I've been there with my friends for dinner last night, the best thai I ever tried, the best calamari in london and the jasmine beef rib.. The service was excellent, Chiara and Stella were amazing!!!
The best thai food in London, every time I visit busaba I really enjoy the food and always ordering different dishes but calamari I can say is the best!!
I visited Busaba on friday night.even the place was packed with long queue we were given a table in just 10 minutes! We had great food and Joanna is just amazing with great sense of humour! Will come back for sure!
Fantastic food we loved it, It was our first visit and we ordered the lunch menu. I really want sure if I would like the tea but we bothoved it. We will defiantly be visiting again
Top marks to Marco in Covent Garden! Excellent service and very helpful with explaining the menu. The food was very tasty!
Good food nice staff professional and.friendly and great atmosphere a special.thanks to arianna for helpl as for.the food choice tnks
Lovely cozy place. Food was delicious!! Reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!
A great and wonderful Thai place in the area to indulge in delicious authentic platters at reasonable prices and optimal hygienic conditions. The service is always punctual and prompt as well.
Absolutely loved Busaba! I haven’t eaten better Chicken Satay even in Thailand.. We wanted a light lunch- so we tried a pork starter, chicken satay and Hoofan noodles.. everything that we ordered was a delight to our senses.. will go back for the curries..
It was a good experience but for some reason I didn’t enjoy it as much as I usually do the one in Wardor St. The food was good but not amazingly tasty as I was expecting and the environment is not as nice and vibrant... but still a nice meal for a good price!
An amazing thai experience and one of the best pad thai we had. The ambience was great although we seated outside and were not at the peak hours.
Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in london☺️. High quality thai food with superb service and food suggestion by alissa. Great job
My new this favourite. The food is fresh and the quantity is good as well. You will have to share tables as it can get crowded most of the times. The private tables are a bit cramped up though. You have good vegan options as well. Try the beer that's exclusive to bubasa it's good. The place is priced moderately.
My wife and I shared a black pepper beef pad thai and a classic one. Good flavours, a cooking more of a contemporaneous feel to it. Having been to Thailand and eaten fron the streer food stalls, the style and panache are different, naturally. The restaurant also highlights this dicotomy, with low rise tables that remins you of traditional Asian depictions, but with a flare that exhales modern London.
A good suggestion from my Cypriot friend, one that has pointed me towards many different places and clearly knows his London.
Great value for money in central London. This is a really nice place to dine out in the city centre. The food is great, very authentic, as are the drinks (like the natural juices and the teas). I liked the decor and the service was pleasant.
Awesome food & service! Must visit for those who want a change in their cuisine in London! Loved their craft beer 'Saison' which is a Thai Ale infused with ginger, kaffir lime & lemongrass!
Busy, loud, shared table seating. The usual. Service is pretty prompt, food is decent, it's a tried and tested place and a good place for a casual Thai.
One of the best pad thai dishes we've had anywhere, including in Thailand. The calamari starter was also amazing. The tom yum goong was quite good, and the portion was large.
Service wasn't great, with the waitress first forgetting the starter, only receiving it after mains, and then bring charged twice for it.
The food is good enough for a repeat visit.
We went with a friend last week, we ordered calamari , duck and for drink a red wine! We have been served by Stella who recommended us the food and everything was delicious and the service really good!!
Nice restaurant in the center of London, it was busy good if you have booking. The service it's good the food is so tasty. The servers knowledge is amazing how he explained the simple pad Thai amazing.Well done Zsolt
Best thai food, good service by Marco and Zsolt. recomend the Patpong Martini and Backking prawn whit Tamarind duck breast. in the evening time better if you book your table
Food was very tasty. I love pandan chicken and thai calamari. Staff was lovely!!!😊 i was recomended by a friend and it did not disappoted me. The location is great full of artists in the street
My girlfriend and I tried Thai food for the first time and I have to say this restaurant makes very good food. We had amazing Thai calamari with green pepper and Green curry fried rice. Also Gong thod prawns with an amazing chilli line sauce...yummy!!! The staff was friendly and recommended us an app to download to get rewards and discount. Good experience overall 😀

Thai calamari were fabolous and staff fantastic. I will be back i love the sharing concept of tables and the lemongrass incense is so goooood
Amazing food and service, absolutely loved it, the ambience and atmosphere was great, the manager Serdar was very helpful, definitely going back.
The food is very tasty and well presented. Highly recommended. Service overall friendly and attentive. Sharing concept of flavours really interesting and also sharing tables give chance to meet new people and exchange opinion about the food.
I live this place! Best Thai in London! The atmosphere is great and staff is always nice and helpful! Food taste amazing and in case of any allergies or intolerance they always find the right solution! Prices are perfectly acceptable!
