolk, which is quite special, probably made here.
All the rest of the foods are great except the crispy pork belly, not crispy when served. And the special fried rice (揚州炒飯) is a bit wet and mushy.
Service is ok, considering they don’t have much staffs. But at the beginning they served the wrong tea.
As 5 people we ordered a bit too much, but was only £23 per person in the end.
The veggie Singapore noodle was delicious, just the right amount of spice. It was a nice size portion and very fresh, the peppers, onions and bean sprouts were crunchy. The food came out quick.
The place was clean, they changed the table linens after every customer, the staff were very efficient.
Our favourite restaurant in Chinatown. We always go for their roasted duck, it is so good and juicy.

I have been living in London for more than 30 yrs and not very keen using tourist restaurants but I took some friends who visited London visited this restaurant I can say food was fantastic literally . The dear waiter in second floor Ben was so good I his service was so high level we had lunch. Thank you Ben , waiter on second floor All waiter should learn from him he is example !!
Unbelievable quality of food. The service was excellent and the staff were very polite. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for dim sum and the meat selection (duck, pork, Belly pork).
Fantastic, delicious and authentic Chinese (Cantonese) restaurant in Chinatown with super friendly staff and quick service at very reasonable prices.
We came here for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon with my friend and his family/kids and were seated immediately at a nice table by the window with great views of Chinatown outside.
Food-wise we ordered some Prawn Har Gau Dim Sum, sesame prawn toast, egg-fried rice, Char Siu Pork, Crispy Noodles with Vegetables, Seaweed and Pork Belly along with some traditional China Tea - every dish was absolutely delicious and came out really quickly.
Highly recommended - we will definitely be coming back very soon.
I think it depends on what you order really. I've been here few times. Some dishses might not be as good as the others in China Town however the roast duck is superb. Dim sum is also very tasty.
London Chinatown is very busy and there are (perhaps) an overwhelming amount of very similar restaurants to choose from for a meal. I have come to Wan Chai Corner several times and have always enjoyed their food, reasonable pricing, terse and efficient (but polite) service. If you are looking for good Chinese food like BBQ, fried rice, vegetables, wok dishes, stir fry etc. come here over other spots, you’ll be content.