This place is amazing! I had a great experience. Went there to celebrate my birthday with my friends. And I must say, we all thoroughly enjoyed there.
I had Thai green curry with rice and it was probably one of the best Thai curries I ever had.
It's a must visit for anyone looking for authentic Thai food in London.
Be prepared to queue but once you get seated, large sharing bench style tables. It's worth it.
Everything ive ever had here has always been yummy, extremely!
I urge you to try this place, I promise you, you won't be disappointed.
Good Thai food and decently priced. Quantity is a bit small but the food is yummy. Seating is a bit uncomfortable and also it has a sharing table concept. Good staff and quick service
The restaurant situated in one of the nicest and most touristy place of london, the Covent garden has a warm and comfortable ambience and is a place worth spending time at. The dishes were served in the most authentic way. The restaurant though great was according to me a bit understaffed as it had only 3 people serving the huge place in all.
The food was decent and not one of the beat I had in London.
The place to go for the best thai food in central london! The ultimate destination i would say!! Super fast service, excellent choices & great tasting food makes this place an all time favourite for many. Being a vegetarian, was not too sure if i will get some good choices apart from the regular fried rice or the noodles. But no, there was a good variety of sides, rice & noodles which is not only presented good, but tastes the best. Will come back for sure on my next trip to london. Highly recommendable..
Here is my dream place that I have been dreaming of when I'm planning to visit London. I am in love with Covent Garden and Busaba Eathai; so here is the mixture of them! Thai calamari is classic, same taste in each Busaba location and to die for. Beefs are amazing also. Actually I wanna try each item in the menu :)
Very nice place for dinner! Not expensive and large range of choices in the menu ... (The less: no dessert and I am a huge fan of these..!)
But the meal was so good, yummy and healthy. + very good portion for the price!!
Definitely a place to go.
After much anticipation I came to Busaba Eathai. Being somewhat like a critic to Thai food I was going along with the flow of the ambience which was very calming. Ordered a Tom Yum soup which was too much to even share between 2 people. Ordered a Green Thai chicken curry with a small portion of rice post that and a pot of tea. They didn't have the Jasmine Tea in stock, which is technically the only tea I'm fond of. Moreover, after the Amazing soup, the green Thai curry was quite a disappointment. It was quite thin as a gravy unlike the usual thick gravy that you could get even in Camden Town. But I guess we were paying for the vibe of the place. Not completely disappointed but the gravy kind of made them lose the few extra points. Service was alright since I think we stepped in at an off peak hour.
I have had a few trips to their many branches and I am always satisfied with the food I order. I’ve had the pleasure of trying their different curries, noodles, rice and breads. Everything is so fragrant and super tasty. This particular branch offers window seats which are perfect for solo-diners. The staff are always friendly and happy to cater to any dietary requirements. The menu has a lot of choices but I highly recommend the fish curry or their signature Pad Thai. It’s all really simple food but done extremely well.
I love this place! The informal seating is refreshing and homely. The fried chicken is unlike any I've had before. Come here with friends and you'll have a great time.
Busaba is a really good option for Thai food.
They have THE BEST THAI CALAMARIS in london. You just can't miss it. The portions and flavours otherwise are really nice. The prices are decent around £20 per person. The ambience of the place is quite good.
Halal- no
Recommendation- green chicken curry, massaman duck curry, sticky rice and THAI CALAMARIS are mandatory.
So this had to be the best restaurant I went in London. The food is excellent and the service is at the same level. I've tasted heaven and you should try it too. The calamaris were to die for.
I cannot forget the taste of Thai Green Curry fried rice at Busaba Eathai in Covent Garden , perfection indeed. It is one of the finest Thai restaurants in London. Cheers.
Great Thailand restaurant , magic atmosphere that is bringing you to the mood of the restaurant .
I advice a rice noodles with prawns and nuts , crab crackers and my favourite coconut rice sooooooooo good .
The decor and the incense smell is relaxing you and the staff is make you comfortable , the food is so taste so far is one of the best Thailand restaurant in London.
Just try
Great and authentic Thai food right next to Covent Garden station! Service was friendly and attentive and about £10 per head for lunch!
My first Thai food experience and I loved it!! My jungle chicken curry was spicy and delicious (though I would have definitely preferred more chicken in my serving) - Duck tasted too good! Pocket friendly meal for the quality you get! Definitely recommending this place!
I always come here when I'm with a bunch of friends because of their large communal tables, fast and friendly service and a very relaxed and welcoming ambience.
I always go back to Busaba Eathai. The ambience is cosy and energized, service is fast, and the food is consistently delicious. The Guava Collins virgin cocktail is probably my top favourite of all time. I usually go for a pad thai, but to be honest, almost everything on this menu rocks. I'll be back, multiple times.
A nice thai restaurant right at the city centre
Was at this restaurant more than once with colleagues and friends. A very elegant restaurant serving good thai food. A good choice for large groups, the restaurant offers different tables that can be arranged into cozy pockets with privacy for the group!
We opted for the dinner buffet and found it real value for money. There were at least a dozen dishes to choose from and the servers made sure that all the dishes came out almost at the same time so no one had to wait for any thing!
Let me say that the char-grilled duck is probably one of the dishes I ever tried.
It's maybe a bit high-priced but all your money is well-spent in this place!
I already visited the restaurant a second time and am sure this won't be the last time.
Busaba Eathai is a little chain potted throughout London, I had the pleasure of dropping into the Covent Garden for a late lunch.
My first impressions was rather negative as there where no staff to greet us at reception. Nevertheless we found a table on our own in the upper level. Each table seats 9 people on a bench so it is a great option for group bookings however being in a bashful party of 3 we sat in a empty space upstairs. The ambiance is relaxing and the service is prompt.
The Tom Kha Soup is exquisite in flavour, packed with chunks of chicken and coconut. It is a perfect portion for a light lunch. I would recommend finishing your meal with ginger and lemon tea, a revitalizing finale to a truly pleasant dining experience.
I love Thai food and I love Busaba . First , they have impressive Decor . When you enter the smell of lemongrass just make the place so exotic. They do have private tables but get ready to eat on a bench with other people . I am a big fan of their kalamari. Spicy pepper fried squid it's perfect. I have failed to find any restaurants that does its squid so perfect . Pad Thai is good , those who love rice should try their green Thai fried rice .
One of my favourite Thai outlets. Shared tables amongst customers adds to the constant buzz in this place. It can be quite tricky to just walk in and get a table without having a small wait, but the food is worth it.
I tend to favour the starter dishes. The sheer variety allow me to have a meal solely consisting of these yummy temptations. Favourites are the calamari, chilli prawns and the grilled steak.
Cocktail concoctions are quite unique and tasty. Funny part is that only after several visits did I realise they were non alcoholic! Guess I must have gotten happy just on the food :)
With the many Thai cuisines opening up in London, its not surprise to see that this place is constantly very busy. In my few visits to the place, I have always managed to come when there's a full house and often a long waiting time. Once you get passed this drawback, the food is definitely worth the wait. Perhaps another great aspect is that it is very reasonably priced taking into account the location and food offered. I would go again for sure.
The classic Thai affordable chain. They've done a damn good job in marketing themselves as the more fun, trendier and cheaper Patara, but like all chain's as you scale up your quality goes down. I still think for the place is good for a casual mid-week dinner after work. I am very impressed with the decor, sharing table concept, candles and good aromas traveling throughout the restaurant...
You will always find a queue this popular Thai joint. They are always busy, however the waiting time is never longer than 30 mins.
Service is excellent and so is food. Not too many options for the vegetarians.
2 dishes and starters are more than enough for a couple. Prawns and chicken curry are my favourites. I like wild mushrooms along with papaya salad as starters.
Non alcoholic drinks are also appealing - coconut juice with raspberry a must try!!!
Don't be trapped by the dogma that chain restaurants are not good! They can be! And Busaba Eathai proves that!
The atmosphere of the restaurant is lively! Tables are communitary, usually for 8 to 16 people.
For lovers of fried starters, the prawns are a nice choice! It is hard that you will ever get a bad curry here! They are all delicious: I am a big fan of the white fish one, not too spicy and attention is given to other spices! The coconut rice is a MUST TRY option! My preferred ever - and I come from a country where rice is a big tradition, and coconut water too! But any of the side dishes are good, no worries if you are not a fan of coconut.
The lychee juice with coconut is also really good! Don't leave without trying one of their juices or smoothies.
I am infamous among my friends to be a fan of cheap chain restaurant food. Having said that Busaba is a chain, which is popular among all types of foodies : ranging from fast food lovers to connoisseurs. This is my second meal in Covent Garden and it was great. Last time I tried the Green Curry Fried Rice, which was a bit bit spicy, so in this visit I went for the Calamari and Fried Chicken, which was absolutely delicious. The service is great, and the staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. Definitely visiting Busaba again sometime soon.
One of my all time favourite restaurants, Busaba delivers great quality Thai food each time. Being Indian, I need spice in my food and what better cuisine than Thai! This restaurant gives the traditional green and red curry a run for their money and comes out with Jungle curry and Lamb curry. I personally love the Jungle curry which is slightly on the spicier side but with their selection of coconut or jasmine rice, its fits well on palate. The thai calamari actually made me start eating calamari in the first place. It was not fishy tasting but rather like fries, crunchy and moist at the same time. I am also a veggie lover and their Phad phak is just the right side dish. The food is light and much enjoyed by even the light stomach'ed. My other favourites at this restaurant include Pandan chicken(even better than the one i tried in Bangkok), Pad thai Jay(Veggie lover's paradise) and Chinese broccoli. If we talk about the drinks- Ive been told that their Guava Collins is great but being a non-fruity person, i leave the tasting to my friends. The ambiance is great and the seating in many of their locations is plenty. However one has to be careful of the time and day, Fridays and Saturdays can make you wait for atleast 45mins. I highly suggest this place as its one if the best thai food you'll ever have.
Overall rating: 4.5/5
Food: 4.5/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Had a dinner here on a Monday evening in August. We booked but am sure we could have got a table (for 3) if we hadn’t. We were seated and handed the food and drinks menu. 3 Singha beers later and we went to order. The server explained really well that all food would come together/as soon as ready so if we wanted starters (“small plates”) we should order those and then order main course later. We did that and were glad we did as the small plates were not small. We had spring rolls and calamari. All delicious. Then we ordered main course and had ginger beef and Thai red curry and a selection of rices. All delicious. The best Thai beef I have had for a long time. Really juicy, fresh and tasty. Would fully recommend you try this place.
What a find! Come out of Convent Garden Station and this is tucked around the corner, away from the busy main street, but still with the atmosphere of being in the heart of London. We were met with really friendly staff, espeaclly Mary-Grace, who seated us anywhere we chose ( we did arrive just before the lunch rush, so this was possible). The service was timed just right through the whole of our visit, not too slow and not too fast, you do not feel rushed to finish and leave. We were a booking of 4 adults but is a family friendly restaurant and whilst we were there, there were lots of families with young children. They supply paper and caryons as well for the kids. The beers as you can see are large, and the cocktails were made well and tasted great. Prawn crackers were brought to our table with sweet chilli sauce to nibble on whilst we viewed the menu. We decided to order 7 items from the menu and then we all shared, like a tapas style meal. The food was cooked to a very high standard and good size portions. We finsihed off with a coffee. I have been to many Thai restaurants and this has to be top of my list. I will be telling everyone about it and will be back. Thank you for a great visit Busaba 😊
Photo doesn’t do it justice. Best Thai place around. I been coming here often and I get songkhla beef with rice or pad Thai both are great. Today I tried grilled half chicken and it didn’t disappoint. The vibe atmosphere, value for money and portions are great.
Most delicious thai food in London!! Love the chilli beef rice and the good atmosphere. Will definitely revisit. There are also student discount in weekdays.
Food was delicious! Very well spiced and cooked. Lots of choices if you’re vegan. There was no wait for a table. Nice chill decor inside. Service could have been better as we did wait about 10 minutes to pay. But I’d definitely still eat here again.
I love Busaba! If you’re craving an upscale Thai dinner at a reasonable price, here you go.
Beautiful calm almost zen-like restaurant in the middle of Soho. Keen to check out somewhere a bit different and not one of the major chains. Got a walk in table for 2 with no wait and you have the choice of joining others on a big table or sitting looking out the window side by side. We chose the latter for no other reason than we like people watching! Good selection of food but we settled on starters of thai fish cake and pork ribs and a couple of pad Thai. I had the Jay (veggie) and my wife the Classic. Both arrived piping hot and delicious. The prawn crackers were also top quality. Great venue, lovely food and friendly efficient service and all in a little over £70 with a bottle of wine and a tip (incl in the bill). Would definitely recommend.
Food tasted divine. It was a good sized portion and I felt full to bursting. The combination of spices and the presentation was very appealing visually. The staff were accommodating and ensured that items were prepared for the palate of the diner. A dish we requested was served mild rather than hot as the finer was unable to eat 'spicy' food. The dining experience was comfortable and we were not hemmed in by others and did not feel rushed to complete our meal. Overall a good first experience. The restaurant was recommended to me, and I myself would not hesitate to recommend to others. I did not use the bathroom as this was downstairs (to be fair, I did not enquire whether they had a WC for disabled persons, I just could not manage the stairs and left it at that).
Lovely Thai restaurant in an elegant neighborhood. The food was well prepared and served. The taste was a Wow. The prices are really fair ! Really enjoyed dinning there.
Average standard Thai food. Portions are smaller than expected but tasted okay. Quite popular though.
I always enjoy Busabi. I especially like the calamari it's a must have! Service, food and ambience is lovely. Luckily I work in the Strand so we come here for lunch often.
Staff was really friendly, made us very comfortable.
Food was authentic and delicious, beef was absolutely soft melt in your mouth, highly recommended fried rice. But half chicken was bit disappointing because of sauce which was too sour.
But overall lovely experience and would come back definitely!
Do not forget to make your booking in advance. The food was not great but was good. Calamari was the best one within the dishes. Chicken skewers was also good. Crispy duck was not that good. We love the curry chicken with ginger🙏🏻
